Ohhh did I tell you how I was cuddling naked with someone for at least two hours while watching youtube with music and just switching between only touching to soft kisses and heavier making out? And how I felt so relaxed and entranced and my skin was on fire.

I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned “forever” into the only acceptable definition of success.
Like… if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, it’s a “failed” business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you don’t actually want to keep doing that, you’re a “failed” writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, it’s a “failed” marriage.
The only acceptable “win condition” is “you keep doing that thing forever”. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a “real” friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a “phase” - or, alternatively, a “pity” that you don’t do that thing any more. A fandom is “dying” because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.
I just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And it’s okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success… I don’t think that’s doing us any good at all.

pillows, cold feet, hair stuck on my back
blanket wrapped around me like I'm back
in her womb.
but all i do is hate it all
i hate waking up so late
i hate knowing the fact that im so late
i can't catch up with everybody now
i feel so dumb
i feel so useless
i don't like how i smell
i don't like how my hair is all sticky
i don't like how my room is all dirty
there's this smell in my room as if somethings rotting
i guess it's me.
my body is aching and i don't know if it's for
touch or my muscles have stopped working
way before i got to know.
i haven't done anything special since the last two years.
but i honestly don't remember what i was doing since the last 17 years.
i don't remember anything.
i don't remember coming back to home.
i don't remember happiness.
im 19 and right now i feel passionate about nothing.
i don't know if i want this degree.
i don't if im ever gonna leave this house.
i don't know if i wanna wake up tomorrow.
it's so hard to feel pain running through your entire body and you wanna scream and cry
but all your body allows you to do is sit,
feel nothing
count the hair falling off your scalp.
wonder how 2 sandwiches a day is keeping you
alive.
the cracked skin on your knees
the bruises on your wrist.
the hair on your legs.
it's not disgusting.
i think it's the only thing making me feel more
human these days.
i want someone to make it all go away
for me.
i don't even know if i have a "someone” for me.
im too tired to do it all by myself.
sleep.

im so tired of reliving the same day, im addicted to little things and they take up my entire day, words make me so upset, people make me so mad, my body is literally decaying at this point. idk how to have a life anymore and the fact that I've gotten so comfortable with it.

I've decided to romanticize my
way thru life "oh bladder water you
fall on the white stone like glitter
providing me serenity"

the fact that we romanticize
putting someone else's needs
over ours and calling it love is so
cruel, so unrealistic, that's the
worst thing you can ask for and it
won't even seem wrong to them,
because then it kind of becomes a
compulsion, stop settling for less
love.

the reason you were able to read more and do more activities in a day when you were a kid than you do as an adult isn’t because you got stupider, it’s because as a child you generally had your base needs taken care of and your schedule provided to you, so you didn’t have to use as much of your mental and physical energy on planning, life maintenance (ie food and administrative tasks), and general executive function. of course you could focus on reading a novel in two days, somebody else made your lunches and you never thought about phone bills and you didn’t even have to decide for yourself when to take a bath. c’mon
