Sixer was out in Gravity Falls’ woods again, working on something interesting by the lake. The sphere of water in his hands was starting to develop a layer of ice. Judging by the pleased look on his face, that was what he wanted. “There we go. Let’s see if I can—“ One ear flicked. He got the sense he was being watched. (sixfingersixtails)
@sixfingersixtails
“You’ve improved in the last year Sixer,” Settling on a tree limb, the diety gives off a silvery glow as he offers a small wave. It’s been far too long since he’s seen his friend and in all honesty? He wondered if he was still the same man as before.
“It is good to see you again, I do hope I’m not interrupting too much.”

hannah-the-small:
So much had happened, multiple attempts on his life, Hannah’s powers only growing, finding out his heritage… then again Thoth probably would know by now.
With shaking hands his arms wrapped around Thoth’s middle, his head resting against his chest as tears prickled his eyes. He swallowed and closed them as he breathed in Thoth’s familiar scent… only more noticable now he’d gotten in touch with the more feral side of his blood. “… don’t go….” he said quietly.
“I shall not go then,” He speaks just as quietly, wrapping his arms around his form with a low hum. How he missed this man so very dearly, a year... It must have felt like an eternity. While to him it was a mere blink of time, so much had changed and yet his adoration and care for the man hasn’t.
“I am so very sorry... I should have crafted a better stand-in for I could remain by your side more often. But my duties had been slacking terribly, ... It is still no excuse, I should have been there to protect not only you but Hannah and everyone and I am deeply sorry for that.”

Have you ever seen a twitter thread (or, in this case, two!) that so perfectly expressed everything you’d felt over months and months of harassment persistent? With all credit to @blackblobyellowcone, who is clearly amazing and completely gets it– not just why us women write and read the erotica that we do, but the history behind the censorship we, as a gender, have experienced. Bravo.

[ Text to Cipherus] Oh, you know.. Someone has to keep a record of every single occurrence of knowledge and events. My automatic system was on the fritz, so I had to do it by sight. takes a lot of time, was gone for a year I believe? Time truly does fly.
[Text to Cipherus] Oh we will certainly have to!
[ Text to Cipherus] Thank you, Bill, I have some things I need to patch up with James and Hannah and his family but overall things seem smooth. For now. I hope yours are well as well.

Thoth is the only muse that has been around enough to watch Bill and see things and it's time to give him a gift! So what does the God of Knowledge and Magic give to a chaotic being like Bill? Well other than freshly baked brownies, there are two presents. A book that will allow the other some forgotten arcane spells from the multiverse and the second? An orb that will grant the other one of his desires. -ThothScripture
bastard man’s birthday ! | @thothscripture
It’s a matter of seconds before the whole of the Cipher clan — his husband, his daughter, and even some birthday house guests — are excitedly gathered ‘round the book as they all chow down on large chunks of Thoth’s delicious brownies ( each served with a side of home-churned brown sugar-bourbon ice cream ). Bill’s rambling so very enthusiastically about the history bound between these sleek leather boards, flipping through the delicate parchment sheets in turn, golden eyes LIGHTING UP as page after page of long lost sigils and runes are revealed to him. He swore he’d NEVER have the chance to see or use these ancient magicks, all presumably lost to the tests of time.
That’s one of the benefits of being acquainted with Thoth. No information is too old or too scarce for him to resurrect.
And the orb? Well, it doesn’t take a God of Knowledge to know that’s better kept a secret, one he’ll let Rick and Bee in on later ( and no one else ). He’s promptly stowed it in his home office among his collection of ancient valuables, disguising it as an unassuming whittled cat figurine with a little cloaking magic.
Such power is best saved for a rainy day.
As his family continues to marvel at the book, Cipher sneaks away to the kitchen to text his fellow God ( and fetch another brownie square ) :

hannah-the-small:
Debbie seemed to be shocked to see him there, blinking a few times before she gave a small nod, “He’s in and… it has been a while. Almost a year maybe.” She stepped to the side to allow him into the small flat.
Just down the hall was the living room and James was there, pouring over old books he’d borrowed as he muttered to himself. “James? Someone is here to see you… its Thoth.” Debbie announced hesitantly. Pausing James’s head snapped towards them, eyes wide as they locked onto Thoth. There was something different about James but then again the God of Knowledge would know what had been happening in his absence.
Rising to his feet he stood before Thoth, he wasn’t sure what to say to him; ‘I missed you’, ‘why didn’t you come back’, ‘why now?’ so many different questions he could ask.
There are no amount of words that he can offer in apology, while he had been away due to his Godly duties... That was no excuse for how he had harmed both Hannah and James emotionally. Lifting a hand to brush back silvered locks as he stares at him, his gaze is somber and calm once James approaches.
Ah, a year... How quick it goes by. How much had changed, how much they’ve grown and how it all feels as though it was a blink of time to the God.
“Hello... James. I apologize for appearing out of the blue, again. It seems my lack of time management has resulted in far too much harm...”
Drumming his fingers together, his gaze momentarily lowers before sighing softly.
“Would you like to, by chance, catch up? Declining is more than fine, I understand how I’ve hurt not only you but dear Hannah as well. I should have come back sooner, duties or not and I have missed you as well. But I understand if you are upset and would rather I leave.”

