Deltarune one-shot, let’s go! I got very attached to Tenna very quickly, so this was inevitable lol.
Monster Movies
I didn’t know where else to go, so I went back to Castle Town. I wasn’t about to stick around for… whatever the hell was going on at Kris’ place.
The door to the school was unlocked, as always. That was one of the perks to there being no crime in Hometown. Nights, weekends, holidays, you could always get into the school with no problem.
I headed straight for the supply closet, though I didn’t open the door right away. Under any other circumstances I wouldn’t hesitate. The Dark World was the best thing that ever happened to me. Great friends, fun adventures every day, none of it even seemed possible.
Ralsei said he wanted this to be a place for Kris and I to escape to whenever we needed it. And it was, I didn’t doubt that. Even after learning the truth about Darkners, I refused to believe they were any less real than I was. I cared about them, and I knew they cared about me.
That was why it would hurt that much more if the prophecy came to be. It was no wonder Ralsei was so insistent on us not getting too attached. He wanted to lessen the pain.
No, it wasn’t gonna happen. There had to be another way.
Without stalling any further, I pulled the doors open and leapt into the Dark World. The town was quiet when I arrived. Everyone was probably asleep. Did Darkners need to sleep?
It was strange being there without Kris, and even stranger that Ralsei wasn’t there to greet me right away. He had to have been aware that I’d come back, but he was likely reluctant to approach me after the note that I left on.
I went into the castle and headed upstairs to my room. It was still merged with Kris’ room, and the tea table was still set up. Ralsei never finished his cake. The room was stuck in a simpler time, and it was one that we left behind only a few hours before.
I climbed into bed, gazing at the ceiling. There was no way I could fall asleep like this. I tried to silence my racing thoughts, but it was too quiet. There was nothing to drown them out.
At least, it seemed that way at first.
If I listened hard enough, I could hear faint music coming from the floor above me. It was Tenna’s theme music. He was used to running his show through odd hours of the night. Whether anyone was watching, I couldn’t tell.
We brought him to Castle Town because we knew he’d be safe there, but I could tell he didn’t want to stay. He’s a TV. He wants people to watch him.
Seeing as I couldn’t sleep anyway, I figured I’d give him an audience.
When I got to his room on the third floor, I found Tenna sitting by himself in the corner. The lights were off, the only glow shining faintly through his screen. He noticed me right away, the channel quickly changing to his default face.
“Susie? What brings you here so late?”
“Can’t sleep. Uh… why are you sitting alone in the dark?”
He sighed. “Everyone left. They all had other places to be. Even that stupid lamp with the small ass. I’m sure they’ll be back in the morning, though.”
“Man… sucks that they left you here. But you don’t have to stay in this room all the time if you don’t want to.”
“I know. I just like this room. It’s… nostalgic. Ah- But I meant to ask, why did you come back to the Dark World this late at night? If you can’t sleep, why not go home?”
I had a feeling he would ask that.
“Now’s… not a great time. I was gonna stay over at Kris’ house again, but their mom was being weird so I left.”
He frowned, tilting his head away from me.
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
We both got quiet for a minute. I sat down next to him. It was strange seeing him at a height that wasn’t much taller than me. I’d gotten used to him being huge. Based on what I’d seen from him, his size fluctuated based on his mood. He clearly wasn’t happy if he was this small.
“To answer your question, I came here to watch TV.”
He turned to face me again, looking confused.
“I thought you were sick of my shows.”
“Well, I didn’t like being forced to play games indefinitely, or the fact that you were holding Toriel hostage, but that doesn’t mean I hate TV now. In fact… it’s kinda helped me out in the past.”
“Hm? How so?”
I chuckled. “You know, you were there last night. Kris and I put on that giant monster movie and fell asleep on the couch. Those movies are sort of a comfort thing for me. I’ve seen ‘em a bunch of times, and I already know what’s gonna happen, but I still like watching them. Especially when I’m having trouble sleeping. It almost feels like… I dunno, I’m with a friend? I know, it’s stupid.”
He smiled. “Not at all, Susie! It’s great that you have something that helps you out. And now you’ve got a TV who actually IS your friend!”
My mind flashed back to the prophecy. How long? How long would it be until…?
Tenna noticed my mood start to sink, and without warning, he suddenly grew bigger than his default size.
“Huh?!”
“No need to panic! Just figured you’d wanna watch on a bigger screen!”
“Right, yeah. Wait, where am I supposed to sit? There’s no couch in here.”
At that, he placed his hand down flat in front of me.
“Climb on up here! I’ve gotcha!”
I climbed onto his open hand, and he slowly lifted me up to his screen. The light wasn’t too bright or overbearing, just warm. He patted me on the head as I sat down, leaning back against his fingers.
“There ya go. You get comfy, and I’ll get the show started, okay?”
