Nicholas had bought supplies while Jian had bought food for later during the party. Nicholas and Jian had decided to throw a New Year’s party for themselves and the members of &Team. Jian’s members had gone back home for the holidays so Jian was left alone with Nicholas and Nicholas wanted to celebrate with everyone.

Jian set out the food while Nicholas put up the decorations and set the mood for the party. “Aí, you did amazing” he took a small piece of the brownie she was putting down. “Wang Yixiang” she crossed her arms. “Whatttt I wanted to try it” he pouted. “You can wait for 20 more minutes Nicho” she chuckled as Nicholas tickled her. “Stoppppp” she whined cutely as the door bell rang. “We will continue this later” he smirked opening the door.

“In your dreams Nico” she chuckled going to greet the members. The members came in loudly to say the least, but it was &Team of course they were loud. “Wow, Jian noona did a good job!” Euijoo admired eating the cookie she made. “Thank you Euijoo” Jian smiled as Nicholas came in hugging her from the side. Fuma and K were drinking some sake watching Maki, Harua, and Jo playing a game.

The party went on normally with no accidents. “Let’s have a toast, We accomplished so much this year and that everyone could show off their true potential” K started. “And to Jian, who has helped Nicholas through 2023 and I’m hoping in 2024 you both can grow closer together” The members cheered drinking the nonalcoholic drink. “I have to confess something” Nicholas turned to Jian.

Jian got worried as Nicholas pulled her closer. “Our journey as a couple I was hard, I admit wasn’t the best boyfriend in the beginning but now I realize how much to mean to me Jian. Our journey together isn’t over yet and I’m happy to call you mine” Nicholas kissed her as the members cheered. “Happy 2024 Lee Jian” Nicholas rested his forehead on hers. “Let’s have a wonderful year Nicholas” Jian smiled.

Midnights Kiss

Summary: with a spontaneous trip to New York, Anton celebrates New Years with his girlfriend and his family.

With SM’s permission, Anton took a trip to New York to surprise Rin and spend New Years with her. Aria would be performing for New Years Rockin’ Eve in New York along with NewJeans. He came a day or so early so it wouldn’t interfere with New Years. Anton stayed with his mother in New Jersey texting Rin.

Anton went to the venue the next morning to see the group practicing for tonight. They would be performing ‘Perfect Night’ ‘Fearless’ and ‘Antifragile’ for the show. Anton watched happily grabbing coffee for the group. “Rinnie” Jiyeon grabbed her water bottle. “Hm?” She asked turning to Jiyeon. “I think someone is here to see you” she pointed to Anton. “Chanyoung!” Rin ran to him giving him the biggest hug.

“Hi Chaeri” he kissed her cheek. “How? What? Why? When?” She asked as Anton chuckled. “Welll I got permission from SM to surprise you and the members are going home for New Years soooo I thought this was a good excuse to see you” Anton explained as Rin smiled shyly. “You didn’t have to do that Anton” she pouted. “I wanted to” He replied as he handed her the hot coffee.

The next few hours, Anton showed her around New Jersey mostly since it was his home after all. Rin got to meet his mother and younger brother, funny enough his mother knew Rin’s mother from a drama they did in the 90’s.

Night soon came as the performance went underway. Anton’s mother Hyejin filmed the entire thing with Anton watching also filming (mostly a fancam of Rin lmao) singing along. While it was cold dancing kept them warm enough especially Antifragile’s choreography.

After performing the two went back to the hotel where Rin and the group were staying as he got apple cider to cheer on and something to eat. “To a wonderful year” They both cheered sipping their apple cider. “Krys, we’ve been dating for 5 months and I can’t tell you how happy I am that you’re my girlfriend. You’ve made my life better and brighter” Anton held her hands.

“Ton, You may be weird and quiet but that’s what I like about you. Keep being yourself Chanyoung and never change” Rin smiled as the two went on the balcony. “5…4….3…2….1” The crowd started to countdown as Anton turned to Rin kissing her. “Happy New Years Chaerin” He pulled her close. “Let’s have a good 2024 Chanyoung” Rin kissed him again.

Rin would be halting activities for a few day since she got a cold, from her sister of all people. Anton felt bad and brought back some soup and some hot drinks for her throat.

Coming into the house, he went into the bedroom greeting her. “Jagiya you feeling okay?” He asked sitting on her bed. “A bit. My fever went down but my throat hurts” Rin sat up as Anton felt her forehead. “I’ll go make some chicken soup for you okay?” He kissed her forehead heading into the kitchen.

A few minutes later, Rin went into the kitchen hugging Anton from behind kissing his cheek. “You’re supposed to be sleeping” he turned to her. “I need my Anton” she pouted. “Chaerin you need to rest” Anton was serious. “I want to be with you” Rin hugged him tighter.

Anton kissed her. “I love you” he moved hair of her face. “I love you more” she cooed. “I’ll bring you dinner in bed okay? Go rest” he smiled as Rin pouted going back to bed. A few minutes past and Anton gave her dinner in bed sitting next to her. “When you get better we’ll have a date night okay?” He promised. “Thank you Chanyoung” Rin smiled back.

