Y/n finds solace in her father's palace, reflecting on her journey and feelings for Kili. During their daring escape, her bravery saves Kili, deepening their bond. Concealing her true mission, she presents herself as Thranduil's daughter to Bard, forming a cautious alliance for safety.
TW- None x
Y/n retreated to her room, seeking respite and a moment of tranquility. The opulence surrounding her, courtesy of her father's palace, offered a brief reprieve from the turmoil of her emotions. As she bathed, washed her hair, and changed into a fresh dark green dress, she felt the weight of her journey and the thoughts of Kili and Thorin linger in her mind.
Settling onto the plush sofa by the window, she found solace in the moon's gentle glow, its silver light casting a serene ambiance. Her thoughts drifted to her mother's homeland, the quest for family truths, and the path that lay ahead. Despite the comfort of her surroundings, the complexity of her feelings and the challenges of her journey remained ever-present, casting a bittersweet shadow over her quiet moment of reflection.
Y/n's feelings for Kili Durin transcend mere friendship or companionship; she is undeniably in love with him. From the moment their paths crossed, there was an undeniable spark between them that neither could ignore. As they faced the trials and tribulations of their journey together, Y/n found herself increasingly drawn to Kili's warmth, courage, and unwavering kindness.
Every shared glance, every whispered conversation, and every moment of silent understanding deepened Y/n's affection for Kili. His presence became her anchor amidst the chaos, his smile a source of comfort, and his laughter a melody that warmed her heart.
In Kili, Y/n saw not only a brave and loyal companion but also the person with whom she wanted to share her hopes, dreams, and future. The connection they shared was profound, built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose.
As they continued on their quest, Y/n's love for Kili grew stronger, fueling her determination to protect him and stand by his side no matter the cost. For Y/n, Kili was not just a fellow traveler on a journey of discovery but the love of her life, and she cherished every moment they spent together, knowing that their bond was something truly special.
Meanwhile in the dungeons of the Woodlem realm, Biblo had found a way out. He appeared in front of
Bilbo, with a determined glint in his eyes, began the daunting task of freeing the Company from their cells within the dark confines of the Woodland realm. The metallic clang of keys echoed eerily as he worked swiftly, each lock yielding under his determined efforts.
"Quietly now," Bilbo whispered urgently, motioning for the Company to follow him. With bated breaths and silent footsteps, they made their way through the labyrinthine corridors, the cold stone walls echoing their soft footfalls.
Navigating the winding paths of the Elven fortress, Bilbo led them towards the basement where their daring escape awaited. The air grew colder and more oppressive as they descended deeper into the earth, the dim light casting long, ominous shadows that danced eerily on the walls.
Upon reaching the basement, the sight of the waiting barrels filled with the rushing waters of the rapids greeted them. The excitement and trepidation were palpable as they climbed into the barrels, their hearts pounding with a mix of anticipation and fear.
The initial exhilaration of the rapid descent was abruptly interrupted by the sudden ambush of orcs, their malicious intent evident in their frenzied attack. Arrows rained down upon the Company, piercing the water's surface with deadly accuracy.
Kili, despite his injuries, managed to rise from his barrel, determination burning in his eyes. However, his bravery was met with cruel fortune as a mithrilwood arrow found its mark, embedding itself deep within his flesh.
The Company found themselves hurtling down the roaring rapids with breathtaking speed, the turbulent waters swirling around them in a frothy torrent. The barrels bobbed and spun, tossed about by the powerful currents, sending sprays of icy water into the air.
Laughter and shouts of exhilaration filled the air as the dwarves braced themselves against the sides of the barrels, their faces flushed with adrenaline-fueled excitement. The rush of the water was invigorating, a thrilling respite from the dark confines of their captivity.
However, the joyous descent was abruptly shattered by the sudden onslaught of danger. From the dense foliage lining the riverbanks, a horde of orcs emerged, their grotesque faces twisted in malicious grins as they unleashed a volley of arrows towards the unsuspecting Company.
The air was filled with the whistling of arrows and the shouts of the orcs, their malicious intent evident in their frenzied attack. The Company's shouts of excitement turned to cries of alarm and determination as they scrambled to defend themselves against the unexpected assault.
Oars and paddles were hastily grabbed, used to fend off the incoming arrows and steer the barrels away from the orcish projectiles. The water churned with the chaos of battle, the clash of weapons and cries of alarm creating a cacophony of noise that echoed ominously along the riverbanks.
As the barrels approached the closing gates, Kili's keen eyes caught sight of a lever positioned on the wall nearby. A spark of hope ignited within him as he realized its potential to aid their escape.
With a determined glint in his eyes, Kili made the daring decision to climb out of his barrel, his focus solely on reaching the lever and ensuring the Company's safe passage through the gates.
As he neared the lever, an orc lunged at him, their weapons clashing in a fierce battle of strength and skill. Just as Kili reached out to grasp the lever, a sudden, searing pain shot through his leg, causing him to stumble and cry out in agony.
The orc's malicious grin widened as it withdrew its bow, the mithrilwood arrow still quivering from its deadly flight. Kili's vision blurred with pain as he collapsed to the ground, the excruciating sting of the arrow burning deep into his flesh.
The sound of his anguished screams echoed hauntingly through the air, a stark reminder of the perilous risks they faced in their desperate bid for freedom.
"Kili!" Fili's voice was a raw, pained whisper, his brother's name a plea for help amidst the chaos and confusion. His heart-wrenching scream echoed in response, his eyes wide with horror as he watched his brother fall, the sight of Kili's pain fueling his determination to protect and aid him in their harrowing escape from the clutches of their orcish pursuers.
Just as an orc raised its weapon, poised to deliver the final blow to the defenseless Kili, a swift arrow cut through the air, finding its mark with deadly precision. The orc stumbled, its menacing intent thwarted as it collapsed to the ground, defeated.
From the hill above, a figure emerged, darting down with grace and agility, dressed in Elven warrior attire that shimmered with ethereal beauty. It was Y/n, her eyes fierce and determined, her bow and quiver of arrows at the ready.
As she descended upon the scene, Y/n unleashed a relentless barrage of arrows, her aim true and unwavering. With swift and fluid movements, she also hurled daggers at their orcish foes, each throw finding its mark with deadly accuracy.
Kili watched in awe and admiration, despite the agonizing pain radiating through his legs. Y/n's bravery and prowess in battle were a sight to behold, her fierce determination and skill leaving him both amazed and deeply grateful for her timely intervention.
Y/n fought with a cool, composed demeanor, her every move calculated and precise as she single-handedly took on the orcs, her unwavering resolve a beacon of hope amidst the chaos and danger.
The orcs were taken aback by Y/n's formidable prowess, their ranks quickly thinning as she continued to decimate their numbers with her deadly accuracy and agile combat skills.
Kili's heart swelled with pride and admiration as he watched Y/n's fearless display of courage, her unwavering commitment to their safety a testament to her strength and determination in the face of overwhelming odds.
As Y/n settled beside Kili in the barrel, the rush of the rapids echoing around them, she spoke softly to him, her voice a soothing presence amidst the chaos. "Hold on, Kili. We'll get through this together."
Kili's gaze met hers, gratitude and admiration shining in his eyes despite the pain he was enduring. "Thank you, Y/n," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I knew you'd come for me."
Y/n smiled gently, her heart swelling with affection for the brave dwarf beside her. "Always, Kili. You're not alone in this."
From the hillside, Legolas's voice carried across the water once more, his concern evident as he shouted, "Y/n! Keep safe! I'll find you!"
Y/n's response was a reassuring shout back, her determination clear in her voice. "I will, Legolas! Watch over the others!"
As the barrels continued their tumultuous journey down the rapids, Y/n held Kili close, their shared warmth and resilience a beacon of hope amidst the swirling currents and looming dangers. Together, they faced the challenges ahead, their bond growing stronger with each passing moment, united in their quest for freedom and the safety of their companions.
As the barrels surged through the rapids, Y/n's sharp eyes and steady hands took aim at the remaining orcs that attempted to pursue them. With swift precision, she released arrow after arrow, each finding its mark and felling their adversaries, clearing their path downstream.
Amidst the chaos, Y/n's gaze landed on Legolas, her brother's form surrounded by a group of orcs, his movements growing sluggish against their relentless assault. Without hesitation, she drew her bow, releasing a perfectly aimed shot that felled an orc advancing upon Legolas, allowing him to break free from his attackers.
As the barrels finally escaped the tumultuous rapids, the rush of the water subsiding into calmer currents, Y/n's attention returned to Kili, his form slumped against her shoulder, the pain evident in his pale face.
Meeting his gaze, Y/n's heart swelled with affection and relief. Leaning in, she pressed a gentle kiss to the side of his head, her gesture a silent reassurance of her unwavering care and support.
Kili's lips twitched into a weak but genuine smile, his eyes reflecting gratitude and affection as he whispered, "Thank you, Y/n. For saving my life."
Y/n smiled back, her voice soft and filled with warmth, "Always, Kili. Always." Their shared moment of connection and mutual trust a poignant reminder of the deep bond they had forged amidst the trials and tribulations of their daring escape.
Y/n's hands worked swiftly and deftly as she tended to Kili's wound, her touch gentle despite the urgency of the situation. "Hold still, Kili," she murmured softly, her voice a calming presence amidst the chaos. "It'll help with the pain."
Kili winced slightly as Y/n secured the makeshift bandage, his gaze never leaving her face. "You're amazing, Y/n," he whispered, his voice filled with awe and gratitude. "Thank you for everything."
Y/n smiled tenderly at him, her eyes warm with affection and concern. "You don't have to thank me, Kili. I'm just glad I could help." She brushed a stray lock of hair from his forehead, her touch light and comforting.
Feeling her presence beside him, Kili's spirits lifted, despite his injuries. "Having you by my side makes all the difference, Y/n," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I feel stronger with you here."
Y/n's heart swelled with emotion, her bond with Kili deepening with each shared moment of vulnerability and strength. "And I feel the same, Kili," she replied softly, her words a heartfelt confession. "We'll face whatever comes our way, together."
As they shared a quiet moment of understanding and mutual trust, the world around them seemed to fade away, their connection deepening amidst the uncertainty and danger of their journey, their bond a beacon of hope and resilience against the trials that awaited them.
Bard's eyes met Y/n's, the initial surprise giving way to a guarded hospitality as he observed the Company. "You've come from the Woodland Realm," he stated, his tone cool but not hostile. "What business do you have here?"
Y/n lowered her bow slightly, maintaining her defensive stance but signaling her willingness to engage in dialogue. "We seek refuge and passage," she replied cautiously, her voice steady. "Our journey has been fraught with danger, and we have wounded among us."
Before Balin could speak further, Y/n interjected, her voice firm yet poised. "I am Y/n, daughter of Thranduil," she declared, her words ringing with authority. "We are traveling to the Iron Hills to visit my mother. These are my escorts, and our mission is of personal importance."
Bard's gaze shifted to Kili, his brow furrowing with concern at the sight of the injured dwarf. "It seems you've encountered more than just the river's rapids," he remarked, his voice softening slightly.
Y/n nodded, her eyes returning to Bard's, unwavering in their intensity. "We mean no harm," she assured him, her words sincere. "We only wish to find safety for our companions and continue on our way to the Iron Hills."
Bard considered her words, the weight of responsibility evident in his expression as he glanced once more at the Company. "Very well," he said finally, his tone conceding to the urgency of their situation. "Follow me. I'll take you to a place where you can tend to your wounded and find respite."
Y/n nodded gratefully, her arrow returning to its quiver as she gestured for the Company to follow Bard. "Thank you," she said, her voice filled with relief. "We appreciate your kindness."
As they moved forward together, the tension of their initial encounter began to ease, replaced by a cautious alliance born from the shared challenges of their respective journeys. Y/n's decision to conceal her true destination adds a layer of complexity to their newfound partnership, her reasons and the importance of her mission are shrouded in mystery as they navigate the uncertain paths ahead.

But Daddy, I Love Him!
In the Woodland Palace, Y/n clashes with her father, Thranduil, over her arranged marriage and her love for Kili. Despite the tension, Y/n reconciles with the Company and strengthens her bond with Kili through shared moments and a gifted talisman, solidifying their connection amidst challenges.
Tw- familial conflict, arranged marriage
The Woodland Palace stood as a marvel of elven craftsmanship, a testament to the elegance and beauty of the woodland realm. Tall spires adorned with intricate carvings reached skyward, their graceful arcs reflecting the dappled sunlight that filtered through the canopy of ancient trees overhead. Elaborate bridges spanned sparkling streams, leading to arched doorways framed by living vines and blossoming flowers. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flora, and the gentle murmur of waterfalls provided a soothing backdrop to the serene atmosphere.
