Say “Hi” first. If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that if you want to talk to someone, talk to them. go out on a limb. Do not wait for them to talk to you first because, odds are, they’re waiting for the same thing.
helpful hint to not regret missed opportunities (s-un-rise)

October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle. Madam Pomfrey, the nurse, was kept busy by a sudden spate of colds among the staff and students. Raindrops the size of bullets thundered on the castle windows for days on end; the lake rose, the flower beds turned into muddy streams, and Hagrid’s pumpkins swelled to the size of garden sheds.

Hey, i'm going to be going to Northeastern this coming fall and I had a few questions about housing! Do you think it's necessary to get a bed bug protector? And is it hard to make friends?
Hi congrats! I never had a bed bug protector and was fine so I’d say you don’t really need one. And no not really. You’re all freshmen, you’re all new, you’re all looking for friends so it’s not like you have to break into any already strongly formed friend groups. My best advice for meeting people though is go around your dorm and meet the people who live near you and also join a club or a sport. Any sort of activity that interests you is a great way to get to know more people in your year and also upperclassmen.
Good luck!! Feel free to send any other questions if you have them! :)
