Can CBD help Dementia and Alzheimer’s?
Dementia affects 47.5 million worldwide today. Dementia is a general term for a decline in mental ability severe enough to interfere with daily life. It is caused by physical changes in the brain. Loss of memory and other mental abilities are affected in those who have dementia. Neurodegeneration is a feature common in various types of Dementia. The most common form of Dementia is Alzheimer’s Disease. Alzheimer’s Disease is a progressive disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest of tasks. In most people with Alzheimer’s, symptoms first appear in their mid-60’s. It is the most common cause of premature senility. 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer’s Disease today. This is very sad and heart-wrenching statistically speaking. Alzheimer’s Disease accounts for 60 to 80% of Dementia cases. When someone is diagnosed with this terrible disease the entire family is involved in this illness as many will become the caregivers for the afflicted individual. The cause of Dementia/Alzheimer’s is a total shrinking of the brain. The tissue of the brain progressively has fewer neurons because the neurons will stop functioning, lose connections with other neurons and eventually die. You see those neurons have a symbiotic relationship and cannot live without each other.

Typical medications commonly prescribed for Alzheimer’s/Dementia are acetylcholinesterase inhibitors such as Exelon, Reminyl, Cognex, Aricept ODT, and Namzaric. Those medications can alleviate symptoms but cannot delay the progression or erase the disease. They can have some severe side effects in some individuals as well. See for yourself on Namzaric’s website what possible side effects they have listed. http://tinyurl.com/y9oj6odg. Some people will deem that those side effects are worse than the disease itself. For that very reason, I chose to write this piece.
In this writer’s opinion and experience, most ailments can be treated in a more natural fashion without harmful side effects. Cannabidiol (CBD) is at the forefront of natural treatment options for me simply because of the Endocannabinoid System already in our bodies (which is the receptor system for CBD). CBD is a multifaceted treatment option and comes to us from a natural plant that has been around since before recorded Biblical times.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is neuroprotective, it reverses and prevents the development of cognitive deficits, it is also antipsychotic, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. CBD can protect the brain by reducing inflammation. CBD also promotes cell survival and can interrupt the pathological process in Dementia and Alzheimer’s. CBD has immunosuppressive effects. The Endocannabinoid System is closely linked with the process of adult neurogenesis (brain cell growth). As a matter of fact, the CB2 receptor (already in your brain) has shown to be a promising target for Alzheimer’s therapy. As you can read for yourself in the reports I found on the NCBI site. This could possibly be a solid treatment answer to the Dementia/Alzheimer’s epidemic we face in today’s world. Of course, more research into this very subject is warranted and much needed.

CBD for Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple Sclerosis commonly called MS is a very devastating disease that affects one’s central nervous system and gradually weakens bodily function by attacking the cells of the brain and spinal column. It is a progressive autoimmune disorder by medical definition which eats away at the myelin in one’s body (the coverings that protect the nerve cells). MS affects two times more women than men for reasons unknown. Those who suffer from MS have varying symptoms such as problems with eyesight, digestive issues, loss of control of bladder and bowels, pain, numbness/tingling and pin prickling sensations, depression, tremors, muscle spasms, trouble concentrating, occasional slurred speech, and trouble with sleep patterns. Not every person with MS will have the same symptoms. Some individuals suffer from permanent nerve damage and lose the ability to walk and some lose their eyesight.
The most common pharmaceuticals prescribed are; corticosteroids, anti-seizure meds, plasma exchanges, strong muscle relaxers, anti-depressants and strong opiate painkillers. These medications have little effect on the disease itself, they are prescribed for the relief of symptoms presented by the individual. I myself as someone with MS have had most of the symptoms and all but one of the pharmaceuticals above with little success until I started using Cannabidiol (CBD Rich Hemp Oils). I added B12, Magnesium, and Vitamin D to my CBD regiment as well. Then my journey took an amazing turn for the better. Goodbye to most of the pharmaceuticals for me. Yay!
CBD helps protect the brain, eases pain, stops stiffness/muscle spasms, stabilizes sleep patterns, reduces inflammation, stops depression, helps digestion, and helps protect your eyes. I know this because I am living proof.
I encourage you to do your own research. You can find some reports on the subject @ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23851307 and https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28412918. Always check with your physician before starting any type of new dietary supplement.

