Hour 24: Out of Time
A last web prose chapter to close the storyline out.
Doom is exhausted to find herself back on New Venice again, but the planet itself is a wreck. The party is over.
She needs to find the Doctor who warned her at the start, the one who can save her. Morose, she sits down, and a shadow appears over her, she sees consequence coming for her.
Terri is trying to just close business for the day, when Doom rings. Terri actually acknowledges Doom's time limit, and tells her there must be a target there. The only one Doom can see is herself, and this is what The Doctor tried to warn her of when she arrived as Duke Derek Gamma's ball.
It had only been after firing the staser that she'd remembered that she'd been there before. Not New Venice, that exact moment. She'd only remembered after killing her younger self that other mission, long ago, to deal with a Cauldron Prince, her memory of how it went down now being overwritten by the memory of dying looking up at her own horrified face. This is why her timeline is collapsing.
Terri refuses to violate client confidentiality. Doom recalls encountering various Doctors, Cybermen, Kraals, Slitheen, prisons, space stations, demons and Jackie Tyler. She does reveal to Terri she found someone waiting in the ruins of New Venice. And introduces her to The Doctor.
Despite all her encounters, with River Song and the Eminence of Gris, it turns out she should have stayed on New Venice, the Temporal Anomaly Doom's current existence causes has prevented the TARDIS from taking off. Which is a shame, as he Susan, Ian and Barbara have tickets for Mamma Mia, which Terri is a fan of.
The Doctor studies the the Vortex Manipulator to adjust the Fast Return Switch Doom is pretty sure it doesn't have. His plan is to send her back to shoot her past self before she shoots her past self. Before she can protest this plan, or understand it, The Doctor has sent her back. He takes a second to scold Terri's manners further, and Doom reappears.
Rather than kill herself, she shot her past self in the arm, causing her shot on her past past self to miss, as well as set fire to the curtains, causing the devastation of New Venice.
The Doctor explains the cloaked figure was a Gatherer, feeding off temporal anomalies, and now targeting the one who set this up. Terri.
Terri has taken over, wiping out the Grand Masters and the Assassin's while Doom was busy, angry about never being appreciated. But her victory is short lived, as the cloaked, skull face figure appears, and consumes her.
The Doctor advises she, like Jane Austen, take his advice, and find a different career, and gives her the feather boa Barbara insisted he wear.
Doom watches the TARDIS vanish, and wonder if there might be money to be made in cleaning up his messes.
It's a new day.

Hours 20-23: Dying Hours
4 audio dramas from Big Finish Productions.
Hour 20: Dawn of Everlasting Peace
Terri has no info on the latest target, client refusing to divulge further. A peace treaty is being signed between the Big Four and representatives of 9 galaxies will be there. There's a long queue, and major security arrangements, but Doom gets her Manipulator through via trickery.
She uses an old man to distract an SSS guard so she can sneak in to the delegate housing disguised as a Zeffon, sneaking off as the delegation is guided. Disguised as Representative Zeffon, she is lead to a secret meeting of delegates, and pretends to be Zeffon's cousin to the Mistress of the Sixth Galaxy, and is lead below to find the secret area where her target is, using a hidden panel to travel further below.
Fynix and Zeffon cannot pass the SSS checkpoint, so Doom incapacitates her and sneaks around, and finds homing darts that will be helpful, and pressures Fynix to be quiet.
They are emerging to the surface, where they are held up by the old man's carer disguised as an SSS agent, she reveals the old man is in fact her 3 year old son, Klorin, somehow aged, and he is terrified of SSS. They hide Fynix, Doom disguising as her, and recover Klorin, who has been terrified of all the guards.
Shedding their disguises, Lonett reveals she was trying to save the galaxy and disrupt the signing, and planted bombs to stop the ceremony. The evacuation will then send the delegates to where Doom has set explosions timed for when everyone was supposed to be away. Hearing deputy SSS head Karlton is present, Lonett hopes she can convince him of something, so back in disguise, they sneak into the area again, only to find Fynix has been discovered, so they have to rush down. Klorin aged mysteriously, and Ash Renton, his father and an SSS agent, disappeared.
They meet Karlton in disguise, and request a meeting. Karlton can tell Lonett isn't SSS. Ash had returned from Uranus, disturbed by some discovery, and the next day while playing with Klorin opened a packet which turned out to be a bomb, he threw Klorin to Lonett, the boy aged heavily, and aged to dust. Lonett tells Karlton about the bombs, and after assuring Fynix he'll take care of things, he allows them both to go.
They leave and split up, as Doom's own devices are still armed she reports mission complete to Terri, is ready to let her clock out, finding a 21st century earth mission Doom might like, but also informs her of a new job in the current time and place, Lonett Renton. Doom takes a moment, and accepts the job.
Having now worked out what's going on Doom grabs Lonett and Klorin, and has them return to the lift, evading Fynix, and having Klorin fake Ash's voice to go the very bottom and access the secure chamber by having Lonett psychically shape the holodisguise into Ash to go though, finding as Doom suspected, her target, the SSS master computer, Compuvac.
Doom tries to get Compuvac to predict where she might find the Doctor, but Lorren wants a way to restore Klorin, and reveals the bombs. Compuvac begins both calculating disarmament of Doom's homing darts and analyses Klorin, finding his agong was done via Terranium, and is irreversible. Lorren wants to report everything to Karlton, but Doom reveals she knows now that Karlton is responsible for both hits, having worked out Compuvac would someday calculate the conspiracies existence, indeed Compuvac on hearing this realises it's true, but can't rationalise Karlton ordering its destruction with the fact it is supposed to be its guardian, struggling with the paradox enough the remaining darts will do the rest.
They flee back to the surface, and witness the explosion in the arena, Lorren's bombs not having been disabled in time. Explaining she was hired to kill Lorren, Doom stressed to her that Lorren Renton died in the explosion, and does her a last favour of giving Klorin a proper goodbye from Ash.
Bemoaning the fact she must be going soft, Doom enquires with Terri on the 21st century earth job, being informed it involves a known associate of the Doctor, a woman called Jackie Tyler. Before Terri can tell her what's different about the job, Doom jumps.
Hour 21: A Date with Destiny
Doom is given the minor additional detail that Jackie is being targeted by the Zirconian Claw, a crime family the Lesser Order of Oberon wants to keep on the books, they want Jackie dead as revenge for the Doctor and Rose thwarting a plan.
Jackie is called by her friend Dennis, whose girlfriend has just suddenly dumped him, he invites her to join him at Russolino's, he's worrying he'll be alone forever, admits he's not sating the right things, and while among clear not to expect anything more, she agrees to share a meal at Max's. After handing up, Dennis is surprised by a woman at his door, saying she's his destiny.
Doom's Vortex Manipulator is struggling to track the target, though she practically bumps into her going into Max's.
As Dennis asks the waiter to see if they have a certain wine, Doom sneaking in the kitchens, overhears and comments she taught the little creep that move. Discovered by a waiter, she claims to be a health inspector and convinces them to find her flour, olive oil and a foam based fire extinguisher.
Dennis predicts what Jackie is planning to say about not being comfortable with his recent behaviour, only to reject her notion that men and women can be friends, saying loneliness is all anyone has, desperately clinging to others for some sort of belonging. He then notes Jackie shouldn't be breathing, the Shangra venom in her food should have already taken effect. She starts feeling dizzy as he explains why, and Doom interrupts, counteracting the poison with the fire extinguisher, at which point "Dennis" recognises her, she smacks him over the head, disrupting the holo disguise, and takes Jackie and runs.
Doom and Destiny get into a fight, with weird flirting as well, before Doom causes an explosion on Destiny so they can run, convincing Jackie to come by pretending to be the Doctor. They steal a taxi, Destiny the stealing a pizza bike to chase.