I nodded, already feeling my eyelids become heavy as the opening credits started to play. Weirdly enough, this didn’t feel that much different from watching movies on the couch at home. If anything, it was better.
As scared as I was of the prophecy, those worried feelings faded into the background as the familiar score of the movie drowned them out. Sure, this wouldn’t make the problem go away, but I could deal with it in the morning. In that moment, all I needed was a good night’s sleep.
Just as I was drifting off, I noticed the audio of the movie cut out for a second. Then, quieter than I’d ever heard from him before, Tenna spoke.
“Sweet dreams, Susiezilla. I hope this helps.”

(lol I hope it was obvious she was daydreaming in the panels with the sparkly pastel-y clouds in the background).
Kayde is known for talking anyone's ear off if he's given the opportunity. His friendly demeanor and extroverted personality makes him quite popular with most people. Bryn however found this side of him to be incredibly annoying at first, but she slowly grew to enjoy his lengthy stories of his adventures as a knight of the royal court and beyond.
She would never admit it at first, but as time went on, her feelings for him grew, full on crushing on him. Although this deeply conflicted with her. Not only were fairies and humans great enemies during this time, but it was such a taboo concept to even entertain. Fairies and humans could never be romantic toward each other. How could that even work?
But little did Bryn know, Kayde was also starting to fall for her too.

Wrote another thing!
Shifter!SMG3 AU
War Of The Fat Italians 2023
Against all odds, we made it into the vault. My notebook was on a pedestal, with three huge drills hopelessly trying to break through the lock. Finally, I had it back. There were way too many close calls, but it was all about to be over.
I ran through the vault, ready to swipe the book and go, when a big robotic foot kicked me back. Mario and Marty had joined forces and were piloting a battle mech.
SMG4 and I ducked out of the way as the mech started shooting at us. I knew Mario was an idiot, but it was hard to believe he’d stoop so low. Besides, weapons are more my thing.
Ah yes… Weapons…
Armed with the gun stashed in my marketable plushie, I ran at the mech head-on with Four by my side. We managed to knock it back into the drills, forcing them to stop.
Four jumped up and landed a kick on Mario, but that only prompted him to throw Marty at us, who then exploded. We couldn’t go on like this. We needed the secret weapon. The one we’d been holding out on all this time. The one that Four’s viewers voted on.
I hoped to god they didn’t choose friendship.
Thankfully, they picked memes! The objectively right choice. We ARE Meme Guardians, after all!
Combining our power, we summoned the ultimate meme. One that was certain to defeat Mario. It was…
…a Club Penguin avatar.
Surprisingly, Mario panicked at the sight of it and began to rapidly shoot at it. The penguin walked forward, not taking a single hit. It stared him down with cold, merciless eyes, then stopped.
It started to dance for a second, and then it evaporated into mist. This was enough to break Mario down.
“Mario… used to love Club Penguin. He had so many friends. But then they left him. THEY LEFT HIM FOR PENGUINS WITH COOLER CLOTHES!!!”
Random sob story aside, I shoved dynamite up the mech’s ass and blew it up. From there, SMG4 and I grabbed the notebook and made a run for it.
The chase was on. Marty’s security system activated, and reinforcements chased us through the entire casino. I almost lost the notebook again, but I got it back and looked cool as hell while doing it. Took a spin on a roulette wheel and took out the security force, guns blazing.
Of course, Mario wasn’t about to make this easy for us. He set a trap for us down the hall with the slot machines, a tall metal gate shooting up from the floor and closing us in.
“Finally, I have you trapped! Your Club Penguin account is mine!”
I had to stop and process this for a minute. What was with the sudden emphasis on Club Penguin?
“What are you-? Wait… Is that why you wanted my notebook? To get my Club Penguin password?!”
“Yes.”
I tried to keep my cool, I really did. But the fact that he put me through all this just so he could get a stupid hat for his avatar boiled my blood.
“Oh yeah, and Marty wanted your secret pizza recipe.”
No. NO!
Stealing my password? Fine. Whatever. Stealing my pizza recipe that I took years and years to perfect the hot sauce to beans ratio on?!
I couldn’t hold back any longer. Mario had this coming. He put me through so much unneeded stress with the intention of passing off MY recipe to that cardboard asshole.
I shifted, quickly outgrowing the confinement of the fence, and I reached over and grabbed Mario. He screamed and struggled like he did the last few times I held him. Though, this time it was warranted.
Keep going. He deserves this.
Blinded by rage, I squeezed him tighter and tighter in my hands, ignoring his cries to be let go. For a moment, it was like everything around me was gone. Nothing else mattered anymore. He ruined everything, and I had to make him pay.
“Oi! SMG3! What are you doing?! Put him down!”
Four. I forgot he was there. I felt a chill run down my spine as I came back to my senses, and I slowly lowered Mario back onto the floor. Every breath I took was quick and heavy, and my heart raced. I couldn’t bring myself to look behind me.
