Al and Lucifer would totally be messed in different ways, but I could really see Lucifer becoming more confident and happy with all the support he'd get. He'd still feel othered and different, but he'd have multiple people that care about him because of himself, not who he is or what he represents. (AKA he feels comfortable being a little Silly kinda like Charlie. Also he'd TOTALLY make little ducks of everyone)
Rosie's cannibal colony would gain even more protection and likely be even safer with people knowing that it was protected not just by her (and Alastor? They seem close enough in the show that he'd help if she asked) but now by all 4 of them. Maybe the folks staying at the hotel would take field trips there to get accustomed to nonviolence/higher levels of politeness?
LOVE the idea that Rosie and Lucifer would get to just chill and relax. They'd totally have their Old Godsip moments but I bet they'd also be able to chill with tea and stuff xD i bet there would be a moment early on where Lucifer sees how soft (mostly?) Alastor is around Rosie and that's when he's like "yeah, this will work out :)"
Also just...
Lucifer: I'm sorry I haven't been there for you during the last 7 years, I want to help make up for my distance, if you'll let me
Charlie: :)!
Lucifer: you shall never feel parentless again, because guess what? Now you have 4 parents!
Charlie: ?!
I went to sleep and now I woke up and now I am extra appreciative you talk with me about it xD <3
Oh absolutely!! It will still not erase all the trauma and Hell is still will be hell, but having people that support him and is there for him helps tremendously!! (speaking of insecurities, I would imagine Lucifer might also feel like the rug will be pulled under him and he is a bother to people, but unlike Al, he will pull away, giving them space... too much space just in case they are starting getting done with him!!)
(now I need the secret insecurities from Rosie and Lilith, come on, girls, one of you def have something you are still torn about!!)
Man I love Cannibal Town, despite being blood thirsty, they are all so chill and polite and I am 99% sure them eating each other is consensual!! And Lucifer really likes the vibes from this place, he can deal with flash eating, it's the lesser of the evils XD
kIHHJ Imagine Lucifer meets Rosie for the first time with Alastor around. They were JUST bickering about something silly, so seeing him so lax with someone would be a Suprise xD He would suspect her being as sadistic, but NOPE she is cheerful and kind, but have teeth😏
I imagine Rosie and Alastor are the gossip girls, loving discussing the fresh dirt and news. Lucifer might not be as hungry for fresh gossip, but it's entertaining throwing a snarky comment or two. Plus with how out of touch he is with his people, having Rosie who would just lay him things as they are is nice! I just love this whole ruling mess cause despite everything Lucifer is the head honcho, but Lilith is a strong figure and then we'll have Alastor and Rosie, who are like councillors and executers XD
Also I NEED the shared 'Ugh, Susan' moment between the all four of them XD
Lucifer: CHARLIE, your mom is back!!
Lilith: :)
Charlie: :O :D!!!
Lucifer: Also these bitches are too your mom and dad now!! *pulls Alastor and Rosie out of his pocket*
Rosie: :D
Alastor: AhA! So you admit it after all.
Lucifer: Do NOT make me put you back into the pocket!
Charlie: O___O

BEHOLD..... THE LONG AWAITED KURDISTAN INTRO POST (wow tumblr preview looks like ass pls click on it)
He is very charming and affable, and can make anyone feel welcome. Even around people he dislikes, he remains friendly; however, his amicability gains an edge of passive-aggressiveness and hostile snark. He's also incredibly tough and proud, and isn't afraid to show it.
Fun Facts:
Married to the mountains
Brags about Saladin whenever he gets the chance
Can be extremely stubborn
Had a pet fox in the past; it attacked Iran on multiple occasions
Pals with Afghanistan! (Kurdistan🤜dealing with Iran🤛Afghanistan)
Deeply distrustful of others
Ive been planning this post for a while and what better time to post it than Day 10 of @aphasiaweek for OCs!
Notes and References:
The left half is mostly Kurdistan's interactions with the four main countries (Iraq, Turkey, Iran, Syria) his ppl are spread across- as you can imagine, he doesn't get on particularly well with any of them.
Foxes are a widely recurring element in Kurdish folklore as trickster figures who defeat much more powerful opponents; the fox furry thing is an inside joke between me and my friend LOL
Kurdistanball is holding a dolma! Dolmas are stuffed dishes, commonly made by wrapping leaves around the filling. They're commonly found in the cuisines of the Balkans, South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Levant.
