the more i think about it, actually, i think i rather like the Shadow Animatronics being manifestations of sin <3

Like the costumes, Shadow Bonnie would be associated with William’s sins, with him being boisterous; wants- really needs all eyes on him as a sort of callback to how Afton hid in plain sight all these years

Shadow Freddy would be associated with Henry, with him being more subdued, only stepping out when necessary as a parallel to how Emily was really helpless throughout the series and only had a plan when Pizzeria Simulator came out

but I like to think both aim to help. they want recognition that they’ve done wrong, maybe even try to help other entities find their way, but it’s insanely difficult because these two aren’t even human. they’re the furthest thing from! can anyone really find peace from that?

Been getting into the FNaF deep lore! While it’s heavily implied that the Shadow Animatronics are manifestations of the suffering William caused, I like to think they are rouge programs that work at behest of Cassidy / “The One You Should Not Have Killed”

maybe it doesn’t make sense, but neither does Glitchtrap’s whole deal, so take it with a grain of salt <3