He saw everything. He saw me become a monster. He was afraid. He had to be.
This was exactly what I was trying to avoid, but I went ahead and made it happen anyway. My worst nightmare was real.
“Three… Look at me for a second.”
I glanced down at him, trying to gauge his reaction. Strangely, he looked calm.
“Just take it easy. We’ll get through this.”
He briefly flashed a slight smile, then turned his attention to Mario.
“Give it up, Mario! You won’t be playing any Club Penguin in prison!”
For a moment, it almost seemed like Four got through to him. But he turned to look back at Marty, and his stubbornness returned.
“No! Marty promised!”
Four sighed, shaking his head. I was caught off guard when he suddenly grabbed my pinky. God… I already shifted. My secret was out. Why was I still so afraid?
“Alright. Let’s get ‘em, Three!”
I just blinked back at him, my mind at a blank.
“Uh… You gonna lift me over the fence and get us out of here?”
“R-Right! Yes!”
This wasn’t the first time I’d held him. But it was the first time I’d held JUST him. The past few times, Mario and Meggy were there. This was different. My hands wouldn’t stop shaking, and I silently prayed he wouldn’t comment on it.
I managed to get us both past the fence, and I immediately shifted back after that. At least I didn’t have to deal with how weird I felt around Four, but that also took away my advantage against Mario.
He snatched my notebook back and ran for the exit. We chased him outside just as he was seated in Marty’s getaway car. Little did he know, getting him outside the building was all part of the plan.
Four and I combined our accumulated Spy Rizz to summon a forklift and flip the car. The book fell out while the car was midair, and I caught it, striking a pose in front of the resulting explosion.
Mario and Marty were promptly arrested, and just like that, it was as if nothing ever happened.
Well, for everyone but me.
The walk back to the castle was quiet. I sure as hell wasn’t gonna be the first one to speak, but Four wasn’t saying anything either. I hated it. After a while, I couldn’t take it anymore.
“Oi! Would you just say something already?!”
He turned to me, looking confused.
“Okay… What did you wanna talk about?”
“Uh, hello? The whole reveal that I turn giant when I’m stressed and the notebook was the one thing keeping that from happening and I almost killed Mario?!”
Four paused for a second, then spoke up.
“Three, I knew about the shifting the whole time. I just didn’t say anything because I didn’t think you wanted to talk about it. But if you want to now, we can. And… we probably should. Let’s just get back to the castle first.”
We returned to the castle, and Four made us some coffees. Admittedly, it did feel better to talk about it. I still wasn’t being completely honest with him, but at least it didn’t feel like I was hiding anymore.
“I’m glad we’re talking about this. Even if the notebook works as an outlet, it’s good to have more than one. I’m sure there’s a way to get the shifting under control. And hey, maybe it could be, like, a superpower for you. If you ever want help figuring it out, just let me know, and I’ll head right over to the Internet Graveyard!”
For a while, I thought staying at a distance was the only way to control it. But maybe that was wrong. Maybe I needed to face this head-on.
Well, maybe not head-on. Baby steps.
“Nah, there’s no need to go all the way out there.”
“It’s really no trouble, Three.”
“No, I mean… What if I moved out of the Starbucks and opened up a coffee shop of my own in the Mushroom Kingdom?”
“That’s a great idea! And you’ll be closer to all our friends!”
“Uh, yeah, sure. Not that I care or anything!”
He smirked. “Okay, whatever you say. So, where do you wanna build it?”
I looked around at all the open space left over at the Showgrounds. There was plenty of room for a coffee shop.
“Let’s build it here! The coolest, most badass coffee shop to ever exist, with a proper evil lair just for me! And bombs! Lots of bombs!”
“Not sure about the bombs, but it’ll be nice to have a new place at the Showgrounds.”
“Aw, c’mon! Bombs are cool!”
“Fine… Just keep them out of the castle.”
We sat and talked outside until the sun set. It felt good to spend time with him again. I knew full well that our dynamic had changed, and it was hard to say where to go from there. But we were enemies once. The fact that I no longer resented him was already a major change. Whatever I was dealing with had to be an easier adjustment than that.

Wrote another thing! This one’s a little shorter but it’s cool!
Shifter!SMG3 AU
Trust No One
Mario stole my notebook.
Mario. Stole. My. Notebook.
Things were going great for me. I had the whole size shifting thing completely under control. I could even handle being near SMG4, just as long as I had my notebook to write in. But Mario stole it.
Credit where it’s due, he’s tougher than he looks. When I first interrogated him, he didn’t crack. Not even when I threatened his precious spaghetti. He managed to misdirect my suspicions onto Four. It was an all-out war. No one could be trusted.
