pre-fonv bio: ladybird jones was born altrese yvonne jackson on june 3rd, 2253 in freeside where she lived with her parents, chuck and linette and her older brother, freddie. her family moved from freeside to new reno when yvonne was 9 years old. her father took up a job as a manufacturer at new reno arms and taught her everything he knew about guns, while her brother taught her how to fight and defend herself. 

once she was of age, yvonne worked as a waitress-turned-dancer at the shark club under the name ladybird. she caught the attention of blondie--a skimmer for the desperado casino and member of the mordino family--whom she eventually became engaged to. unfortunately, their love didn’t last long and ladybird found herself in a lot of trouble with the mordinos after threatening blondie for cheating on her with another dancer.

fleeing reno, she headed to new vegas where she took up a job as a waitress at the vikki and vance casino in primm. the waitressing gig was short—she quickly found out courier and mercenary work paid far better and applied to work as a courier for the mojave express.
