☀️Pond Giant☀️

The world was quiet here. Not the silence of danger, not the breathless pause before a hunt, but something gentler. Still. Like the universe had finally remembered how to breathe.

Behind him, carved into the face of a moss-covered cliff, was the massive stone visage of an Angel. The features were weathered but unmistakable, eyes staring into nothing, or seeing all too much. Dean was not aware of it yet. Or maybe he had and just didn’t want to look.

He squinted at the water instead, watching a dragonfly skate across it. There was something almost holy about evenings like this. Like time folded in on itself and let him pretend he wasn’t carrying a war on his shoulders.

"I wish you were here," he murmured.

The breeze caught the words and took them across the pond. Dean rubbed his thumb over the handle of his fishing pole, jaw tight. He hadn’t said Cas’s name in weeks. Not out loud. Not since -

He cleared his throat.

Fishing helped. It slowed things down. Gave his hands something to do while his mind wandered. Let him believe, just for a moment, that there was something better coming. Something quieter. A future, maybe.

The pole jerked slightly. He reeled in, but it was just a snag. Nothing on the other end. Still, he smiled faintly.

Above him, the giant stone face of the Angel remained still, but in the sunlight, the moss seemed to shimmer like grace itself.

Dean cast the line again and leaned back on his elbows, eyes half-closed.

"I’ll wait," he said into the warm breeze.

One of my favorite Coldflash things that I think should get more love is the idea that Len loves Central City as much as Barry does and that’s why he’s lowkey (at least he thinks he’s being lowkey) okay with the Flash doing what he does to keep the city safe.

Like I definitely want to see them doing more little city things together. Walking around cool historic neighborhoods. Waiting in line for that one bakery to open that has the best donuts but you can only get them hot out of the oven on Saturday mornings. Accidentally running into each other at the monthly art walk. Tipping that one really good guitar player who busks outside the bus station. Playing chess in the park. Pls give me more cute city kids in love.

The more I get into iwtv, the more I understand Lestat and Armand. Louis is ruin-your-life-level-crash-out worthy.

Don’t know if it’s Jacob’s face or the way he carries craziness behind his eyes to show off Louis’s fight to keep himself in check, but either way, it digs under the skin. And if I were a fictional vampire in the Anne Rice universe, I too would want mister golden hole. Especially after the book dropped and he sent out a cocky, telepathic messages telling folks knuck if you buck.

Getting kidnapped as a superhero is rather embarrassing, but at least you were certain that your friends would rescue you. Which is why it came as a massive shock to you to see one of your villains bust the door of you cell open and unlock your restraints.

also can i just say i feel like considering how often it comes up, the show does not make enough of a big deal of the sheer number of times barry has had everyone in his life refuse to believe him when he tells them something, only for him to be proven right EVERY SINGLE TIME

like with his mother’s murder, man in yellow, blah blah. sure, i can forgive that. i can see why people would disregard that at the time. also get why he was so angry about it. both sides were justified on that one

but then with devoe, whose plan largely hinges on discrediting barry and making him appear paranoid and unhinged, everyone ignores barry’s instincts and tells him to back off and refuses to listen to him. then when devoe admits what he’s up to and they all realize he’s telling the truth, barry forgives them all IMMEDIATELY, which. given his history, i feel like he… would not do that? like he was so bitter towards joe for so many years for not believing him about nora’s murder but he INSTANTLY forgives his friends and family for not listening to his instincts about devoe? okay. i feel like surely he would still have a complex about this. people thought he was traumatised and imagining things for 15 years, it was clearly a huge point of contention between him and joe for a long time, they had BIG fights about it in the pilot. i feel like this would bring back a lot of those old feelings, no matter how zen and chill barry supposedly is after his stint in the speedforce, but whatever, we’re letting it slide this time i get

but by the time we get to season 6 with mirror iris where once again, everyone thinks barry is crazy and unhinged when he claims his wife has been replaced by a doppelganger, i’m steaming on his behalf. by this point i would never let this go, if anyone ever doubted me for a second about literally anything i’d be like HEY REMEMBER ALL THE OTHER TIMES YOU THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY AND DIDN’T BELIEVE ME?? like genuinely im seething for him. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS MAN. STOP BOOING HIM, HE’S RIGHT