Inside the palace, the grand hall was adorned with shimmering tapestries depicting scenes from elven lore, while delicate crystal chandeliers cast a soft glow over the polished marble floors. Elaborate mosaics adorned the walls, their intricate patterns capturing the ethereal beauty of the forest that surrounded them.
In this majestic setting, Y/n found herself in a heated argument with Thranduil, her father, as they stood before the imposing throne that overlooked the grand hall. His expression was stern, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and determination as he addressed his daughter.
"Y/n, you will stay," Thranduil demanded, his voice cold and authoritative. "You will follow the plan your mother and I had for you. You will marry Erland and secure our lineage with children."
Y/n's eyes widened in disbelief, her heart pounding with defiance and desperation. "I won't do it, Father!" she exclaimed, her voice quivering with emotion. "I don't love Erland. He is a pompous arsehole and i dont love him i love-” She looked behind her to were the path that the dwarves had followed led,
“Kili.” She declared looking up at Thorin.
Thranduil's expression darkened, his disgust evident as he looked upon his daughter. "You would throw away your duty, your birthright, for a dwarf?" he sneered, his voice dripping with contempt.
Y/n's anger flared, her eyes flashing with defiance as she met her father's gaze. "Kili is not just a dwarf, Father. He is brave, kind, and honorable. He loves me for who I am, not for some political alliance."
The air between them crackled with tension, the weight of their disagreement casting a shadow over the opulent surroundings. Thranduil's face was a mask of disappointment and disapproval, his hopes for Y/n's future crumbling before his eyes.
"Enough!" he thundered, his voice resonating through the hall. "You will obey me, Y/n. You will forget this foolish infatuation with the dwarf and do what is best for our people."
Y/n's frustration flared at his protective stance, her own determination rising to meet his. "Father, I am not a child anymore," she retorted, her voice echoing through the hall. "I have a right to be with the company, my friends. I've made my decision."
Thranduil's expression softened, his eyes pleading with her as he spoke. "I cannot bear the thought of losing you again, Y/n. Please, stay with me. Let us celebrate your return together."
Y/n looked to Thorin for support, hoping he would speak on her behalf. But he remained silent, his gaze unreadable as he watched the exchange unfold.
Frustrated and hurt by Thorin's silence, Y/n's resolve hardened. Without another word, she turned and stormed away, her footsteps echoing loudly on the marble floor as she made her way towards the palace exit.
Legolas, sensing the tension and the pain behind Y/n's anger, followed closely behind her, his own heart heavy with the weight of their complicated family dynamics. As they left the grand hall behind, the echoes of their argument lingered, a poignant reminder of the challenges and obstacles that lay ahead for them all.
In the grandeur of the Woodland Palace, the tension between Y/n and Thranduil reached a boiling point, their voices echoing through the ornate halls as they clashed over her future.
Y/n stood her ground, her resolve unwavering despite her father's anger. "I cannot and will not marry Erland," she declared, her voice firm with conviction. "I choose love, Father, and I choose Kili."
With those final words, Y/n turned away from her father, her heart heavy with the pain of their disagreement. Thranduil watched her go, his expression a mixture of anger, sorrow, and disbelief as he grappled with the reality of his daughter's choices.
The echoes of their heated argument lingered in the air, a stark reminder of the rift that had grown between them, casting a shadow over the future and leaving both father and daughter to face the consequences of their deeply held beliefs and desires
In the sanctuary of her room within the Woodland Palace, Y/n stood dressed in an elegant elven gown, its fabric shimmering like moonlight on water. The intricate embroidery of silver threads traced delicate patterns across the gown, reflecting the elegance and grace of her elven heritage. Her eyes were distant, filled with a mixture of sadness and contemplation as she stared out of the ornate window, the beauty of the woodland realm stretching out before her, yet failing to soothe the turmoil within her heart.
The weight of her argument with Thranduil, the uncertainty of her future, and the complexities of her relationships with both her father and the company weighed heavily on her mind. Lost in thought, she was unaware of Legolas' silent entrance into her room, his concern evident as he approached her cautiously.
"Y/n," Legolas' voice was gentle, his concern evident as he sought to comfort his sister. "I know this is difficult, but you must go to the company. Mend the relationships you believe are broken."
Y/n turned to face him, her eyes filled with a mixture of gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Legolas," she whispered, her voice filled with resolve as she prepared to face the challenges ahead.
With a nod of encouragement from Legolas, Y/n made her way to the prison cells, her footsteps echoing softly in the dimly lit corridors. As she approached, she heard the muffled voices of the company, their conversation serious and tense.
Stepping into the cell, Y/n's presence drew surprised glances from the company, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and relief at her unexpected arrival. With a playful smile, Y/n broke the tension, making a light-hearted joke that elicited a few chuckles and smiles from the weary group.
Realizing the gravity of her previous actions, Y/n took a moment to apologize to the company, her sincerity evident as she sought to make amends. "I'm truly sorry for the pain and confusion I've caused," she said, her voice soft yet firm. "I want to make things right."
She then approached Thorin, her eyes meeting his as she made a heartfelt promise. "I will get you out of here, Thorin," Y/n vowed, her determination unwavering as she looked upon the dwarf she had come to care for deeply.
Thorin's eyes softened, a hint of a smile playing on his lips as he regarded Y/n. "You look so much like your mother. As stubborn as well. Yet her beauty seem to pass on to you." he murmured, his voice filled with warmth and affection despite the circumstances. He looked to were Kili’s cell was. “I believe that he loves you to you know, the way he looks at you. It’s obvious. Go get him, tiger.”
Embracing the moment, Y/n then sought out Kili, her heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and hope as she approached him.
Kili leaned against the cold stone wall, his eyes locked on Y/n as she approached him with a confident stride. The dim light of the cell cast soft shadows on her face, highlighting the delicate features that made her even more captivating in his eyes.
"You know," Kili began, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth, "when I first saw you in that elven dress, I thought you might decide to stay and become one with the elves. You do look rather enchanting in it."
Y/n chuckled, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she met Kili's gaze. "Oh, is that so?" she teased, her voice dripping with feigned innocence. "Maybe I was considering it, but then I remembered how much I'd miss your charming company."
Kili's laughter echoed in the cell, his heart lightening at the playful banter. "Ah, so it's my irresistible charm that keeps you coming back for more," he quipped, his eyes dancing with amusement.
Y/n rolled her eyes playfully, her lips curving into a flirtatious smile. "Well, that and your dashing good looks," she replied, her voice soft and teasing as she moved closer to him.
Kili's breath caught in his throat as Y/n's proximity sent a pleasant shiver down his spine. "Is that so?" he whispered, the air between them charged with electricity. "I must say, your taste in company isn't too bad either."
Kili reached into his pocket, retrieving a small, intricately carved stone. Its surface shimmered with a subtle iridescence, reflecting the dim light of the cell in soft glimmers. The stone was a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, its delicate engravings telling a story of dwarven lore and tradition.
"I've been meaning to show you this," Kili said, his voice gentle as he held out the stone for Y/n to see. "It is a talisman, a powerful spell lies upon it. If any but a dwarf reads the runes on the stone, they will be forever cursed, or not. Depending on whether you believe that kind of thing. It's just a token - a rune-stone. My mother gave it to me so I'd remember my promise."
Y/n's eyes widened in admiration as she took the stone in her hands, tracing the intricate carvings with her fingertips. The stone felt cool and smooth against her skin, its weight comforting in her grasp.
"It's beautiful, Kili," Y/n whispered, her voice filled with awe and appreciation. "The craftsmanship is truly remarkable."
Kili smiled, his eyes warm as he watched Y/n admire the stone.
Y/n's heart swelled with emotion, her connection to Kili deepening as she held the stone in her hands. "Thank you for sharing this with me," she said, her voice filled with gratitude. "It means a lot to me."
As they shared this intimate moment, the stone serving as a tangible link to their shared history and shared dreams, Y/n and Kili felt their bond strengthen, anchoring them amidst the chaos and uncertainty that surrounded them.

Why is it always Spiders?!
Y/n's vision blurred as she navigated the decaying Mirkwood with the Company. Confusion reigned as they encountered giant spiders, leading to a chaotic battle. Y/n was captured but later rescued by Fili and Kili, strengthening their bond. Legolas arrived, his arrow aimed at Thorin, but recognition of Y/n halted the tension. Their emotional reunion was followed by tense questioning about Y/n's disappearance. As Legolas led the Company to the Woodland king's castle, Y/n felt guilt and sorrow, knowing the challenges ahead for them all.
TW- danger, violence, captivity, distress.
Y/n’s sight was going fuzzy in the corners of her eyes.
Mirkwood was once a breathtaking forest of enchanting beauty, nestled between rolling hills and majestic mountains. Its towering trees were ancient and wise, their trunks thick and gnarled, adorned with moss and ivy. The lush canopy overhead filtered sunlight into dappled patterns on the forest floor, where wildflowers carpeted the ground in vibrant colors. Ferns unfurled in shady glades, and mushrooms dotted the landscape like fairy houses. Crystal-clear streams sparkled in the sunlight, teeming with life, while birdsong filled the air, adding a symphony of sound to the tranquil ambiance of Mirkwood. But now a plague had taken over, causing all creatures to flee.
How could her father let it fall to such diareay.
Bilbo, infront of her, turned around a stared quizcally at her. He looked at his feet, then turned his head back around.
The Company walked into a clearing. It’s trees insnared by cobwebs. Dead leaves covered the floor. Oin stopped to pick up a tobacco pouch that lay dismally on the floor.
He handed it to Gloin, who looked at it confused.
“ There are Dwarves in this part.” He said wierly
“Dwarves from the blue mountains no less. This is exactly the same as mine.” Bofur muttered staring at the pouch.
Biblo stepped forwards,
“Thats because it is yours. You understand? We are going round in circles!” He exalminned, an expression of annoyance coering his face.
“We are not lost!” Thorin growled at him, “We keep heading East.” He glances to Y/n, who was leaning against a tree arms crossed.
SHe looked up to where the sun would be as the dwarfs al exclaim there furstatsion. Her gaise fell on Biblo who was tapping his head while looking at the sky
Suddenly, Oin was pushde towards her. Kili lept towards him and pushed him back. Causing all of the dwarves to get in a pushing and shoving match with one another. Fili walked backwards into Y/n, she shoved him back. SHe was tired, miserable, confused.
Air
She need air.
Suddenly Thorin’s yelling caught her attention
“Enough! Quiet all of you!”
The group fell silent.
Thorin’s handsome tanned face, stared at the group. He becken Y/n towards him.
“We’re being watched.” He muttered, his voice dangerously low.
“Oh for the love of-” Y/n exclaimed but Thorin quickly placed his hand over her mouth pulling her towards his chest.
Suddenly, a large spider dangled its way down from the treetops behind the group, its eight legs skittering softly against the forest floor. Y/n's eyes widened in terror as she tried to stifle a scream, her heart pounding in her chest. "Don't move a single muscle," she thought, her gaze locked onto the menacing creature behind them.
Thorin stood rigid and motionless behind Y/n, his eyes fixed on the approaching spider, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly. Kili, noticing Y/n's alarmed expression, turned to see what had caught her attention. His eyes widened in shock as he spotted the looming spider, and he nudged his brother Fili to alert him to the danger.
Fili's eyes darted to the spider, his hand reaching for his bow, while Kili nudged Balin, who looked up just in time to see the creature descending upon them. Soon, all the dwarves were staring in horror at the massive spider, its eyes gleaming with malevolence as it prepared to strike.
Oin's scream pierced the tense silence, echoing through the forest as he shouted at the top of his lungs, "Spiders! We're under attack!"
With a terrifying screech, the spider lunged at the group, its fangs bared and venom dripping from its jaws. The dwarves and Y/n sprang into action, drawing their weapons and forming a defensive circle as more spiders emerged from the shadows, surrounding them on all sides.
Swords clashed and arrows flew as the group fought valiantly against the relentless onslaught of spiders. Thorin swung his sword with skill and precision, striking down any spider that came too close, while Kili and Fili unleashed a volley of arrows, aiming for the creatures' vulnerable spots.
Balin and Dwalin fought back to back, their axes flashing in the dappled sunlight as they defended their comrades from the encroaching horde. Bofur and Bombur stood guard, their weapons at the ready, while Nori and Ori used their quick wits and agility to evade the spiders' attacks, striking back with calculated precision.
Despite their fierce resistance, the spiders were relentless, their sticky webs ensnaring members of the group one by one. Y/n slashed at the webs with her dagger, trying to free herself and her companions, but the sticky strands seemed to multiply, binding them tighter with each passing moment.
As the battle raged on, the forest echoed with the sounds of clashing steel and desperate cries for help, the outcome of the fight growing increasingly uncertain as the spiders' numbers seemed to swell, their relentless advance threatening to overwhelm the beleaguered group.
