my favorite thing about the moomins is that their domestic cottagecore aesthetic is basically just a cover for the fact that they’re actually like 2 degrees of separation from going full feral at any one time and literally everyone knows it

Been noticing lately that my bad leg's thinner than my good leg, and I can't decide if I'm being paranoid and noticing things that aren't there or actively wasting away

Just finished the Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
This is another one of those classics that really deserves the title. It's a fantastically soft and melancholy critique of hedonism and the American dream, one that feels a lot more modern than it is.

Just finished 1Q84, by Haruki Murakami.
This was a real trip of a book. Dark, surreal, slow, meditative, seemingly going out of its way to explain as little as it possibly could, and I loved it. Murakami is one heck of a writer, and I'm definitely going to have to look for more of his work.
#what i'm reading#1Q84#haruki murakami#i know i haven't talked about a book for a while i've been ill and this took me ages to read
