Save my family from the devastation of war
Hello
Iam Jihad Nasser, a 34-year-old aluminum technician who took great pride in his work and his family. Jihad was deeply content with his beautiful family: his wife Ghada and their three children—Nasser, who was 6 years old, Jana, who was 10 years old, and Mohammad, who was just 2

Before the war, Jihad enjoyed a peaceful and stable life. His days were filled with work and joy, and his home was a place of hope and happiness. Each day was a new opportunity to achieve his dreams and provide security for his family. His home was filled with cherished memories and big dreams.

But then, the war arrived suddenly, opening doors to pain and fear. Bombs destroyed everything Jihad held dear—he lost his job, his workplace was wrecked, and his home, once a safe haven, was reduced to ruins. Everything turned to ashes in moments, and Jihad found himself facing a new reality full of devastation and despair.

With no choice but to flee in search of safety for his family, Jihad embarked on a difficult journey. They wandered through war-torn areas, looking for a safe place, but hope was scarce. They saw destruction in every corner, and the faces of people reflected the harshness of the times.
Amidst this darkness, Jihad clung to a small hope in his heart—the hope of finding a place that could offer his family some degree of safety and peace. Each day was a new struggle, as he fought to secure food and a place to sleep, but hope never left him.
Jihad knows that any help, no matter how small, could make the difference between life and death. Thus, he appeals to anyone who can offer assistance to his family, not just to meet their basic needs but also to help rebuild his lost dream and give his family a chance to live with dignity.
His story reminds us that behind every number and image in war news, there is a real person trying to survive and live in peace. With every helping hand extended, we can restore hope and build a better future..

this is not normal. Palestinian students the same age as me or in many cases even YOUNGER shouldn’t have to be online 24/7 advocating for their families just so they have some money to buy food and buy a tent after their old one was destroyed by a drone strike. please don’t be desensitized by this. there is an onslaught of atrocities being committed by israel every single day but we have to keep standing up for Palestinians.
the students on my dash… they’re all so young they have aspirations they have hopes. but now they need to wake up at the crack of dawn to line up at the food distribution center not knowing if there’s a sniper somewhere watching them. this is horrific

Most fucked up thing from the New York Times so far is the radio silence on the absolute destruction in Jenin (and the hundreds of Palestinians killed/detained/relocated) before proceeding to immediately report on an American woman who was shot in a West Bank protest. All the ways in which western media continues to say Arab lives mean nothing to them never fails to baffle me even after all this time, even though we all know better by now

Another fundraiser I trust!
Oday and his family, including his 7 year old sister, witnessed the unspeakable. His sister's husband's family was bombed in their tent, and they witnessed the bodies torn apart when they went to rescue possible survivors. The shock overtook him completely. I don't think any one of us could survive such a sight, finding our family members torn to pieces by the world's apathy and complicity.
Oday and his family deserve better. Please do not hesitate to donate.

ok let's make something very clear: Taylor Swift is not a baddie.
she a spoiled white woman who grew up very wealthy and who's individual carbon footprint is larger than the entirety of some small nations.
you know who is a southern baddie? Dolly Parton.
grew up in absolute poverty in a shack with dirt floors
(TS has a rich family and spent every Xmas in NYC)
modeled her style after the town trollop, who she thought was the most beautiful woman in the world, and embraced her sexuality.
(TS retains the image of the young innocent virgin white girl despite being 35 years old and every one of her songs is about a man)
wrote a song about the stupidity of the American work system
(TS is a billionaire with two private jets)
has supported the queer community for decades even through some of its darkest times like the AIDS crisis
(TS uses the queer community like a prop)
started a scientific organization to help cure viruses like AIDS and that even helped develop the Covid vaccine
(TS made the last superbowl all about her becauses she was dating one of the players)
has run a charity since 1995 that sends millions of books to children in poverty, particularly the rural south where she grew up
(TS has done nothing for the south and its problems despite her southern belle persona)
"But she told off Trump! Thats something!"
Honey thats the absolute bare minimum.
That's telling someone 'bless you' after they sneeze.
That's holding the door open for someone in a wheelchair.
Thats waving back to a little kid when they wave at you.
It takes 0 risk and 0 effort and should not be a point of praise.
"Well her southern fans and sponsors didn't like it."
So? Woman is a billionaire with connections all over the world. She literally doesn't need them.
Bottom line: Taylor Swift remains an egotistical bourgeoisie white cunt who should be known for her pollution levels instead of her mid music.
While Dolly remains the bad bitch she's been since the 1970s.

THE NEW YORK TIMES instructed journalists covering Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip to restrict the use of the terms “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing” and to “avoid” using the phrase “occupied territory” when describing Palestinian land, according to a copy of an internal memo obtained by The Intercept. The memo also instructs reporters not to use the word Palestine “except in very rare cases” and to steer clear of the term “refugee camps” to describe areas of Gaza historically settled by displaced Palestinians expelled from other parts of Palestine during previous Israeli–Arab wars. The areas are recognized by the United Nations as refugee camps and house hundreds of thousands of registered refugees.
The Times memo outlines guidance on a range of phrases and terms. “The nature of the conflict has led to inflammatory language and incendiary accusations on all sides. We should be very cautious about using such language, even in quotations. Our goal is to provide clear, accurate information, and heated language can often obscure rather than clarify the fact,” the memo says. “Words like ‘slaughter,’ ‘massacre’ and ‘carnage’ often convey more emotion than information. Think hard before using them in our own voice,” according to the memo. “Can we articulate why we are applying those words to one particular situation and not another? As always, we should focus on clarity and precision describe what happened rather than using a label.” Despite the memo’s framing as an effort to not employ incendiary language to describe killings “on all sides,” in the Times reporting on the Gaza war, such language has been used repeatedly to describe attacks against Israelis by Palestinians and almost never in the case of Israel’s large-scale killing of Palestinians.