A Love Affair

Summary: with the growing friendship between ZB1’s Zhang Hao and Jian, Zhang Hao confesses while Nicholas fears the worst.

ZB1 and Siren (Zhang Hao, Ricky, Yuxin, Jian) we’re set to appear on The Will Ben Show Foreigner Special. Jian who was born in Korea but was raised in Taiwan and the states. The two groups had clashing schedules which made them become close friends. Yuxin befriended Ricky and Zhang Hao as Jian did as well.

It was a blossoming friendship an iconic one as fans said they were. Hao was feeling more than friends with Jian. She was super intelligent, studying business and economics at a prestigious university while being an actor and singer? What can’t she do? He didn’t know her circumstances were but he wanted to ask her out.

Yuxin and Jian showed them around the HYBE building in Japan. “This is huge” Ricky looked around looking at everything. “It has like 14 floors I think?” Yuxin turned to Jian. “How am I supposed to know” she chuckled showing them the practice rooms and the cafeteria. “I’m gonna show Ricky the boba shop nearby!” Yuxin grabbed his hand speed walking to the boba shop as Jian chuckled. An awkward silence followed as Zhang Hao cleared his throat.

“Jian we’ve been hanging out together these past few weeks” Hao started. “I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out with me” Nicholas was walking by as soon as Zhang Hao confessed. Before Nicholas could hear her answer he left in a hurry. How could he beat Hao? He was handsome, tall, and had a teacher license he couldn’t beat that.

Later that evening the tension could be felt in the air. “Nicho you’ve been quiet” she went over laying on the couch next to him. “I’m not in the mood” he replied as Jian kissed his cheek. “You can vent to me” She sat next to him. “You like him don’t you?” He asked standing up. “What?” She asked going up to him. “You like Hao-ge don’t you?” Nicholas turned to her. “Where’d you get that idea?” She asked.

“I saw you two in the lobby. He asked you out” Nicholas crossed his arms. “Jagiya. He’s my friend why would I-” Before Jian could finish Nicholas scoffed. “You’ve been hanging out with him a lot these past few weeks and when I try to make plans with you, you cancel on me but when Hao-ge is available you’re able to hang out with him” Nicholas started to shout.

Jian scoffed. “Do you really think I would cheat on you Nicholas? Is that how low you think of me?” Her eyes started to water. “I’m so done with you playing sick games with me Jian!” He yelled going to the bedroom. Jian went down to the pool area to cool down and let out her tears. Nicholas scrolled through videos and photos of them starting to cry himself.

He came out of the bedroom looking for Jian panicking before he saw her out by the pool rushing out of the apartment. She had taken off her promise ring playing with it. Before long Nicholas appeared behind her. “What do you want now?” She asked without turning around. “If you want the ring back I’ll give it back to you” Jian sighed. “I don’t need the ring back” he replied as he sat down next to her.

“I messed up and I’m sorry I was jealous. I was afraid you’d replace me” Nicholas admitted. “Nicho. When you left I told Hao that I see him as a friend and I’d rather stay friends. He respected that” Jian looked over at him. Nicholas nodded. “I’m sorry. I should’ve heard your point first instead of storming off I’m sorry” Nicholas looked at her hoping she would accept his apology.

Jian put on her ring and smiled “it’s okay Nicholas. I would get upset as well we should work on how we address fights. I don’t like fighting my relationship with Kiren (her ex) wasn’t the best and I don’t want to repeat it” she laid her head on his chest. “I agree with the first part. And I’m nothing like him okay? We’ll figure out to handle our fights” Nicholas pulled her closer.

Jian’s intrusive thought got to her. “Nicho I think my ring fell in the pool” she said panicking. “Okay okay it’s okay” Nicholas took off his shirt diving into the pool trying to look for it. Jian chuckled “I can’t find it” He tried to look for it some more until he realized. “You didn’t lose it did you?” He asked. “Nope. It was just an excuse to see you shirtless” she cooed. “C’mere” Nicholas motioned as Jian got closer.

As soon as Jian realized it was a trap Nicholas pulled her int other water. “That was for tricking me” Nicholas smirked. “Okay Yixi you wanna play?” She asked grabbing a water gun spraying him. “You got it in my eye” Nicholas worked hard on his acting. “I’m sorry baby” she went over to him as Nicholas splashed her. “You can’t prank me little one” he went underwater picking her up. “I’m a year older than you” Jian chuckled. “But I’m taller” He pecked her lips.

Jian chuckled as the two went inside cuddling up on the couch. As Jian fell asleep Nicholas played with her hair. “I was afraid of losing you” he admitted whispering. “We’ve been through so much together I can’t picture my life without you” Nicholas pecked her cheek. “You won’t lose me” Jian responded as Nicholas pulled her close. “That’s I promise I’ll keep” Nicholas fell asleep next to her.