Jackie seems only somewhat convinced of Doom's attempts to prove herself, as Destiny makes contact and tries to convince Doom to give her the kill and join an offshoot Order she and others are trying to form. Doom knocks her off the scooter.
Destiny calls her support, Poe, for Jackie's address.
At Jackie's apartment, she manages to trick Doom into revealing she isn't the Doctor. Doom admits the truth, but she doesn't want to kill Jackie, just to find the Doctor. Managing to fight through the interference, Doom syncs Vortex Manipulators confirming Destiny is nearby, and prepares her trap.
As Destiny is trying to convince Doom to join her outfit, Titania, and revealing Terri never deleted her info, Doom dumps soapy water on her, then flees with Jackie, only going back for Jackie's neighbour, Peggy, who she took hostage, when Jackie promises to put her in touch. She gases Destiny, and steals a tool belt, they then escape to the Powell Estate roof. Doom tries to call someone out, but there's no response, so abseils down with Jackie as Destiny arrives. Then in a playpark, Doom tells Jackie to shoot her.
Destiny finds a wounded Doom and gloats, only for Doom to appear behind her, Jackie had been wearing the holosuit. Destiny still has a trick up her sleeve until Doom makes her lose her cool, and they scuffle, until Jackie uses a gun to tell them to both leave.
Doom convinces Jackie to put down the gun and then pulls her own weapon, but then calls out the source of the interference, the ship containing Zirconium Claw representative Diamante Roxx. He's been using this contract to see who the claw will go into business with, Titania or the Lesser Order of Oberon. Doom shoots Roxx, then declares that by shopping around the Claw had violated their exclusivity contract and thus waived the client protection, the ship leaving indicates the Claw accept this.
Doom has used her primary target to lure out the secondary target, Roxx, as Destiny tries to convince her once more to join her. Doom instead uses a backdoor to dump the power from Destiny's Vortex Manipulator, electrocuting her due to the soapy water, fulfilling her actual contract.
Jackie tells Doom to leave the Doctor alone, and admits in a way she had been using Dennis. Confirming the job done, Terri now deletes Destiny's login, and informs Doom of 3 new contracts, one on a Euzurian tax collector, the Daleks have one on Abslom Daak, and there's one on a Silent. Doom takes the last one, and as soon as she's gone Jackie calls Rose, having her put the Doctor in so she can warn him about Doom.
Hour 22: The Howling Wolves on Xan-Phear
Doom finds herself in a warzone, Terri reminds her the target is Chu'Lac of the Downright Pernicious Chapter of the Order if Kovarian. She's saved by Jeppra, a Tribblish, fighting against the Melch. Commander Frell has for some reason ordered his own men to press an attack rather than retreat, which will cause his troops to be slaughtered.
Doom convinces Jeppra to help her find the target. They get separated from others, and hear the psychic howl of Supreme Commander Elsmoon, welcoming mercenaries, who Doom is masquerading as one of.
Melch General Roach has just ordered his battlecruiser to hold position, when a Silent convinces him to move and attack.
Doom and Jeppra reconvene with Trooper Lan-Say, who has requited feelings for Jeppra, but can't act during war, they also meet with Fettzer who reports the approaching battlecruiser, they escape, but Fettzer is suspicious of Doom.
They try to make their way to a labyrinth beneath a pyramid to hide, but multiple times somehow find their way heading towards the Melch.
Chu-Lac is contacted by another Silent to report on his mission to exacerbate the war and learn the secrets of the Xan-Phear Howl.
Doom tries to access her monocle's vision data, suspecting Silents have manipulated them in the battle. She tries to communicate with Terri, but she is typically unhelpful. Fettzer is increasingly suspicious. With Melch on their heels Fettzer is told to hold while Jeppra tries to find another exit. Lan-Say adds his howl of lament to the eternally reverberating howl throughout Xan-Phear, though Doom hears another familiar sound within it.
Melch burst in, then Doom suddenly finds herself in a Melch execution ceremony, she manages to escape, then tries to find the others, but is cornered by a Silent who interrogates her for her mission and on hearing her mention the Doctor asks if he's there. She is saved by Jeppra, who then fires either at her or a target behind her, knocking her down.
Fettzer tries to persuade Lan-Say that Doom is acting against them, and they start desecrating the labyrinth under "orders" when they finally realise this is off Fettzer blames Doom.
Doom awakens with Jeppra, not wholly convinced by Jeppra's explanation, when they are cornered by Silents.
Silents corner Fettzer and Lan-Say, giving new orders.
Jeppra and Doom run, then finds themselves in the deepest part of the labyrinth. Doom tries to explain the Silents again, and desperately tries to get the images, managing to barely show an image of a Silent. Jeppra, convinced, agrees to help her find Chu'Lac.
Fettzer and Lan-Say make their plan to ambush Doom, and they meet up, Doom can tell Fettzer is ready to kill her, forcing a standoff. Silents appear, and then Jeppra suddenly calls out for Melch support. In the confusion, they take her blaster, but force her along.
They come to a river of spiders, Jeppra is sent across to test if it's safe, when she nearly dies Doom and Lan-Say can't help saving her, and finally manage to persuade everyone of the manipulation. With Melch on their heels, Fettzer opts to hold them off, making amends with Jeppra.
On the surface, and aware the Silents believe they can lure the Doctor out using Doom, and needing to make ground fast, they steal a damaged land cruiser to head for Chu'Lac's base, Jeppra using the noise cancelling traits of her howl to stop the noise impacting them. A Silent inside manipulates them into firing on Tribblish forces and changing course, but Doom realises the two wolves can use their howls to stop themselves hearing it next time it instructs them, and imprison it, but realise their own weapons were taken during that period.
Now recognising the Silents hope to use the Howl of Xan-Phear to render the Doctor forever Silent, Doom hits on a plan of her own. Moments before crashing the land cruiser into Chu'Lac's previously unnoticed base, Jeppra and Lan-Say broadcast the Silence cancelling howl across the planet, and it is picked up and spread by both Tribblish and Melch alike, allowing all to finally recognise the manipulators amongst them.
With 5 minutes to go, the cruiser bursts into the base, and forces from both sides are bursting in to throw off their manipulators. Doom spots Chu'Lac heading for an escape vehicle, but Jeppra and Lan-Say do the honours, leaping on him and eviscerating him.
A new era is coming for Xan-Phear, and Jeppra and Lan-Say intend to mark their union this night, asking Doom to be their guest of honour. Doom is honoured, but can't stay, she's running out of time. Thinking this hour may be her last chance, she checks in with Terri. Sea Devils on Saturn is rejected, and she almost rejects medieval England too, until Terri mentions the presence of Artron Energy.
Hour 23: The Crowd
Doom lands in a ditch outside Canterbury Cathedral. Her target is a 20-strong collective know as The Crowd, exact nature unknown, though Doom notes from photos most look dead already. The Crowd are linked to various disruptions of big business, and multiple clients want them dead. Doom disguises as a knight, and immediately warned off by an equally disguised priest, Doom ignores the woman in disguise until realising she said Doctor, and tackles who she thinks is the man, but is actually Archbishop Thomas Beckett. Suddenly they're surrounded by the Crowd, Doom shooting 6 of them, and a knight in armour appears in armour to force Doom to drop her weapon, though she winds up stunned by Charley. With The Crowd escaping, the knight and Charley go to deal with them.
Doom awakens, and manages to catch half of The Crowd pair known as "The Shabby Couple", disrupting it's attempt to witness the assassination of Beckett, and sees it's staff weapon and a tablet that has records of numerous disasters, essentially it seems The Crowd are voyeurs of various tragedies. She offers to spare Shabs if it leads her to the Doctor, then after being directed to a tavern kills it anyway, ignoring the threats and hoping she can deal with the remaining 13.
