It's Susie's bed. She's sleeping soundly... very soundly.

Under her bed is a plushie of some strange unidentifiable creature. There are some poor-quality stitches in the stomach area, with some stuffing sticking out, as if it was clawed at some point and hastily fixed up.

...looking a bit closer, you find a weathered comic. An issue of Ultimateman from BC Comics. The corners are wrinkled, and there are some pages with long-dried stains... and some that look fresh.

The one with the most is a page where Ultimateman hugs a small child, after saving her from...

...you gently close the comic and put it back.

You have an idea of where the UltimateHeal name came from now.

she reaches out and pats him on the shoulder, three times for good measure, before awkwardly letting her hand slide off and away as it guides back to resting on her hip. the other reaching to rub the back of her neck.

" jeez, dude. how can you be so cuddly and then just... blurt crap out like that?? you some kind of, like. demon goat? all dolled up so you can gimme a contract? you got the horns for it, heh. "

when ralsei suddenly takes a few steps forward, kris forgets. they do, for just a moment, about the... thing, inhabiting their body. the sudden inability to move back, it hurts. a paw reaches up to their face, and rests on their cheek, and it short circuits them both. soul and cage watch in unison while the prince's thumb glides over their cheek before pulling back... stained in red.

ah. when they fell through the glass, some of the blood must have stayed, even after being healed. they hadn't noticed. the words that come out of the darkner's maw come out as static noise to the human, but to the soul... it replies.

moonflower had been scribbling something down in his 'grimoire', (read: journal), stood somewhere higher up, when the wind had suddenly picked up. because of this, a few pages carefully tucked into the journal came loose, and are now fluttering every which way. " oh, no, no!-- " moonflower says, leaning over the ledge a bit, helplessly trying to grab at his falling notes, to no avail. that's when he notices her, down below. oh! one of the heroes... susie, he if he recalls correctly? well, maybe she'll help him! he calls out, " ah, hello, there! " as pages drift past her, " a little help, please? catch those pages, won't you?! they're very important, and...!--" " o, oh, and do NOT read them, okay!? i'll be down, in just a moment!-- " he disappears out of sight, for now, assumedly making his way down to where susie, and his notes, now are.

admittedly, being alone .... sucked. it was easier before, when she didn't quite know the feeling of having true companions. of having anyone she'd actually want to be around with and talk to outside of insults and threats, but now? standing here while ralsei ran off to get... something, she isn't entirely sure, she was half-paying attention before he waved and walked away, and kris doing who knows what somewhere else in the city? yeah. this kinda sucked.

but the numbness is snapped away with the call of a voice from above, followed by a paper sheet smashing against the side of her snout as a few others danced ahead of her and slid onto the concrete beneath. it takes a moment, and a few blinks, to register before snapping her head up just in time to see a shape up above on one of the roofs disappear.

" h-HEY !! what the heck was that for ?! "

a pink, clawed hand reaches up and snags the page in its grip, crumpling it slightly as she tossed it to the side. a tilt of the head, a shift of the torso back behind her to look at the remaining pages scattered on the floor. she squints as she tries to recall more of what that figure was saying, before crouching down to start picking up some of the pages in her hands. " lousy ass... how do you even... "
