I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

Sander's sides thought

Rather than actually being fictions of Thomas's imagination they're some kind of entities used to lead people down the path of being good people. The group Thomas has has been together for a long time and through a series of conflicts, the group is split by ideas of how best to make their host a good person.

But they don't choose to do this, they have to make a good person before they're freed from their "job." Each member was added by a failure and meant to add balance. Originally it was just the creativities, and Logan. But as the others got added to their group and tensions rose because of the conflicting ideologies. But they still have to work together to get out of this mess. Their group is already on the larger side of these moral teacher squads and they're not too sure if they'll ever be able to succeed if they grow too large. Hence the urgency in every video to get the problem solved and the utter despair by everyone (especially excluding patton) when Thomas is thought to be of moral failure. And how morality was able to 'mislead' Thomas at all. Because 'morality' is closer to a job description than an embodiment, given to him because he was best at it.

Idk, Roman's "you're supposed to be good" line in SVSredux got me thinking too hard.

Okay but what if the Sides have like "True Forms" like biblical angels. They just take the form of Thomas cause he's the host, but they're actually are like, giant balls of energy with multiple wings and eyes

i find moceit such an endearing yet fascinating ship, because of how their every interaction subverts the general expectation the very early series set up. patton is, to me, a lot more interesting of a character when interpreted as the morality of a young catholic boy, adapting very poorly to the fact that that young boy is now a full grown adult man, who needs to start considering things from a more nuanced point of view. patton was born from what c!thomas was taught was right and wrong, and he still has trouble letting go of that rigid mindset. and janus effectively juggles protecting c!thomas and his mental health, and trying to gently guide patton through deconstruction. at the end of svs redux, their back and forth with each other is essentially just janus reassuring patton that c!thomas is still a good person, he just has to put himself first sometimes in order to be able to do any good for others, and patton panicking at the concept.

overall, there are so many scenes where janus is just. incredibly soft towards patton, if you pay attention. he acknowledges, almost immediately, that he knows patton isn't trying to hurt c!thomas. his voice is calm and gentle, as he assures patton "i'll take care of him", reminds him that they're on the same team. not to even mention all the fluffy filler shit, janus giving patton a christmas card wrapped in multiple boxes because he knew he'd appreciate the gag? patton calling janus "jan"?? the whole thing about janus giving patton half of his sandwich, and then immediately trying to deny it by claiming he thought patton was a trashcan???

Can we take a minute to talk about how the dark sides appear? Like, we've seen Virgil rise up onto the screen many times with ease, however we've also seen him be summoned in a flash by outside influences. We've only ever seen Remus flash onto the screen (unless you count his first appearance in DWIT but I don't because he was behind the TV) He clearly has no interest in rising up like the light sides do. He's there to spook you and catch you off guard. However we've seen Janus ATTEMPT to actually rise up multiple times. Once when he was pretending to be Logan in SvS, and another in the latest Asides. We can tell he isn't very good yet, as he keeps stumbling and has yet to go up smoothly, but he's TRYING. He's trying to fit in and be like the light sides. He's trying to prove to Thomas that he's on his side. HE'S TRYING TO SHOW THOMAS THAT HE ISN'T A THREAT. Anyway this has been your sporadic "Remy Wont Shut Up About Janus Sanders" post, come again.

Shorter post but we balling. Anyways my favorite headcanon is that the brothers say genuinely concerning shit sometimes and everyone but them registers that whatever they just said was, in fact, NOT a healthy mindset/normal experience. Raph does it the least out of the four, though, so his “moments” tend to be especially jarring

do their rooms look like how the insects would build their homes in nature?

Like Logan having an elaborate scheme of rooms and subsections and furniture blocking straight ways with knickknacks everywhere so you feel like your walking through a winding tunnel

Or Patton having it more open but loads of shelfs like you would see in a beehive with all the little hexagons. And the hexagon pattern being used everywhere in decoration like wallpaper or a rug and such

I don't know more examples of the top of my head

But I just wanted to know if the rooms are still just Thomas's house or if they are personalised in that way?

This is one of those questions I really wanted to draw but I suck at environment design 😭 sorry for taking so long lol

Rather than having their own rooms, I thought it would be cute that their "rooms" where different zones of the living room. For example: Remus and Virgil have their own nook behind and under the couch, Logan and Roman would be over the desk, and Janus and Patton would be in the kitchen. And they use little trinkets for furniture because of course. That's so silly.

I can only offer some poorly executed concepts lol, Im still thinking about Janus and Patton's space and YES im making this about moceit. shut up.

I really like the concept of the rooms tho! That could be in the Mindscape/the Imagination where they have their own space

The best part is you can use the oats if bought some for the oatmeal recipe! And you can add any combo of nuts and fruit and things or none at all and have it plain with just syrup and cinnamon :) Up to you!
