Swift beats of the apocalypse [CLOSED]
He didnât like being a killer. The thought of having blood on his hands never exited him or anything of the sort. Shit, when this all began he was just a kid with a passion for irony and turntables. People made him out to be a hero after a while. He wasnât. If anything, heâd fucked up spectacularly. Even after reaching a level of power known as âGod Tierâ. Ha, some god he turned out to be. All he did was rock some stupid looking pajamas. Being called a âgodâ didnât really mean anything.Â
Though a certain someone convinced him otherwise. Her words were like poison, seeping into his veins. But in his mind, they were milk and honey. Everything she said just made sense. Before long, theyâd made the best of several bad situations. As long as he stuck by her, he didnât fuck up anymore. With her by his side, he actually accomplished something. They actually became gods. In their own minds, of course. But who would argue with them? Especially when they were capable of this.Â
Sector 4. Relatively overlooked, but by no means safe. The few skirmishes that took place were minor in comparison to the other sectors. He liked it here the best. Not as much screaming. The screams would likely take days to get out of his head once this was all over. But in the end, this had to be done. Such was war. As much as he hated it, heâd rather they die than him.Â
âStop. Hammer time.âÂ
A comical reference. But what followed was anything but. Everyone within the nearest vicinity. Every person. No, even more than that. Every object. Even the air itself. It was all frozen. Frozen in time. Years of honing his powers made something like this easy. And whatâs more, being able to selectively choose who gets to be unfrozen. In this case, his allies from his world. It was only a small  part of the sector, but this would do. He and Aradia would go around clearing out the rest of it in time. The otherworld soldiers who were unfrozen were now left with no opposition, the Hive Residents unfortunate enough to be nearby completely frozen and defenseless. And as the soldiers readied their guns, Dave knew what was about to transpire. As such, he turned around. Unable to face the consequences of their actions. But would he be able to drown out the sounds of bullets piercing through the flesh of innocents?Â
With a set of headphones and an Iphone, anything was possible!Â
âMy anaconda donât~ My anaonda donât~ My anaconda donât want none unless you got buns hun!âÂ
Now, to take down the rest of this sector.
Greetings friends! The time duo of Alt!Dave and Alt!Aradia have made their way towards sector 4 in their quest to help their city win the war. Dave in particular will be taking a less active role, seeing as heâd rather not have blood on his hands. But his actions lead to deaths nonetheless. Aradia, on the other hand, will likely be taking a much more active role in attacking people.
Theyâve only affected a small portion of the sector for now. But if left alone theyâll steadily make their way through the whole sector, along with the generic Otherworld soldiers. The soldiers themselves are usually not that big of a threat, but combined with Dave and Aradia, the situation can get very dire.
Theyâre essentially masters of time. Capable of speeding up, slowing down or even stopping it. This makes them a dangerous duo to contend with, especially when they can both apply their own versions of their time powers in different ways [Dave for example can pull doppelgangers of himself throughout various timelines into his to make an army of Daves. Though Aradiaâs overall mastery over time is much stronger than Dave.]
If anyone is willing to step in and contend with them to drive them out, feel free to message me or Aradia mun! Someoneâs going to have to save the day, after all.

âOh, for the love of shit.âÂ
This was the absolute last thing anyone needed. Heâd been worried about what might have happened to her in the middle of tall this, but this is even worse than he expected. Having Jade going Grimbark now of all times was bad news. That meant that the batterwitch probably wasnât far behind. But then the thought runs through his mind. Was this even his Jade?Â
âPlease tell me that isnât you. Or like.. My you. From my City. Because I will shoosh pap a motherfucker if youâre being forced into this fuckery again.â

Well, what do you know? Miracles do happen. The fact that heâd been worried about his Bro alone made Dave realize how foolish he was being. No one was better suited at handling situations like these than him. He knew that all too well. Even so.. Bro was human. No matter how much he hyped himself up to be the shit, he was no different than everyone else. Seeing him lying dead in a pool of his own blood made Dave realize that.Â
A sight that haunts him to this day. A sight that heâd rather die before seeing again. And suddenly, he was reminded of why he was worried. Not just about him, but about everyone. Screw seeing too many dead Daves. Heâd rather see a million of those before seeing another dead friend lying in front of  his feet.
â.. Sup. I know what youâre thinking, but this is all too fucked up. Youâve gotta know this is fucked up, right? I mean, Iâll strife a bad sumâb if I have to, but whatâs the point of killing these guys or them killing us? We should be working together to look for another answer, not going 300 on each other.â

