earlier today i told an acquaintance in passing that i'll often be in the middle of a novel and think "man i wish this shit were more ambiguous" and had to reiterate twice that i wasn't being sarcastic before they believed me, so this post is to say: i love when writers don't bother to explain everything, i love when stories end uncertain and unsettling, i love being required to think as a reader, i love when stuff makes no damn sense, no i'm not kidding

Seriously, look at this man! Skrunkly, well-loved, full of so so so much love and devotion. Please help me find him a home.

Minor update, with less panic: He needs a home still but I pushed some stuff back as far as I can and we can keep him longer than I thought at first, but we need to move him along as soon as possible.

I am doing this for his people. Tigger's family's living situation changed for the worse and they are now in a really unsafe, unsanitary house, and also cannot afford his medical expenses. He got really sick and they were going to euthanize, but the vet said he might have some time left with meds, so they asked me for help finding him a home. Parting with him is devastating for them and him. This lil guy has given his humans everything he has, he helped raise their youngest from a baby. He misses his family very much but simply cannot go back to them. The house is very unsafe. We all want the best for him, to reward him for his years of patient, loyal kindness.

Right now he is quarantined in my back room, bored and so very lonely, and it is breaking my heart.

Pros: honestly he is SUPER adoptable! He is about 12, neutered, litter trained, super sweet and friendly, okay with dogs (definitely small and allegedly large ones too) and with other cats, okay with OLDER KIDS who are grown enough to avoid his overzealous love bites. He does massive head bonks. His feet are stupid tiny. He purrs nonstop. NOT belly-trapped!!! He has so far been gentle and patient.

Cons: He is diabetic. We are getting him meds and he's on scrip food and seems to be doing a lot better. His cauliflower ear will require a little extra care. He is declawed in front (😡) and may eventually have the usual complications from that. He is fat and needs to lose a few pounds. He gives very hard love bites and you MUST avoid them!

I can't keep him indefinitely. We don't have the money to keep up with his needs, or the emotional ability to care for a chronically ill cat right now. The only room we have to host him has storm damage and a mold problem, and we have to get it repaired soon because I am severely allergic.

I can't find a local shelter that takes owner surrenders that isn't packed. The city shelter might put him down. I'm stuck doing this on my own.
