Hello, my name sooad Muhammad, I am a 61-year-old mother and former school teacher from Gaza💔

After the army entered the city, we went out to Rafah under the attack of planes and missiles.And the bullets that spare no one, we lived in torn tents that did not protect from the heat, the cold, or the rain. All the words in the world cannot describe what we have lived through. All I want is for you to look at me and my family with a merciful heart and help me.

Before October 7th, I lived a humble life, dedicated to teaching and raising my children. But everything changed. Since that day, my family and I have been living in unimaginable conditions—without electricity, without clean water, without safety.

Our home was destroyed, and we now sleep in a torn tent, exposed to the freezing cold. My children cry from hunger and fear. The markets are empty or unaffordable. Bread is now a luxury—I knead pasta just to make something to fill their stomachs

Please open your heart and stand with us in this time of despair.

We are not asking for much—just a chance to survive. A blanket for the cold. A piece of bread. A roof that does not leak. A moment of peace for my children

i've only glimpsed this phenomenon through the proverbial glass bottom boat but if "found family" is being restricted by nuclear family roles that is so sinister and people need to start getting aro about it real fast. get relationship anarchist about it, even. we've gotta reinforce the idea of chosen family over these prescriptive roles of parents siblings etc. especially in media and fandom. when you experience truly unrestricted chosen family dynamics in your personal life it frees your mind let me tell you

like i've seen people arguing lately that people overuse the idea of found family in fandom, putting characters forcibly into conflictless nuclear family roles that don't mesh with the source material at all—and while the latter part is true, and i agree, that's not really what found family/chosen family has really ever meant to me, at least not exclusively? everyone's definition of family is different obviously and i think that's where the rub is. all i'm saying is as a society and within fandom we could stand to get weirder with it!

i am once again thinking about how there is effectively speaking no space for displays of creative works that celebrate and interact with aromantic allosexuality within fandom

is that trans woman a 'trans radfem' or did she just disagree with you about transandrophobia. does this trans woman actually materially identify with radical feminism or are you using the specter of the TERF as a weapon against trans women. is your basic respect for and inclusion of trans women in the queer community contingent upon them agreeing with you at all times. answer quickly.
