I am giving up all meat that isn’t local and humane
That means no more takeout meat, no more Rosehouse meat, no more ranch meat. I will eat fish, but I don’t want fish substitutes. I don’t want more killing on my account. I will still eat meat at home, when I can source it properly and pay the price it takes to raise an animal properly, pay workers fairly, and use sustainable practices.
I need to make sure I don’t end up eating more meat just because I can pay for better sources. In general, no meat when I’m out, unless I bring it and know where it comes from. I will make an exception on my birthday. (Maybe Vinchenzos).
I want to cut out meat entirely 1/2 of every month. Fish or vegetarian at least half of the month. Chicken, Beef, and Pork small portions allowed roughly every second day. Let’s try this for 1 year.