CBD:The Endocrine System & The Endocannabinoid System
My recent Blogs have spawned the question of “How does CBD Rich Hemp Oil work on the health conditions in our bodies?”. Well to honest with you I had to research a little to find out exactly how it works myself. I found out It relates to the CB receptors (Endocannabinoid System) being processed into the Endocrine System in our bodies. So, I would like to start off by explaining these systems and how they work.
The Endocrine System is a collection of glands and organs that produce and regulate hormones in the blood stream to control many functions in the body. This system overlaps with the nervous system and the exocrine system. How the endocrine system sends signals to the body is by using natural chemicals called hormones. These hormones travel through the blood stream and affect the activities of various cells in the body. These glands are;
hypothalamus; storage and hormone production
pituitary; lactation (mother’s milk) and growth
thyroid; metabolism, blood pressure, and tissue growth
parathyroid; calcium levels, bone, kidneys, and intestine (gut)
pineal body; sleep and wake patterns (snooze or play)
adrenal; go, go, go body and mind
reproductive; estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone (womanly and manly)
pancreas; creates digestive juices to break down food and produces glucose (sugars)
So, as you can see the Endocrine system communicates so many important functions in our body. It is kind of a big deal.
The Endocannabinoid System (ESC) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the brain and throughout the central peripheral nervous system, consisting of *neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors, known as CB Receptors. The word Endocannabinoid is a combination of the words endo (from the endocrine system) and cannabinoid (from the active chemical compounds found in cannabis and cannabinoids already found in the body). CB receptors sit on the surface of the cells and monitor the outside of the cell. They communicate the changing conditions to the inside of the cell through the hormones (body chemicals) and start the appropriate cellular response and that my friends is how the ESC communicates with the Endocrine System. *Nueromodulatory Lipids: Structural components of nuero-membranes, including fats, waxes, sterols, and vitamins in the body.
The important thing here is to remember our body can sometimes deplete itself of CBD that occurs naturally in the body, trying to keep up with the demand of our natural bodily healing process. So, we must be sure to replenish it accordingly.

Propylene Glycol commonly found in Electronic Vape Liquids
One of the main ingredients in electronic vape liquids is propylene glycol (PG). It is used as a flavor catalyst. It is commonly found in ice cream and other foods for that mouthwatering taste. This question has come up so many times “Is it safe?”. I would say to you that it must be safe for the FDA to approve it in use of some of the foods that we eat daily.
There was an article in Time Magazine (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,932876,00.html) that stated Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson did a group of studies on medicine: Air Germicide. These studies were conducted at the University of Chicago’s Billings Hospital on propylene glycol as air germicide to sterilize the air.
These studies suggested that PG was a powerful preventative against pneumonia, influenza, and other respiratory diseases. PG is odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, non-irritating, and highly bactericidal.
Dr. Robertson did a study with monkeys to evaluate the effects on the lungs from PG. Continuous months of exposure to the vapor of PG. After many months, the monkeys were happy, fat, and remained relatively healthy. No one expects to be in the continuous vapor as per the study but that should give us an idea that it should be safe in crowded areas such as theaters and restaurants where most respiratory diseases are picked up.
I myself as a person who loves to vape have had no adverse effects from vaping over the last four years. As a matter of a fact, my breathing has improved compared to when I smoked cigarettes. I also have not had to deal with the many respiratory issues prior to vaping. So, I would encourage you to do your own research if only to put your own fears at rest and not be biased towards those who vape. Rest assured we are constantly researching the products used in the vaping industry so we may offer to our clients only the very best the industry has to offer.

Real CBD Hemp Oil
We have all heard the recent hype about CBD Hemp Oils in the media and in online articles. I would like to share my knowledge of CBD Hemp Oils and how it has affected my life in a positive manner.
The Cannabis Sativa L plant has a male (The Hemp) and a female (The Marijuana). The best quality and purest form of CBD Hemp Oil comes from the Hemp plant by being extracted through a CO₂ process from the root. This being the very reason I choose to Use Holy Grail CBD Hemp Oils partnered with HAENEP Source. When choosing a CBD Hemp Oil ask the important questions like “How is it extracted?” and “From which plant and from which part of the plant?”
Understand that your body already has CBD receptors in it to process the CBD Hemp Oil in a manner which is most beneficial to your specific needs. We also know CBD Hemp Oil is a great anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. Most ailments in the human body are caused by some type of inflammation. CBD Hemp Oil has been used since before Biblical times for various reasons in healing of the body, mind, and soul. It is a natural herb. That being said; the body uses all of the components of the CBD Hemp Oil, so what is left is truly bodily waste and the body discards it naturally through urination, sweating, an deification.
One hype in the media and in internet articles is it relieves migraine and cluster headaches. I have found this to be true. I have experienced both and gained relief with the use of CBD Hemp Oil. It works great as a preventative measure to keep both at bay with regular usage.
Other conditions I have found that CBD Hemp Oil works well for are: MS, Lupus, Arthritis, High Blood Pressure, Glaucoma, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Various types of Cancers, Various types of Infections, Nausea, Low Energy, Psychological issues (PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, ADHD, BI-POPLAR), Nerve function, Insomnia, Bone Diseases and so much more.
Knowing the difference between CBD derived from Industrial Hemp and CBD derived from other strains of Cannabis can be the most beneficial to the consumer. CBD derived from Industrial Hemp has no THC in it. Industrial Hemp grows differently than THC-containing cannabis and looks similar to bamboo. THC-producing marijuana plants are planted six to eight foot apart. Industrial Hemp is grown three to six inches apart. Industrial Hemp has little potential to produce THC when pollinated. As long as the Industrial Hemp plants are pollinated by the members of their own crop you have more success of not getting THC in your crop. Thus Industrial Hemp is not a violation of the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
Now let us open up for discussion on Industrial Hemp CBD and how beneficial it can be for all of us.
