i have no doubt that we will end up happy individually and separately, dani. because in truth, joy is not far fetched. it is always something within reach. i just hope that there is a world out there that is kind to the both of us and kind enough for the both of us to take ownership of our love and not have to be sorry about it. i’m deeply sorry that this isn’t the world for us no matter how desperately i hope that it could be. i am deeply sorry for breaking your heart. i hope you know my heart breaks alongside yours all the time. there will always be a piece of me that only you, uniquely you own because you are the love of my life. live your life abundantly dani. do not be sparse in giving out your kindness and light. no matter how much the world has and is trying to break you, break through and above it dani each time. you are my strong, beautiful, loving, kind, caring, funny, too good for this world, too good for me dani. never let the pain and disappointment dim your kindness. take back and take ownership of your light because i will be watching in the sidelines and i will always, always be rooting for you no matter where life would take us. i pray for your dreams, i pray for everything you cannot believe yet. i pray for your joy. i pray for your heart. i pray for your passions. i pray for your siblings. i pray for your parents. i pray for everything that you worry. i pray for the car you get. i pray when you drive to work and when you come home. i pray for all that you are and all that you will become. your beautiful face, bright mind, kind heart, and precious soul will forever be etched and intertwined with everything that i am— untouched by anyone but us. only us because this is uniquely ours. i do not regret that we have reconnected again because we have made peace and i am peaceful in knowing that you have not stopped loving me the way that i, though unconsciously, have not too. and i don’t think i ever will. you will always have me even when i am not there. even when i cannot be there. you will always be in the words i read, in every lesson i learn, in everything that i see, in the people that i meet because [my darling, you will never be unloved by me you are too well tangled in my soul]. i am afraid that i will spend this lifetime looking for you in every person that i meet and love. you are and will always be my best story dani. you are my greatest poetry and the loss of my life.