As the battle raged on, Y/n found herself entangled in the spiders' sticky webs, the silky strands wrapping tightly around her limbs, constricting her movements and pulling her off her feet. With each struggle, the webs seemed to tighten, binding her more securely as they lifted her off the ground.
Hanging suspended in the air, Y/n felt a wave of dizziness wash over her, her vision blurring as the blood rushed to her head. The world around her swayed ominously, the sounds of the battle fading into a distant murmur as she fought to remain conscious.
Despite her best efforts to free herself, the sticky webs clung stubbornly to her, their grip unyielding and unforgiving. Her breath came in short, shallow gasps as panic set in, the weight of her own body pulling against the webbing, making it increasingly difficult to breathe.
Her strength waning, Y/n's struggles grew weaker, her movements slowing as exhaustion and fear took their toll. The forest spun around her, the vibrant colours of Mirkwood blurring into a kaleidoscope of green and gold as darkness crept into the edges of her vision.
With one final, feeble attempt to break free, Y/n's fingers grasped at the sticky strands, her vision narrowing to a pinprick of light before fading completely. Overwhelmed by the pain, fear, and exhaustion, Y/n's world went black as she succumbed to unconsciousness, her limp form hanging suspended amidst the eerie silence of Mirkwood, a silent witness to the chaos that enveloped the forest.
*
Y/n's consciousness slowly returned, her senses coming back to her in a haze of confusion and pain. She felt herself being gently lowered to the ground, the worried faces of Fili and Kili hovering above her as they tried to rouse her from her unconscious state.
"Y/n, can you hear me?" Fili's voice was filled with concern, his hand brushing her cheek as he looked into her eyes, searching for signs of awareness.
Kili's hand grasped hers reassuringly, his eyes searching hers for signs of life. "Stay with us, Y/n," he urged softly, a mixture of relief and fear in his gaze as her eyes fluttered open.
Gathering her strength, Y/n struggled to her feet with Fili and Kili's help, her limbs feeling heavy and sore from her ordeal. She took a shaky breath, steadying herself as she prepared to rejoin the fight against the menacing spiders that still lurked nearby.
Drawing her dagger, Y/n joined Kili, Fili, Dwalin, and Thorin as they squared off against the spiders once more. Swords clashed, axes swung, and arrows flew as the group fought with renewed determination and resolve, their battle cries echoing through the forest.
In the heat of the battle, Y/n found herself back-to-back with Kili, their movements perfectly synchronized as they fought side by side. Their eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them as they coordinated their attacks, their blades flashing in unison as they defended each other and struck down their adversaries.
"Nice move back there," Kili remarked with a grin, ducking under a spider's lunge and slicing through its webbing with his sword.
Y/n smiled back, parrying an incoming attack with her dagger. "You weren't too bad yourself," she replied, her eyes sparkling with adrenaline-fueled excitement.
As they continued to fight, the banter between Y/n and Kili flowed effortlessly, a mixture of teasing remarks and words of encouragement as they faced the spiders together.
"Watch out behind you!" Y/n shouted, deflecting a spider's attack just in time to save Kili from being ensnared in its web.
"Thanks, that was a close one," Kili said, grinning appreciatively at Y/n as he dispatched the spider with a swift stroke of his sword.
With each passing moment, their bond grew stronger, their trust in each other deepening as they fought side by side, their shared laughter and camaraderie a beacon of hope amidst the chaos of battle.
Just as it seemed the tide of battle was turning in their favour, a loud crashing sound echoed through the forest, signalling the arrival of a new threat. The company retreated hastily, running into a clearing where they came to an abrupt stop, confronted by a massive spider blocking their path.
Before they could react, a familiar figure descended from the trees, sliding down the spider's silk strand with graceful ease. It was Legolas, Y/n's brother, his expression cold and menacing as he landed gracefully on the ground.
With a swift movement, Legolas drew his bow, an arrow aimed directly at Thorin. "Do not think I won’t kill you, Dwarf. It will be my pleasure" he hissed, his eyes filled with anger and contempt.
Just as tension reached a boiling point, Legolas' gaze shifted, his eyes widening in surprise as they landed on Y/n, who stood defiantly beside Kili and the others.
Recognition flickered in his eyes, a momentary pause in his threatening demeanour as he took in the sight of his sister, alive and standing strong amidst the chaos.
“Evening Brother,” Y/n said, walking through the group that parted for her.
*
As the warriors from Mirkwood searched the company, Y/n found herself face to face with Legolas, her brother whom she had believed lost to her forever. His eyes were wide with disbelief and confusion, his expression a mixture of relief and sorrow as he looked at her.
"Y/n? Is it really you?" Legolas' voice was barely above a whisper, his eyes scanning her face as if trying to reconcile the reality before him with the years of grief and guilt he had carried since her disappearance.
Y/n nodded, "It's me, Legolas," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion as she reached out to touch his face, confirming the reality of their reunion.
As their eyes met, a silent understanding passed between them, a shared moment of recognition and acceptance as they embraced, the weight of years of separation and loss lifting slightly in the warmth of their shared bond.
However, the joy of their reunion was short-lived as Legolas' authoritative demeanour quickly took centre stage. "Y/n, what happened to you? Why didn't you come home?" His tone was demanding, his eyes searching hers for answers.
Y/n's annoyance flared at his interrogative approach, her frustration bubbling to the surface as she met his gaze defiantly. "I was a child, Legolas," she snapped, her voice tinged with irritation. "I didn't know where to go or how to find my way back home. Why didn't our father send out a search party? Did he even care that I was missing?"
Legolas' expression faltered, his confident demeanour wavering as he struggled to find a response to Y/n's pointed questions. His silence spoke volumes, a tacit acknowledgement of the oversight that had led to years of unnecessary separation and suffering.
Across the clearing, Kili watched the reunion with a heavy heart, his eyes filled with sadness as he realized the implications of Y/n's connection to Legolas. The realization that they could never truly be together, their love thwarted by the divisions between their worlds, weighed heavily on him, casting a shadow over their budding relationship.
His gaze shifted to Thorin, whose expression was one of heartbreak and betrayal as he looked upon Y/n and Legolas. The revelation that the woman he loved, Y/n's mother, had married and had a child with King Thranduil, his sworn enemy, added another layer of complexity to the tangled web of relationships that bound them all together.
With all members of the Company chained together, Legolas walked them towards where the castle of the Woodland king lay. Y/n kept to the back of the group. She couldn’t bring herself to look at the Dwarves, the betrayal they must feel. Tears welled up in her eyes as she walked to her old home.

The Elven Forest
The company stops for breakfast at the Shifter's house where they're served milk. As they enter a familiar forest, Y/n senses its sickness. The forest affects the group's mood, making Thorin grumpy, the Dwarves slower, and Kili unusually attentive to Y/n, captivated by her beauty.
TW- Kili being clingy and a bit horny, environmental sickness.
A bee landed on Y/n's face.
She shot up with a squeak. Fili, who was walking past her at that moment, laughed and helped her to her feet. The company had made their way to a very large table where a human, reaching 6.5 feet, poured a massive jug of milk into the mugs.
Y/n sat between Bofur and Fili and began to eat the delicious breakfast. A mouse made its way to the girl, and as she drank the milk, she played with its tail, listening to Boren and his tales of why he hates Orcs. Kili was staring at the girl out of the corner of his eye. They hadn’t talked yet, but as soon as he could, he needed to make sure that it wasn’t awkward after yesterday's affection.
The company had agreed with Boren’s request, and as he promised, he came around the corner with 16 black and white ponies following. They were gorgeous, their coats reflecting the sunlight. Each one chose a person as their rider. A tall one cantered over to Y/n and placed his head on her shoulder as she attached a saddle to his back. Boren came over to help her with a cheerful smile on his face.
“This is Jean, he is probably one of the most stubborn horses I have. But he seems to have taken a liking to you, Y/n,” he said, attaching the reins to his face as Y/n attached her pack to the saddle.
“Well, thank you, Jean. I like you too,” she giggled as she stroked his mane. She lifted her leg up to get into the saddle and slid off the other side as Jean jumped, startled by a spider crawling up his nose.
The company laughed at the girl, whose cloak was over her face, and Kili came running up to her to help her. She pushed back the cloak and huffed at the horse, who snickered as she walked back round to get on him yet again.
“Give me your foot,” Kili said as he smiled at her. Y/n smiled, wondering when Kili would talk to her again after she kissed his cheek yesterday.
She stood up and put her hands on her saddle. Then she looked at Kili over her shoulder; he grabbed her foot and heaved her up with no trouble at all. She thanked him and watched longingly at him as he walked away.
The company were off, over hill and far away from Hobbiton. They galloped over hills, through mountains, and suddenly when they came over a hill, a dark deep forest came into view.
A sudden déjà vu came over Y/n as she gazed at the forest; in there was her childhood home, her birthplace, and her… father. Kili noticed that something was up.
She slid off the horse, not listening to anything the company were talking about, just gazing at the entrance. Her green eyes looked up the trees as she ran her hand on the bushes.
Kili came up behind her and placed his hand on her shoulder,
“Y/n, are you-“
“There is something off, the forest it’s…sick,” she said, looking at Kili with a heavy heart. She wondered if this was her fault, her father neglecting the favorite thing about the forest. Now she came to think about it, did her father know that she was alive, or did her brother tell him that she ran off…she couldn't decide which was worse.
After her warning being heard but not taken into consideration and then Gandalf leaving them, the company began to follow the path into the forest, hoping to find a way out soon. Y/n looked down at the path at all times; if she looked up, she would get confused. The path was covered in little yellow stones, easy to spot.
The Dwarves were getting slower, intoxicated by the sickness of the forest. Bofur found a tobacco pouch that belonged to him. Thorin was getting grumpier than usual. And Kili was being clingy.
Y/n stopped to catch her breath; she looked up at the sky. The sun was trying to escape the grasp of the leaves. There was a sudden movement in the trees, catching her eyes.
It was nothing, she told herself, don’t be scared, it’s fine.
Thorin stopped in a clearing to try and find the path again. All of the dwarves sat down on the ground, gaining their breath. Fili was trying to talk to Kili, but Kili wasn’t paying attention.
His dark eyes were cast over to the black-haired girl standing with her hands on her hips, looking up at the sky trying to find the sun. He had never seen anyone as beautiful as her. The way her h/c hair fell over her shoulders, the way her f/c tunic hugged her figure. Her gorgeous e/c eyes looked like starlight. His eyes looked her up and down, freezing on her hips and chest for longer than required.
Y/n had noticed the dark-eyed dwarf staring at her and asked him what was wrong, but gaining no reply as he was clearly lost in thought.
“KILI!” Fili shouted into his ears to shake him from his stupor; he glared back at his brother. He needed to get out of this forest. He needed to stop thinking like this.

That is our Host!
Bilbo warns the group about Orcs and a mysterious beast nearby. Gandalf leads them to a nearby house for safety. As they race to the house, Y/n and the dwarves narrowly escape a pursuing bear. Inside, Y/n discovers a wound on her hip, which Kili helps bandage. Later, feeling restless and wanting to help, Y/n plans to mislead the Orcs. Kili wakes up and questions her, sensing her inner turmoil.
TW- Violence, danger, injury.
Bilbo poked his head out from around the rock to watch where the pack of Orcs was. Y/n was with Kili and the company, pacing. Bilbo was alone, near a pack of wolves.
Thorin was carving into a twig, Kili was leaning against a tree, his eyes following the path of the dwelf – which is the name he came up with to describe Y/n’s heritage, she laughed about. The others were all laughing and smoking their pipes.
“Will you stop pacing, you'll make a line on the cliff at this rate,” Thorin said, looking up at Y/n.
She ignored him and crossed her arms over her chest; it was cold up here. A sudden snap behind her caused her to spin around with her two daggers in her hand.
Bilbo came running down the slit on the cliff face, his face scared. He wasn’t hurt, which is good. Thorin stood up and instantly pestered the little hobbit with questions.
“How far are the pack?”
Bilbo stopped and gulped to regain his breath.
“Too close, about 10 leagues.” Jesus, that is close, Y/n thought.
“But there is something else!” Bilbo finished with urgency, looking around the group.
“Were you spotted?” Gandalf butted in, not letting him finish.
“No, but—”
“Did they find your scent?” Thorin asked.
“No, but—!” Bilbo replied, getting annoyed.
Gandalf smiled at the company, telling them that he was right to pick a hobbit as they were quiet as a mouse. The company cheered and talked over each other while Bilbo was trying to tell them something important. Y/n could see the frustration building up in his face, so she decided to step in.
“Oi, shut it!” she stepped into the middle and shouted.
Everyone fell silent. She smiled, quite pleased with herself that that worked.
“There is something else out there, a beast of some kind,” Bilbo finally got the chance to say.