Family Bond

Summary: Jian gets a solo stage and group performance at Kcon Japan and is able to meet Nicholas’ family.

Jian had the biggest honor of having a solo stage performing “Knock” a fan favorite and a favorite of hers. Her family has flown in from LAX to watch her perform and Nicholas’ family had flown in from Taiwan to watch &Team perform which ended up nicely for both parties.

Jian was doing soundcheck while &Team watched from the distance and Nicholas looking love sick. “I think he’s in love” Harua whispered to Yuma. “I think so too” Yuma whispered back. Jian’s family wanted to surprise her so they told Nicholas’ family and the group not to tell Jian about their surprise.

Getting off stage Nicholas and Jian greeted each other with kisses. “You did so well” Nicholas giggled. “Thank you jagiya” she cooed. “I’m excited for your performance” she kissed his cheek. “I’m more excited for yours” Nicholas booped her nose. Harua and Jo cleared their throat breaking up the lovely moment. “Nicho-Chan we have to go practice” Harua pretended to tap his watch. “I’m gonna be back” he kissed her cheek going up to the stage.

Siren watched &Team’s performance and of course loved it. Jian hadn’t seen her family for over 3 years due to the world shutting down and she was hella busy with a full packed schedule most often. Mostly traveling to Korea, Japan, and Thailand. Her parents were always supportive but knew they would cheer from the sidelines.

The performances started and every performance was amazing according to Jian and everyone else. With Jian performing &Team could see hope passionate she was about dancing and performing. Nicholas filmed the entire performance with a smile the entire time.

After Day 1 ended all of the members parents and family showed up. Jian greeted them but was sad she knew her parents were busy and especially her dad who traveled often. “Jian” Nicholas’ dad came up to her. “Why don’t you go to dinner with us?” He smiled. “Am I qualified?” She asked. “Of course you are” Nicholas kissed her as they headed to the restaurant Nicholas picked.

“We have 3 more people coming” his sister told the waiter as Jian sipped her green tea. Jian thought it was his aunts or uncles making small talk with his family. “Hello” a familiar voice greeted as Jian turned around. “Appa!” She ran up to hug him and her mother and her aunt. “What? How? Why? Where?” She asked. “Well somebody called us and told us about everything so we flew out” Her mother Yuji smiled giving her daughter a big hug.

Jian went over to hug Nicholas giving him a kiss. “You planned this huh?” She asked. “I did I did” he boasted proudly as Jian booped his nose. “I love you a lot Jae I know you missed your family so I called them out here and tada” he replied cutely. “I’ll always be here for you” Jian laid her head on his chest. “Ditto” he kissed her forehead pulling her close.

Although Rin was a side / supporting character she was still happy to be on set. Pond was her biggest supporter while she was in the K-pop industry she was kind and caring, and Pond really adores her acting skills. “We have a new cast member!” Director Jojo Tichakorn announced. Rin introduced herself “hi I’m Krystal Ahn, I go by Rin and I’m glad to be here” Rin introduced herself.

June already knew her from F4 Thailand when she played Won Jia, although they didn’t have many scenes together (she had the most scenes with Ren / Dew). Phuwin looked over at Rin who was laughing and giggling with June going to get her hair and makeup done. Pond who smirked went over to him.

Pond cleared his throat. “You like her huh?” He asked leaning against the wall. “Nah I’m not into dating kpop idols” Phuwin replied chuckling. “Okay mister” Pond chuckled going to find Perth and Chimon. After hair and makeup she got set up and the scenes were ready to shoot.

Rin had several scenes with Phuwin some cast members agreed that they had some chemistry. After finishing shooting for the day Rin went over to Phuwin. “You play Nuengdiao well” she sipped her water. “You play Hana well” Phuwin responded. “Thank you” Rin smiled. Dating hasn’t come across Phuwin or Rin’s minds at all, and Rin kinda did find Phuwin kinda cute and Phuwin kinda found Rin cute.

“Let’s go eat!!” Perth yelled as they finished shooting for the day. “You need to come” Pond put his arm around Rin’s shoulder. “Am I qualified?” She asked. “Of course you are. Come come!” Chimon and Perth yelled happily. Rin chuckled following them with Phuwin following, maybe something good would come out of this.

Phuwin had promised he and Rin would spend the day together but he needed to go to Chula to do a few things. “You can come with and we can head to the water park or I can come pick you up” Phuwin suggested. “I’ll go with you save the gas” she chuckled following him to his car. She would meet his college friends for the first time so she was a bit nervous.

Upon arriving she met his friends in his engineering faculty. “Do you go to a Thai university?” One of his friends asked. “I go to Konkuk University in Korea I study business administration” Rin responded. “We’ll be here for an hour or two I promise we just need to finalize some things then we’ll go” he kissed her forehead. “I have to catch up on some lectures so I’ll nearby the window” she smiled as the two gave each other a goodbye kiss before going to work.

Rin was immersed in her music and stalls k he finalizing something. She was on a short video call with Jiho and Tag double checking if she did the project right. She was so immersed on her marketing project it took her a few seconds to realize someone was talking to her. “Miss is anyone sitting here?” He asked. “No” she answered gesturing for him to sit.

