with all the happiness of wilmon endgame and sadness of the show getting over, I want to add to it an amusing fact:

this series showed events happening in one year, which is two terms, over three seasons that went on for four years

the final look that wilhelm gave the camera after being set free from his crown was the only happiest, non-anxious, look he's ever given throughout the entire series

ofc everyone is waiting for whether there's a breakup or resolution but I'm more concerned about the gift simon had prepared like...WHAT PERSONAL GIFT WAS IT I NEED TO KNOW

the very logical part of me is so okay with not having wilmon end up together and my romantic side is fighting that as much as it can BUT THERES JUST TOO MANY THINGS AT STAKE UNLESS WILLE GIVES UP THE CROWN SINCE HE DOESN'T LIKE BEING A ROYAL ANYWAY BUT THEN AUGUST GETS IT WHICH MIGHT BE OKAY AFTER THE REVELATION OF HIM BEING BULLIED AND HOW HE HAD CHANGED THE INITIATION CEREMONY BUT UGHHHH there's really no points for my romantic side to win

tiny break down of wilhelm×simon throughout seasons to show how beautiful it is:

s1: the beauty of love at first sight, falling in love in ways that no is familiar with, the cuteness of it all made that season feel magical. (eg the field scene!!!)

s2: the feeling of "don't talk about this thing at all" and wanting to keep everything in control made us feel suffocated. it went to show how not talking about anything is never a solution.

s3: the after effects of everything being out in the open when complicated with class imbalance, the lack of understanding one's privilege, the want to do something meaningful with your position but hating where you are, THE MESS OF IT ALL shows how life is just never fair

will probably add another break down after the finale :D

that being said ITS SO COOL THAT THEY ADDRESSED WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A "HAPPILY EVER AFTER" MOMENT AND POWER DYNAMICS HAPPENS AT ANY AGE AND THAT HURT PEOPLE HURT PEOPLE

it is commendable how every action/situation in young royals is so close to how teenagers would react

they didn't try to show them making very mature decisions, and they stayed true to how teens/young adults take decisions when they first start to

no offence to anybody but rwrb was really good in the first half but then they ran too quick with the climax and resolution...they should have really made this into a series