Everyone froze; another thing that could kill them, great.
“What form did it take? Was it like a bear?” Gandalf asked.
“Yes… How did you know that?” Bilbo questioned.
“Did you know about this the whole time?” Bofur fussed.
Yes, he had. This bear thing was going to kill them, and now they only found out about it. The dwarves went into a tizzy. Y/n went to sit on a rock; this was getting on her nerves.
“There is a house, we can stay in. Proper shelter and warmth for one night can’t do us any harm,” Gandalf said, glancing over at Y/n who looked up at the chance of a proper night's rest, not on a hard, muddy floor.
“Whose house?” Thorin and Y/n asked simultaneously, both annoyed at this slight delay. “Are they friend or foe?”
“He is neither; he will kill us or help us,” Gandalf told them. Y/n huffed as the company made her way down the hill that Gandalf was leading them.
Then they were legging it through woods, over rivers, hoping to outrun the orcs. Then the company were running through a field yet again towards a lonely house in a small little forest.
“Why are we always running away from something in a bloody field!” she shouted as her long legs ran as fast as she could muster. Bombur suddenly gained speed and sprinted down the path.
“Go on, Bombur!” she shouted as she ran towards the door. The dwarves all smashed into it, hoping it would open.
As Y/n came through the gates, she paused to catch her breath. She looked up and saw all of the dwarves pushing through the door; quickly she ran towards them to help and lift the hatch. They all filed into the room, before the massive bear pushed his head towards the door. His head was giant and strong. Y/n lifted her hand and smacked the beast on his nose, making him back off. She slid down the door, her hand on her chest.
“What is that?!” Gloin asked, glancing at Gandalf. Kili bent down to pull Y/n to her feet and threw his arm around his shoulder. She smiled at him and winced as he placed his hand on her hip; he didn’t notice the blood coating his hands.
She walked away and threw herself at a bale of hay.
Her eyes closed, and she slowly drifted into light sleep as the dwarves set up for the night.
Kili smiled at the sight of the sleeping girl as he went to help the group, throwing his pack next to hers. He looked at his hand and caught sight of blood.
Y/n’s hip! How could he have forgotten?
He quickly ran to her side and pulled her shirt up to get a better look at the wound. His eyes glanced at the little bits of cloth that covered the top half of her chest.
No, no, Kili, focus on her wound.
He unwrapped the clothes from the wound and pulled it off, hissing as he saw the amount of blood that had soaked onto the cloth. Thorin came walking towards the two to see what was going on. He saw the passed-out girl and quickly pulled some bandages out from his pack. He gave them to Kili and went to get water to clean her cut.
Y/n groaned in her sleep as Kili pulled off her shirt and pulled one of his from his bag; it was dark blue and massive on her. Thorin gave him the water, and he began to work on the wound.
Y/n woke up; it was dark and cold in the barn. She sat up and pulled her knees closer to her chest. Kili was asleep at her side, his hand on her hand. She tilted her head at the face of pure innocence, a cheeky smile adorning his face as he dreamt. She stood up and stretched her arms over her head. She looked down at the shirt that was officially not hers; it reached her knees.
“Hey, Y/n, what are you doing?” Kili asked as she walked towards the door. She stopped, slowly turning around to see the dwarf sitting back, leaning on his arms. She ran back to him and covered his mouth so he wouldn’t wake up the rest of the group.
“Please, please, Kili, be quiet!” she pleaded as his eyes went wide. She glanced over her shoulder at the figures of the company still snoring contentedly. She needed to get out; she needs some air; she needed to make the orcs follow a fake trail. She needed to help somehow. She had the feeling that she needed to do something, so Thorin wouldn’t think she was a burden.
“What’s wrong?” Kili asked as he pulled her hand away from his mouth slowly. His brown eyes scanning her face, hoping she was easier to read than Thorin.
She was not.
Y/n lowered herself into the hay next to him, puffing her cheeks to move a bit of hair out of her face. Kili leaned back as well on his side to look at her. Her eyes were closed, her hay weaved in and out of the hay. The barn was creaking in the wind and full of snoring dwarves, but it all faded as Kili stared at it.

The Great White Orc
After a goblin fight, Bilbo goes missing, causing Y/n to panic. Thorin cruelly suggests Bilbo abandoned them. Heartbroken, Y/n prepares to leave but is relieved when Bilbo returns. The group faces a warg attack, climbing trees for safety. Gandalf's flaming pinecones fend off the wargs. The White Orc, thought to be dead, reappears, and Thorin confronts him recklessly. Bilbo rescues Thorin, and eagles swoop in to save them from the wargs. The next morning, they spot the Lonely Mountain, reigniting hope. Y/n joyfully races towards it, with Kili and others following
TW- themes of abandonment, panic, danger, and perilous situations involving characters being chased and threatened by creatures.
After the fight with the Goblins, all the group ran out of the twisting paths. They soon found a clearing when then and only then, did Y/n notice that Bilbo was missing.
“Bilbo!” she shouted as loud as her tiny diaphragm could muster. Thorin looked up and saw how flustered she was at the possibility of missing her ‘father’.
Kili walked up to her, calmly putting his hands on her shoulders, and trying to calm her down. The whole company began to call for the Hobbit.
Nothing in reply.
Kili could feel the breath from Y/n quicken the more time they spent looking for her father. He looked down at her face; tears were falling down like a waterfall.
Gandalf began shouting, Y/n began shaking. Thorin had had enough.
“I'll tell you what happened to that hobbit!” He yelled, gaining everyone’s attention.
“He saw his chance and took it; he ran back to his hobbit hole. And left his daughter to be a burden for us.”
Y/n’s eyes shot up and looked straight at Thorin. What had he just said? She was a burden.
“Uncle!” Fili and Kili raised their voices against him.
Tears began to fall down Y/n’s face even quicker. Her father had left her, again. She had lost the only family who actually cared about her. Thorin said she was a burden; she knew it. She couldn’t make anyone happy.
Slowly she stood up, shaking. She pulled out her sword that she picked up from the goblin cave and turned around. Silently she walked away, cutting out the shouts of the company asking her to come back.
She didn’t want to; she wanted to go find Bilbo, Bilbo. Her father. The only one in Middle Earth who cared about her.
“He is long gone.” She stopped in her tracks.
Turning around, she saw Thorin gazing at her, the company looking at each other. Shaking her head, she began to pick up her pace when a soft, warm voice made a noise.
“No, he isn’t.”
Bilbo was there. He hadn’t abandoned her. Quickly she ran to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. The small hobbit chuckled and squeezed her tight, kissing her cheek as she smiled at him.
Then he turned to the company and began to speak, but Thorin cut him off.
“Why did you come back?” Y/n glared at him, not caring why Bilbo had returned, but still, he answered,
“Look, I know you doubt me, and I know you always have, and you're right, I often think of Bag End. I miss my books and my armchair, my garden. See, that's where I belong. That's home. That's why I came back; you don't have one. A home, it was taken from you, but I will help you take it back if I can.”
Bilbo smiled at the group, and then at Y/n. She giggled and looked at Kili who smiled at her too.
The heart-warming moment ended with a long, heart-stopping howl.
Y/n recognized that howl, a warg.
She ran, as fast as her tired legs could carry her. She found three large oak trees stood at the edge of a cliff.
It's death or be eaten by wargs.
The dwarves caught up with her and began to climb the trees, a little bit slowly. After she had made sure that most of the dwarves were up in a tree, she spun around to see if the orcs were close. They were about 10 meters from the tree.
Quickly she jumped up and grabbed the tree branch and with all her remaining strength she swung around and collided with something hard with an oof. Kili quickly grabbed onto her waist and pushed her so her back was against the tree trunk, his arms either side of her head.
“You really do like living things to the last minute, don’t you?” he looked down at her as she caught her breath. She looked up and gazed into his brown eyes. They reminded her of chocolate, or old books, or autumn leaves.
With a howl, the wargs were at the base of the tree, the two broke out of the moment and climbed up the tree to get out of reach. The dwarves, who were further up the tree, grabbed onto their arms and pulled them to perch on the branches.
They sat there for about 5 minutes hoping that the wargs wouldn’t suddenly learn how to climb trees.
Gandalf suddenly passed flaming pinecones to the group to throw at the wargs. Great idea, wargs hate fire!
Y/n aimed at the warg scraping at the tree below her and threw with all her might. It hit, lighting the animal on fire like it was made out of wood.
She whooped with joy, but then quickly remembered she was hanging onto a branch and clung back on.
They had been throwing pinecones at the wargs until they had all run away and stupidly set fire to the other. Then one somehow managed to knock over the tree next to Y/n’s. The dwarves were hanging onto it for dear life.
Thorin, who was in the branch above Y/n’s head cursed as he looked through the branches behind the wargs. Y/n followed his gaze and saw the white orc! He was supposed to be dead. He died of his wounds, according to legend.
Thorin, who was definitely out of his mind, slowly began to climb down the tree and began to swish his sword around in a ‘menacing’ manner. He walked towards the white orc.
He was going to get murdered.
The company were screaming and shouting to tell him to get back, to leave him.
Y/n’s eyes filled with worry as she watched him clash swords and dodge the orc's attacks. Then out of the blue, Bilbo ran towards him swinging the sword he had gotten from the troll's cave.
“Bilbo, no!” she screamed at the top of her lungs, trying so hard not to cry.
Then suddenly an arm wrapped round her waist, and she was lifted from the tree. She looked up and saw Kili sitting onto of an eagle, and he hauled her to sit in front of him. She was safe; that's all he needed to know.
She spun around just in time to see Thorin get knocked out by the warg and Bilbo come to the rescue before the eagles turned a corner. She had no clue what had happened to them; she looked at Kili, who smiled at her, putting a bit of stray hair behind her ears and wiped a speck of dirt off her cheek.
Y/n wrapped her arms around the dwarven man who she was head over heels for, and as she placed her head on his shoulder, she closed her eyes and let her tiredness take over her body.
The sun made its way over a mountain as Y/n opened her eyes, to see Bilbo shaking her foot gently.
She sprang up and pulled the man in a tight hug, squeezing him like she was a small toddler on his doorstep again. Thorin sat on a rock and glanced over at the two, smiling at the Princess.
Kili and the others were near the edge of a cliff looking at something on the horizon. She stood up and walked over to see. Bofur turned around and threw his arm around her.
Over the hill and far away was a mountain that stood all alone, nothing but trees surrounded it. The Lonely Mountain was dipped in snow which bounced the morning light towards the group.
“Is that…?” she asked, rubbing her eyes.
“The Lonely Mountain,” Fili said with a smile.
“Home,” Kili said, looking down at the girl to his left. She didn’t notice, too busy looking at the peaceful mountain.
Y/n smiled with glee; quickly she belted down the cliff like a rabbit, shouting, “last one to the bottom is a mountain troll!”
The company laughed as Kili, Fili, and Ori ran after the girl, yelling in protest

Down Down in Goblin Town
During their journey, the company faces a thunderstorm, and Y/n slips off a ledge, causing tension. They are captured by goblins and taken to Goblin Town. Y/n's sassy remarks draw the Goblin King's attention. Gandalf helps them escape, and a humorous twist ensues when the Goblin King falls, leaving Y/n laughing and catching Kili's attention.
Tw- being tied up, violence, mentions of thunder.
At Midnight, the company left the comfort of Rivendale and headed up the mountain path. There weren’t even 20 minutes into the journey, when the loud clash of thunder echoed through the valley. Y/n jumped and turned to Bilbo who was behind her. Bilbo could see the fear in her eyes. She hates thunderstorms.
“You will be fine!” he shouted so she could hear him over the constant smashing. Y/n nodded and kept walking in front of her. The rain fell harder, feeling like bullets hitting the pale girl’s skin. She was freezing and her hood kept falling down from her head thanks to the wind howling like wolves.
“We need to rest!” Dwalin shouted. Thorin heard and turned around. The company were all cold and getting grumpy. He opened his mouth when Kili shouted to move.
He pushed Bilbo so that he wouldn’t get crushed by a falling boulder, but that meant he would hit Y/n who lost her footing and fell off the small ledge they were walking on.
“Bilbo!” She screamed as she grabbed onto the ledge.
Bilbo froze; he hadn’t heard her scream like that since she was very little and she couldn’t find him. When she had been petrified. She was crying, tears running down her face. He threw himself at the ground and grabbed onto her hand.
He pulled with all of his might, but she didn’t budge.
He was pushed out of the way. Y/n screamed as she let go, quickly grabbing back onto the ledge. Thorin and Kili grabbed an arm each and heaved her up. When her waist was over the ledge she swung a leg over the ledge and fell into Kili’s chest.
Kili wrapped his arms around her shaking body and kissed her forehead. He ran his hand through her hair and tried to calm her down. Tears were still falling down her face. Thorin stood up and stormed towards Bilbo.