“I’m Yong” he introduced. “Krystal” Rin answered back closing her laptop. “Do you go here?” He asked. Rin shook her head “I go to Konkuk University in Korea I just started my third year” Rin explained. “I’m in Business Administration” she smiled. “I’m in the business faculty” Yong’s eyes lit up. Yong and Rin ended up talking about the differences in both Thailand and Korea with business majors.

Phuwin and his group had finished finished as he glanced over at Rin his jealousy started to act up gathering his things quickly. “Would you like to go out sometime? I have never heard a beautiful girl like you have such a passion about business” Yong tried to get closer to her. Just as Yong said that Phuwin appeared behind her. “You ready?” He asked as Rin nodded grabbing her things holding his hand.

“It was nice to meet you Yong” Rin waved as the two left. “Phu are you jealous?” She asked stopping in front of him. “No why do you say that?” He asked. Rin chuckled “I saw you glare at P’Yong” She kissed his cheek. “He asked you out Chaeri” Phuwin held her hands. “And I never said yes I’m with the handsome guy” Rin kissed him. “And you’ll always be my Chaeri” Phuwin kissed back. Yong saw them with his heart breaking into a million pieces he would find a way into her heart.

A/N: im thinking of restarting Phurin. Do y’all want an enemy to lovers, friends to lovers, love triangle, or a different one I didn’t name. Please let me know and why. They still met on set of Never Let Me Go!

Her wicked manager ruined everything, her career, image, and everything in general. As Nicholas held her hand protecting her, &Team’s manager and Bang PD cleared their throats. “Can we have a chat please?” Both said in unison as they brought him to the meeting room. Nicholas turned around “did he do anything to you? Are you sure?” He asked frantically. “Nicho I’m fine” she hugged him.

Nicholas sighed pulling her closer. “He won’t bother you again I’m going to ask my manager if you can come to schedules with us. Since your group has no activity during our promotion it’s one of my many jobs as a boyfriend to protect you. You never know what he could do” His voice sounded scared but strict. “Nicho I’ll be fine” Jian insisted as Nicholas shook his head.

Jian sighed before nodding. &Team’s manager came out and looked at Jian “he won’t be an issue for you now. Bang PD is going to try and fix this everything will be okay” their manager smiled before leaving. “Manager-nim, Harua is trying to make bunny marshmallows without supervision!” Jo yelled as Jian chuckled. “I’m always here for you” &Team’s manager gave them a warm smile before running over to Jo’s whining.

The last few days were chaos, on social media, public, and just in general was hell. She got a black ocean when performing (expect Luné’s who put on their lightsticks for Jian) and her social life was gone. She was just isolated if that’s the correct term to use. While sitting in the waiting room hundreds upon hundreds of tweets and DMs started flooding in.

Harua and EJ watched as her expression changed walking down sitting next to her. “Are you are feeling Jae?” EJ asked. “Horrible” Jian answered as Harua pouted. “It’s going to get better I promise Jian-san you’re our noona” Harua replied handing her some of the bunny marshmallows he made with Maki. Jian smiled a bit before giving Euijoo and Harua a hug.

The hate comments kept dinging on her phone with responses like “why is Nicho even dating her? She’s talentless” “He could’ve chosen better. Her rapping fucking sucks” “Choose better Nicho she’s a nugu” all of those hurt Jian deeply she wanted to cry. All of this was hard on her while Nicholas was getting praise she was getting hated on and threatened.

Once the day was over, Nicholas spent some time at Jian’s penthouse trying to distract her while watching a movie. “Are you sure you want to watch this?” He asked. “Yes Yixi it’s a good movie! It’s spooky” she kissed his jaw. “I live for spooky that’s my middle name” Nicholas joked before Jian chuckled starting the movie.

While watching the movie Jian was falling asleep. “We can watch this tomorrow” Nicholas whispered kissing her cheek. “Can we?” She asked as Nicholas turned off the tv. “Nicho” she asked laying in bed. “Hm?” He asked laying next to her. “What if everything goes to shit? Will we be okay?” Jian asked as Nicholas pulled her close. “I promise we’ll be fine yeah?” He blushed falling asleep.

The next morning she felt a lot better and Luné’s were defending Jian and supporting her acting works. “Okay Ji we’re going out” Rin barged into the house. “You didn’t even knock” Jian chuckled. Nicholas smiled “I’ll be with &Team and they’re also going out so I may see you” he kissed her. “You have fun jagiya, don’t let Joojoo or Maki influence you that hot coffee is superior” Jian kissed back. “Okay okay” Nicholas chuckled releasing her to Rin.

Walking through the mall Jian asked Rin about the dating news “How did you handle the dating news? Did you get a lot of backlash?” She asked sitting down drinking her boba. Rin nodded “I got a lot of backlash at first since he is a BL actor and hated my guts. But a lot of fans were supportive and reported the hateful comments” Rin smiled holding her hand.

