We need more stories about fucked up twin relationships cause what's more tragic than two people who are almost exactly the same by birth and then raised in a similar, traumatic way and then they both react in opposite ways to what happened to them. Like they're the only one who knows what happened, they're the only one who could understand but they don't. They see it differently or they're in a different stage of healing than you. You've lost your one companion and maybe you'll never get them back. But then you do eventually do get them back, because you start to communicate and you start to realise that you'd rather bite off your own arm then lose them. You pull each other up through steps of the healing, talk about the bits you feel the loneliest about and know that they aren't you but they're the closest to you that anyone is ever gonna yet. Fucked up mirror image and shit, you know?

Just your friendly reminder that Noctis is not an angsty teenage slob in Brotherhood--he is a teenager going through spiraling clinical depression. This is not the apartment of someone who is too lazy to clean up after themselves this is the apartment of someone who is too mentally distraught and weighed down to even bother with self-care.
