born and raised in valdez. her parents were successful - her father was a doctor, and her mother was a real estate agent. they looked like the perfect happy family.

behind the scenes, her father was a violent man with a bad temper. her mother wasn’t much better. it wasn’t uncommon for avery to hear raised voices and witness violence nearly everyday. she became detached to it all; that was what a relationship and what love was supposed to be. fiery & unpredictable.

her father used to assist the savages in distributing drugs - acting as somewhat of a runner for some extra cash. he used it to spoil his daughter; convince her that he actually loved her.

avery was popular. red hair and bright eyes caught anyone’s attention. she held herself with an air of righteousness. she did it so confidently that people believed it and she was popular. surrounded by ‘friends’.

high school came and went. she did it all; the parties, boys, girls, sex, drink, drugs... she started her love affair with weed. the tranquility that came with it. now she can’t go a day without sparking up.

with the popularity came insecurity. one night stands never turned into relationships. maybe her attitude put them off. maybe her appearance. she developed depression. her parents wrote it off as attention seeking and shoved more money in her direction.

when her parents found out about her sexuality, they were appalled. convinced their daughter had been ‘turned bad’. they forced her into denouncing her sexuality in front of family & friends. living a lie.

on her graduation day, her parents never arrived. when she got home, they’d left a note. they’d skipped town. they’d had an altercation with the cobras. bad blood. they filled her bank account and she never saw them again.

avery tried waitressing, bartending... nothing was good enough. she wanted to make art. sing. share her talent with the world.

the jazz bar became her local haunt and it wasn’t long until she found herself auditioning for a job.

now she spends her days getting high and her nights performing her ass off.
