‘Orse - this is Mr. Mustang, you guessed it - a mustang.

I rescued Mustang last year from the BLM foundation here, he is ten years old and has been an absolutely amazing project. The end goal is for him to be my best friend’s dad’s horse, but right now he needs some work.

Liberty work, or work without anything around his head/neck has been one of our biggest things. One of the first times I mounted Mustang he bucked me off and I had a severe concussion, after that we did lots of work on the ground until I felt we were both ready. Now he stays beside my right shoulder as if he’s my shadow. Have had a couple rides on Mustang since then and he’s doing awesome. His lope sucks, that’s just the way it is, and Mustang has shown in two shows - he’s truly an awesome horse.

Today was rough - woke up at two am, after an hour of sleep and didn’t go back to bed. The night terrors are starting to work their way back into my head. I just got put on anxiety meds not that long ago and they were really helping me progress and get past the night terrors - they were finally starting to go away, but because of how stressed I am about the next month/month & a half, I think they’re coming back.

How to convince someone their worth loving?

I don’t really know what this is, I just need somewhere to dump my thoughts. I have a friend who lives far from me, a couple thousand miles, and this person I consider to be a little brother. But he’s in a really rough situation, bad parents, bad home life, and I just want to get him out. There’s three and a half years til I can rescue him, but right now it’s just trying to keep his morale up.  See the issue with this is that the boy doesn’t think he’s worth loving. He doesn’t put any value in himself, and he doesn’t believe me no matter how many times I tell him I love him - that he’s loved. I just love him, and I want him to be okay and know that he’s valued, it’s just kinda a sucky situation.