Doom kills the laughing murderers, then steals a horse off a drunkard, possibly killing him, and can tell the shadow of death is all around. She has Shab's body as a message.
She arrives at the tavern, disguises as a wench, and spotting the sole alive looking figure from the dossier, assumed to be the leader, goes to hypnotise him with hypno-spray and offers a poisoned mead. Except to doesn't work, he's actually the knight from the fray, more properly known as The Doctor. Doom doesn't believe it at first, horrified she almost killed the one man who can save her, as Charley enters, reporting trouble outside. The Doctor can tell Doom is an assassin, one with flimsy data, but doesn't appear to recognise her personally.
Doom spots 4 of The Crowd going upstairs, and tries to pursue, but The Doctor and Charley set up a field to neutralise her blaster. They want to preserve The Crowd, who are a unique lifeform, and aren't responsible for the disasters, more akin to cosmic rubber neckers, but running out of historical events, are now creating their own Doom refuses to stay put, and chases, while the Doctor observes The Crowd may be taking an interest in her.
The Crowd Doom chases laugh about the Shadow of Death following her, and say she will be most interesting before vanishing. The Doctor and Charley, knowing this was their last chance at an event they knew, had arranged a meeting to create a trap, but now The Crowd could be anywhere. On hearing about Shabby they insist on seeing the remains, only to find The Crowd have taken the body, but they still have the Temporal Staff and scroll. The Doctor wants to use the TARDIS to analyse them, but Doom refuses to give them up unless they bring her. As they're debating how many The Crowd actually is, a fire breaks out in the tavern, caused by The Crowd, and a Crowd gathers. Doom thinks she sees the targets among them, and Charley is taken without her or the Doctor noticing. After Doom kills that she thinks was Red Face, the Doctor drags her away to stop her causing more chaos.
They take the horse back towards the cathedral, where the first pilgrimage to Beckett is assembling. The Doctor sees Doom has killed the knights without consideration and is furious, even as he leads her into the cathedral and into the catacombs, and Doom spots the faces of The Crowd in tapestries, stain-glass and frescoes, The Doctor recalling they were at Calvary. Down below the TARDIS is hidden, and the Doctor eventually let's her inside so he can analyse everything. He takes a moment to guess which assassin outfit she is with, compares her unfavourably with Beckett's killers and implies long term Vortex Manipulator use can have serious consequences, as well as admitting he does remember her, but feels no inclination to help her.
The Crowd interrogate Charley, trying to learn how they can follow Doom.
Doom looks through the tragedies on the Scroll as the Doctor tried to understand how the Temporal Staff works, before spotting the TARDIS depicted on the scroll, and realises The Crowd were attempting to take possession of it, but now seem more interested in Doom. He thinks he can trap The Crowd in a temporal loop by making the TARDIS transport to the destination on the scroll, but Doom is aghast that will trap him too, leaving her without the help she knees. She begs him to reconsider, swearing to give up the hit, give up the killing, if he will let her help another way and then help her find the Old Doctor.
Detecting presence outside, the Doctor goes out to speak to the Crowd, while Doom fiddles with the Scroll, noticing something. The Crowd present Charley, wrapped in shock wiring that Doom may have dropped, and negotiations are attempted, but all the Crowd care about is feeding on more pain and death and misery.
Doom emerges, and seeing The Doctor's way won't succeed, uses the Temporal Staff to send the whole Crowd into the tavern, seconds before they blew it up, seemingly killing them all. The Doctor is furious, knowing there was so much more they could have learnt about them, another way to help them, and tell Doom he will not help her.
Doom begs, trying to argue her life as value as Charley tries to understand what is happening to Doom. As the Vortex Manipulator signal 5 minutes left, the Doctor relents, admitting he remembers her meeting his First self, and that she said it was like coming back, meaning he knew all along he was going to help her. She realises from his words that she must go back to New Venice, and he tells her to accept the mission no matter what.
Doom leaves, and Charley asks the Doctor if Death is really chasing her. The Doctor says it is, it's in her name after all.

Four From Doom's Day
An audiobook collection from BBC Audio. Title derived from the classic serial Four to Doomsday
Hour 16: The Steel Cascade
Read by Sooz Kempner in the role of Doom.
Doom is undercover as a waitress on 1966 earth on a Mediterranean cruise. Regular clients of the Lesser Order of Oberon, the Safe Century Coalition, want the Red Gorgon and Steel Cascade eliminated. Doom confirms the ship itself isn't the target, the SS Jolly Wanderer. While puzzling over the mission's meaning, she notes a man and woman in their 30s.
Barbara Wright is unimpressed with her book on the Roman empire, claiming it's inaccurate, her companion, Ian Chesterton, in enjoying a book about moon colonisation. The pair, after returning from 2 years in the TARDIS, have acquired some wanderlust, hence the cruise. They find they miss Vicki, Susan, and even the Doctor, but know retuning was the right decision. Doom approaches with drinks, and tries to goad them into revealing themselves as her targets, after no reaction she drinks the pre-poisoned drinks, having antidoted herself. Barbara, scared, leaves, Ian follows.
Anton Skutnik is defecting to the west, having made it out of Romania, evading agents in Istanbul. He is approached by a woman, and realises she was pursuing him in Belgrade, she is Dasha Petrov, codename Red Gorgon. She poisons him, offering to kill him quickly if he surrenders his case. He pretends to, then runs.
Ian reassures Barbara, at which point Skutnik stumbles into them, begging for help, asking the case be kept say. Ian knows of Skutnik, who officially disappeared some years ago. His case contains a new inventing supercomputer, he believes it must be destroyed. Knowing he is dead, he begs they get it to Prof. Hector Drakos in Athens. Ian examines the computer, discovering it is alive with alien technology, and Skutnik realises Petrov has found it.
Doom seeks out clues, with 40 minutes to go she spots Petrov outside a cabin, instantly recognising the Soviet spy and confirming she's her target, engages her, only for Petrov to destroy her gun, she forces her way into the cabin and seals it. She realises who they are when they mention the Doctor, and after the disappointment that he isn't aboard, grabs the supercomputer after Petrov breaks in.
Doom throws the supercomputer, shattering it, the mass grabs Petrov, and consumes her, while spreading across the floor. Doom knows it is a nanoform, and drags them into the closet, trying to force their way into the next cabin. Nano-Petrov advances just as they finally burst through, and start running.
Doom thinks her mission is over with 23 minutes to spare, until Ian explains Skutnik wasn't an agent, and she realises the Steel Cascade is the event currently happening, and she caused it. Evacuation is ordered. They realise the Steel Cascade isn't touching the salt water, and so Doom decides to scuttle the ship. Barbara forces Doom to let her accompany her with the offer of information on the Doctor.
Doom blows a hole in the engine room, but they are trapped by the Cascade, until Barbara uses an extinguisher to propel them out the hull. They manage to be rescued by Ian and a lifeboat crew, and Doom watches her mission complete.
Ian and Barbara give an abridged account of their time with the Doctor, and Doom picks a mission on Mars, rejecting Terri's attempt to make suggestions. Ian and Barbara plan to continue their travels.
Hour 17: The Martian Dilemma
Read by Jaye Griffiths, whose most notable role is as UNIT scientist Jac, with several others on audio.
Kelex must die. That is the instruction Doom has been given. She briefly considers the sorts of jobs which actually give helpful information, and how she knows never to attempt ones that ask to, say, kill Hitler, due to the Fixed Point in Time, and the fact it would likely just result in the assassin dying.