While talking &Team decided to crash the hangout. “Who influenced you?” Jian asked looking at Nicholas standing up. Nicholas chuckled nervously “Well Maki said I should come over, K-san said I shouldn’t and you’re my girlfriend so hi” Nicholas kissed her. “Thank you for the visit” she smiled kissing back. &Team’s 1st anniversary celebrations were just starting all the excitement in the air. Nicholas was hoping Jian would make it and kept checking his phone constantly. “You okay?” EJ asked sitting down next to him. “Nothing” Nicholas sighed putting his phone down. “It’s not nothing” EJ pouted. Nicholas sighed heavily “Jian hasn’t texted me and hasn’t updated any of her socials” Nicholas explained.

Harua and Yuma sat down besides him. “It’s okay Nicho-chan. I’m sure something good will happen!” Harua smiled cutely. “You two didn’t fight did you?” Yuma asked. “We had a small disagreement a few days ago and she’s been busy with filming something” Nicholas got up going to get ready for the concert. He was distracted while practicing and the members could tell something was wrong.

Jian had flown in from Kaohsiung City wanting to surprise Nicholas. She was able to buy a VIP seat in front of the stage. Nicholas looking at Luné not noticing Jian (she is short lmao) in the front row. She filmed the members and smiled seeing him happy made her happy. She was feeling bad about the argument they had a few days prior. The concert was coming to a close and was able to go backstage waiting for him.

Nicholas was the last one to get backstage as Jian smiled. “Hi Nicho” she smiled softly. “JAEYEONNIE!” He ran to her with tears running down his cheeks. “What? How? Where? Why?” Nicholas asked. “Magic” she pecked his lips. “Look I’m sorry about the disagreement I can’t stay mad at you” Nicholas’ tears kept falling. Jian wiped off his tears hugging him “Honeybun all couples fight. Well Rinnie and Phuwin are different but still I forgive you” she kissed him.

Finally, Nicholas had the smile Jian really adored since the beginning. “I love you” He whispered. “I love you more jagiya” Jian blushed. Harua cleared his throat “Nicho-hyung we’re going to dinner” he crossed his arms. “I’m coming!” Nicholas yelled over to Harua. “You go have fun baby” Jian playfully tugged at him. “But what about you?” He asked concerned. “She’s apart of the family now” K barged into the conversation. “Let’s go lovebirds” K smiled as Nicholas held her hand walking.

After practice Nicholas ran to Jian picking her up. “How did I do?” He asked cutely. “Better than yesterday” she giggled pecking his lips. Nicholas pouted before he started to chase her.

The two ended up chasing each other through the building when they ended up in a corner. Nicholas cleared his throat. Jian leaned in for a kiss which ended up in a makeout session in the corner of the building. The makeout session lasted at least 30 minutes before Jian’s manager found them kissing. “JIAN!” Her manager yelled breaking up the two.

“Why the hell are you here? We need to talk” he yelled pulling her to the office. Nicholas following behind biting his lip hearing Jian get scolded. His blood was boiling he was really angry and that wasn’t even a good word to describe it. “I am so fucking disappointed in you Lee Jaeyeon. What am I going to tell the company? This will ruin your image!” Her manager yelled.

Nicholas ran to get K and Fuma panicking. “We’ll handle it” K winked going to get their manager. “You’re going to take a hiatus and apologize to the company and to everyone! Your-” before her manager could finish Nicholas came in. “It was my fault and I’m sorry please don’t yell at Ji” Nicholas held Jian close.

“I’m so sick and tired of Jian’s fucking relationship drama it’s harder on me and makes my job harder” Her manager was about to approach Jian before Nicholas stepped in front of her. “Punish me” He sternly replied. “Nico” she mumbled quietly as Nicholas protected her. Now that she and Nicholas’ relationship was leaked what would happen now?

After a 3 year long journey Jian was finally going to graduate university. She had gotten into the business program in Dankook in 2020 and was finally graduating. Nicholas, her parents, &Team, her members, and friends would be attending.

Nicholas and the group got front two along with her friends and family. “I bet Nicho-san is excited” Yuma looked over at Nicholas who was looking over the graduation list smiling at Lee Jaeyeon (Jian’s real name). “He’s definitely in love” EJ chuckled. Nicholas chatted with her brother and sister in-law for a bit until the ceromony started.

Calling all of the graduates in alphabetical order (Ahn, Bae, Baek, Byun, etc) until it came down to the L’s. “Lee Jaeyeon” the announcer read out as &Team, her members, and her family cheered as she walked across the stage to revive her diploma. “LEE JAEYEON! LEE JAEYEON!” Jo, Harua, and K cheered as Jian chuckled going to where the other graduates were.

As the ceremony ended, she was talking with Bao and Yuxin along with Haewon, and Woorim her friends from her department. Nicholas snuck up behind her giving her a big hug. “Yixi” she smiled hugging back. “I’m so proud of you” he kissed her. “Thank you jagiya” she blushed sheeply. Jian ended up talking to her family for a bit. After saying goodbye to her family and friends she and the members decided to go get lunch before the party.

