throwing my hat into the ring of artistic depictions of art! thoughts below

i generally prefer less organic, more abstract/digital depictions of art, so I decided to go with something resembling a camera/telescope lens, with more surrounding it since it can see and hear everything inside it (telescope because of its space mapping function and to set it apart from murderbot's function, surveillance). Which is also why the cameras pointing toward it have the telescope-like thingies at the top. And then all the sun rays are in reference to its name (perihelion). You can see parts of its lenses kind of resembling planets orbiting a fun. Then the circuitry and star maps in the background!

a child came into the nature center and saw tadpoles for the first time and when i told him they're baby frogs he thought i was lying and i suddenly realized that if you're 3 and don't know that tadpoles become frogs it does sound pretty fake. this kid will not fall for made up shit online he is a born skeptic.

ART giving the uhaul lesbians a run for their money because the first time it met Murderbot it said let me do experimental surgery on you and the second time it said move in with me. And theyre made for each other because Murderbot said yes both times.

also been thinking abt when and how ART told its crew about the rogue SecUnit it helped. theres the option where it's suddenly preoccupied w SecUnits; downloading articles, pointing them out in media, talking abt them. eventually someone asks where the sudden interest came from.

theres the option where its just so excited and infactuated that it keeps dropping hints that it met someone until someone finally asks. MB mentions that ART isnt very good at talking to bots, so MB is probably its first bot-ish friend outside of the other university ais.

i think the most likely option is it needed to talk to someone about it. ART doesnt rly understand what emotions media is meant to evoke on its own. its unclear what that means for its interactions with humans. it can somehow get a sense of MB's emotions through the feed. when it scares MB, MB sends it memories of its governance module punishing it.

ART goes quiet for several minutes in response. ART had a nice "childhood" and has never been hurt by its crew. it obviously has some experience with the abuse corporations enact, but not like this. it would've felt what MB felt emotionally as well as physically. that would've been very upsetting. its trauma module (and any other therapy modules) would've said it should talk to someone it trusts.

If Steven Universe ever returned, what is it that you want to see? Would you like a series that explores on different characters in different episodes? Much like Adventure Time in the later seasons or maybe a prequel series that explores more of the Diamonds backstory?

I've always said this is what my idea is and this Ask was my excuse to draw it finally 😂

Steven falling for every single tourist trap on his road trip without losing even an ounce of enthusiasm for any of them seems like a very Steven thing to me.
