alright fuck it. star trek au.

starts from the basic ‘oz is its own planet’ logic i usually use with my sf verses, but this time it’s part of the federation. elphie joins up with star fleet because a. they’re generally opposed to the suppression of Animals, though not providing an active military/diplomatic presence on oz to combat it (which she is attempting to fix), and b. because in a service so diversified, nobody even looks twice at a green girl. activism without judgement. it’s perfect.

she’s a lieutenant in the science division, intent on developing new technologies that harness the energy she knows as magic to improve the lives of all federation planets.