“Jaeyeon-ssi!” Her mother stopped her before she and Nicholas headed out. “Don’t stay out too late okay?” Her mother Yuji smiled softly. “Yes eomma” she smiled heading out the door with Nicholas. K, and Fuma would join while the other members prepared a surprise back at the dorm. Jian ended up drinking a few shots of Sake during the party. “She has a high tolerance” K whispered. “Let her be” Fuma chuckled.

After eating some food at the bar she ended up going outside to get some fresh air. Nicholas followed behind her. “It’s a beautiful night huh?” He asked pulling her close to him. “It is. Heading the crickets and the sound of the wind is very calming” she smiled. Nicholas pulled out his gifts handing it to her. Opening it she got a heart necklace and a promise ring they said “This heart ❤️ belongs to Wang Yixiang (Nicholas)” Jian smiled hugging him.

“Nicho it’s beautiful” Jian looked in awe as Nicholas helped her out the necklace on. Jian put the ring on her ring finger also giving him a ring that said “This heart ❤️ belongs to Lee Jaeyeon (Jian” as he smiled putting it on. Staring into each other eyes Nicholas leaned in for a kiss as Jian kissed back. Fuma and K looked from afar and couldn’t stop smiling. “Seeing Nicholas happy makes my heart flutter” K admitted. “He’s happy I’m happy” Fuma smiled watching the two happily.

Today was a big day, Jian and her two partners/friends Yuxin and Bao were going to present their project which would make or break their graduation requirements. They prepared really hard and pulled all-nighters just for this moment. Jian walked out of the bedroom greeting Mochi before preparing breakfast and coffee before heading to campus.

Nicholas knew today was a big day and wanted to surprise her with boba and himself of course. Yuxin, Bao, and Jian arrived on campus with Jian calming herself down taking deep breaths and clearing her mind. A text startled her smiling at the text “you’ll do great jagiya 💕” ugh Nico was so charming no wonder they fell for each other. They headed in putting on their PowerPoint and starting the presentation.

What felt like forever it finally ended and would be receiving their results that evening. “I think I stumbled on my words” Yuxin sighed walking out. “You always do” Bao chuckled spotting Jian’s boyfriend across the way. Jian was on her phone texting another friend as Bao tapped her. “Yeonnie look up” Bao put her phone away as Jian looked up running to Nicholas.

“Hi jagiya” Nicholas hugged her kissing her. “I’m so proud of you” he smiled. “See you soon!” Bao and Yuxin yelled going to head home. Nicholas handed her drink as the two headed back to Jian’s place. While cuddling and kissing the grade from the presentation was posted. “NICO ITS POSTED” she yelled as she took a deep breath before opening it.

Nicholas was there to comfort her just in case holding onto her. “I PASSED I PASSED!” She got up and hugged him tightly. “I knew you could it” he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “We’re celebrating tonight and it’s on me” Nicholas pulled her close. “Nic I love you” she pouted cutely. “I love you more” he pouted more.

Alice was one of Laurel’s best friends from High School besides Susannah, Alice had two kids of her own Jinny and Jun (Junyoung) with Jun being the eldest by 2 minutes. “Alice!!” Laurel came out giving Alice a hug. “Its been so long” Alice smiled. “Jun Jinny it’s been so long” Laurel gave them a hug as Jun and Jinny hugged back.

Jeremiah and Conrad came out greeting Jun and Jinny. “Junny has gotten taller” Jeremiah ruffled Jun’s hair. “Jin-jin is here” Belly hugged Jinny. “How was the car ride?” Belly asked taking her bags heading up to the rooms. “Long. Jun would not shut up about his nonexistent love life. The girl he was talking to moved to Indonesia” Jinny bit her lip sitting down.

Jun was downstairs talking with Jeremiah, Steven, and Conrad. “Your sister got hotter” Steven looked at Jun who scoffed. “She just had her heartbroken. Her boyfriend from Thailand broke her heart so she’s kinda in her emo era” Jun sipped his water. “Sooo she’s single?” Steven asked. “Dude shut up” Jun pushed him lightly. “Why do you have a crush?” Jeremiah teased Steven.

Jinny and Belly came downstairs laughing and talking with Laurel and Alice talking. “Jin. Have you decided on a college yet?” Laurel asked. “I have several. Appa (dad) wants me to do Yonsei or Seoul National University he wants me to stay in Korea with him” Jinny sat down at the island. “It’s your path Jin you pick what you wanna do” Laurel smiled. “How are you and Hanbin?” Laurel asked. Alice sighed “he has a new wife and has a daughter” she didn’t want to admit it but she was jealous.

Later that day, Alice and Laurel got ready for the Fourth of July party that Susannah was planning with the twins helping make the food and desserts. “Is Appa coming?” Jun asked getting the ingredients for the cupcakes Jinny was making. “He texted me ‘work has been crazy I’ll see’ so I have no idea” Jinny replied starting to make the recipe. “He’s never showed up to things anyways so I have low expectations” Jun got out the baking pan.

