She thought he didn’t love her. Until he showed her how much he did.
He didn’t understand that she was breaking up with him. She wanted so badly to say no. But her desires got the best of her.

An interesting aspect of Naruto and Sasuke's dichotomy is how Naruto dreams of the future, while Sasuke dreams of the past.
Naruto's goals are about what he wants to achieve later in life. Sasuke's goals are about avenging those lost in the past, with little regard for himself.
Naruto has so much hope because his outlook on life is entirely determined by his dreams of the future, and what he sees in that future is himself him as Hokage. But Sasuke has largely given up on the future and the present, he sees the past as the only location of his dreams.

*this post is mostly exaggerations and rambling.
Team narusasusaku because the three of them are unhinged and their dynamic wouldn't make sense to any outside partner and also they are each other worlds and priorities.
That doesn't mean I can't enjoy what other ships bring to the table or respect other ships like the canon ones, but Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke are far beyond the normal team dynamic and no one deserves to be stuck on second and even third place in a romantic relationship.
Also, they are out of their minds. The narrative fucked up since day 1 if it wanted us to believe they could ever be anything but a three person relationship. There are entire arcs of them acting in love with each other destroyed in second just to create another arc of them being in love with each other in a different way.
Yamato and Sai meet Naruto and Sakura and think they are in love for the way the act, but that is because they never saw how Sakura was when Sasuke was there, but also Naruto and Sasuke kissed on the third chapter and are more than soulmates, but they would die willingly to protect her any day and she'd sacrifice herself willingly to save them any day and the only person who gets a grip on the situation is Kakashi.
They literally? Spend the whole manga thinking about each other? They were about to die or it was a critical event and boom, it was the other two faces in their minds. At the end of the world it was the three of them, Sasuke and Naruto with an arm less each but Sakura covering that space like she was meant to be there.
There would be not a single soul surprised to hear they were all in a relationship, because have you see them? hear them?

Laughing while imagine Sasuke in another life, where he's mentally healthier and keeps blushing and smiling like he used when he was a little kid.
Becuase he would be the first to notice the OT3 dynamic of Team 7, the first to realize that the attraction he feels for both of them is different and they speak on their own terms, so trying to compare them would never work. I think Sasuke is somewhere in the ace/aro spectrum, not being able to feel a romantic or sexual connection until he has first a friendship connection, you know?
So maybe it is Shisui or Obito who pinpoint the fact he technically has both a boyfriend AND a girlfriend, mostly joking, but Sasuke goes oh shit in his mind. It stays glued on his brain. He's not entirely convinced about Naruto having a crush on him until he realizes that Naruto talks 70% of the time about him like it is his favorite thing to talk about. Ever. Sasuke's comically aware of how popular and wanted are the three of them, yet they keep going round and round, tunnel vision on each other.
He plans and schemes and doesn't sleep thinking about how the hell is he going to fix their stupid situation. He's no way going to approach them with the proposal of a threesome that don't even include sex to start with (he's not in the sexual attraction part yet), so our little Uchiha is having an ongoing headache that seems to get worst the more he has to deal with Kakashi knowing face. Fuck Kakashi to begin with, fuck his perverted books and the fact that he somehow pulled off with Rin and Obito the same thing Sasuke is attempting, (allegedly, no one's sure how Kakashi fits there or if he does, 'cause there's the thing with Iruka and Gai going on?? Sasuke hates it all).
He almost breaks down crying on his knees the day he realizes Sakura feels something for Naruto. It is not romantic love yet but she is getting there, if the looks she keeps giving Naruto are a clue, or the blushing and defending and sleeping on each other's laps... He does panic for a minute thiking about the possibility of them falling in love for each other and forgetting about him, but they keep bonding by talking about him, so yeah.
So far so good.
I can't stop laughing, really. The idea of Sasuke's big suffering being "I feel in love with my TWO best friends" is adorable to me, the type of life he deserves, rather than being mentally fucked up with hatred and revenge because his older brother massacred his entire clan. It fills my heart with joy to put him in those scenarios, silly and common with the possibility of an incredible pay off.
He deserves all the love in the world.

just a small observation after rewatching episode 6 [4/4] for the millionth time: in the credits, both mew and top are associated with water imagery. in episode 1, we see mew sitting next to a fish tank, his hand against the glass of the tank, looking from the outside in, unable to touch the water. in episode 6, we see top sitting in a bathtub, his hair and skin wet, a large window (glass) behind him. so one of them is on the outside and can't reach in, the other one is on the inside and can't reach out. could this be foreshadowing for anything?