âTime and place for everything, baby girl. Though I guess thatâs kind of a moot point, seeing as we have all the time in the world. Iâd rather we both stay focused and get this messy business over with. I need someone to come back home to, after all.âÂ
A hand rose to meet her own, fingers entwined in a moment that hardly seemed suited for the situation at hand. Some could question their state of mind and theyâd be well within their right to. But theyâd be wrong. They werenât insane, neither of them were. Aradia was the equivalent of a goddess bred for combat. Sheâd been in too many fights and seen death one too many times. At this point, she was done with death. She was done with losing in general. And that alone ensured their victory.Â
Because whatever Megido wants, Megido gets. Stand in her way and a handmaiden styled beatdown was likely to occur. Maybe that was what drew him in. What brought them together. He.. wasnât really sure. But he knew it was right. It was all meant to be. And heâd be damned if he let some other world put what they had in jeopardy, even if he did still feel a bit uneasy about the whole thing.Â
âYou think we might run into them? Those âother versionsâ of us? Cause Iâm gonna be honest, Iâve seen one too many dead Daves already. Even though I know youâre into that kind of thing.âÂ
He was surprised she wasnât starting an impromptu corpse party right now.

Time and space
godbarktierÂ
Well, he wasnât dead. That was a start. This was all too much and it was happening too fast. But at the very least he wasnât alone. Knowing that Bro was out there fighting as well put his mind at ease, even if only a little. But he was still worried about everyone else. Terezi, Aradia, John. And most of all, Jade.Â
Dave avoided fighting as much as he could as he rushed towards the sixth sector. The place where he and Jade spent most of their time together. It was the only place he could think of to look for her. And for the moment, it didnât seem to be overrun with crazies from another world tyring to kill everyone. But no sign of Jade either.
âJade? Are you there?! Come on dog girl, donât make me worried. â

Non stop infinite stabs [EVENT OPEN]
After about the fiftieth or so stab, he was convinced heâd gotten rusty. Daves were dropping like flies. And if there was one thing he and every other version of himself despised, it was dead Daves. For all their power, theyâd been without it for far too long. Not to mention not having really fought since coming to this city. And on top of that the fact that he was worried about his Bro, John, Jade and the others.
Dave wasnât fit for combat. Not today. But he wasnât here to kill. He was here to stop. He sides with those who was against the fighting on oth sides. Who wanted to find another way. And he was sure it was the right decision. He and his dopplegangers summoned through various timelines where they fought instead (And lost every single time) stopped as many enemies as they could. But there were still too many. Slowly, but surely, they were being overrun.
âIf there was ever a time for a miracle, it had better happen right motherfucking now.â

Nothing but time [CLOSED]
Two cities in disarray. Complete chaos around every corner as two sides fight to survive. Or fight to stop each other from potentially losing their humanity. Heâd seen both sides of the fight. New enemies being made. Mirror selves fighting to the death. Or old friendships being broken over how to deal with the situation correctly. Some clung to their morals. Others cast them aside, seeing their own lives as something far more valuable than their humanity. But where did he stand?Â
Did it matter? His mind had not been his own for years now, though he was wholly unaware of it. The screams of frenzied citizens died down in an instant. Not because death had taken them, no. But rather, because theyâd run out of time. Dave Strider was among the many whoâd joined in on the assault against the other version of their home, seeing it as the correct action to take. And while he had yet to claim a life, his actions were still directly responsible for countless deaths. The militia that spearheaded the assault took advantage of his powers and shot those who were frozen in time, unable to defend themselves. At the very least theyâd die without experiencing pain.Â
Stepping forth from the shadows after the massacre of an entire city block was complete, Dave stood over the bodies of the fallen. Cigarette hanging low between his lips with Lil Cal peeking eerily over his shoulders. The puppets eyes changed colors vibrantly, though heâd stopped questioning that part of it years ago. There was nothing strange about Cal. Cal was his friend. Cal knew what was best. After 30 years, you pretty much become convinced of that. Even so..
âNot gonna lie, ram babe. This is leaving a pretty bad taste in my mouth.â

âI mean, we can try. I had this whole sit down with her before and it didnât really go anywhere. But I wonât lose hope.âÂ
Rose was a smart girl. There was no way sheâd just let herself be stuck in that rut forever. At least, he hoped so. But even so, she was hitting the bottle pretty hard back on the meteor. And sheâd been stuck in a state of inebriation for two whole years. That.. was not healthy.
âMaybe you could just space port all the booze in the world away or something. That sounds like a solid plan. My brain is just full of good ideas lately.â
As the hug was given back, Jade nuzzled against him and smiled. It was always a very touching thing when someone like Dave opened up, even if it was just a little. She just cared so deeply for him and theyâd already been through enough. It was finally time for a rest and a deep breath of fresh-ish air. Not that the situation was exceedingly normal and good. But little steps were great in the optimistâs mind.
âYou donât have to thank me, silly. What kind of friend would I be if I let you worry by yourself?â She hugged him tighter. âYou know, he showed me that one movie he was so obsessed with once. It was a kind of funny movie, thoughâŠI am not actually sure it was meant to be funny. Oops.â She wasnât going to mention his subsequent freak out, that wouldnât have been a nice topic. âHmmâŠwell, if she does drink we can help her together.â

John is here. Bro is here. What a time to be outside, considering the waterworks were now in full effect. Quite honestly, he didnât give a damn if anyone saw him tearing up either.Â
God damn he was happy.

