it's actually so fucking tragic that no one in my real life knows i picked up murph's "we HAVE to move on. we simply HAVE to" intonation from him bc i think it's such a funny attitude and nobody gets that it's kind of a reference 😔

the thing about trinyvale is that mainline trinyvale campaign is actually one of the weaker seasons of Naddpod and kinda just okay, and yet they’ve put such flanderization crack into all the characters wherein they’ve stumbled into gold which is just putting them in increasingly weirder situations and it’s the funniest thing you’ve ever listened to every time
#i've had this exact thought#like they were all still finding their footing during the first trinyvale#and it kind of shows#but everything with the triplets after the main trinyvale arc#like caldwell found his DM stride#and the triplets are so mind-blowingly stupid stuck up and hilarious#i can't wait to see what they do

#the orphan kids in my room as a child would watch over me as i slept#we'd look at each other as i fell asleep and they stood in my doorway#and i loved when they were there because when they weren't#the tall man would pace up and down the hallway all night

Sweetgum
When Moonshines sensed her time had come, she returned to the creek in the dead of night, wanting to avoid making a fuss. The crickets sang her homecoming, and nannerflies lit her path, bumping her cheek affectionately as if bidding her farewell.
Her hand trailed over the rough bark of the Grandma tree; leaves fell from above only to be picked up by a light breeze that followed her to a willow tree by the waters. The hanging branches gently brushed against her head, like a mother caressing her daughter’s hair. Stepping into the warm stream, Moonshine ventured deeper into the creek, far beyond where any stump or gator would be.
Half-sunk in the swamp, a forgotten old airship rested. It was rotting and barely held together by the ivy that coated its exterior, yet it had managed to last this long. Wading through the muddy waters, she entered a familiar hole in the hull, climbed up the creaking stairs, until finally reaching the captain’s quarters. She pat an old chair in the corner with a bag at its foot before crawling into her spot in the centre of the bed. Time had worn away the planks above, allowing her to lie beneath the clear crick skies one last time. The song of the crickets chirping along to the running waters soon faded, the nannerflies fluttered away, even the soft vibrations of a old possum purring, nestled in her bosom became numb as Melora welcomed an old friend into her embrace.
The next morning, the crick discovered a new tree deep within the living woods. It wasn’t as tall as the Grandma tree that guided new cricks to their shores or as far-reaching as the Green Willow that sheltered everything from dragons to chippermunks. There was nothing really special about it besides the red leaves that were as vibrant as a famous druid’s hair and an old airship, mushrooms sprouting from the old planks, cradled high in its winding branches along with a few nesting crows. The flap of one’s wings disturbing a forgotten cubby, the door falling off and the contents fluttering down to the bed; finally delivered.

sometimes naddpod will go weeks or months without reupping the rent control gunshots reminding us that it’s a cum podcast. other times they’ll talk about cloacal kisses for 40 straight minutes after weeks of carnal corners and crow tuah

Sorry for spoilers for a one-shot from years ago from a super niche dnd podcast but Murph really went hmmm yeah I need to do a donkey kong one-shot why not write lore about donkey kong killing king k rool by strangling him with his bare hands and grappling with this decision after. and then have a fire bomb go off and incinerate half the room at a peace summit between the kongs and the zards. He did that.

Question: What is the greatest magic of all? Answer: Friendship, right? [B]: The greatest magic of all is not friendship, it's chronomancy, the ability to control and warp time. If friendship were the greatest magic, look, it's a pet peeve of mine (...)
