Finally cleared up the confusion with the management office. Amazing it only took 5 months to do so. I had to pay out of my own pocket for a pest inspection to clear my suite off the suspected list.
Construction has started. The proposal of 5 new buildings, 1 large high rise, 1 small 3 story building a few other posts will most likely uproot all of the green space available. Also the area might be a total wind tunnel after construction is complete. The wind was already at peak but an additional high rise in the jam packed area will most likely create another lane for an even greater turbulent wind passage.

August 10th, 2022: Day 15. Can you believe it? Another flyer for a pest inspection came in my mailbox this morning. I’m bewildered at the fact that the Management office does not have their files in order. This is the same request already denied. It’s a waste of paper, and a waste of Managements time, and my time. Now I have to plan on being home on Friday instead of going to the beach with friends like I had originally wanted. Why is my movement being gauged, why is my home being repeatedly inspected? Is there an agenda here?

Day 9: I dreaded hearing mail come in through the mailbox today in the event of another fumigation suggestion notice. This nuisance of constantly receiving Pest Inspectors at my door (There have been 4 visits logged) and the nuisance of receiving fumigation notices is starting to upset me. I would even say it is starting to upset my wellbeing. Case in point I dreaded hearing the mailbox today. It is one of my tenant rights to live at my residency in a harmonious atmosphere. Management should update their files and stop sending multiple photocopies for the same request that was previously denied. I have all my papers organized, why can’t the Management office organize their files too.

08.03.2022 Day 8: Pest Control Inspector knocked on my door just now to come and spray the apartment. He had no paperwork with him or a name tag, and did not write anything down about visiting my apartment or the fact that I do not need a fumigation. I will email management saying a pest control inspector had come to my apartment today at 3:47pm and that they should update their paperwork because I do not require a fumigation. Also, I expect more visits rather interruptions like this one because the paper I received on Sunday was a photocopy. 08.02.2022 Day 7: Did some more reading about tenant rights online.

08.01.2022 Day 6: I received a paper from Management on Sunday July 31st, 2022 saying there is a unit close to mine that might have bedbugs and if I wish to have my home fumigated that is an option. The date said July 29th but I received the letter on Sunday July 31st, 5:52pm. A pest control inspector will appear sometime within the next two weeks. Hopefully if the inspector is from Pest Control the inspector, he or she will knock this time and wait for me to open the door. Day 3,4,5 Long weekend, uneventful.

This blog has been created on July 27th, 2022 7:05pm to share my journey as I start learning about the process of the Landlord and Tenant Tribunal process in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I am a resident of a wonderful apartment building downtown but for some reason I am asked to leave. I’ve received multiple requests to fumigate my apartment, even though I do not have bugs. And earlier this week on July 25th, 2022 a pest exterminator entered my home without knocking. He was given a key by the management. I heard the door close and ran to it to see who it was. He was unprofessional and I recorded our conversation. I asked him not to do that again, he is required to knock and I may choose to allow him into my place of residence where I pay full rent in my artist studio and living apartment. I want to document my experiences on this blog and to state the facts to the best of my ability. I am an artist working and living in Downtown Toronto and my property management has asked me to leave. I like living here. I do not want to leave. Today I received an email today saying there has been a file made with the Landlord Tenant Tribunal. I’ll keep you posted as to what that means. My name has been added to another government system now that makes me look insubordinate, that is false. I like living here and want to continue living here.