Mars chose Mars due to knowledge that the Doctor had theatres Martian plots in the past. She moves along a martian tunnel, and is surprised to see two humanoids in blue, not Ice Warriors as such. She realises she is in a Martian city, made of green rock. The plaza features Ice Warriors, but also at least a dozen other species. It's 11000 BC, and this open Mars is not one she knew of. She spots a Gibberon tourist, which reveals this is the fabled jadeite city of Mars, and learns Kelex is the new Queen who made this marvel possible, and learns the rumours that Mars is dying.
Doom sneaks her way to the royal palace, and hides in a vent and witnesses a royal court. 5 Ice Warrior clan leaders are meeting with Kelex. She intends to wait and hope the meeting will end, she only has about 30 minutes.
Harral seeks to reclaim Martian glory, but Kelex rejects the idea of an alliance, believing they are bringing a martian renaissance. Azlar, consort to Kelex, argues the union of the 5 clans is already an alliance, but she believes allying with aliens is a wholly separate matter, but they wish she would at hear the proposal. She request Sorr and Ezrak's opinions, they agree with the others. Out of respect for her comrades, Kelex hears the proposal.
She opens communications with a Crocodilian, Asundervel-Ren of Throkos, representing the Armageddon Alliance. The Alliance consists of the Crocodilians, the Thrals, the Pyrovales and and the Yutani, and proposes that of the Martians join them they would become unstoppable. Despite the warriors' enthusiasm, Kelex is unmoved and closes communication. Harral on particular is annoyed with the cultural changes Kelex has brought, instead of focusing on the honour of warriorhood.
Kelex has the others leave so she can talk with Azlar, and Doom starts positioning herself to fall atop the queen.
A poorly-timed ambush causes Doom to fail to break the queen's neck, and she is thrown across the room, destroying screens which blind the Warriors. Kelex fires a sonic gun, knocking Doom into a daze and destroying the council table. They imprison her as guards rush in.
Doom awakens in a dungeon, manacled, Vortex Manipulator missing, water thrown on her. Kelex and Azlar come to interrogate her, Doom starts rambling until Kelex asks about the Vortex Manipulator. Doom sees that the Manipulator has reset, she's eating into her next mission's time. She manages to ensure they aren't going to destroy it, and makes clear she can't betray her client as she has no idea who they are, but does confirm her mission statement.
When Kelex prepares to execute her, Doom suggests the client is probably in the council, seeking to guarantee Mars joins the Armageddon Alliance. She strongly suggests Azlar must be the client, building on a wealth of experience of over supportive jealous husbands seeking their wives dead, and Azlar specifically referring to her as a hired assassin. She swings out of the way of his attempt to execute her, pulls her chains off the wall, knocks them back, only for Kelex to shoot her husband. He did it because Mars is not ready for her changes.
Doom tries to prepare herself for Kelex, trying to decide if she should act. She can just see a shadow in the corner of her eye. She thinks the contract is null and void with the client dead, and based on historical knowledge, nothing of this period is going to matter, but if she kills Kelex she might completely change history, and that's even if her dear isn't a fixed point. She manages to convince Kelex to allow her to leave with the Vortex Manipulator. Doom lets slip that her ideals will come forth one day, Mars joining a peaceful alliance, and seeing that she's overrun by almost 15 minutes, and randomly sets the vortex manipulator before Death can get any closer.
Kelex goes to face her future.
Hour 18: An Ood Halloween
Read by Silas Carson, voice of the Ood.
Doom appears before an 8-year old child dressed as a witch, she realises she is in a shop selling Halloween goods. The girl thinks Doom is a ghost, but leaves with her mother.
Doom decides to disable the automatic reset, and actually check what her mission is, she only has 45 minutes to act. It is San Francisco, 1999, so she just might find him. Her mission is to assassinate Valich, a stranded Coluxian crime boss, whose men are set to rescue him. The date makes the mission difficult, but she is surprised to recognise a tuxedoed figure clasping a white orb, Brian the Ood. She would normally avoid him, but she is sure his presence isn't a coincidence. He is listening to a radio and enjoys a local station, and says he and Mr. Ball have been away (See: Time Lord Victorious). Brian is here to give her a second chance after she failed her last assignment. Doom starts protesting the fixed point dilemma, before realising Brian is working for the Order again after wiping out the previous administration, argument made that he benefitted the new leadership. He will be watching her and if she fails again he will kill her. Brian has a new Vortex Manipulator with updated features, and pick up out of place tech in Golden Gate Park.
They arrive at the Japanese Tea Garden, losing the signal there, and break in, finding a gravity pod, and octahedron in a pool, all internal technology scavenged. They find a trail of Valich's footprints and seek out a large crowd. Brian notes her impatience and larger than usual workload, she mentions looking for a Doctor. Brian acknowledges meeting the Doctor, but can only wish her luck.
Brian makes a short hop towards the crowd with Doom, they arrive at Castro Street. Still missing her gun, Doom steals a police officer's gun. Brian feels his disguise as a costumed man will fail. They hear cries, and find a girl calling out to her now dead boyfriend, the Coluxian reveling in carnage.
Doom fires on Valich, but he dodges every one, and starts swinging at them, they barely dodge. He eventually wounds Brian, activating his radio. Valich takes it, trying to contact his extraction, then flees. Doom only 24 minutes left, picks Brian up, and resumes pursuit.
They conclude SBRC is where Valich will try to send his signal, Doom steals a car, taking Brian along. They arrive at the spot, and pursue Valich inside. He disconnects Roxy Sparks' broadcast as his pursuers enter. When they interrupt, he clambers up the radio mast, Doom chases up as Brian tries to disconnect the power.
Brian disables the power, and Valich runs, the pair have to chase again, Doom instead decides to disable all the masts, and rushes to the substation, crashing the car into the substation. Brian is badly injured, or perhaps dead, but Doom needs to stop Valich. She has a minute. Spotting light in Mr. Ball, she stabs Valich's eyes, then shoves the translator sphere into Valich, killing Valich.
Brian awakens as Doom's Vortex Manipulator has reset. Brian wishes her well, and leaves. Doom checks her device, finding another earth mission, ignoring Terri's complaint.
Hour 19: Dark Space
Read again by Kempner
Doom has a rough landing. She is meant to be in London, 2167, to eliminate a Dalek collaborator, but is millions of years in the future on an unknown world. The eastern sky is mysteriously devoid of stars, and the sun is dying. She resigns herself to being stuck here for an hour, and sees twisted forms. A woman's voice appears from her Vortex Manipulator, asking to end her suffering, the words repeat and fill her mission log. She decides to take this as a mission. She starts seeing movement in her peripheral vision, far too soon for Death, and finds a lot of wreckage of spaceships. She finds in one a new pistol and a medkit, and then at a gun placement finds an empty spacesuit and parts to fix the gun. All she needs is a power pack.
As a Jelly Rat approaches, she resigns herself to searching the suit for one, and gets power to her gun, escaping the rats, and keeps seeking the transmission.
A strange noise alerts her to a figure behind her, in a dark coat, silver hair, and Scottish, wearing sunglasses. He tells her to wait while he sorts something, but she holds him up. He intends to help the source of the signal. He feels like he may have met her, lifetimes ago. He starts moving, and she attempts to analyse him to see if he's the target, but all her tech is being disrupted.
They come to a space carrier, finding a humanoid figure in a space suit, repeating the message. The man finds her badge reads Doctor Gina Harkew, she is long dead, her consciousness preserved in the suit as a data ghost. She stops him turning the power off, so she can properly complete her mission, but finds she is 30 minutes left and mission incomplete. The man realises her work after questioning her Vortex Manipulator, and points out it is odd both of them were drawn there at the same time. She realises at last he is the Doctor.
The Doctor is trying to work out who could be lurking time travellers here, and deduced Doom's employers, and decides to get some lights to have a better view. Doom considers eliminating this Doctor, but isn't sure if that will effect her chances of getting help from the right Doctor.