But it was Mario. He snuck into Starbucks while I was in the bathroom and stole my notebook. My livestream got the whole thing on video.
At the very least, he didn’t have the key. He couldn’t see the “life-changing” secrets hidden inside that he wanted so bad. God, it disturbed me to think about what he might’ve been after. Did he want to tell everyone that I was still size shifting? Or worse, did he want to read… THAT entry?
No, he wouldn’t see anything if I could help it. I was going to get my notebook back, and then, I’d make that fat Italian pay.
After he escaped, I stared out the window for the longest time. Plotting. Seething with rage. I almost forgot SMG4 was still there in the Starbucks with me.
“Hey, Three? You wanna come back to the castle with me? It might help you clear your head.”
“What?! No, I’m fine!”
He gave me a deadpan look, then hoisted me over his shoulder and carried me back to the castle while I kicked and screamed. No idea why he asked if he wasn’t gonna give me a choice.
By the time we got there, it had started to rain. He hurried inside, plopping me down on the couch.
“Okay, what’s going on with you? I get that the notebook is important to you, but it’s locked. Mario can’t see what’s in there. We have plenty of time to get it back before he figures out how to open it.”
I sighed. “It’s… a lot more complicated than that.”
“What’s in that notebook that’s so important, anyway?”
“Nice try, Four.”
He sat down on the couch next to me, placing his hand on mine. Then, he looked me in the eyes. I felt sick.
“We’ll get it back. I’m sure of it.”
My heart started racing. Why was I so scared? I had to get out.
I abruptly stood up and ran out the front door, slamming it behind me. The rain poured down on my head, but I didn’t care. I couldn’t spend another minute with him. Not without my notebook.
I shifted again for the first time in months. I’d gotten so used to it not happening anymore, I almost forgot how strange it felt. It was a relief to see that no one else was out in the rain to see me like this, but I couldn’t help but feel like I was on display. Any moment, someone could walk by and see how pathetic I was.
Behind me, SMG4 knocked on the door from the inside.
“SMG3? Can I come out?”
I rolled my eyes. “It’s your castle, idiot. You don’t have to ask me.”
“No, I mean… Do you want me to come out?”
I didn’t answer him. I didn’t know what I wanted. Being near him made it worse, and I couldn’t stand the thought of him seeing me like this. But I also knew that wallowing in my own misery wouldn’t make my problem go away, either.
He cracked the door open, and I quickly pushed it shut.
“No!”
“Okay, okay, I won’t. I just… You seem really upset. Can we at least talk about it through the door?”
He really wasn’t letting this go.
“Fine… B-Baka.”
“So, how long have you had that notebook? I only noticed you writing in it recently. Did you just get it?”
“Nope. Had it for as long as I can remember.”
“Really? Huh. I had no idea. What kinda stuff do you write about? Ah- you don’t have to go into detail if you don’t want to. I mean… is it, like, journaling?”
“You could say that, yeah. Important, private stuff. The kind of things you don’t want getting out, ya know?”
He went quiet for a second, then spoke up.
“I get it. You really need it back. And I’ll help however I can. But… for what it’s worth, I’m sure whatever you wrote in there can’t be THAT bad.”
I didn’t want to bring it up, but I knew he wouldn’t understand the severity of the situation otherwise.
“I wrote about the igloo.”
“You WHAT?! Why would you do that?! What if someone sees it?!”
“Don’t blame me! It’s not my fault the notebook got stolen! No one was supposed to see it!”
I could hear Four muttering to himself and pacing on the other side of the door. After about a minute, he addressed me again.
“Okay, this is worse than I thought. We’ll need help. A solid, fool-proof plan. I’m gonna do some research and figure out where Mario went, then consult my fans and have them map out a route for us. I’m sure they’ll have some ideas on how to pull this heist off.”
Wow. He was seriously putting the fate of my dignity in the hands of his subscribers. Great.
“Hold it! At least let me have SOME input in this!”
“Okay, but you’ve gotta come back inside first.”
Not happening. Plus I couldn’t fit through the door anyway.
“Yeah, just uh… gimme a minute.”
He didn’t question any further, and I heard him walk away from the door and head up the stairs. Meanwhile, I focused on trying to calm down. This heist would inevitably be difficult and stressful, and I knew there was a good chance I’d end up shifting during it. But it had the be done. I couldn’t let Mario get away with it.
I sat out in the rain, trapped in my own thoughts. I was only brought out of it when I heard a familiar, mildly grating voice approaching.
“Lalalalala! Oh, hey SMG3! How’s it going? Say, you look kinda different today. Did you do something new with your hair?”
Something about Boopkins immediately made me shift back. Probably because it’s impossible to perceive him as a threat.
He looked at me, blinking a couple times as if trying to process what he saw.
“Wait a minute…”
I reached behind me, pulling the door open and running back inside the castle.
“Bye!”
