The Doctor placed the headphones over his ears and scrunched his nose up at the sound. Quick as you like, he whipped out a pen and leather journal from inside his coat pocket and started scribbling furiously, large circles twisting through each other and forming some sort of irregular pattern that came so easily to him.

The Doctor shook his head. Apparently, the idea of borrowing a star didn't seem to have struck the right chord. He flipped some switches and the TARDIS roared and shuttered, lights flashing on and off as the ground pitched beneath them. In a moment, they were rocketing off planet and into the sky.
Only then did the Doctor notice the door was still open.
"Would you shut that?" He shouted over the roaring engines. "Awful draft in here!"

"Artificial light source? Like a flashlight?" Dean was yelling, trying to keep calm while gripping the sides of the room, as close to the door he could get. "What about a car’s headlights?" He had to think of some way to save his baby. What was in there could destroy everything. Vamps were smart. They’d find the picture of Sam when they were kids. And track him down. He wanted out of this life and there was no way in hell he’d be the reason vamps found him.

"Just the usual... static... boring... adult stuff." He waved his hand a little dismissively and took a sip from his cup. It's not like he minded sharing information with Elliot, it was more of a matter of explanation, and the Time Lord knew that if anyone gave him the green light to go, he wouldn't stop for any red.

((Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah sheesh I'm sorry, I'm not really here for long. Just doing the replies I can and then off again. If I owe, let me know. My activity page says I just have new follows, and I'm trying to decide if I want to keep up greeting threads. At the rate I get them, it's just... a lot of hassle... Can be fun, but... man, it takes ages, sometimes.))

It only took the Doctor a moment to grab Dean by the sleeve and yank him inside the TARDIS. Immediately, he flew to the consoles and started ringing things up on the monitor. "Gastronic field. It'll take a moment to break down. An artificial light source should do the trick. Well, a spare star would, too, but I don't think I like the idea of roasting a planet for one alien colony."

He spun around and crouched on the ground next to the ensign's foot, scanning the mysterious goo. The Doctor made an unpleasant "Eugh" sound and put his fingers to it, only to get his fingers a bit stuck as well. "Gastorian Adhering Gel." He explained, then looked up at her. "Might want to take your shoe off. This stuff can burn through metal if activated."

Chekov nodded, looking a bit skeptical in all of this.  She looked around and tried to find anything to help.  She stopped walking when she felt one of her shoes step in something gooey.  ”Doctor!” she called out.  She was about to step out of the pile when her foot stuck to it.  ”Uhm, Doctor, I think yew need to come here nov!” she told him and grabbed her leg, trying to pull it out.

The hair pricked up on the back of his neck, but he kept beaming away. One thing he would admit to being good at was pretending absolutely nothing was wrong when.... obviously there was. "Ah, well, I'm just... passing through, really. Hoping to find some Archiline sap, but I may have come to the wrong forest." The Doctor stared around skeptically and scratched his head.
She tilted her head a little with a frown, confused by the strange man. She’d of said it was alright, that he was okay to be here, if it had not been for the last comment. She wasn’t sure if she liked him. She couldn’t size him up for the life of her - he was untouchable by her senses. Though, taking in a deep breath, he did smell strangely, almost like some sort of dust. Sort of like metal, as well.. Hm..
Her eyes shift from him, to a figure behind him in the distance - it was a wolf. It simply stood there, almost as if it were waiting for her to signal that something was wrong. She didn’t, though.
Tugging on her cloak and tucking in her basket, she let her gaze fall back to him. “Are you looking for something? If you are..  I can help if you like. I know these woods better than anyone..”

"Your woods?" He looked around the trees in wonder. 'I'm sorry, I didn't know it was private property. Although, I probably still would be here, if I did." The Time Lord grinned and rocked on his feet.
Red looks up in surprise, who was he? Where did he come from? She takes a step back in caution, pulling her cloak over her arms. “W-who are you..?” Her gaze wanders to the side as a few wolves are heard howling in the distance, though continues to stand her ground. ”- Why are you in my woods..?”

"The fez was a bit of a stretch..." The Doctor remarked offhandedly, and then he too looked down. "Ah, well, least someone thinks so." He gave the other a pleasant grin and rocked on his feet.

"Well, eugh…" He wrinkled his nose and rocked his head side to side. On the few occasions he had met his future self, it had always been an odd adventure. "He’s just a bit… Thinks he’s very good when I think he could kill himself tripping over a brick."

He nearly shouted at her audacity. His TARDIS was perfect! Who was she to have such a high-horse? "It's mood lighting!" And who needed an elegant TARDIS anyway? Not since the high orders of Gallifrey had he given two hoots about elegance!

Come on, we can use the Tardis. I assume everybody knows what the Tardis is, unless you’ve really not been paying attention. And, allons-y!

"Hey, hey!" He tried to sooth her, talking quietly and lowering himself a little to look at her. "You alright? What's wrong?" His voice took on a bit of a fatherly tone and he rested his hands on her shoulders.
No, of course she wasn't alright. He could see that. Anyone could see that. But something was troubling her, something deeper than whatever had brought her here.
And then a sudden thought came to him, one that made his eyes darken in fear. Perhaps it was him? Perhaps himself, the Doctor, was the one who had disturbed her. The urge to run off was almost overpowering, but he couldn't just leave the girl crying by herself. "I'm sorry." He mumbled, before he could stop it.

Coralie felt silly, having nearly fallen over. Her music felt.. Strange. She didn’t like it. She didn’t like it at all. She swallowed, suddenly feeling a spike of anxiety surge through her veins. Why was she suddenly nervous? Was it the music? No, that would be ridiculous.
"I—- I’m sorry.." She straightened herself out, taking a step back from the man. She felt scared for some reason; though it could easily have been written off as simply her mind, what with her living in the looney bin and all..
She nodded, frowning a little. She knew there had to be something more to it than that, but she accepted the answer nonetheless. ”..What are you.. doing here, then..?” She glanced over at the hospital. It wasn’t exactly someplace just anyone would visit, not unless they had a loved one here. Not that she’d really know anything about that; she had no living relatives - no, not anymore. She was alone. Coralie gazed back at the man, eyes momentarily wandering to his, though quickly being averted. His eyes seemed so old; like they held so much pain, yet so much wonder as well. He was a sad man. She recognized it very well, having lived around other patients such as herself. She swallowed nervously, fiddling with her mittens as she’d looked back up to his eyes. She saw so many things in them, it was almost frightening. ”..Are you here to see someone..?” She frowned slightly, shaking her head. “..You’re so sad though..” She felt consumed by him as she looked into his eyes, so much so that when she snapped back into reality, she felt a tear run down her cheek. Confused, she wiped it away, frowning away from him. She didn’t want to look at him anymore - it hurt too much.

"It gives her personality!" He remarked, still feeling rather defensive. "And it's not too much a bother, it's just a bit of a stretch! Nothing wrong with her!"