She rounds the ship to find light from a crowd of people, cheering, and finds herself enthralled as one asks her to join them and lead them into the future, when the Doctor interrupts and starts making criticisms that hit nerves enough she wonders if she's dreaming. The Doctor projects images of Doom killing some of the people, which she doesn't remember, the dignitary swings at her.
She awakens to a space battle, sat at a command deck surrounded by crew of the figures, and is prompted to deploy the weapon. Before they can do this, a blue box appears on screen, Doom starts ordering an attack and the Doctor warns not to, Doom orders an attack, the Doctor telling her he won't let her dot his to these people, he has already sabotaged it, causing an explosion.
She stands before a security council, marvelling at the success of the assault on Alpha Centauri, she mocks the leaders of the Galactic Federation, declaring she will have total dominion when the Doctor appears and slaps her awake.
She wakes up to the Doctor, and paranoid, declares to him that he's going to follow her through time and hunt her down, the realises that seems off. He has her describe the aliens, and then one appears.
The Doctor recognises the Time Sayer, and recognises it was showing Doom visions of it's family line, holding a grudge against the Doctor for things yet to happen. The true mission is now revealed, Doom believes the target is the Doctor, to allow the Time Sayer, Zeta, to achieve his ambitions.
Doom pulls her gun on the Doctor, declaring she Doctor she needs is much grumpier than him. The Doctor puts on his sunglasses, and tells Zeta he can change from his path. Zeta refuses, and Doom finds at the Doctor's prompting the mission now reads: bring about the end of me. Doom swings on Zeta, and is made to glimpse new futures, stood alongside Zeta, but she sees the Shadow of Death will be a threat in every possibility, and she fires on Zeta.
The Doctor apologises, but she has no time, and just asks if he remembers, he confirms he does, but he cannot help her, she needs the right time. She asks to be pointed to the right Doctor, but he refuses to answer, and she resignedly shifts.
The Doctor returns to the TARDIS, feeling bad both for using Doom, and for lying in raising her hopes, he doesn't really remember her, but thinks her future might not be fixed.
(Which Doctor?: 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11)
Based on the information both here and earlier in Extraction Point, it seems all but certain Doom is looking for the First Doctor.

Hour 15: Wrong Place at the Right Time
A second event in the Out of Time Mobile Game. This time the top reward is the titular assassin herself.
Doom meets a man called Martin, who she has just saved from some people. He initially thinks she's with the Resistance, but she maintains she was just passing.
Doom insists she was here for the curry, as she inly has 9 hours, 25 minutes to live, then saw Martin being abducted, and opted to disable security systems, subdue guards and distract what she thinks were dogs.
They find a place to hide until a guard shift changes. Martin explains he was seeking a forger who could make him a passq to gain access to records to find proof of recent disappearances.
Doom tells Martin to wait, as their contact will meet them at dawn, Martin has to warn his political activities mean police also want him. Doom knows this, and speaks of the Silent Enigma, Martin unsurprised as his articles painted the Supreme Leader poorly.
Doom clarifies to Martin that the Silent Enigma are watching him, but tells him to stay put despite the surveillance. Doom knows who Martin is because she's seen his biopic. In the future.
Martin begs her to tell him if his group succeed in opposing the regime. She admits they will be, eventually.
Doom is then dismayed when Martin asks about his wife and child, as they will die, and she can't time travel to save them.
She further states she isn't able to save them, she doesn't choose where she goes. And he'll be seeing them soon enough.
She's dosed him with a slow acting poison, in the morning people will find a respectable member of society, not an outcast like the normal disappearances, left for dead by the police, which will finally open eyes to opposition of the police state.
Later, Doom tunes into Radio Free Urbsbandi, and confirms the body of Martin Tyr was found, seemingly left for dead by police, though the party and the Silent Enigma deny it.
Doom hopes she'll be pointed to a mission that's a little more Doctor-y, and sees a mission with a cruise.

Hours 11-14: Extraction Point
A novel from BBC Books covering the middle hours of the day.
Fourteen Hours
VM2076: Doom is at ski resort Svoda, meeting the client's representative, Mandra, they want a skiing accident, on account of Doom's past accidentally causing one, already planning the site where the target, Stalgon, can accidentally off the glacier, Doom recognises Mandra seeks recognition. By the the she reaches the mountain, Doom will only have 40 minutes to deal with the threat.
Gondola Ride: Doom plans to intercept Stalgon at the middle gondola station, noting he will be skiing from the summit. She prepares to ski, only to realise she's being shot and what seems like a kid and parents are following. She is forced to shoot the kid to stun, only to see it is an android, Stalgon long gone and probably knowing she's there.
Ele in the Sky: Doom notices a planet destroying fireball headed for the mountain, wishing Terri had at least warned her. She has no idea how the Doctor, who she believes she has met 3 of, handles these situations. She has 43 minutes to kill Stalgon, the asteroid, and the spectre of Death. She plans to simply jump Stalgon at the base and staser him. The gets back and finds Mandra, who doesn't seem to recognise her, then freezes, Doom shoots her before she can be shot, and confirms Mandra is also an android.
Classic Terri: Evidently all the androids are Stalgon's bodyguards, Doom suspects the client hacked Mandra just long enough to plan the mission. She wishes Terri would have produced details beyond Stalgon being a planetary systems engineer from Vassta. Doom heads for the gondola while checking her messages, mostly inane ones from Terri, and spots one warning of the impending destruction in twenty-seven minutes, of a mission she still had 36 minutes remaining. With 10 minutes on the Gondola, she'd only have 17 minutes to find and kill him. She instead intends to get off at the midpoint and catch him, and boards, only see one of the skiers is Mandra, and realises everyone at the resort except Stalgon is an android. She uses an EMP weapon, and now wonders what to do with only 31 minutes to go.
Stalgon's Game: Doom makes a Mandra pile to climb out of the Gondola and uses the wing pack to escape, and aims to just kill Stalgon and be done with it, and wonders, looking at the fireball, if the planet will really survive 20 whole minutes. Her temperature is falling due to losing a foot, and Stalgon is now heading inside the mountain, she fears to a vessel.
Ice Tunnel: 18 minutes left of this world, Stalgon is stopped 20 metres down the 2 metre wide tunnel, Doom decides she'll have to glide into it. She wonders why Haylaa, Kajaki or Loraben, winter sports enthusiasts, couldn't have taken this job. She crashes into the tunnel, and puts her own shoes on, taking 3 minutes for the sensation in her feet to come back. With 8 minutes to impact, she sets a secondary timer on the Vortex Manipulator, and heads on.
Collide: Stalgon is 30 metres away, but then a tram suddenly appears backing up towards the entrance, and a drop. Doom jumps on, forces her way in, and tries to get out the other side past the 4 Mandras, but they all grab her, and start interrogating, she starts trying to talk, hoping the client still has backdoor in the network. The Mandras confirms Stalgon plans to leave before the meteor hits. They demand to know who sent her, and show her a spacecraft fly into the meteor, which breaks apart, the pieces not impacting the mountain.
Acquisition: The tram and Mandras have frozen, after not getting and answer she throws them all off the mountain and rushes to follow Stalgon, now descending inside the mountain. She wonders if the data she has is just ghost data, and follows his elevator, he's already 70 metres down. She reaches what she suspects is the launch bay, and wonders if Stalgon knows about her, everything about the job is feeling off. She can hear an alien voice over a speaker telling Stalgon they've fulfilled their contract completely. Doom finally sees Stalgon, identical to Mandra save the tattoo markers, blaming the alien for destroying her experiment. With only nine minutes left, she wants this done with. She opts to shoot him, and then the communicator when the alien announces it saw the murder. She seeks some food, and bunks into a man who appeared from nowhere. And then a blue box appears, and a man in a leather jacket steps out.