Bijî bijî means "Long live ...!" and it would make more sense if Kurdistanball said "bijî bijî Kurdistan" (cuz bijî bijî by itself doesnt really make any sense) but I ran out of room 😔
Roasted sunflower seeds are a popular treat in the region, especially in the Levant!
The lady in white is a tentative design for Miss Yazidi/Miletê Tawûsê Melek! Yazidi clothes are just so beautiful.... She'll prbly pop up with Miss Assyria later ^^
I share this Kurdistan OC, Iraq OC, Syria OC (mentioned), and Yazidi OC with @hammyletto!!

What’s Egypt and Syria’s relationship like in modern day?
For the most part they share a lot of similar sentiments towards everyone else (exasperation and facepalming) so they tend to agree in a lot of opinions but have drastically different personalities and methodologies for getting what they want. Egypt acknowledges Syria as a contemporary of his mother and has some respect to him for that (along with other cool stuff Syria did in his past) but honestly? like most people, he likes Syria more than Syria likes him back lol
Egypt's... tendency to think of himself as the main character of the Middle East and resulting massive ego is a bit of sticking point in their relationship, which came into focus during the United Arab Republic. That whole phase revealed a lot of their differences and disagreements and put their relationship under heavy strain but nowadays i think they're aight (or as aight Syria can be with anyone lol)

My Problem With Aph Egypt (a casual discussion):
Disclaimers:
This post is not directed toward Egyptian fans personifying their country, it touches canon Egypt on the first place, then Fanon, I hope you can read this with an open mind.
And listen, I get it we all prefer when fans stay true to canon, I know I do too, in other shows, but there's certainly exceptions, and Hetalia in general is, but Egy is even more, they done my boy dirty.
The personification of Egypt (Hws Egypt) doesn't annoy me as a character, like I really don't mind the cute emotionless/mute kid troupe and I'm glad that other people enjoy him!
And i repeat, this is my problem and personal opinion. (and there are some rare occasions where i enjoy fanon Egy)
I'm not Egyptian myself, i'm half Arab and my perspective comes from there. (but if my fellows Egytians Hetalians have any reproach to me, i'm all ears)
My personal beef has to do with the fact he is supposed to represent Egypt as a nation, and I searched my mind far and deep to find valid reasons backing his characterization but still nothing? I'm even starting to question some of my basic beliefs lol. But one thing is sure the nation does not present itself like this to me (a north African), I'm not trying to be overdramatic nor say that my experiences and views should be generalized! but hear me out;
From one hand, I try to understand, Hidekazu Himaruya is a Japanese individual that probably sees Egypt from the tourist/outsider lenses, maybe Egyptians can be shy around him and failed to communicate with him on instances that he may have met them, supposing that he had traveled to Egypt (I'm not following him on socials, this is purely Hypothetical) or met Egyptians Diaspora/in foreign countries. A lot of tourists can get the wrong impression from locals! this is quite common.
Atleast we can see his train of thoughts here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is after all the author's own interpretation and I can't just assume what was in his mind at the time, how well he knows the country or read his history and what prompted him to make him so young, and from what sources he got his information. Nor do I want to misread his intentions either. Or if he willingly use these stereotypes which appear harmless at first glance (they could completely be!) but...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the two mains features of Egypt, who's not a main character so we have seen little of him overall, rub me the wrong way for the following reasons;
His emotionless character/ or lack of character: most Hetalia characters have multidimensional personalities, even characters who'd appear at first glance to be stoic and cold evolve as we progress in the series, (Japan, England, Germany..etc) we get to see different sides of their character and that's really interesting, most other characters are lively and bubbly (positive depictions of stereotypes) which is a good thing in Hetalia, right? But when it comes to Egypt, it feels like the creator didn't know what to do with him, he looks emotionless but not because that's his character, and more like he's empty.
