1 kbs news behind the scenes

being on kbs news was the moment where it really sunk in with the boys that they were famous. it was a big goddamn deal for them as shown by the shout-outs to their parents. and tae turned to jk for physical reassurance on the way to the studio. after, as they were exiting the building, tk started getting clingy before springing apart when they realized the cameras were still on them.

2 their encyclopedic knowledge of each other

not only do they know minute details about each other, they're more than willing to share with the class. it's adorable how they call each other out on things like tae telling everyone he's allergic to beans (he's not, claims jk in a run ep, he just doesn't want to eat them), or tae broadcasting jk's love of white wine (dykm). tae also knows how jk likes his drinks and helps him top his drink off without even looking (fdp 2022). jk takes tae's steak off his plate to cut it up (fdp 2022). what's even cuter is that many times no one even asks but they volunteer information like when they share about the fortune teller or their playing dress up on a trip (v.lives).

3 the amount of care that jk takes when it comes to tae

jk's said that he gives up on things easily but when he really wants to do something he gives it his all. look at the time he took and the amount of care over the snow globe he made for tae (in one of the winter packages). when he cooked for tae in one of the cutest its2 moments, his own version looked delicious but lackluster compared to the feast he whipped up for tae.

4 tae's hands

tae has the habit of reaching forward when he's making a point he's interested in. watch the way he reaches in jk's direction with his palms facing down when he mentions jk in a group conversation. or the way he pulls at jk's arms (3J+tae vlive in ptd lv when jk tries to leave to shower, gda 2020, proof live onstage at kbs music show).

1. in honor of left and right: in many of their cutest moments, tae is sitting on the left and jk is on the right (from the audience perspective). thinking of gda 2020, the be group interview, the documentary watch party in 2020, festa dinner 2022 and, of course, the hs concert.

men tend to focus on their dominant side. this places tae on jk's right and jk on tae's left. make of that what you will since tae is ambidextrous.

other quick-hit thoughts:

2. i don't think there's merit to tae-pbg rumors after paris. if anything (at all), it'd be one-sided heart eyes from pbg. tae posted one picture of them together and didn't even tag pbg. ngl the 50 photo dump (from pbg to tae) is a bit weird

don't think there's any truth in tae-bp j or jk-bp l either. tae barely interacted with bp l the whole time. not how you'd act around your bestie's girl or your girl's bestie. them living their best lives pole-dancing tho? 100

3. from the way he's tagged him on insta, visited him on set and the way they're posing in the its friend.cation poster, cws seems to be one of tae's closest friends. i love that cws only follows jk on insta

4. tae visiting jh on the more mv set and bringing waffles is too cute. it's always seemed (to me) like amongst the vegas quad, jm and jk are besties while tae and jh are besties. total friendship goals

maybe it's placing too much emphasis on one singular moment but the moment that cemented the likelihood of tk as a couple and not j*k*k for me was during the be album dinner meeting 2008** about the lgo mv. at the end of the video, jm is clearly gesturing for a box of corn dogs. jk picks up a box and instead of passing it over to jm, he carries it back to his seat and opens the box angled towards tae

the ptd lv clip of tae asking only jk for a bottle of water (and pouting when he doesn't get it) has the same vibe. tae honey, you have 4 hyungs+jm walking around on stage who would gladly pass you a bottle

earlier in the same 2008** video, tae gets overwhelmed and curls his body inwards towards jk at one point as he tries to consolidate his thoughts. it reminds me of s.w.z. muster where tae thinks he forgot his phone and immediately runs to jk

5. it could have been complete bs when they talked about it in their v.live but the idea of tae and jk practicing their card throwing for their grammys performance through cracked open doors while jk was sick made my heart smile. the notion of tae just wanting to be around jk is so sweet. also sweet: tae waiting for jh and jk to watch the ss concert

the maknae line clearly has no boundaries but the way jk's hand reaches out to grab tae's jacket (that's being held right in front of his crotch) without tae so much as flinching despite the sharp movement towards him is telling. all the guys are struggling with the jackets but jk keeps his eyes on tae the whole time even after they move apart

tae tends to take pictures where he's posing really closely with other people. his lgg pictures come to mind. it seems important to him to stress that there wasn't any real flirting going on. later in the video, tae makes sure to make eye contact with someone off-screen when he says that he didn't say anything of substance to or at the start of the performance. i think he says the same thing later in the v.live too