Nine: The Doctor recognises Doom, who is still struggling with him looking different, he then searches Stalgon's body, using a key there to look through the console and retrieve a data stick. The Doctor assumes Doom destroyed the asteroid, though notes the asteroid is unnatural, and people might think what's happened is worse than the planet being destroyed. She tries to ask the Doctor about New Venice, what he knew, he vaguely recalls it, but is deliberately vague, only apologising, and they both note she shouldn't really be alive after what happened. 140 seconds left, she has to check her jobs. Satellite 5, targeting an Ethereal. She tells the Doctor who she saw on the console, he understands now that this is a Kraal physical simulation. She leaves before the Doctor can explain why they might want to destroy this random planet with an asteroid that isn't from this system
Thirteen Hours
Karaoke: Another party, she isn't sure if it's a space station or underground complex, and Doom finds herself randomly selected to sing. Guessing her home 52nd century is considered ancient, she searches classical music, eventually picking It Had To Be You. After she's done she hears the party is awaiting the arrival of Cathica to Satellite Five in an hour. She realises she's missing her monocle, and is told how after the Jagafress, Cathica encouraged the Empress to improve entertainment quality throughout the Bountiful Human Empire. All the information Doom has on VS3032 is that it's 200,003, and the ethereal she is killing will make contact. She accesses a data port for info on Ethereals, and finds a woman in turqouise keeps trying to talk to her, and before she can even her down the woman has recited her script back at her.
Ghost V Whatever: A kid questions why Doom keeps talking to herself, and she starts questioning more about what the Doctor had been doing there and not asking how to reach the one she needed. Professor Yoon, the terminal avatar, explains more on Ethereals when a man overhears the topic of ghost killing. He is TV produce Andre Kuleko, and from her Vortex Manipulator he knows she's a time traveller, and suspects she's Lesser Order of Oberon. All he wants is to record her doing it for the show Ghost V Whatever. A recent edition had the ghost be restored by Corinth Inc's groundbreaking tech.
Engagement: Doom has realised her ghost is the woman in turquoise. She has 48 minutes and Andre needs 20 to have the studio ready. She starts trying to find more about the state of the world, when she sees a new report about a worryingly familiar world experiencing asteroid oblivion. It claims opposing factions on Vassta, Stalgon's homeworld, were debating religion as the stray asteroid threatened them, allegedly the Kadhs urging the leadership to destroy it and Abo Chenoute of the Mahds regarded it as a cleansing fire.
Cosplay: According to the news, the Vassa scientists believes it was from an inhabited moon of a gas giant in their system, and Chenoute was calling for welcoming death. Stalgon's simulation had seen Vassta survive only because of the spaceship intervention from what she guessed were Kadhs. The Kadh spokesman wore a uniform like the boy. She finds him and tries to engage in conversations. She spots the woman, who seems to be interacting with other patrons, and has the horrified thought that maybe the ghost is actually the boy, unable to see the woman because she isn't haunting her.
Floor 500: A quick test confirms for her that the boy is the ghost, and she informs Kulekvo, who invites her to come to the studio. On Floor 500 is now a reconstruction of the horrific things that happened there 3 years prior, with genuine human remains. With 27 minutes, Kulekvo explains the trap, the elevators are all lined with abzantium, the ghost cannot pass through, so they trap it in a lift and drop it all the way to the bottom of the station. She reassures herself the ghost isn't a boy, just data playing make-believe.
Ghost V Assassin: guessing she's been broadcast since the moment she set foot on Floor 500, Doom checks the while using it to put a message out, hoping the Doctor will hear it. She finds monstrous remains, and the boy appears , explaining this is the Jagafress, and Director Cathica Santini Khadeni led the uprising against it. She leads it to the trap, convincing the boy to go back to his dad. She has to join it in the lift, but when she tries to leap out the door snaps closed, Kulekbo announcing the true spectacle is in watching hunter die first, then the ghost fizzle out watching the corpse rot.
Falling: Doom tells the boy to get out, as after a moment he floats through the ceiling. She tries to clock out unsuccessfully. The boy opens a roof hach, and they barely escape the shaft before the abzantium roof crashes past. The boy is surprised she let him go, but her work isn't personal. She is going to kill Kulekvo though. The boy wants to come.
Truthing: They're on Floor 85, and the boy is bombarding her with questions about her work. She confirms Ghost Vs Whatever is produce by Telluric TV on Floor 267. She considers truthing him to death. They arrive outside, and armed guards spot her chasing her down, she gets aboard the lift and awaits the guard, ready to fire if he must, and is told she is being arrested for questioning on Kulekvo's death.
Alexyi: The boy gets her out the lift before it heads to Floor 325. She admits by not killing him she's risking her reputation, and if she's still there her fate may catch her up. The boy suggests he can power down and she can still get credit. He was on the asteroid-smasher, or rather was the ship's memory, and when it was destroyed he was sent to Corinth, made and avatar, and sent to Satellite Five to find her. He's dressed like the Kadh leader because the avatar is based on his son, who he hasn't seen in two years, after his mother, a Mahd, left him. They arrive at Floor 79. It wanted to find her due to her swearing she wanted to kill the asteroid back on Stalgon's simulation. She starts patching herself up. He is offering a contract from his 'father' D'Mitre Tannelo Kadh to destroy the asteroid so the children of Vassta can have a future. He makes a formal request, Mission PB 3005. She accept it, and hears his name. Alexyi Tannelo Kadh. Alexyi returns her monocle, stolen so she didn't automatically see him as her target.
Twelve Hours
Snakes: The Lesser Order of Oberon supplied a spacesuit right before she left Satellite Five, she finds herself in darkness, and is surprised to find cave art of snakes. She prepares to plant fission spikes throughout the asteroid to destroy it. She bribed a medtech to patch her up before leaving Satellite Five, and spots a new attached message from Alexyi, a video from Satellite Five about both her being wanted for Kulekvo's death, and networks wanting her story. She finds herself not alone, surrounded by giant cockroaches.
Insects: She tries to fight them off, but becomes overwhelmed. She suddenly finds her hand grabbed, and is made to run to a safe space, only to find her rescuer if the Doctor. The same Doctor. And for some reason there's oxygen. He got her message, and figured she'd come there once she worked it all out. The simulation predicts millions of deaths of carried out the same. The Doctor isn't alone, Kat, from Vassta, is also there, and objects to the destruction of the asteroid, home to a unique rare life form.
Kat: The Doctor is annoyed Kat didn't mention the insects before, she pulls a gun, and needed him because he had the simulation data. Kat believes the Kadhs would do anything to maintain control, even genocide. An intelligent species once resided on a moon in Vassta's system in the Kamiclar Belt, wiped out on collision with another satellite. The ones here have evolved, and can shake their environment at will. Vassta appears in the sky, the Doctor grabs Doom and runs.
Blue Box: Doom stops when Kat calls back, and explains the insects adapt their home to obstacles, they will shift it to avoid the impact. The bugs are getting restless about them though. The Doctor has Doom grab the gun, and to her shock, asks her to destroy the asteroid, insisting the story is a lie, the cave art faked. The Blue Box falls, the Doctor and Kat start scrambling for it, the Doctor intends to use the TARDIS to steer away the asteroid, but she can't count on that. She starts laying fission spikes.
Robot: While fighting off more bugs after laying the 4th spike, Doom recalls checking the briefing for VM2076 while recuperating. Vassta was settled 400 years ago, based on the lack of details, she thinks the Doctor must be right about Kat. She blasts another cockroach and examines it, finding they too are robots. Sighing, with 38 minutes left, she continues laying spikes. With six spikes left, she finds a very hot something near the centre, propelling it.