Sparrow has been vibrating since September and its Noel’s first Halloween so he has no idea why. Honestly I think my spouses are the most excited, Miles in particular.
That is absolutely adorable- Seems I misplaced my phone for a month or so. Did you all enjoy Halloween?

Gaster didn’t entirely believe Thoth when he said there were no ulterior motives to this visit. But Thoth wasn’t attacking him, wasn’t threatening him. So Gaster supposed he could play along. For now.
“Progress has been slower than anticipated. While some timelines now have fewer humans than they used to, I’ve still been unable to completely eradicate them from any one timeline. I believe I’ve said this before, but they’re like cockroaches. They just don’t stay dead.”
“I believe you’ve mentioned that a time or two, your beliefs on them are very prominent.” Giving a small nod of the other’s reply, he drums his clawtips against his cane. His progress has been slower than anticipated. How interesting.
“Perhaps a solution to your problem is under your proverbial nose. Either way, progress is progress yes?”

Gaster observes Thoth with a cold expression, and doesn’t say anything for a while. He allows the other to speak, half expecting Thoth to turn on him. But that doesn’t happen. No, the deity seemed cordial, despite their altercations in the past.
Still. That didn’t mean Gaster was ready to trust Thoth.
“All things considered, you should feel lucky I decided to come out at all. Is there a reason you decided to visit, other than just to bother me while I work?”
Not that he was working on anything at the moment. Things had actually been rather relaxed in the lab lately, not that he wanted Thoth to know that.
“Luck has nothing to do with it. As for a reason, I did say I merely wished to see you. No ulterior motives necessary or needed.” Adjusting his bow briefly, he floats up slightly higher, getting at eye-level before resting against the door once more.
“How has your work been? Have you wiped out humanity yet? Or perhaps anything of interest?” While he knows the other hasn’t, it is a conversational topic that he figured would spark and stroke the other’s ego.
Let him talk of his work, surely that will lead to a less cold conversation.

"Sorry I--" He cleared his throat. "Resemblances and all that." Was that rude? Most likely-- but Stanford was a rude sort of man. The kind to leap out of a third story window just to get out of a conversation. "Right-- not Bill. I'll take care to remember that." The triangular shape was enough to set him off, unfortunately. There were no yield signs left in Gravity Falls for a reason.
“Here, allow me to assist in this encounter then.” With a wave of his hand, his form alters and grows. Long, silvery locks reach the ground as they fray and curl about his feet. His skin is dark, quite dark with almost a golden shimmer and his eyes were lined with golden liner to accent the emerald glow of his eyes.
“Is this preferable?” His voice, as always was ethereal and deep, rumbling confidently as he stares down at the mortal.

INTENSE SCREAMING IN THE BG. Someone really hasn't figured out the difference between flatlanders.
There is a calm energy about Thoth as he merely floats there, dark eyes glinting between red and shimmering of emerald.
“Is there something you need of me, Stanford Pines? Or are you assuming I’m Bill again?”

There was a long, heavy silence between Thoth’s request and Gaster’s response. Did Gaster want to reveal himself to Thoth? No, of course not. After one of their later altercations, he’d spent an incredible amount of effort trying to keep away from Thoth, or preventing the deity to get anywhere near him.
Logically, he knew Thoth was powerful enough to walk into his lab and kill him if he wanted. But logic wasn’t usually a powerful tool in the face of stubbornness and fear.
Yet eventually, Gaster appeared. There was no sound, no dramatic tearing of space. he was just there, standing a short distance away from Thoth, eyeing the other warily.
Thoth very well could enter the lab without any struggle, he could take the other and destroy him as easily as it is to crush a fly but... He isn’t going to. No, despite how he’s restrained himself in the past, just to indulge others and allow a fight to be more evenly matched, he no longer is concerned about this.
That isn’t the focus, however, the focus is the lack of need. Thoth was here to merely see how Gaster has been, regardless if he has seen everything, it is much better to hear from the other than just to read.
“Thank you. You look well, that is good.” His emerald eye shimmers with a silver tint now, the dark areas of his eye beginning to return and the pupil slitting like before. It seems he was adjusting his eye back to what it once was.
“All things considered, it is good to actually see you. Thank you for coming out.”

Though Gaster could certainly hear Thoth, the door still doesn’t open. From somewhere in the lab, the monster’s face shifts into a frown. He didn’t enjoy the idea of being watched, let alone by Thoth.
The door doesn’t open, and Gaster doesn’t appear. Yet echoing close by, Thoth could hear Gaster’s voice say, “You’re a fool if you think I’m the type to forgive and forget.”
“Hardly a fool, I do not expect forgiveness nor for you to forget. While I very easily could move on, I do enjoy seeing you again. I would offer a gift but I feel as though that would be an insult unless it was something interesting.”
Waiting by the door, he leans on it with a closed eye.
“Will you atleast allow me the indulgence of seeing rather than hearing you? I do mean no harm, for that I make a vow on.”
