congrats on getting everything unpacked, that’s the worst part of moving. for me at least. you can never go wrong with food so that’s a great place to start. im not super familiar with it around here yet but ive heard great things about brodburger, if you’re not into burgers i bet they have awesome fries too

Wow. You are a better person than me. I would have said that if i’m not into burger then we can’t be friends. Maybe i’m just too judgemental, but a love of burgers is kinda a prerequisite to my friendships.

Of course! I would love to have an exploring buddy. I’m in no rush though if you want to finish unpacking and then we can go out on the town and find some food.

It feels like I have a lot of things,  you seem like you get things done though. mind unpacking all my stuff too while you are at it? I’m kidding, I would never actually ask you to do that. They say the pier is beautiful, so it ‘s probably is a good sign.  you should let me know if it’s hyped as it should be.

Honestly, all you have to do is bribe me with a good bottle of wine and i’ll come help you unpack without complaint. I’m pretty easy to incentivize. I’ll let you know how the pier is as soon as I check it out.

It’s pretty dumb anytime someone asks me for any sort of directions. Most the time i’m just lost and stumbling my way into some pretty dope adventures. Maybe I am partially saying it to make you feel better though, but is that such a crime? I’ll send you the location now. Yeah, i’ll be there. We should for sure hang out if you have any free time.

You can’t go wrong with street food, honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had were from food vendors. One of my favourite places near me is Serenitea, I’m not someone who’s crazy about tea but it’s such a cute place with a great vibe.

I actually am someone who is a little crazy about tea. I will drink it all day long if it is available to me, so if this place is as good as you say, it could be pretty dangerous for my pocketbook.

okay, this might be the dumbest question you ever get but, do you mean actual cactus or it’s a brand? do you know if they have vegan tacos? with my diet it’s a little hard to find good places to go eat to.

You’d be surprised just how dumb some of the questions i’ve gotten are. It’s actually cactus and as far as I know, that tends to be the vegan option at places that have it.

Not yet, but I will definitely have to check  it out. And I would love that if you have the time. I’m always hungry, so whenever you are free you can give me the tour.

as a newbie myself, i sadly cannot give any good recommendations. but congrats, you’re now hired as my new source for all the good food places around town once you’ve finished your little tour. i’ll pay you in la tour eiffel miniatures, so you won’t miss home too much.

Wow! You really know the way to a guy’s heart, don’t you? I think I am already missing home a bit but my parents haven’t stopped calling every hour to check in. You think they would be used to me being away by now.

Probably the best approach, and I can’t even handle that..I still haven’t unpacked… but the food is a great way to start. though I’m still new myself, a lot of people have told me like the pier, the beach and some amusement park. so that’s some places.

I didn’t really have too much stuff, so that’s the only reason I am done so quickly. Most of the time I would put it off as long as possible. I did have another person suggest the pier, so I’m taking that as a sign that it must be worth the trip.

Not even gonna lie, I’m in the same boat as you. I have no idea where anything is besides the cafe. I’m not even fully unpacked yet and I’m already exploring the town and I’ve found a few good shopping places. Might have to find a food truck and see what they have.

Which cafe is that? I feel like I walked by a few when I was exploring downtown earlier. There was one really great one with a nice little bookstore attached even. Food before unpacking? I like your priorities!

It’s very comforting to have a few friends around town already. I was a little nervous about being a newbie, but so far from what I’ve explored and who I’ve met, this town seems pretty great. There is honestly nothing I would enjoy more. Let’s go!

I still have a taco place that was recommended to me but I didn’t have time to try it yet. Supposedly they have cactus tacos, so i’m excited to give those a try.

I passed by a burger place downtown and the smell alone had me drooling uncontrollably. I have yet to have a bad food experience here so far, so here’s hoping this is food heaven and my stomach isn’t humbled any time soon.

Starting with a little street food is the best thing to do. I’ve heard of this taco place and while I haven’t tried it myself, it’s apparently quite good. The food is amazing around here, so you won’t struggle to find a nice place to eat. How did you manage to unpack so fast, though? Share your secrets.

It’s become a sort of tradition for me with all the traveling I do. Every new city I visit, I go out and explore the street food. I find it’s one of the best ways to truly learn the heart of the community. The only packing secret I have is to pack light. I really don’t have a whole lot of stuff, which makes unpacking a breeze.

Okay so i’m officially all unpacked and settled in. Now i’m ready to explore a bit. I think I’m going to start with a little street food tour around town. Any recommendations for the newbie? ( @mountmeadow )