Finally the husbands had arrived with Jinny and Jun greeting their dad half heartedly. “Jinhee, Junyoung” he gave them a hug before greeting his ex-wife. “I bet $10 that his new wife doesn’t know our names” Jun whispered into Jinny’s ear as his new wife Eunbi entered. “You must be Hanbin’s twins what are your names?” She asked carrying their 2 year old daughter.

“Jinhee” Jinny nodded slowly. “Junyoung” Jun sighed. “This is Kyungmi” Eunbi introduced going over to Hanbin. “I think we’re replaced” Jinny mumbled under her breath. “For once in my life I agree” Jun agreed walking outside. Steven went over to Jinny who was staring at her father and “step-mother” actually getting along. “You came here to swim Jin-jin why don’t you come in?” He asked crossing his arms.

Jinny turned around. “Dispute my day being ruined I’ll take you up on that offer” she chuckled jumping in. “Jun come on!” Jeremiah yelled splashing water at him. “Fine fine” Jun jumped in. While Steven was “seeing” Shayla he couldn’t help but be impressed with Jinny’s glow up and she had a lot of confidence now. Peace didn’t last that long when Jun and Jinny heard a heated argument from their parents.

Both of them stopped them from getting physical. “Admit it Alice you’re jealous!” Their father yelled. “If you hadn’t abandoned our marriage this wouldn’t happen!” Alice yelled back. “Hey hey stop it! You both had a lot to drink and you’re both either tipsy or drunk let’s calm down!” Jun raised his voice at both of them. “Eomma it’s fine let’s go” Jinny tried to pull her away but refused. “Marrying you was a mistake Jiyoung. Look how the twins turned out!” Hanbin yelled.

“Hey! Yelling and fighting is not going to get us anywhere it’s only going to create more issues!” Jinny yelled as Susannah, Laurel, Steven, Conrad and Belly came in. Hanbin looked at his daughter in disappointment before leaving with Kyungmi and Eunbi. Jinny felt hurt before also leaving the house to cool down. “I’ll go talk to her” Laurel got up going to catch up with Alice.

“Should we go comfort her?” Jeremiah asked. “Leave her be for a while. I can’t fucking believe Appa would do that. He still wants her to attend college in Korea and pressure her to stay with him. All of this and him literally replacing us is taking a toll on her. Not to mention her ex being a damn coward” Jun may be older by two minutes but he was very protective over Jinny.

A few hours later, Steven went over to where Jinny was sitting down next to her. “You feeling better?” He asked. “A bit. I’m so used to this and I keep convincing myself it doesn’t bother me it does” Jinny sighed. “I’m sorry that happened” Steven rubbed her back. As their eyes met Jinny could feel a spark blushing a bit before Steven closed the gap and it started a heated makeout session. Maybe this summer wasn’t going to be bad after all.

Her mother Alice wanted her to do what her heart wanted. “Aww my little sister graduated” Jun clapped coming up to her. “Jun you’re 2 minutes older than me” Jinny crossed her arms. “I know but still” Jun hugged her.

Her parents came to the graduation Hanbin and Alice walked over. “I’m really excited to see where your heart takes you” Alice hugged her daughter tightly. Laurel, Belly, and Steven walked over to the family as well greeting them. “Congrats on getting a scholarship” Laurel gave Jinny a tight hug. “Thank you Laurel. I’m excited” Jinny smiled happily.

Soojin who was Jinny’s childhood friend ran up to her. “You’re going to Steven’s graduation party right?” She asked. “I wasn’t planning on why?” She asked confused. “You should go have fun in your life you’re going to be in college for fucks sake go” Soojin urged Jinny. “First you need to go shopping” Soojin went over to Alice and Hanbin and Jun.

“May I steal Jinhee for a few hours?” Soojin asked her parents. “Is it a shopping spree?” Alice asked chuckling. “W-where are you guys going?” Steven asked walking up to them. “Finding cute ass outfits for your party tonight” Soojin winked at Steven. Jinny gave Soojin a weird look before turning her attention to Steven. “If you want to come feel free” Jinny smiled.

Soojin and Jinny looked around the mall for cute outfits while laughing their butts off. “So do you like him?” Soojin whispered stopping near the clothing store. “Why do you care?” She asked walking into the store looking around. “Because I know how you are when you like guys” Soojin gave her a look reminding her of her “situationship” back in Korea. “Okay Hajoon and NING were just practice for the real thing” Jinny tried to come up with an excuse.

Sure Jinny and Steven hooked up last summer and slowly drifted apart but that didn’t stop him from trying to come back together. Soojin ended up talking with some old friends with Jinny rolling her eyes. “Next time let’s just go together” Steven whispered into her ear. Why was Steven acting normal but Soojin was acting more weird than usual deciding to leave her there.