Ship: A spaceship parked at the core, similar to Alexyi's. Recognising it is the propulsion, she knows the Doctor could use it to redirect it, if she can find him in 21 minutes. She rushes to a space, and is cornered by Kat, who claims the Doctor is dead. She is about to try and arm the spikes and punch out, when Kat says something that reminds her Kat knew things she shouldn't.
Checkmate: How did Kat know she was Lesser Order of Oberon? Kat reveals she's used her services, and Doom starts thinking as Kat asks who hired her for this. The Mahds might have wanted Stalgon dead to make it seem the simulation wasn't so bad, except the Kadhs also added elements to it. And who would want to kill a data ghost? Both hits designed to suppress information on the true destructive force of the asteroid, killing her and Kulekvo would just be tying up loose ends. This the Mahds are behind both jobs, and Kat is one.
Comms: Kat's features are fattening, and then a shock causes them to fall, Doom damages her helmet. If Kat had fired Doom's gun it would have killed her. Doom prepares to arm the Fission spikes, and checked the Stalgon briefing, trying to request client info. It reveals the clients were Slitheen, Slitheen & Slitheen, S.A. registered in Panama by Fossack Monseca & Co in the 21st century. She prepares to arm the mines, and notes no signal, making escape near impossible. She can still activate the mines.
Charity: She instead starts looking for another way out. She finds the ship, and disarms one of the mines nearest it, hoping it will survive the explosion. There's no way to fly it. She still cannot work out what the sense in in any of this. The TARDIS arrives, the Doctor alive, and he quickly reroutes the course for the sun, allowing her to see the precise time it will burn up so she can complete the mission. She donates the fee to intergalactic rescue. The Doctor takes the data core, as offers Doom a ride. He offers a coffee, she wants to pick her next mission, but the Doctor says she'll want to have the drink.
Eleven Hours
2006: The Doctor has brought Doom to the Pike Place Starbucks, and extended her last 5 minutes to ten. So now she has 7 minutes. The Doctor explains that 2006 is the year the Slitheen start really scheming on earth, and reveals the single organ of Kulekvo's found on Satellite Five was his skin. He has to explain the Slitheen skin suit technology, and that they're Raxacoricofallapatorians. In 200,000 the technology has improved, but she realises Kat must also have been one as well. He leaves, telling her to stay there until her time runs out, that's all he can do for her. He thinks he should look into the Slitheen, and claims they both know her timeline is collapsing. She doesn't thinks she knows that, she just wants the one from New Venice to remove the Cause.
Bespoke: Doom takes a moment to confirm the Slitheen's recent activities on earth, but isn't willing to just sit back. She is shocked to find two new Vassta related jobs, that are temporally and geographically linked, and takes VK3075 & VM3076. The spectre of Death starts appearing seconds before she is finally warped away. She finds herself alone in a gondola, given the locale is identical to Stalgon's simulation, she realises this is the real Svoda. She breathes, but knows she now cannot wait to leave again as Death will be on her. VK3075 was to kill Abo Chenoute, the client being Lord D'Mitre Tannelo Kadh, while VM3076 was to kill Queen Luudmila Kadh, requested by Lady Magdah Tannelo Mahd. The two clients are married to eachother, with a single 11 year old son, Alexyi. She prepares her Cyber-Nanites, hoping to be able to get them in the two rulers' drinks.
Keynote: The resort is host to the conference Svoda 3 - Honesty and Reconciliation, Doom is concerned to find she is listed as a delegate. The tattoos apparently are only worn by Vasstan females. She has been issued an ID claiming she represents Corinth Inc., and a man seems interested in the post-life package. Magdah is to introduce Chenoute, and D'Mitre will be speaking on behalf of the queen. Doom knows the queen must be there somewhere. Doom hopes she can get info from Magdah on the Queen's location before Chenoute's death is discovered. She arrives at the auditorium to discover neither client appears to have turned up. A Raxacoricofallapatorian appears on stage, to audience shock, and announces both leaders are dead. The audience seem more pleased about the queen's death.
Grift: The Raxacoricofallapatorian denies responsibility for the deaths, and claims it is there to help. Introducing itself as Draja Fel-Fotch Heppen-Bar Slitheen, it claims the leaders were executed by temporal tribunal foe terroristic opportunism, using the asteroid to spread discord, and that the Slitheen diverted the asteroid. Doom knows it's a hoax, and suspects the Slitheen have killed both leaders and replaced 10 security guards she sees. As safe havens are promised, Doom slips out, Draja claiming Vassta is doomed, but everyone at Svoda 3 will be offered refuge. Doom's tracker shows both targets on the upper levels.
Suckers: Doom sees the mountain outside is being torn apart by ecologically devastating ore suckers, clearly the Slitheen's goal is to mine Vassta and the asteroid was intended as cover. Doom's job list still shows both leaders as alive, though she isn't sure she wants to help the Slitheen out. She hears some delegates have accepted, those still inside the auditorium have refused. Draja leads those who accepted away, Doom is sure they'll all be skin suits. She finds Chenoute recording a speech calling for war, and interrupts, shooting him in both knees. And then the Raxacoricofallapatorian takes off his Chenoute suit.
Hate: The video of Chenoute has already gone out, providing evidence of his crime, and mocks her. Doom doesn't think she has a contract anymore, as Ecktosca Fel-Fotch Heppen-Bar Slitheen, Draja's father, introduces himself, and suggests she claim the kill. She does so, and suspects Luudmila is also a Slitheen replacement. Surprisingly, Ecktosca only replaced Chenoute 5 days ago, and that will be when the hit was ordered, he basically confirms Luudmila was also replaced. However, the asteroid was not the Slitheen's work directly, but their clients, in the name of mining abzantium. He reveals he was the one playing Kulekvo. The simulation was all Chenoute, but the Slitheen and client recognised the worth of destroying the evidence, which is where Doom came in. As Doom is pointing out the Slitheen have done what they accused the leaders of doing, a familiar sound is heard.
Doctor: Ecktosca wheels around, and Doom sees the still-active job is now flagged for temporal disruption, or was it always? Doom hopes this Doctor will help, but then Stalgon stumbles out. Doom is about to shoot, but notes she has already been paid, so it doesn't matter if this is a past version or ethereal, Ecktosca tries a couple of attacks then runs off, Stalgon following. Doom recognises the other man to emerge, older, shorter, shabbier than the previous 2, bowtie and baggy plaid trousers, as the Doctor. The Doctor takes a moment to remember her, she's mentioned in another Doctor's diary. Whe she tries to mention they've met since then he seriously tells her to say no more. He's surprised she knows Stalgon, and seems a little confused about the Raxacoricofallapatorians, and is working for the Agency. Doom has 22 minutes left, and her remaining target is almost assuredly dead. She has a hunch this Doctor is right after the one she met on New Venice. She wants to run, but remembers Alexyi and agrees to help the Doctor. She feels this Doctor much different to the others she has met, kinder, and recognises he must be earlier in his timeline than blue-eyes, and that that Doctor was trying to prepare her for this.
Prisoner: Panic has already broken out. Doom heads off to find the Luudmila impostor, hoping the Doctor can set communications so she can expose her to the world. Doom finds her prepping the confession, and pretends merely to be relieved she's alive. She goads the Slitheen into revealing herself, and hopes she has managed to get that broadcasted. Stalgon finds her and helps lead her away from the kitchens, allowing them to imprison Draja. They head down, but Doom finds herself unsettled by Stalgon. She tries to ask how he met the Doctor, only for him to question her on his assassination of her. This Stalgon is a replica created by his children after discovering Ecktosca Slitheen's commissioning the hit, and they petitioned the Time Lords to help dispense justice. Justice on Doom. As Luudmila's speech is broadcast, Doom manages to petition the Stalgon android that protecting the lives of Vassta is more important. It at least seems to consider it. She phasers the Mandro, and wonders if the Doctor could reprogram it. Or she could clock out now.