“How useless can you be, Hobbit?” Thorin shouted. He was livid; he nearly lost the closest thing he had to the only woman he had ever loved. The person in charge of her couldn’t save her.
“You’re her ‘dad,’ right? Right!” he continued.
“I—“ Bilbo stuttered.
“She is the closest thing I have to her mother! And I’m not going to lose her just because you are incompetent!” Thorin finished.
“Thorin!” He spun around to see Y/n standing up, her fists balled and her face was red from crying and anger.
“Don’t call him incompetent. He was scared and isn’t as strong as you. So grow up!” Y/n defended Bilbo; she was pissed, cold, and annoyed.
She turned around and stormed up the path until she came across a cave. She went into it and was soon followed by the group who were quiet. She took her cloak off and threw it on the floor, not caring that it was soaking.
She sat on it trying to get comfy; Kili walked over and placed his next to her.
“You alright?” he asked, reaching out for her shoulder.
Nothing.
Y/n closed her eyes and tried to sleep, but the crashing of the thunder was louder in the cave than outside.
Kili pulled her towards him; his chest touched her back. His warmth spread through her small body. Y/n stuck her face in his chest and wrapped her arms around his strong arms.
A clash of thunder echoed through the cave making Y/n squeak and burying her head into Kili’s chest even more. He chuckled and kissed the top of her head. The two fell asleep in each other’s arms.
They both were awoken by the sudden shouts of the dwarves as they fell into a large basket. Goblins grabbed and pulled at the dwarves and Y/n. One, unlucky, poked Y/n in the chest and received a punch in the face. After fighting with their hands the Goblins managed to cuff the group in a long line like cattle and pushed them down a winding path singing a horrible song:
Clap, snap, the black crack
Grip, grab, pinch, and nab
Batter and beat
Make ‘em stammer and squeak!
Pound pound, far underground
Down, down, down in Goblin Town
With a swish and smack
And a whip and a crack
Everybody talks when they’re on my rack
Pound pound, far underground
Down, down, down in Goblin Town
Hammer and tongs, get out your knockers and gongs
You won't last long on the end of my prongs
Clash, crash, crush and smish
Bang, break, shiver and shake
You can yammer and yelp
But there ain't no help
Pound pound, far underground
Down, down, down in Goblin Town
The ropes at Y/n’s wrists were tearing at them making the flesh go red at the friction. Kili was in front of her and kept looking back at her to make sure she was okay. After 20 minutes of pushing, pulling, and jeering at the gang, they arrived in front of an ugly goblin with a massive hanging chin.
As he sang the same song that they were singing, Y/n felt a headache coming. Will this guy shut up? Well, if what something done, better do it yourself. As the goblin king finished holding the note for way too long, Y/n opened her mouth and shouted.
“Will you shut up!”
Everyone fell quiet, even the jeering goblins.
The King looked down and asked a goblin to bring the one who said that up. The goblin who was in charge of Y/n pushed her to the front, where she was pushed to her knees.
“Oh, look at this. Some elf brat decided to stand up for herself!” As the king spoke, the scent was awful and nearly made her throw up.
“You’re singing sounds like a warg being drowned.” Y/n replied calmly.
“You are insane to speak to a king like that!” The goblin cried out.
“Insanity runs in my family. It practically gallops.” Y/n sassed back.
The Goblin king had had enough of her. He slammed his foot onto a wooden plank which made Y/n shoot back into Kili’s legs. He brought her to her feet and whispered in her ears.
“I like it when you’re sassy, but you dying isn’t on the agenda today.”
Y/n smiled at him and looked back at the Goblin king who was now getting his minions to give him the weapons.
“Who is so brave to walk in armed to my kingdom?” he asked, sitting back on his throne. It creaked and was accompanied with the screeching of Goblins that were being squished as he sat down.
“Spies, Thieves, assassins!” he cried out as the dwarves looked at him with pure revolted
The Goblin that stood at the front of the Dwarves turned and spat.
“Dwarves, you griminess”
“Dwarves?” asked the Goblin King
“Found em’ sheltering in the front porch” A Goblin cheered as to get the kings attention.
The King sighed, disappointed in his kin. As he stood up, to look at the goblin at the front again. As he got closer the stench grew worse. It smelt of rotting fruit and old meat.
“Well don’t just stand there. Search them!” he commanded. Instantly the Goblins were grabbing at the company. One took the earpiece Oin used to hear and smashed it on the ground. From Nori, a giant bag was taken from him and inside were, cutlery, plates, and candlesticks obviously from Rivendale.
Y/n glared at him, while he looked sheepishly away from her. The Goblin king picked up a candlestick turning it over and read.
“Made in Rivendale. Oh, the second age.” Then he threw it over his shoulder and down into the depths of Goblin town.
The Goblins were still grabbing and shoving at the dwarves while they were being questioned by the king. Thorin went to answer, but Oin stood forward to protect his King.
“You gonna have to speak up Lad, your boys flattened my trumpet?”
The Goblin raised his staff to strike the old dwarf.
“If it’s information you want you better talk to me.” Bofur got the attention of the king
“Go on. I want the truth, warts and all” The king stepped back arms crossed
“Well. We were on the road; it wasn’t actually a road but more of a path. Anyway, we were on this path thing and then we weren’t which is a problem because we were supposed to be in Dunland by last Tuesday.” Bofur babbled to by time
“Visiting distant relatives.” Gloin butted in
“Some inbreds on my mother side.” Bofur was making up some crazy stuff now,
“Shut up!” The goblin king shouted as he clearly got annoyed. The goblins all quivered and shrank down
“If they won’t talk, they will squawk! Bring up the bone cleaver, bring up the head smasher.” The goblins cheered as their leader made commanded
“Start with the youngest.” He pointed at Ori.
“Wait!” a deep voice echoed, walking through the crowd of dwarves.
Thorin stepped forwards
The goblin king froze and a smirk crawled onto his ugly face.
“Thorin Oakenshield, King under the mountain.” He said walking around his arms in the air then he looked at Thorin with a smile.
“Only you don’t have a mountain anymore.”
The uproar from dwarves and Y/n nearly battled the noise that the Goblins around them. They had had enough of being pushed around like toys.
Suddenly, a giant white flash blinded all of the goblins and knocked them all to the floor.
Gandalf stood on a to the right of the Goblin king and looked directly at the group.
“Run you fools.”
And by God did they run, Y/n was in the middle shooting the goblins running towards the group.
Often she would yell at the guy in front of her to duck as she fired an arrow. They finally made it to the end of the track, they all paused. Y/n ran into the hard back of Thorin as he froze. The Goblin had somehow managed follow them stop their escape.
Gandalf stood up and looked up at the king, with a face of pure disgust.
“What you gonna do now, Wizard?” The Goblin jeered at the wizard
Gandalf, very sassily (which Y/n was quite proud of), sliced the stabbed the stomach of the gross king and Y/n smirked.
“That all do”
Quickly, Y/n lunged forward, grabbing a dagger from Fili’s back pockets, and sliced the singular rope that was keeping them upright.
All 14 fell into the depths of the caves. Y/n skidded down the side of the cliff, her boots scraping across the rock and landed on the ledge. She stood up and began battering herself down checking if she was hurt.
“Well, that could have been worse.” Bofur said
Right before the goblin king fell onto the wooden pile. A groan echoed through the cave walls.
Y/n burst out into a loud laugh and laughed so hard she had to put her hands on her knees.
Completely, unaware of the gaze of a brown-eyed dwarf.

The Truth
The dwarves are unhappy with a meatless meal, and tensions rise when Y/n, with elven heritage, is treated as royalty by Elrond. Y/n asserts her independence and playfully challenges royal norms. A food fight breaks out during dinner, and later, Y/n encounters the dwarves frolicking in a fountain, resulting in a soaked dress. Despite mishaps, playful banter ensues between Y/n and Kili, hinting at a budding relationship. The evening ends with Y/n surprising Kili with a cheeky kiss, leaving him dazed, and Thorin observing their connection.
Tw- None
The dwarves were not happy.
There was no meat at all on the plates that were put in front of them, just green things that tasted horrible. Thorin had refused to sit at the table and eat food given to him by the species he hated the most. As he looked out of the large hole he stood in front of, his mind was trying to process what had just happened.
Elrond has called Y/n ‘Your Majesty’. She is related to that pampered asshole that is King Thranduil.
Anger flooded through his veins, how come Y/n hadn’t told them.
The chatter behind him stopped. Thorin turned around because the dwarves being quiet during a meal is nothing normal.
As he turned, Y/n walked into the light of the hall. The dress was pooling at her feet, the sleeves were way too long for her. Her hair was pulled back and had been put into a plat, the tiara was weaved into her.
She looked gorgeous, but you could tell she was uncomfortable. As she moved to sit next to Kili, Erland grabbed her hand to make her sit next to him.
“Y/n, you have to sit here!” he exclaimed as Y/n stood up. That is when she exploded.
“Oh, do I, I thought I could sit where I want, and I want to sit with my friends. Not some posh elf boy with an ego that is the size of Smaug’s love for gold. Now stop telling me what to do!” Y/n commanded.
Ever since she had walked into this place, that she used to miss, the people were bowing and telling her where to go and what to do. Surely a princess should have her freedom. She spun on her heel and walked over to where all the dwarves were sat, with astonished looks on their faces. Thorin went to brood out of the window, with a smirk on his face.
At least the sass was passed down.
The chatter returned as she sat down and dug into the salad that was in front of her. After 5 minutes, she looked up at Kili and said,
“I am so sorry about my past. I thought you would treat me differnerly if you would know that i wasn’t a normal half elf.”
Kili smiled and put his large hand on her small, now less muddy, hand.
“I get it, we wouldn’t treat you any different from how we do now. I mean, I’m a prince, and Bofur threw a rock at me the other day.” Kili laughed as the look of shock crossed Y/n’s face.
Then a lettuce leaf smacked her in the back of the head.
“All right, which one of you was that!” she swirled around and picked up a parsnip. All of the dwarves pointed at Fili.
She swung her arm back and threw the vegetable at Fili. But it was way off target and hit Thorin in the back of the head; everyone went quiet.
“Oh Skirth!” she swore as Thorin slowly spun around. She was dead. Then another lettuce leaf hit him in the forehead. Kili and Fili jumped out of their seats and began to throw vegetables at whoever was in reach. Twice Kili got a tomato in the face; Y/n seemed to be the main target for three of the dwarves.
Kili ran towards her and threw her over his shoulder.
“Kili Durin! Put me down now!” She screamed, slamming her fists into his shoulder.
“Ow! No, stop wriggling, will you. Ow,” he argued back but eventually put her on the floor.
“Watch this,” Kili whispered into her pointed ears.
He picked up a potato and threw it in Erland’s direction. He moved out of the way just in time, and it hit the statue behind him. The two burst out laughing. The evening was very enjoyable.
Y/n was walking around Rivendale. She kept thinking of her mother; would the guards of Rivendale tell her father she was here? They had to go near Mirkwood, so would she run into her brother or her father?
As she walked past the fountain, shouts caught her attention. They seemed happy. As she turned the corner, her eyes caught a sight she wouldn’t forget for a while.
All of the dwarves were in the fountain, naked. She squeaked, and that caught the attention of them all. She spun around as Kili got out of the fountain.
“You alright, Lass?” He asked, walking behind her, not being able to see her face. She was glad about that, as she was bright red.
“Yes, Kili, I’m fine. Could you just get back in the water or put a towel on… please,” she muttered as he got closer.
“Come on, Kili,” Fili shouted in his direction. Kili laughed and walked back to the fountain.
Y/n turned around as she heard a massive splash. All of the dwarves had jumped in, causing a massive splash to get her soaked.
Her dress was ruined, which she didn’t care about, but it was starting to stick to her body. Making her curves stick out a bit.
“Guys!” she moaned.
She walked back to her room, dripping water all over the place. She was freezing.
“Y/n!” Her name was shouted as she turned to see Kili, this time in a green shirt with brown trousers on.
“Kili, I’m not mad at you.” His face lit up. “But please don’t do that again.”
“Well, it wasn’t my idea it was—“
“Let me guess, Fili.”
“Yes,” Kili said, looking at the floor.
“Actually, I was surprised that you landed in the fountain. Where did you aim when we needed to shoot the warg earlier?” The e/c-eyed girl looked at Kili with a smirk. She had pushed a couple of buttons.
“Hey, at least I don’t trip over my own feet.”
Leaning in, Y/n glared and stuck her tongue out at him. The two burst into a fit of giggles.
Kili gazed into her eyes as she looked at him.
“At least I can argue with a troll.”
“At least, I don’t get caught by a troll.”
“I was saving Bilbo!” Y/n cried, putting her hands on her hips.
“I saved you twice!” Kili gave her a sideways glance.