Like take the instance of the scene with Greece and Egypt under the ottoman empire, both Egypt and Greece are supposedly pretty stoic young personas but while Greece went ahead and expressed his opinions and showed some intelect, Egypt just stood there as a support character for the scene. (Other than jumping up to obey the ottoman empire's orders)
Tumblr media
Another Example is a more recent comic talking about the Italian bros trying to fix some Roman ruins where they called Egypt for help and the guy (while fashionably dressed) came, no word uttered, showed a lot of incompetence. Both Egypt and Romano have Mediterranean attitudes with the rbf/brf, but Romano was shown to be more expressive while Egy is just an accessory/tool in the story, other than him getting a bit stressed and embarrassed, which is cute, but not enough. especially in comparison with other side characters, heck some extra side characters have shown to have more depth, like human Cameos! (Those aren't even nations)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can go on with the examples, since I always look forward for an Egypt apparition, but helas I always end up dejected and disappointed, this can be quite frustrating for Arabs who only have Egypt to relate to, and while I prefer distancing myself from anime characters, I still feel bad for how little effort was put into him. With both examples he is literally given the personality of an overgrown child (I'll get to why it is bad later)
And look, there's nothing bad with giving Egypt a rbf, a lot of our Mediterranean people and Arabs have it in them, so do some Egyptians, that could be okay. But one should keep in mind that when it comes hand in hand with a terrible lack of personality, it'd appear as a reminder of the Orientalism movement (in paintings and art but not only), wiki intro:
Tumblr media
where Arabs, especially women, where pictured to always be sad and frowning pretty things, always carrying around that scrawl, men had different interpretations, some more racist than others but the scrawl/emotionless figure mostly remained, If you do find yourself leaning ontoward this kind of profiles or stereotypes then that could be bad.
I could talk about Orientalism in a separate post, you can also search about it yourself( to avoid hitting too close to home), a big part of it aimed to dehumanize the native populations, they were false personifications that aimed to give these colonized/Enemy lands a certain image that wasn't exactly positive. (and certainly fictional + suggestive.)
Tumblr media
Seeing sad boy Egypt trope instantly remind me of this, and it makes me very uncomfortable, I won't blame you for my own discomfort, especially if you were doing this unintentionally! but atleast now you know. I'm also not saying either that we should burn all Orientalism era paintings and dance on Orientalist painters graves, sometimes I would take inspiration from these, we all like Alf Layla wa layla vibes (1000 Arabian nights) but there should be a limit to how much we indulge in this (even us as Arabs!) especially considering that orientalism isn't a compltely dead movement....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And let me make this clear, yes, Arabs do feel sadness, sorrow and pain, if your aim is to show the depression some of our countries are living, then that's okay, they are allowed to be sad and openly display it, there's a pride in sadness in this house! It suffice to look at our music, poetry and literature and if you want to picture this particular aspect of our culture then that's okay. (if it's a form of empowering)
But Arabs and Egyptians in particular also feel happiness, Joy ,Anger, grief! They are funny, prideful, cocky, sassy, sarcastic, smart, dumb, they are loud, lively, they can be vicious and cowardly, brave and strong willed, dull and boring, fresh and entertaining, they are nerds, bookworms, they can't help but joke in the most critical situations, they are modest and friendly, like the rest of the world! They have a long and large panoply of different character traits that could make Egypt so much more interesting! and...more human?
But if you (or Hima) want to make him calm, reserved and composed, okay that's fine, I can work with that, but at least don't make him ...mute? Like Egypt prob doesn't even have a voice actor? Fr Dude?
Anything but that awkward 2.0 Ancient Egypt. (literally just google Hetalia Egypt)
(i didn't want to say it...but all of this also can have to do with present day racist negative stereotypes...)
youtube
(just leaving this here)
2) Why is he so young? : This is a whole other problem by itself. Like we can talk about Egypt's history for years but it's enough to say that he was the capital of the Fatimid dynasty and Mamluk Sultanate before the ottoman Empire even came into the picture? So why...is he a kid when Turkey took care of him? (barely grew since ancient Egypt days?) And why is he personified as Turkey's literal side kick ( in fanon too) when ,last time I checked, he kinda hated turkey's guts then and wanted him off?
okay fine yeah okay, I'll try to understand, making huge mental gymnastics, but then... Why is he still so effing young in recent years? What does that even mean? Look at how young he was alongside Russia? Is this post independence! Egypt? Are you kidding me?