6. do you know me: i could replay tae's smile at jk when jk realizes tae has beer in his fridge on loop

jk based his answers to the fridge questions on each member's personal preferences (like jin not liking cold foods). the inference: tae doesn't drink/like beer - which the members seem to acknowledge - so there's no reason for him to have it in his fridge. jk's reaction read a bit like he's the one who left the beer in tae's fridge and then completely forgot about it

jk seemed more excited about getting the beer question correct than concerned about getting other questions like jm's solo trip and restaurant review or jin's ice-cream questions wrong

from the way everyone was freaking the fuck out about tae taking pictures with the model at the club, i half expected him to be grinding all up on some guy on the dance floor.

and idk which en- kid the rumors about jk were about but the eldest 2 are only 20. the rest are solidly in their teens.

anything is possible. maybe tae and the model(s) went back to the hotel for a midnight in paris. maybe jk really is dating someone who can't even consent in sk. maybe joon knocked up one - or more - of the bp girls and that's why he's on a break (just don't call it a hiatus). maybe we're wrong and tk aren't together. maybe we're right and have been right all along.

anything is possible. believe what you want but in the words of the queen of receipts herself: you need to calm down.

this is childish but rolling my eyes at cult member pbg going to paris(?) with tae. waiting for the jk + tae + bp l + bp j love square rumors to start any time now.

personal feelings about charlie p aside, l&r is heaps better than that mess of a song that will almost definitely be #1 on next week's bb chart. getting klr+jb - stay or dl - levitating vibes from l&r.

in other news: top-line quick hit thoughts about festa dinner

the powers that be at h-y-b-e (fka and interchangeably referred to as bh) gambled with them getting an exemption and lost. there's still a chance for it in light of the busan expo bid and the existing political pressure but the clock's ticking down

hindsight is 20/20 but to think that they could still have gone on their break some time in 2019 and been done with it by around now (per what yg insinuated). no, i don't hold the same view about the e word, see point above. on the bright side, it looks like tae and jk have gotten a lot closer, or at least become far more open, since the start of 2019

in order of who comes across as least in favor of the break to the most (not a hiatus in the one d sense as everyone from the ceo to the janitor of h-y-b-e has reiterated): jin, jm, jh, yg, jk/tae, nj

think this was quite clearly backed up by who spoke out after the dinner and who remained quiet. a note: i don't think jh and jm like it but they're pragmatic and driven enough to take the time for self-improvement

i won't entertain questions about jik**k or other ships within the group. i'm ot7 all the way and i just don't see jik**k (or vm) the same way i see tk even if i absolutely adore jm and the friendship the entire maknae line has. let me be clear: i am not a solo or an anti, and won't condone that behavior. questions and freaking out about other ships within ㅂㅌㅅ will be promptly deleted with the utmost glee.

i'll do my best to answer questions and interact. however, this is primarily a space for me to sort out my thoughts after the festa dinner party as well as what that means for tk and the content i've been consuming to date. bottom line: it's not you, it's me.

i'm posting primarily about tk. i'm not on other sns so go ahead and send links about tk gossip (within reason) from reputable sources

like many tkers, yes, i do think they're in a romantic relationship. unlike the majority of tkers, i don't think they've been together since pre-debut or as teens

i think that there were quite possibly feelings, at least on jk's part, when they were young but while i think tae has always had a soft spot for jk, i don't think tae reciprocated fully until circa 2019. my guess is that they weren't together-together until some point in 2020. however, as potus puts it: the state of the union is strong

there's a really good chance that we're very wrong about their relationship. at the end of the day, the only thing i can say with 100% certainty is that these are two people who love each other very much (regardless of the shape that love takes)