“Once, and you told them to drop me; if they did, I would have landed on my head.”
“And we wouldn’t want your pretty ears to get squished, would we?”
Y/n punched Kili in the shoulder.
“Ow! Stop being so rough,” Kili cried out as he held onto his arm.
“I thought you liked it rough,” Y/n cheekily said, raising an eyebrow.
Kili’s face went into a dark shade of red. His head suddenly was filled with situations that made his legs twang a bit.
He came to a halt at her side. Kili wanted to say something. Anything, he wanted to make her feel like this. As she reached her door, she looked at Kili and spoke.
“Thanks for walking me back.” She turned to open the door to her room.
“You’re welcome; oh, and Thorin wants us to leave at midnight. We need to get to Dale before Durin’s Day,” Kili told her, gazing at her.
“Oh, thank you, Kili,” Y/n replied, her thigh holster was beginning to rub; she mentally swore.
“Goodnight, Princess,” Kili said as he walked back to the place where the dwarves slept.
Y/n stopped, her heart beating at 100 miles per hour. An idea popped into her head. She spun around and kissed Kili on his cheek. When she lowered herself to the ground, she smirked at him.
“Goodnight, Prince.”
Y/n disappeared into her room, leaving Kili in the corridor on his own.
Kili had never been so still. He was really tempted to open that door and kiss her back. Walking over to the door, he put his hand on the doorknob.
“Kili.”
His face shot up, and he saw Thorin. How much had he seen? The whole thing. He smiled at the young dwarf and put his arm around his shoulder and walked the dazed boy back to the room he was staying in.

Running Through a Meadow at Top Speed.
Y/n tends to a wound during a cave exploration with the company. Kili helps her bandage it. A commotion with trolls, wargs, and orcs ensues, but Y/n and Kili fend them off. Gandalf guides them to safety in Rivendell. Y/n's heritage as King Thranduil's daughter is revealed by Elrond. She reunites with her childhood friend, Erland, making Kili slightly jealous. Y/n enjoys a relaxing bath in her luxurious room after the day's events.
TW- Injury, danger and violence.
Words- 1238
As the company went to explore the cave, Y/n took the opportunity to look at her hip. The blood was beginning to stain the f/c trousers she had worn.
“Fuck.” She whispered under her breath. She ripped a bit of her cloak and tied it around her waist to stop the bleeding. As she did, a smooth voice caught her attention.
“You’re bleeding!?” Kili asked walking quickly to the girl.
“Oh, am I? Thank you, I didn't notice the blood staining my favourite trousers!” Y/n sarcastically snapped at him. Kili chuckled and walking up to her, helped her tie the knot. As he was doing this, Y/n looked up at him and his brown chestnut eyes were focused on the knot at her hip. He stuck his tongue out like a child.
“You are staring,” Kili said chuckling as he finished his handy work. Y/n looked away at her muddy nails as if to cover her.
“N... No, I wasn’t,” she argued.
Suddenly a loud shout caught her attention and just as she moved out of the way, a sleigh being pulled by 10 rustabell rabbits jumped up with a crazy old man on the end. Gandalf walked towards him and greeted his old friend. The two talked in private as a howl echoed through the cavern they were in. Y/n ran to Stumpys side and tried to calm the horse down, but he was too strong and broke free of her grasp.
“Oi, Stumpy get back here now! Hey, I’m talking to you. God, you’re almost stubborn as a dwarf” she muttered as she reached the company again. With Bofur, Kili and Fili giving her a look, they all began running away from her.
“Hey, what’s wrong, don’t you guys run away from me either!” But she soon found out why.
A growl from behind her made her turn to find a warg and an orc. She belted it out of that cavern
She ran towards Kili, who to make sure that she was there, was running backwards.
“You couldn’t have warned me, I was nearly orc dinner!” she shouted running past him and towards Thorin who was beckoning them to hide under a cliff. As they rested, a growl caught their ears.
Thorin looked at Y/n and Kili were the only to who had arrows and rutted his head towards the warg.
The two simultaneously stepped out, nocked an arrow and fired. Kili hit the warg, while Y/n hit the Orc in the head.
“Ha!” she shouted causing all the orcs to turn to her.
“Run!” she and Kili shouted as they all came running towards them.
Gandalf then magically appeared by a rock that pocked out of the ground, “This way!” he shouted, and all of the company jumped down.
Y/n landed with her leg stretched out to the side her arms out and flipped her hair back as she contacted the ground. She quickly moved out of the way as dwarves were not the lightest at the best times but 11 of them landing on her would hurt.
There was a large thud as they all fell in, not a graceful as Y/n did.
“Ouch, you’re crushing my spleen!” Fili shouted at Balin who was being squished down by, Bombur, Thorin and Bofur.
“Oh shush, I’m sure you don’t even know where your spleen is,” Balin said.
Y/n giggled as began to walk away from the entrance and down the path, to wherever it led to. When she turned the final corner, she stopped.
Is that?
Memories came rushing back to her as the golden turrets of Rivendale were in front of her. She was then joined by Thorin. He sighed as glared at Gandalf.
“Elves.” He muttered “Go back to the cave”
But it was too late, Y/n had shot down the winding step path at such a speed now that the dwarves could catch up with her.
She stopped as she reached the bridge. She walked through the gate. Into a circular yard as she was halfway up the stairs the silent guards moved to corner the dwarves.
“Halt who goes there?” A tall elf with long brown hair came down to walk down the stairs but stopped as he saw Y/n.
“Your majesty.” He said bowing
Y/n froze she didn’t want to tell the dwarves about her father being King Thranduil as she knew Thorin hated him because he didn’t help when Smaug attacked them.
“Oh, and Gandalf.” Lord Elrond said as he extended his arm to shake it.
Y/n looked back at the dwarf that was being hassled but she caught the eyes of Thorin, who looked away with betrayal in his eyes.
“Oh, wall var neshanas poimning viaren swirds pt salen Ebrath?” Y/n commands the guards.
The guards move away and Gloin looks up at her and asks.
“You can speak elvish?” They all look at her with confusion.
“Yup.”
Elrond grabbed Y/n’s arm linked it with his and asked her.
“Woild viaren freinds e lor nae wenta ent bathe?”
Gloin shouted, and Kili looked at the ground. He didn’t like how comfortable he put his hands on you.
“No Gloin he offered if you wanted food and a bath!” Y/n explained as the dwarves drew their swords.
“Oh, well then lead the way then,” Gloin said.
Elrond led the company to the castle and at the doorway, a dark-haired elf, (y/n) recognised, was leaning against the door. His golden eyes sparkled as he caught sight of her.
“Erland!” she shouted and ran towards the young elf and jumped into his arms.
“Gwenie! he cheered as he hugged the girl back.
The two had been friends since they were young children, but when Y/n went to live with Bilbo she couldn’t see him anymore.
“It’s been years.” She said as Erland put her back on the ground and his hands on her waist.
“It has. It looks like have been on an adventure you have always dreamed of Princess. You smell of dwarf!” He laughed as the company entered the great hall.
“You don’t have to call me Princess, my father isn’t here to yell at you,” Y/n said as she walked away from and to the death glaring at Kili. To follow them.
But Elrond caught her arm and told her to follow Erland to her room.
As the two walked away from the company, Kili’s heart twitched as Erland put his arm around her shoulder. He glanced at Kili and winked at him.
The room was gorgeous. It had a massive bed draped in f/c drapes and a couple of fluffy cushions. On the door was a f/c dress which reached the floor.
“The bath is in there and Elrond wants you to wear that to dinner. You remember where the hall is.” He asked as his golden eyes followed her around the room.
“Yeah,” she said pulling at the sleeves of the dress.
Erland left the room and she sighed. Walking into the bathroom she saw that a bath had been made already. She slipped in after removing her clothes and hissed as the warm water fixed her wounds on her hip.
“Ah, it's been a long day.” She muttered to herself as she closed her eyes to have her well-needed rest.

Roast Dwarf
Y/n wakes to Fili, Kili, and Bofur's wake-up call and quickly joins the dwarves on their journey. As they travel, there's a hint of attraction between Y/n and Kili. The group encounters trolls, leading to Gwen's capture. Kili and the dwarves rescue her with Gandalf's help, turning the trolls to stone. After the ordeal, Kili checks on Y/n, who's bruised but okay, and they share playful banter as they continue their journey.
TW- Blood, violence, capture.
Words- 2275
Y/n was woken up by three pairs of hands shaking her, she opened her green eyes to see Fili, Kili, and Bofur smiling down at her. She sat up and looked at the clock on the mantel piece. It had just turned seven. She jumped off the sofa and run over to the hall to find her cloak, bow, and dagger. She put them on, then she walked out the door.
The bright early morning sun shone down on her face, and she smiled. The odd hobbit or two was walking around the little village and when they passed Y/n they waved. She picked up her sword from the chair and went untie Stumpy.
When she arrived back at the Hobbit Hole, she saw that all of the dwarves were walking out of the gate and down the path that led to the entrance of Hobbiton. Her hair was down as she galloped through the little village that had been her home for a very long time. She kept going until she was out of the village,
“Hey, guys, w-“As she turned around she saw that she had left the dwarves behind. Laughing, she got off Stumpy and leaned against a tree waiting for the crew to catch up.
When they finally did, Thorin had a smile on his face. Kili and Fili trotted up to her and continued the trip at her side. She kept looking back to see if Bilbo was coming but every time her shoulders slumped.
“How much you bet that he isn’t coming?” Y/n heard Dori say to Nori.
“I bet that he is!” Kili shouted,
“I bet 20 silvers.” He finished giving Y/n a side look, winking.
After everyone had made their bets they all turned to Y/n, apart from Thorin. He was listening and every time someone said they were betting for him to come he would shake his head. Y/n had noticed this and then an idea popped into her head,
“Hey Thorin!” she shouted gaining everyone’s attention, the raven hair king turned on his horse and looked at her, “I bet 70 silver that he does come, but it has to be from you!”
Everyone stopped at looked at her like she was crazy. She glared at Bofur as he whispered to Kili, whose jaw had dropped to the floor.
“Or are you scared to lose?” Y/n said with a wide smirk on her face. The clearing was quiet then Thorin said with a smirk that could match the girls,
“It’s on!”
They had been riding for about ten minutes until a small voice sounded and said to stop. Recognising the voice Y/n span around to see Bilbo running after them with his red coat flowing in the wind.
“Bilbo!” she shouted at him, but he glared at her.
She looked down and knew she was going to be told off later. They began to walk again and she galloped up to Thorin to reclaim her price. When she arrived, he sighed and fuddled with his pocket and brought out a very large bag of silver.
“How do I know that there is 70 in there?” She said taking the bag out of his calloused fingers.
“Just trust me, N/N” Chuckling, she tied it to her belt. She turned around to see Bilbo in the middle of Kili and Fili.
As the company rode through the hobbit lands, they swapped stories, sang, and occasionally stopped for meals- which Biblo found wasn’t often enough. The sun was shining, the horse wasn’t too grumpy, and the may air ran its fingers through Y/n's hair.
Kili, who was next to Y/n, kept throwing glances at her as she walked next to him. The f/c of her trousers always caught his eyes when her horse went into a slight canter. His stomach would flip at the sight of her smile, and his heart beat quicker if they accidentally bumped shoulders or whenever she was practising her archery. Little did he know that there was a war similar to his happening in the girl's head as well.
Y/n constantly saw the looks Kili gave her, and she had to admit, she was doing the same. He was just too good-looking to not stare at. His jaw could cut her but was covered in tickly stubble. He was quite tall for a dwarf, he was so young and free. He was a child at heart, and that was what made her heart melt when he and Fili would run off with the elders smiling.
Thorin caught the looks the two gave each other and smiled to himself. He always thought that Kili would be a bachelor for life, but now he saw himself in his nephew. Chasing after a girl, like he used to do to Namath.
Then it rained, oh how it rained. The hood on Y/n ’s head was doing little to keep the rain out of her face. She was worried that Stumpy would get grumpy and throw her off. He hated the rain, and so did she. She got cold easily. Thorin finally put up his hand and grumbled,
“We will camp here, Fili, Kili tend to the horse. Bombur make dinner, Gloin make sure he doesn’t eat it. We are all hungry.”
The dwarves set of the to their jobs while Thorin and Gandalf got into a heated argument, resulting in him stamping away like a little child, cursing at the dwarves under his breathe.
The soup was made, and all of the dwarves were digging into it, Y/n took two bowls from Balin to give to Fili and Kili. Bilbo came with her so she could eat hers with the two.
As they walked over to the clearing they were in, Bilbo cleared his throat.
“You like him, don’t you?” he said giving his daughter a sideways glance,
Y/n ’s face flared up, but she replied sassily,
“Define him, Dad, there are like 11 dwarves.” She looked down at Bilbo who chuckled and nodded his head towards their destination.
