shatterstar is so accustomed to discomfort that I think rictor would do stuff like taking the pickles off his sandwich for him or picking the olives off his pizza because shatterstar just wouldn't think to do stuff like that for himself. "star you don't even like olives why are you eating them" "they were there..."

holiday special and vol3 trailer releasing within a week of each other has unfortunately reactivated the brainworms like sleeper agents so here’s a compilation of old art i never posted

1 is the most recent drawn entirely bc as an artist i have the power to draw whatever the fuck i want and i decided to use that power to draw nebula holding a rat (pose helpfully modeled by my own rat). 

2-4 are more old vaguely animal crossing inspired doodles but i’m really bad at mimicking other art styles so. 2 is from 2020 and 3-4 are from 2021.

5 is a posca marker doodle and 6 was me testing paints on some black paper. 7 is just mantis stealing neb’s jacket lol

One of the things about being a Marvel Comics fan is ... like most of the time when a movie or TV show is based off a book you like, no matter how bad or weird or different it is from the og story that source material will still always be there. You can watch the movie, disagree with it, and then go and read the book and it will all be the same.

But the MCU continuously proves that it holds weight over Comics. The Maximoff twins parentage got retconned as soon as AoU came out, making all PAST stories with Wanda, Pietro, and Magneto read vastly differently. Characters are being drawn to look like the actors cast who play them. People like Coulson and the rest of the AoS cast got written into the comics after being invented for TV. This is not a source material -> movie conversion but rather a conversation where both ends of the equation affect each other.

So ... it's hard to stay ambivalent about choices the MCU makes (like to say MCU is earth 616, when that's always been the main comic universe, or making Kamala a Mutant rather than an inhuman). They could very well change comic canon. And thats frustrating, and a little scary.
