A pretty big announcement

So uh

been a while

I haven’t really been that active on this blog lately. I don’t know how to explain why exactly. Mostly I’ve just been busy, and haven’t really felt like going on tumblr that much. I also haven’t been drawing as much as I want to, so I haven’t really had anything to post.

I still definitely want to come back. I want to post here again. But uh…

That might not happen until 2 years from now.

I’ve decided I want to serve a mission for my church. That means 24 months of helping, teaching, and serving other people. It also means 24 months of extremely limited access to the internet and social media. So I’m not really gonna be around. Honestly though, when it comes to social media as a whole, I think I could really use the break lol.

I will be back, eventually. At least I think so anyway, I’m not sure. 2 years is a long time. I don’t know if I’ll be as passionate about tumblr anymore at that point. Maybe I will come back, but on a different account. I really don’t know.

But I wanted to finally make this post to say thank you to all the cool people I’ve met on here. To my mutuals, even the ones I didn’t talk to, y’all are great people who make great stuff. To the mutuals I did talk to, you guys have been such good friends. And to the g/t community as a whole, thank you all for doing what you do. I was really scared when I first came on here, but you all showed me that liking giants is perfectly okay and normal. I’ve had a lot of fun here. I’ve felt welcomed, and I’ve been able to accept myself a lot more. Thank you.

My mission officially starts in just a few days, as of the time I’m writing this. I’ll be gone for a while, but I really do want to come back here, eventually. So until then, goodbye for now. Bigs, stay huge. Tinies, stay smol. Shifters, stay shifty.

We were playing Would You Rather in the car today when my dear brother hit us with this gem:

"Would you rather be a human-sized cockroach or a cockroach-sized human?"

Like... how is that even a debate? How could anyone hesitate? How could anyone not just pick the only correct answer, but also celebrate that it wasn't framed as, "this, or a million dollars?"

And yet, some people in the car actually chose the giant cockroach. Must be nice to be normal.