“Kili. You were never like that with any of the boys back in Hobbiton.”
Y/n sighed, lifting her head she walked over a tree stump and saw Kili and Fili leaning on a tree log looking at a path ahead of them,
“Because I had grow up with the boys back in Hobbiton.” She whispered and silently creeped towards the two dwarves
“BOO!” she shouted and the two jumped before pulling down onto the floor so she wouldn’t be spotted by the thing they were hiding from.
Laughing quietly, she swivelled around and saw a massive mountain troll stomping past holding a horse in either hand.
“They have got Mindy and Myrtle!” Bilbo whispered in a hushed tone, “What are we gonna do?” he looked at the three younglings in front of him and they all turned around at the same time with mischievous smiles on their faces.
Kili stood up and whispered, “Well as our official burglar, you could go get them back.”
With a sudden flash of green, Y/n was over the log and running towards the light that the troll had stomped to.
“Wait, Y/n ”
“Y/n get back here now.”
“Mahal, give me strength”
Y/n ran off dodging trees and with a smile on her face she stopped right at the end of the clearing. She heard someone behind her a guessed it was Bilbo.
“Are you mad!” he hissed as he squatted down next to her.
“No, just not wasting time.” She said and ran over to where Myrtle was being kept. With her dragger she cut through the rope. Cheering quietly, she looked over to were Bilbo should have been.
He wasn’t.
Instead, he was standing at the side of a troll and reaching to get the large craving knife from his pocket. What is he doing?
“Bilbo no!” she hissed trying get his attention.
The troll was moving his large arm to get the knife and Bilbo didn’t see.
Quickly, Y/n sprinted across the clearing and pushed Bilbo out of the way. Only to be grabbed by the troll herself.
His grip on her waist tight and she couldn’t breathe properly
“Here, look at what was picking my pockets, Bert!” It shouted like a young child who had just won a toy at a fair. Y/n wiggled around but the grip only tightened.
“What is it?” one said
“Its an elf!”
“Too small to be an elf”
“Nah, look at the ears.”
Y/n was trying to reach into her thigh holster to grab her dagger when one of the trolls grabbed her leg and hung her upside down. Her cloak fell over her face.
“ Put me down! Now!” she screamed at the top of her lungs.
She went to grabbed her dagger but only to find that it had fallen out of her holster.
“Oh, gravity aren’t thou a mythic bitch.” She muttered under her breath. The trolls were still arguing over how they should eat her when Kili suddenly jumped through a bush, wielding his swords through the air, and cried
“Drop her!”
The trolls looked at him in utter confusion.
“You what?”
“I said. Drop her.” Kili replied with a shit eating grin on his face.
Then all of the company and Bilbo ran into the clearing and the troll holding Y/n by her leg threw her at Kili. The two collided and laned in the dirt a couple of meters away from the trolls. Y/n lifted her head and glared at Kili, who was beneath her.
“Drop her?! ” she shouted at him, Kili just laugher but rolled the two over as Oin was throw in their direction.
“Hey, at least you’re not in its nasty hands anymore.” He chuckled at her while moving a bit of hair out of her face.
The two blushed.
“Oh, will you two stop making goo-goo eyes at each other?”  Dwalin yelled as the duo got off each other and ran into the fight.
Y/n ran over to help Balin fight his troll. The fight was going well. She slid towards the troll that had grabbed her and slashed at his legs, causing a monstrous roar to echo through the clearing. She laughed as she got up onto a rock and got ready to shoot the troll in the eye, when yet again a large two pairs of hands grabbed a leg and arm each hand.
“Drop your arms or we will rip hers off!” they shouted at the dwarves who had crowed around them.
With a chink of metal all of the dwarves laid down their arms, Ori was dramatic as always. And they were all tumbled into a bag with Y/n still being held in the hand of the first troll, very pissed.
Bilbo was trying to stop them from eating everyone and the excuse were not going well with the dwarves.
“The secret to cooking dwarf is Ummm.”
“Yes.”
“I’m telling you, is to…. Skin them first!” Bilbo shouted looking at the dwarves.
The uproar from the dwarves was hilarious and Y/n had to keep her laughter in.
Luckily, one of the trolls disagree with him and the whole argument started again.
Then a troll picked up Bombur and Y/n had an idea and slight payback. As she opened her mouth she saw a figure with a grey hat run past, Gandalf. She needs to buy time.
“Wait no, not him he is infected. His got worms in his….tubes! In fact, they all have parasites, I wouldn’t risk it.” She said, trying to help her friends. With that Bombur was dropped onto the group and landed on Kili.
"Did she say parasites!?" Ori said to Kili
"WE don't have parasites! YOU have parasites!" Kili shouted at her
Y/n rolled her eyes and looked at Thorin with a ‘Please tell your dim-witted kin to shut the hell up’ look
Thorin caught the look and understood, she was buying them time. He then kicked Kili in the backside. The all stopped wriggling and shouting and looked up at their King, had the same look on his face.
Then finally they all understood.
“I’ve got parasites as big as my arm!” Oin screams
“Mine are the biggest parasites! I have huge parasites!” Kili shouts as he wriggles a bit more.
The shouting went on for a bit of who got the biggest parasites until
“Dawn will take you all!” Gandalf stood on a rock and smashed his walking stick into the grown and let the light of day spread into the clearing turning the trolls into stone.
Luckily, the troll holding Y/n used both of his hands to cover his eyes. She fell to the floor, hard. She rubbed her butt. Ouch, I’m now glad I landed on Kili before she thought.
The company helped each other out with the bags and the roasting stick. When Kili had got out of the bag with help from his uncle, he ran over to Y/n to check if she was okay.
“You okay?” he asks as he reaches out his arm to pull her to her feet,
She had a couple of bruises on her waist, but she had fallen on rock and her right hip was bleeding. Hissing, she picked up her sword and dagger.
“If I survive this, can I go home?” Y/n asked sarcastically as she walked past him

Words- 3594 x
The arrow hit its target.
“Yes!” a h/c hair elf cheered, only she wasn’t an elf she had dwarf blood in her too. Most of her was dwarf, she would live as long as them, and she would be as tall as a normal she-dwarf, but she had elf ears, could speak fluent elvenish and could use elven healing, which she only used on herself and her father.
Sighing, she began to walk back to where she had tied up her pony. She thought back to yesterday when her dream had been turned away from her just because of her protective father.
*Flashback*
As Y/n dusted the wood shavings off of her apron she began humming a song she remembered her mother sung to her back when she was alive. Of course, she remembered her real mother and father, but they never came to get her back. News that the young elf princess had been missing travelled fast across Middle Earth, but no one connected it to Y/n. As she walked out of her room to place the arrow she had just finished making with her stuff outside she heard Bilbo’s raised voice echo through the door that had been painted only a week ago.
“There will be no adventures around here! Thank you and-“
Y/n stuck her head out of the door and her eyes met the dazzling colour that belonged to a wizard she knew quite well.
“Adventure?” she asked completely stepping out of the door and standing next to her father, her beautiful eyes glinting as she bounced on the balls of her feet.
“Why, Ms Y/n. Yes I do believe you two would be perfect for the vacancies!” exclaimed Gandalf as he chuckled at the whooping young lady in front of her.
“Yes, I would love to go, when, where, what are we doing? Is there the option I might die? it sounds like I’m in!” Y/n cheered running up to where she hid the bow and sword from Bilbo, who in surprise and shock thought that those two things were in the bottom of his drawers Y/n was never allowed to touch.
“No way on Middle Earth are you going on this adventure!” Bilbo shouted as she jumped over the wall of his front garden. Y/n’s head shot up as looked at him with utter disappointment.
“But Father I-“
“Don’t you dare ‘but father’ me young lady, we talked about this. I hid that from you for a reason.” Gandalf looked at the two and smiled.
“I’m sorry Gandalf, but I will not allow you to infect her mind with ideas of this adventure you speak of. Come over for tea, tomorrow. Yes come over tomorrow and don’t talk about adventure with my daughter. Umm, good day!”
And with that, he closed the door swiftly but not to seem rude, after all, wizards were wizards.
He sighed, Y/n was in the kitchen. Her shoulders slumped.
Bilbo sighed again, he hated arguing with her, and she always won.
“When did you take the swords and bow from my draws?” he asked as he sat at the table drinking his cup of tea.
Y/n chuckled and said with a smile adorning on her face, “ When you came back from Mister Gamgees about 7 years ago. You were a bit on the booze, so I saw the opportunity and dashed into your drawing room. They have been hidden in the bush outside, in a case I bought.”
She had fully turned around her green dress waving around her feet like the sea.
Bilbo laughed and pushed a cup of tea towards her, the two spent the night playing cards until the moon was high in the sky.
*End of Flashback*
Y/n noticed how dark it was and quickly got on her black pony Stumpy and quickly rode home. Bilbo had told her to be back before it got dark for tea. She was doing this to hope that Bilbo would let her go on the adventure of her lifetime.
When she arrived at the hobbit's house, she quickly tied up Stumpy. She pushed the door open, and a sight met her eyes she would never forget:
Four dwarves were pushing and pulling on a table that wouldn’t go through a door, Bilbo was trying to stop them and as soon as she walked through the door all five heads turned to see her. Y/n chuckled, hung up her cloak, unbuckled the sword hustler from her waists that held only her to daggers and placed her weapons on a chair to her left. She looked back at the dwarves and saw two young ones and two old ones.
“Ummm. Who is the lass?” one said. He had a shaved head and tattoos all over his muscular arms.
“This is Y/n, my adopted daughter,” Bilbo said as he wiped the sweat from his eyebrows.
Suddenly all four dwarves dropped the table and stood in a line to greet her. First, a dwarf who had white hair and his name was Balin, then a blonde dwarf with a beard who was called Fili, then came the one who asked you who she was, and his name was Dwalin, then finally a very handsome dwarf kissed her hand and winked at her.
He had brown curly hair which fell down to his shoulder and brown eyes that sparkled, he unlike his brother Fili, had only some small stubble. His name was Kili. Blushing, she went to help Bilbo get the table of his foot.
“Why, on middle earth are there four dwarves here? She hissed to Bilbo. He quite loudly whispered back to her glaring at them.
“No clue.” Y/n quickly went to her room and pulled her hair over her ears.
Dwarves and Elves never had a good relationship, and she had the idea they knew a lot more about her than she would like.
When she left her room, she was met by a lot more dwarves than there were originally. Then Y/n stopped as she saw Gandalf talking to a dwarf with a grey beard and holding a tray.
She stomped over and asked, “Gandalf who are these…. dwarves.”
Trying not to sound too rude she didn’t want to call them a name she would regret.
“My dear Y/n these are the dwarves of Erebor, we have Dwalin, Balin, Kili, Fili, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur. We are one short though.” Gandalf said pointing at each dwarf at the sound names then sighing.
“He went to see our kin, in the iron hills. He will be here soon.” Dwalin said leaning against the doorway.
Y/n walked over to the table and sat down between Kili and Bofur. Then Fili walked onto the table passing everyone a beer and stopping at her. She raised an eyebrow and took the mug out of his hands.
She slushed the beer around in its mug. Y/n had had this beer before, and she liked it. Looking up she saw every dwarf looking at her with now wet beards as they had all downed their beers.
“Come, lass,” Bofur said slapping her on the back. Then Y/n spotted Bilbo looking at her shaking his head at her. She smirked at him shrugging her shoulders she knocked her head back as she downed the beer.
Not spilling a drop.
When she placed the mug back down, she looked around at the dwarves, mouths open, very wide. Bilbo huffed and threw his arms in the air. Then she felt an arm go around her shoulders, she looked up to meet chocolate brown eyes. She felt her face warm up, then she moved backwards.
Only to fall into Bofur, who moved backwards, making Y/n fall off the table and bagging her head. A burst of laughter erupted from the room. Then Kili wrapped his arms under Y/n and pulled her up to sit next to him.
“So, lass, what’s a young girl like you doing slushing down beer like a dwarven maiden,” Balin said. Y/n felt her heart drop.
“I’m part dwarf and-,” Y/n said staring at her mug.
“An elf?” Balin said as she tucked her hair behind her ears. Y/n looked up and the dwarfs were all smiling.
“Lass, don’t worry your head, we know what you are!” Dwalin said smacking her in the back.
“You do!” She expressed.
To her left Kili put his arm around her and smiled.
“Of course, many dwarves have fallen for elves before!” Kili winked at the group as Y/n’s face grew hot. She stood up and went to find Bilbo. He was not enjoying the company as much as she was. He was whisper-shouting at Gandalf.
“And I don’t even want to mention what they have done in the toilet.” Y/n giggled as she walked up to Bilbo and said, “I think they are lovely, and maybe they could tell me a bit about my mother.”
