Today, it's been two years, when I entered the MTC. 🙆🏻▪️ Serving a mission was the single greatest experience of my life. It has forever changed me. I have never been so sure about any decision i have made in my life. Except for this one. I received my mission call exactly on my birthday! It was the most thrilling day of my life so far. Or should i say the best day ever.

While opening and tearing the corner of white envelope and read the name Sister Jayne Perez Manlangit, I started to get nervous and my hands were sweating and shaking! I didn’t care where I was called, but I do have a preference, which is Bacolod Mission. But I knew I would go where the Lord wanted me to. However, everyone had told me I was going to go to DAVAO! It really freaks me out. But I really didnt think that I would go there, and I hadn’t hoped to. Well I didn’t think so. Except when I was reading down further, I knew that there’s a possibility. Was I nervous? YES!! Who wouldnt be? But it’s not about the place. It’s all about me. I am leaving my home, the people I love, and my comfort zone to go somewhere I have never been. To teach people I have never met. And to live with another girl that the only thing we may have in common with is that we are serving a mission in ILOILO CITY! Yes! I am assigned to labor in the PHILIPPINES ILOILO MISSION! BUT GUESS WHAT??? God is really good. Because Iloilo City is near Bacolod Mission the place where i want to be and the place that i am praying for.

Another thing……The Acceptance Letter 📝 What could I possibly have to say to the brethren? What am I suppose to say, All i know is that I want to serve a mission. and I know that the Lord wants me to serve the people of iloilo City. However, how do I do that. So I did what any good LDS girl does when she doesn’t know what to do. PRAY. Yeah… I prayed. Well he answered. My prayer was answered. For months I have been getting answers to my prayers about serving on a mission, and it finally happened. Never have I felt more love and support than I do right now, because I have submitted everything I have to the Lord. And my will, will be His for 18 months. I know that I will grow, I will be come more patient, loving, and an all around better person because I am doing what the Lord asks us to do. I am Following Him . I am serving Him. I know this could be the best 18months of my life, but it will definitely be the best 18months for my life.

I am a MORMON. I know it. I live it. I love it. Nothing will ever change that for me. I know that when I am on my mission, I am going to make it the best 18 months of my life. I will grow, I will teach, I will love, and I will share my passion for what I know is true.

Only time will determine when and how you're going to move on. Sure, it might not be right away like you want it to be, but eventually one day you'll wake up and realize that somewhere along the way, that piercing feeling you've always felt inside your chest faded and went away while you were too busy living life to notice.

Sometimes I regret being nice, apologizing when I didn't do anything wrong, and for making unworthy people a priority in my life.
