( LOKI )
“It’s not so simple as that,” he spoke seriously, his humor having fled his features, though there was an intensity in his eyes. “Brother, there’s much you don’t know, much that I do because I managed to earn Thanos’ trust for a brief moment, before he sent me to Earth…to New York. I wasn’t allowed much information, but you know how I am. I found ways.”
He rolled his lips. “I need to take a bit of time to gather my strength…but I need to know if Stephen Strange perished by means of the Infinity Stones. If he did…there’s all of the hope in the Nine Realms on our side.”
Thor looked at Loki with a confused look. So there was in fact hope? He turned and faced Loki when he asked about Strange. He hadn’t heard about who had survived and who didn’t. Only the ones he watched vanish, and knowing that Tony was missing. Steve had mentioned that.
“I do not know of his whereabouts.” He said plainly, looking down a moment before nodding. “But I’ll find out. I’ll find a way.” He looked at Loki. “Care to fill me in on this little plan of yours?”

There was a long pause before he spoke again. “I know,” he returned. “I…felt it happen. Being a creature of magic creates an attachment to the universe that can’t be rivaled by anything…even in the vast cosmos, I knew when it happened. It was why I used what magic I could muster to track you down.”
He took a deep breath.
“You know I’m not ever the optimist, brother…but what I can tell you is that there might still be hope, to bring them all back.”
There was very little hope that Thor had anymore. With everything that happened. With Stark gone, what hope did they have left? “Loki the universe is in chaos. Even if there was hope...We couldn’t possibly rally the universe together enough to even have a chance, at having enough forces to take him down.” He turned and took a couple steps, gripping at his wrist a moment. “And with Stark gone...The Avengers are in shambles.”

“You…” Loki shook his head, his gaze disbelieving. “Brother, I never expected you to Avenge me. I was ready to die, for you, for our people. I knew nothing could stop him, I just…” He swallowed back a lump in his throat. “I wanted you to live. For all of the wrong I’ve done, I wanted to do something right.”
It wasn’t often Loki spoke so honestly.
There was little that could have been said to keep Thor from feeling this guilt. He couldn’t protect his mother, his father, not even Loki. Sure Loki wasn’t actually dead...But he should have made sure that never happened in the first place. He looked down, with a sigh, before looking back up at his brother. “And you should have been right there beside me brother. That’s what I always wanted...And I failed.” He looked back down, wiping a tear that had shed. “And now Thanos has won. He’s destroyed half the universe all because I couldn’t keep control of my blind rage long enough to kill him.”

The god tilted his head, a hint of mischief in his green hues. “You watched him break my neck. I’ve lived through worse.” He moved one of his hands to the back of his neck. “I won’t deny that there’s still a great deal of pain there, but I simply knew if he believed me dead…he would leave you. I just had to hope that when the Ark exploded, you would survive as well.”
Thor listened to his brother, a sad look when Loki mentioned his neck. That moment had plagued him. Fueling his hatred for Thanos until he could finally kill him. And he failed. He failed all his people he had lost that day, he failed the Avengers, but most importantly, he failed his brother, whom he couldn’t even avenge.
“Brother I am sorry.” He said with a solemn look as he looked back up at him. “I couldn’t avenge you like I should have. I faced him, and I failed.”

LOKI.
“Well, you should know by now, brother,” he teased gently, straightening his clothes, “only the good die young.” A small smile tugged at his lips as he clasped his hands in front of him.
Thor couldn’t help the smirk that came to his features. His brother always did seem to have a...Comical way of speaking. Even if it wasn’t that funny of a topic. Like his brother’s death. Or...supposed death. “How did you get out? I watched him kill you.”

“How can I be expected to stop when I nearly lost you brother?!” He reluctantly pulled away, setting his brother back down onto his feet. “Don’t you ever do that again.”

Thor & Loki | Promise
The day they took away everything from me,
I swore on the legacy of the allfathers,
That the sun will shine on us again.
Till then, I shall never rest in Valhalla.

👀 + do you think you could have done more-- to save your family? your friends? ( ʘ‿ʘ !! )
HONESTY MEME | ACCEPTING!@regentofasgard
A distant look is on his face, thinking about what may have happened had his family still been there. Had they still been alive. Had he been strong enough to stop everything from happening. He wasn’t fast enough, strong enough, GOOD enough. He couldn’t save them. He couldn’t save any of them. “I will always think I could have done more. I know they are all in Valhalla, reunited with one another but...They’re there and I’m here. Perhaps it’s what I deserve.”

His mind had to have been playing tricks on him. That was the only thing that made sense here. He saw his brother die. The life being crushed from him aboard the ark. Looking at the visage that wouldn’t leave, that plagued him with grief he stood up, walking toward the window in Wakanda and shaking his head, leaning against the railing.
“Half of my people are dead...Perhaps more now that Thanos has won. And yet I still see my dead brother’s face.” He said to the vision of his lost brother. He couldn’t be alive. Thor was never that lucky. “And now it appears I have gone mad in my grief.” He chuckled, looking up and out the window. “When will it end Brother? When will you leave me to grieve without feeling like I’ve lost my mind?”

Quick reminder that I do not wanna deal with long posts where I have to scroll forever to get through one post. This includes long chains of reblogs or images. It’s nothing personal but it just clogs up my dash and makes it annoying to get through. Please tag your long posts with “long posts” or I may be forced to unfollow.

Can I get to 100 followers by the end of the weekend? Possibly...With your help. Not that the followers matter. But I wonder if it could happen.