Tumblr media
Iike okay, I get it the Nation's physicaal age is related to many factors that don't particularly have to do with the nation's history, and it's so confusing in Hetalia's country verse, since we got China looking so damn young, while he is, you know, China! (An immortal being historically older than most of the others)
But still, two wrongs doesn't make a right! You don't pick and choose who gets to grow older and coincidentally it's an imperialist power, like what do you mean Turkey had this growth spurt around the time he became an empire? (Because what other explanation do you have?) What will become of him when he loses the territories he controlled? Shrink? (Same with other colonizers)
I also feel uneasy when the ottoman empire is credited for things his territories have done (this also goes to the fandom, I mean some racist turks already do this irl too) why does this only work with him but not with the other canon countries? (a lot of colonies are given credit where it's due while Mena is just: Turkey did it) kinda unfair and plays into some serious propaganda.
Like the paternity of the colonizers, this point is not particular to Egy, it sickens me in general when , very poorly researched perspectives, are shared about colonies, depicting them as young, super young chibis even! This pushes me to question the author/artist motives in their work, the idea they are coming from and it's implications.
What do you mean by: a country was so young before the colonizer found them and took care of them? (Just tell me dear, don't you see the potentially problematic thesis we can write about this topic?)
I'll leave it at this for now, but I'm really not done ugh
(all pics are Himaruya's, credit from @/hetascanlations!)

Opinion
Since you asked, I can list a few opinions and headcanons here :D
I wrote them on a rush and on my phone so I am sorry if It was messy.
_Theories and headcanons about Egypt_
1. Egypt didn’t remember his mother or his ancient origins (neither pharonic nor greek nor roman) until France and the french campaigne came and explored around in 1798.
France came, met a young personification of 16 or 17 years old (maybe younger) and asked him if he could help the scientists and artists of the campaigne decipher the weird drawings on the wall. France gets surprised when the boy shakes his head and shows quiet wonder at the places and the drawings. “How could a personification not know his past?” left France wondering while Egypt gazed at the drawings and remembered nothing about them.
The truth was that Egypt was born shortly before his mother’s death (not sure if Ancient Egypt died when Egypt became Arabic or in the middle of late antiquity becausd Egypt was more Roman than Pharonic in late antiquity) and he briefly saw his mother before the landscape changed entirely and the culture started to lose its Egyptian roots.
He grew up to believe he was Arabic but foreign to the Arabs, he used to speak a different language as a baby but in time came to speak Arabic like his bosses.
Egypt only got to learn about his mother and his past (ancient Egyptian, greek and roman past) through the many discoveries that came after the french campaigne.
That is why he is detached from his ancient roots.
2. All through his life he didn’t think much of having a mother or father, but as the discoveries became more (especially in the beginning 20th century, a time of literary renaissance and national uprisings against the British occupation ) , he learnt that his mother was amazing and he grew prouder of her and prouder of his past.
3. Egypt in modern times feels insecure of his low status as a country and wishes he was as amazing as his mother or yearns for the time when the country was a kingdom (1922-1953 AD). So, as a way to try to be cooler and better, he is trying to be like America in a clumsy way (That is actually true, a lot of Egyptians feel ashamed of their country and try to be more american. Not just the people, the government is trying many american and european theories and they fall short in doing any progress using them), poor guy ends feeling more insecure of himself.
4. Egypt actually isn’t a silent and mysterious person, he is very loud, welcoming and friendly, a family person and faces messing up his goals with jokes and smiles despite lamenting his silly behaviour. He is only silent around strangers (foreigners, not his people. His people are not strangers to him.) because he feels awkward and uncomfortable around them unless they were tourists. If the strangers were tourists, he would be eager to show them around, explain things about ancient sites, tell them stories and tell them how lovely his country is.
5. If America were to see how messy Egypt’s way of life is, he would be horrified.
6. Egypt is more Arabic than ancient Egyptian in his culture, but if you ask him, he will say he is egyptian not arabic.
7. Egypt’s culture and history are way deeper than his knowledge of them. They are way deeper than the academic knowledge of them. (That is because academic knowledge on Egypt is very scattered and varies widely in the many fields of knowledge.)
You are free to share or not share these headcanons feyna because some of them may sound political so I apologize because it wasn’t meant to be that way. I pose these headcanons as an Egyptian myself so I am not a foreigner judging a foreign culture, I live there.
Hima’s presentation of Egypt only shows how he feels about Egypt from some light reading, not how Egypt actually is, which is understandable.
I’m sorry this was long and frustrating, I hope I helped you learn something new :D
P. S: I like your writing and headcanons, keep being awesome!