Steven and Jinny decided to go get some food and wait for Soojin. “Are you really avoiding me?” He asked turning to her. “No no it’s just things have become awkward and I didn’t know what to do I’m sorry” she looked at Steven who gave her a peck on her lips. “We’re in this together” he smiled. Now it was time for the party, Jinny was wearing a half assed cute outfit and felt worse about her and Steven.

“Try not to get lost or hurt tonight?” Jun yelled from the kitchen. “Yes mom I know” she left with Soojin heading to the party. Walking into the party, Jinny looked around awkwardly just following Soojin around. “Go hang out with Steven stop hovering over me” Soojin was half drunk. “We came together Soojin I’m making sure you don’t do something shitty like last time” Jinny warned her. Soojin groaned starting to get annoyed.

“What’s with you and controlling my life Jinhee! You get so fucking upset whenever I do something fucking hell” she got upset. “What are you hiding from me Soojin! Tell me now” Jinny demanded. “I hooked up with Steven over the summer! Why do you give a fuck? You two weren’t officially dating” Soojin defended herself. Taylor and Belly saw the fight running over.

“And yes I do talk shit behind your back. You aren’t a great friend after all Jinhee you’re a stuck up bitch wanting attention from boys. You knew I liked Steven and you went behind my back and hooked up with him” Soojin yelled. “Hey! Stop it let’s go” Soojin’s friend left Jinny by herself. Jinny went over to Steven who was already annoyed with Belly. “You hooked up with my best friend didn’t you?” She asked walking up to him.

“That was an accident Jin. She insisted” Steven looked down at her. “We kissed Steven hell we even told each other our feelings and you go behind my back for this?” She asked with her eyes starting to water. “You hooked up with Ning over the summer and I had feelings for then but you didn’t acknowledge it” Steven yelled. “You were hooking up with Shayla and Soojin that makes it even more fucked up Steven” Jinny’s tears brimmed down her cheek.

Before Jinny could leave Steven grabbed her hand. “I thought we were something Steven I really thought we could be together. But something or someone is always testing our relationship I really love you Steven but this can’t keep happening” she left going to get an Uber.

No matter what happens something always kept Jinny and Steven apart whether it was an issue from last summer or a current issue with a secret nothing was keeping them together. Steven was determined to make things right even if it means to go to the extremes for Jinny.

-Flashback-

“Good morning students we have a new student today can you introduce yourself?” Mr. Jung asked. Jinhee nodded and bowed “hello I’m Yoon Jinhee I just moved here from Incheon” Jinhee was shy but Mr. Jung was understanding. “We’re glad you’re here Ms. Yoon you can go sit by Park Soo-jin” Mr. Jung pointed to Soojin who was sitting alone at the back.

Jinhee had known about Soojin’s family’s issues. Constantly being compared to her sister and being yelled at constantly. “Why can’t you be like your sister Park Soojin?” Her father yelled. “I don’t want to be a doctor dad I like dancing me and Jinhee do it in our free time” Soojin quietly said. “That’s bullshit you’ll never be good enough!” Her father yelled as Soojin saw him leave.

It has been a few years since Jinhee and Soojin had been friends and now Jinhee was going to move to the states (Pennsylvania) saying goodbye was the hardest she never let go of that sadness and anger towards Jinhee.

-End of Flashback-

“You see Conklin don’t judge a book by its cover” Soojin wiped away her tears. “Look I’m sorry that happened but because of you me and Jinny are no longer together and everything is keeping us apart and it hurts me” Steven’s voice started to crack. Soojin took a deep breath before nodding. “I think I know how to fix this” Soojin smiled softly pulling Steven with her for her idea.

Jinny and Steven had not talked for a while and with Belly being but for the debutante ball Jinhee was fighting her own battles looking at old pictures with her and Soojin. Jeremiah and Conrad were in on the entire plan with Soojin setting up the deck and everything. Susannah, Laurel, and Alice looked confused but trusted their children.

It was night and Jinny was moping around in her room as she got a text from Soojin “아래층 진희에 올 수 있습니까? 🥺” (can you come downstairs Jinny please? 🥺) Jinny sighed texting back “좋아요 10시에 다운됩니다 😑” (fine I’ll be down in 10) Jinny came downstairs to see all of the lights off and it was empty. Coming outside she saw Steven walking up to him. “What are you doing?” She asked walking up to him. “Surprising you” he smiled.

“Soojin told me about everything and is really sorry about everything” Steven held her close not wanting to let go. “Promise you’ll never leave me again?” She asked as Steven put her hair behind her ear. “That’s a promise I plan to keep” Steven started to kiss her. Jun and Soojin came out smiling. “Will you apologize soon?” Jun asked looking down at Soojin. “I plan to apologize during the ball” She nodded. Soojin smiled seeing Jinny happy again that’s all she wanted after all. But nobody saw what was coming next for all of them.

A/N: the next few fics will be taking place in season 2 and Soojin will become a series regular (like Cam and Skye and Taylor) I hope y’all enjoyed season 1 fics now onto season 2!) (cough cough Sean Kaufman and Irene (Park Soojin) kinda have a thing for each other irl)