The embrace had been the most comforting thing that Dave had experienced since coming to this city. And for it to come from one of his friends at that. For a moment, despite all his doubts, he had actually bought into what she was saying. That everything really would be alright. John and Rose would definitely show up. One day soon. And theyâd be perfectly fine, safe. Despite his failure to protect them. As long as he was the only one that died, then that was enough. They at the very least deserved to go on living.
âYeah.. Yeah, youâre right. Egbertâll probably show up when I least expect it and start raving about dumb Nic Cage movies again. And Roseâll.. Hopefully not be drunk out of her mind. That whole drunk thing was a pain. But.. Yeah, Iâm fine. And they are too. Just gotta wait it out.âÂ
The embrace was returned in kind. Despite how strange things had been between them, he still couldnât help but show vulnerability around her and find comfort in her presence. Hell, he even felt like smiling again for the first time in months.Â
âThanks Harley.â
                          âDaveâŠâÂ
Sheâd heard what he started saying and caught on to what it meant. And she couldnât say she didnât worry about them either, but they were their friends. Theyâd been friends for such a long time it wasnât out of place to worry, even for a cool kid. She reached her arms over to give him a reassuring hug.Â
âYeah, I mean they are more than resilient, right? But I think it is just kind of natural to worry about the people you care about. If it helps, I am almost one hundred percent sure that John was okay when I left. Also that everyone was okay, but I amâŠstill having problems with my memories. I was before I came here too, but now it is worse. Maybe they will show up here soon though! Then we can know that they are really safe.â
âI am sure theyâll come here soon! We just have to be a little optimistic. I mean, I showed up. SoâŠthey might be coming soon as well!â

âI havenât honestly. Iâd feel a lot better if they did show up there though. I canât stop worrying-â
He caught himself before he could continue. Dave never enjoyed showing his insecurities and troubles around his friends. Especially after having built up this âcool guyâ ppersona of his for so long. Although Jade likely knew much more about his more personal thoughts than anyone else. After all, she was dating hs feathery doppelganger for a while. Which is still totally weird. He needed to find a way to not think about that anymore.
âWell, those nerdsâll be fine regardless. They always are. Especially John. Long as heâs around being his dorkass self, Iâm sure nothing badâll happen.â
Heâd lost track of what happened during those last moments, to be honest. He couldn't possibly have known that Rose lost her life during that skirmish. And John had disappeared to god knows where. Even if he said that theyâd be fine, he had a hard time believing himself.
âIâll tryyyy. But you have to admit that this place is kind of like a huge adventure if you really think about it. I also have a rifle, so I can take care of myself if things get weird. It is not as good as what I am used to shooting and it just shoots bbs, but it is something at least.â
She watched as he leaned back, following after him and leaning her head on his shoulder. Her ears twitched, one settling down against him as the other flopped against her head. It was nice to be able to spend some slower time with her friend, and the area certainly calmed her down a bit more. But even if he said to not get out of control with adventuring, in his own way, she still felt like she needed to explore the different places the city had. She couldnât help it though.
âHmmmâŠâ She glanced up at him, worried but went back to smiling after a moment. âWell, I am glad youâre here too! I couldnât imagine being alone here. So I am really happy you found me! I hope John and Rose are doing well, though. IâŠwonder if they will show up here too? Have you seen them here?â

âTry not to let your adventure boner go out of control though. This place can get pretty weird at times.â
Heâd been around long enough to know of the dangers that Hive City presented. Not that he didnât think Jade wouldn't be able to handle herself normally, but her abilities were likely taken away from her just like his. Which made them harmless compared to some of the other people here. But as long as they stayed out of any real trouble, they wouldnât have anything to worry about. And he was intent on making sure she didnât get in trouble. He may have failed once, but he swore that heâd protect her no matter what.
Heâd sooner die than let something bad happen to her again. Unless it was like fleas or something, but hopefully she didnât get those. Man, this whole part dog thing still weirded him out a bit. He plopped down right next to her, leaning down onto his back with a sigh of relief.
âAbout as good as Iâll ever be. Iâm just glad youâre here.â
âYouâre going to cook for me?â She gave him a teasing look before letting out a little giggle. âFine! But I will probably keep doing it if you are not going to eat right. Besides, now it will be like camping instead. So it is kind of like an adventure! An adventure within a bigger adventure!â
Some times the dog in her liked to chase things, but this wasnât one of those times, fortunately. Sheâd already ended up chasing two things in her stay in the city thus far, but that was for a future discussion. An embarrassing one that would probably never happen. Finding a nice little area, Jade plopped herself down and smiled.
âSoâŠhow have you been otherwise?â She worried about her friends and she had so many different questions but she didnât want to suddenly throw everything at him. Her ears twitched, lowering themselves a bit. âButâŠhow have you really been?â