Then Ori came over to them and asked.
“I am sorry to interrupt but where shall I put my plate?” Y/n opened her mouth to speak but then Fili said.
”Here Ori give it here.” Then he threw it over his head towards Kili who caught it and then threw it back into the kitchen.
“Hey, I need my head,” Y/n said as the second plate narrowly missed her if she hadn’t ducked. Then Biblo ran back into the kitchen where the table had been placed Y/n heard Kili sing:
Blunt the knives, bend the forks
Y/n looked up at him and smiled then Fili sang.
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Chip the glasses and crack the plates.
The rest of the dwarves joined in
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
Laughing Y/n joined in ducking at the odd plate or so. Then Kili jumped next to her and started to spin her around. Her h/c hair followed behind her.
Cut the cloth, tread on the fat.
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat.
Pour the milk on the pantry floor.
Splash the wine on every door!
Dump the crocks in a boiling bowls.
Pound them up with a thumping pole
When you're finished if they are whole
Send them down the hall to roll.
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
After what felt like hours of dancing and ducking, Y/n finally stopped next to Kili, who had a little pipe in his hand. All the dwarves were laughing, and Y/n was chuckling earning a look from Bilbo.
Then a loud harsh knock Bilbo rushed to get it and Y/n followed after Gandalf said hoarsely
“He is here”.
In front of Y/n and Bilbo was a handsome dwarf who had deep blue eyes, Y/n had recognised him and by the looks of it, so did he.
Then he walked in through the door and mumbled something about getting lost twice, but Y/n didn’t hear.
She was too busy trying to remember where she had seen him before when something Gandalf had said brought her out of her trance.
“This is Bilbo and Y/n is the leader of our company, Thorin Oakenshield.” Y/n looked up and gasped.
 She remembered something, her mother.
On her birthday, her best friend Dis visited she showed the two a picture of her sons and brother, Thorin was the brother. Then Thorin looked at Biblo, not noticing the girl standing to his left. He did not look impressed,
“What is your weapon of choice axe or sword?” Y/n mentally face palmed herself when she heard the words coming out of Bilbo’s mouth.
“I am quite skilled at conkers if you must not, but I see no reason on how that is at all relevant.” Sighing Thorin looked at Gandalf and said, “Are we making any more stops, I said to find the 14th and 15th members of the company. I only see one.”
Y/n stepped out of the dark corner she slunked herself into.
“Good to see you to Thorin.” Thorin then spun around to see a spitting image of his sister’s best friend standing in front of him.
“There Thorin is our 15th member,” Gandalf said pointing to Gwen. She smirked but then it dropped when Fili opened his mouth and spoke.
“But Gandalf she is a girl, I bet she can’t even defend herself.” With a flash, Y/n pulled a dagger out of her pocket and threw it at Fili, narrowly missing his face but cutting off some of his beard and ramming into the wall behind him.  Bilbo gasped and the rest of the company chuckled.
“You’re Namath’s daughter aren’t you,” Thorin said as he walked over to the kitchen table, nodding his head to his kin.
“Yes, I am,” Y/n said following him and making him a plate of food.
Thorin chuckled as he sat down. Then the rest of the company joined him. Y/n stood at the corner of the table until Kili beckoned her over. Y/n walked over and squatted beside him.
“How do you know my uncle?” He said looking down at her, his eyes counting each freckle on her nose.
“He knew my mother,” Y/n said standing up again after her thighs started to hurt her. She began to walk away but then Kili grabbed her hand and pulled her to sit next to him and Fili. Then Y/n lent towards Fili and said,
“Sorry about earlier, I just hate it when people say stuff like that.” Fili chuckled and said back
“It's fine, you can defend yourself.”
Y/n wanted to talk to Thorin about her mother, but more important things stood in the way. Gandalf was telling us about some map when she noticed him pull out a key from his sleeve. Thorin looked at it as if it were a puppy that just spoke.
“If there’s a key, there must be a door,” Fili said. Y/n smiled at the thought she would be helping the company get back to their home and her mother’s old home.
Then the dwarves started to shout about something when Thorin stood and shouted
“Ath gjorv!” Y/n understood what he had said. As a young child, her mother had taught her Dwarvish, and she still spoke it but only she wanted to swear. All the dwarves fell silent, and then Thorin said.
”The dragon, Smaug hasn’t been seen for 60 years. So, we still cannot just go barging in.” They all looked down and Ori said,
“We will never get our home back.”
Y/n felt Kili move forward, and his knee moved towards hers.
“But you don’t remember we have Gandalf on the team, I bet he has killed thousands of Dragons in his time.” He said smiling at every dwarf.
Y/n looked up and saw Gandalf go pink with embarrassment, and instantly Y/n could tell that he had killed 0 dragons in his time. Then all the dwarves started to cheer again and even Y/n joined in this time, she would help get these dwarfs their home back, even if Bilbo said she couldn’t.
“You will need a burglar then.” Y/n looked up to see Bilbo had walked behind Thorin.
“And an expert one too.” Y/n laughed, Bilbo was walking straight into this one.
“And are you?” Oin asked leaning forward.
“Am I what?” Bilbo asked scratching his head.
“He says he is an expert!” All the dwarves cheer again but Bilbo cuts them off by shouting
“I am not a burglar! Neither is Y/n... I think.”
Kili and Fili start to chuckle.
“Well, there were a few times when I was out of arrows, and I used to get some from Mr. Jones. But then again I was 50.” Y/n said earning a glare from Bilbo.
“I am afraid I agree with Mr Baggins, he is no Burglar, but the lass has shown great skill in defending herself, maybe she would like to come?” Balin said looking at Bilbo and then y/n who nodded her head as Balin passed her a contract.
But before she could get it out of the old man’s hands Bilbo snatched it away from her. Y/n got up and walked over to him as he read.
“Incineration!” Bilbo said after struggling to say the word for some time.
“Oh yeah, Smaug would melt the flesh right off your bones,” Bofur said leaning around the doorway. Then Y/n grabbed the contract and lifted it higher so Bilbo couldn’t reach it. As she read through the pages, her heart lifted with every sentence, this looked like fun and she would get a 15th share. Then she said earning looks from the company,
“Many ways to die, sounds like my kind of adventure.” Then she turned around and saw Bilbo lying on the floor. She sighed; he had fainted.
“Thanks for that Bofur.”  y/n heard Gandalf say as he moved forward and helped Y/n carrying Bilbo into a chair.
After Bilbo had been placed in the chair, Y/n went to get a quill to sign the contract. She smiled looking down at the long curvy signature. She was going on an adventure, to claim back her mother's homeland. Then she remembered she had wanted to ask Thorin about her mother, so she found him talking to Balin. She handed over the contract and looked at Thorin.
“So, I was wondering if you could tell me anything about my mother?” she asked after Balin walked away. Thorin smiled at her.
“Sure, thing lass, well where do I begin? She looked exactly like you to start with, and…. She was a really good friend of mine, She and Dis were best friends so, she also was an exceptionally good fighter.” He said trying to remember what her mother was like.
“But she went for a long expedition to visit her uncle in the iron hills, when Orcs had attacked her, she had put up a good fight, but one Orc came behind her, and she fainted. But when she opened her eyes, she was in a bed with your father looking at her. Dis visited her twice, one time when she was pregnant with you and then when you were born, she gave you a bow, which I saw on the chair by the door.”
Y/n laughed. Her mother was exactly how she wanted to know her. But what she didn’t know was how she died.
“Do…. Do you know how she died?” she asked. Thorin’s eyes fell, staring at the ground. Thorin did know how the young woman’s mother died but he didn’t want to tell afraid that she would go after the one responsible for her mother’s death.
“No, Y/n I do not know. I am deeply sorry.” Thorin said pulling Y/n into a warm hug.
After the little pep talk with Thorin, Y/n found Biblo was awake and talking to Gandalf, but being the sneaky girl, she was she just listened in to their conversation.
“Gandalf will you make sure me and (y/n)  both come back, I know she wants to go on an adventure it’s probably her mother shining in her as I am told, but… I am not going.” Gandalf sighed and Y/n walked away head hung low.
As she walked out of the billiard room, she heard Balin say. “I believe we have lost our burglar, but we have 14 which is better.” She smiled at him and went to sit on the stool by the fire. After staring at it for a couple of minutes all the dwarves came in and started to sing.
Far over the misty mountain cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day.
To seek our pale enchanted gold.
Y/n had loved the singing of the dwarves. It was so peaceful and calm. She also remembered this tale, her mother used to sing it when she was younger, and she would always laugh when she tried to do a very deep voice.
The dwarves of yore made mighty spells.
While hammers fell like ringing bells
In place deep, where dark things sleep.
In hallow halls beneath the fells
Bilbo could hear the singing from the billiard room, he was thinking of dragons and fire and gold. Then a fire lit inside him and he wanted to hold a sword instead of a walking stick. Then he shook his head, he was being silly.
For ancient kings and elvish lord
There many a gleaming golden hoard
They shaped a wrought, and light they caught.
To hide in gems on the hilt of sword
On silver necklaces, they strung
The flowering stars on crowns they hung.
The dragon fire in twisted wire
They meshed the light of moon and sun.
Far over the misty mountain cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away ere break of day.
To find our long-forgotten gold.
By the end of the song, Y/n and Bilbo were fast asleep. Gandalf pulled on a blanket over Bilbo, while Thorin picked up Y/n bridal style and placed her on the sofa in front of the fire, kicking Bofur off it. Then he leaned over the girl's sleeping body and kissed her forehead.

Masterlist
Prologue-
As (Y/N) sits in quiet reflection, memories of her journey with Thorin's Company flood her mind. Among the trials and triumphs, one memory shines the brightest: the moment she met Kili, her husband. From the perilous paths of Middle-earth to the shadows of Erebor, their love endured as a beacon of hope amidst darkness. Now, as she reminisces, (Y/N) finds solace in the enduring power of their love, a testament to the twists of fate that brought them together.
TW- mentions of violence and death
Words- 536
King Thranduil and Queen Namath gazed fondly at their two children frolicking in the fields, their laughter carried on the wind as they chased each other with wooden swords. The sunlight played with their hair: the older brother's locks shimmered like freshly harvested wheat, while his younger sister's cascaded in a captivating (h/c), brushing just below her shoulders.
The girl, a unique blend of her parents' lineages—her mother a dwarf, her father an elf—stood out among her kin. Legolas, the older sibling, cast a warm smile at his sister as she tumbled over a protruding tree root, her (e/c) eyes peering through a curtain of (h/c) strands. Suddenly, with a burst of determination, she dashed to a nearby table and seized a bow, swiftly taking aim and losing an arrow toward her brother, who narrowly evaded the shot.
"Hey Y/n, that's hardly fair!" Legolas protested, his sister having received the bow and sword, both oversized for her, as gifts for her thirteenth birthday. Before Legolas could intervene, a piercing scream pierced the tranquillity, drawing the family's attention. Dread settled upon Thranduil as he witnessed a band of orcs emerge, seizing his beloved queen. Reacting swiftly, he dashed towards his children, shielding them from the unfolding horror.
"Legolas, take your sister and flee!" Thranduil's command cut through the chaos, urgency lacing his words. With (y/n) in his arms, Legolas raced towards safety, the weight of responsibility heavy upon his young shoulders. Despite (y/n)'s protests, Legolas pressed on, their desperate flight only halting once they reached the sanctuary of the forest, far from the carnage.
"Legolas, please, let me go back!" (Y/n) implored as she was set down, her heart torn between fear and determination. Ignoring her brother's pleas, she retraced her steps to retrieve her weapons, only to lose her way in the confusion. A deafening crash shattered the silence, propelling her towards the distant glow of a lone light amidst the gathering darkness.
Emerging from the forest's embrace, (Y/n) beheld a scene of devastation, smoke billowing in the distance. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she grappled with the enormity of her loss, her world suddenly fragmented and unfamiliar.
After what felt like an eternity of aimless wandering, her small feet aching and her spirit weary, ( y/n) stumbled upon a quaint green door framed by a charming garden. Summoning her courage, she knocked hesitantly, tears still staining her cheeks.
A kindly face appeared, concern etched upon its features, as the man beheld the dishevelled child before him. "Oh, little one, what troubles you so?" he inquired gently, crouching to her level. (y/n) poured out her heart, her voice quivering with grief and uncertainty.
Moved by compassion, the man enveloped her in a comforting embrace, offering solace amidst her despair. "Fear not, dear child. You shall stay with me until your family returns," he assured her, his heart touched by her plight.
Introducing herself as Y/n, a mixture of dwarf and elf blood, she found solace in the man's warmth, her hand clasped in his. "My name is Bilbo," he replied with a smile, leading her into his home, where she found refuge and a temporary respite from her sorrow, a haven amidst the storms of life.