H&R: Doom struggles to find a way to escape the lift Stalgon trapped her in. It takes 5 minutes before the Doctor appears from a ceiling hatch. The Doctor didn't know Stalgon was an android, but understands why the Agency wanted him, but notes if he'd known he wanted revenge he'd have refused. 12 minutes to go, the Doctor prepares to reprogram Stalgon as Doom notes another time distortion job has appeared, she decides to take it. After 3 more minutes, Stalgon awakens. The Doctor managed to expose the Raxacoricofallapatorians, but the infighting among Vasstans hasn't stopped. They go and stun the Slitheen guards, and release the trapped dignitaries, Doom telling any Vasstan who'd listen that D'Mitre and Magdah arranged assassination of the leaders. They find, injured, D'Mitre inside, and Doom wants to get him arrested, but the Doctor indicates not to, and they explain Draja is imprisoned upstairs. He recognises Doom, and agrees to arresting her and ordering Ecktosca to leave or she and the other Slitheen will be executed, or better, turned over to Magdah. Accepting that both Luudmila and Chenoute were impersonated, he intends to publicly reunite with Magdah to begin planetwide reconciliation. Doom asks the Doctor for a peak at His diary, but he insists he can't show her due to paradoxes. He instead shows her something from 2 hours in Vassta's future he has set up from the TARDIS. What brought him to Vassta to ensure it happens. A future where a terrible race do not get control of abzantium to make their casings invincible. The ore suckers will depart. He asks that, if his role in the day's events ever needs to be confirmed, she couch for him. She allows herself a moment of satisfaction that the past 4 hours have ultimately lead to a net positive. She has 3 minutes to record her testimony. For a moment she considers just relaxing rather than taking the next mission. Then she remembers Death appeared to her in 2006 when she wasn't even on a job, and knows she has to keep moving, keep looking for her Doctor.
(Which Doctor? 1, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11)
The fact Nine remembers New Venice specifically probably means we can eliminate 10 and 11, but it's possible he only knows about it because Doom mentioned it earlier/later. I'm inclined to agree with this as 2 remembers her as well. Doom seems to think she's looking for One, but I'm not going to assume that's guaranteed.

I've just learnt they've done a few web shorts between stories. I'm not going to bother with them, just note the when.
Meet Doom - The Universe's Greatest Assassin: Loosely at the begining.
The universe's greatest assassin has just 24 hours to escape Death and find the Doctor - where will Doom's Day take her next?: After Hour One, as Doom has 23 hours to go.
Mission Update From Doom!: Doom has 19 hours left, placing this after New York and before Stormcage.
15 hours left to find the Doctor, and Doom receives an unexpected communication - from a very good boy!: 15 hours left and Doom is contacted by a robot dog, leading into AI am the Doctor.
A satellite over Earth with the Number 5 on it... has Doom feel she's probably safe on this satellite even if she has 14 hours left, she doesn't see the image change to a skull...she doesn't get to satellite 5 until 13 hours left.
Time is counting down, Death is approaching, and the Doctor has yet to be Found! 10 hours left, Doom seems unsure as she hopes to find the Doctor soon.
Will update as I learn of more of these.

Doom is surprised to learn she is speaking to the Doctor, and keeps asking confirmation questions rather than letting her answer, and insists she has already dealt with the problems.
The Doctor is concerned Doom may have killed the pirates, but K9's listing specified disabling them. Doom is about to ask for information on the Doctor she seeks when K9 suggests a tour.
They are at Space Station Cal-Q-Lon, a haven for robots and AI, trying to fight off the Scarlet Scavengers. The Doctor gives away she is also a robot with a few slip ups
After Doom males clear exactly how the Doctor has given herself away, she starts to transform, telling K9 the game is up.
The Doctor was in fact Kamelion. Doom suggests he could be good as an assassin, but that isn't the life for him now, changed from his time with the Doctor,

The first of two events in the mobile game Out of Time. A resource mining game, this event focused on Doom, K9 and Kamelion, sufficient completion unlocking Kamelion in game.
The Thirteenth Doctor and K9 find themselves opposite Doom, who introduces herself, she is hear to deal with some Pirates. K9 placed the request so they could have help with their situation. Her requested reward is information on the Doctor.
Doom suggests he could be good as an assassin, but that isn't the life for him now, changed from his time with the Doctor,
The ruse was started because they couldn't reach the Doctor. Doom is impressed by the bravery Kamelion and K9 have, learned from the Doctor. As K9 is explaining his records on the Doctor are incomplete, the Scavengers attack once more.
Kamelion prepares to resume his guise as the Doctor, but Doom has already engineered a distraction for the Scavengers.
The job done, and with K9 and Kamelion lacking the information of the Doctor's location, they promise to let her know about Doom if they meet.
With no leads, Doom continues her journey.

Hours 6-9: A Doctor in the House?
Published by Titan Comics as a 2-part miniseries, with 2 hours in each issue.
Hour 006
Doom has been sent by Terri to New York, 1883, to target The Thief. She notes she for the second time today has found herself at a masquerade, the supposed party of the century, where a man thinks they have previously met.
Also present is Missy, who is playing at being "Doctor Who" something she will do slightly more sincerely at the end of her life. She finds her way to Lord and Lady Prettypaw, two feline humanoids she is surprised to find aren't her anomaly, and keeps looking so she can save the day.
Doom finds the Prettypaw twins attempting to rob a safe, they are her targets, wanted on 17 planets, and seek planet destroying perpetual topaz. Using her cloak to mask her movements, she kills Lord Prettypaw with a razor sharp mask, then shoots his sister dead. Missy enters, and Doom can tell she isn't the Doctor, and rushes off for her next repeat job. Missy decides the game is afoot.
Hour 007
Back at Stormcage in the 52nd Century, the new target is the Prison Broker.
Missy is here not for the first time, not for the first time encountering her 12th self in a cell, but merely comments on his not appreciating the media he is watching. The amount of time travellers detained in Stormcage means attempting to trace Doom by Artron Energy is pointless.
Doom goes to administrator Cire, informing her someone is planning to hire out the worst of the prisoners for a profit. Missy interrupts, Cire still believes her to be the Doctor from the aforementioned previous interaction with the Master, Doom tries to persuade otherwise, then slips away while Cire thinks briefly.
Doom finds a prisoner who was expecting Jaxxo instead, giving Doom the info she needed, the prisoner is on the list anyway, so she eliminates him with the energy barrier.
Doom finds Jaxxo, the one behind the scheme, officially an unpaid intern, noting his cover is terrible, and eliminated him.
Missy, the guards, and Cire arrive, Doom again refutes Missy's claim to be the Doctor and refuses to reveal what she did with the Perpetual Topaz, and leaves, Missy running off as well rather than do paperwork.
Hour 008
Target: The Extremist, at the Canis Major Overdensity Convention Center and Resort. Doom infiltrates Old Earthcon, taking the ID of Flavariousa Orange. Missy is trying to find Doom, attracting attention with her "Bictorian" outfit.
The two cross paths, Missy wanting the Topaz, Doom pointing out the planet was littered with doomsday weapons. They agree to work together for the greater good, as Doom knows something here is dangerous.
They find a bookstall, where Doom confronts a customer seeking to buy all the books to destroy them, being of the Church of Omitted Yesteryear, and engages in a scuffle.
Missy, distracted seeking the magic book Doom claimed was there, only notices what's happening after Doom has killed her target, and leaves, Missy autographs "A Doctor's Perspective on the Human Body", ending it to say "The Doctor Who".
Hour 009
A dying world, name forgotten, the target is The Last.
Doom arrives at the single structure visible the 3-eyed occupant confirms she need not introduce herself and offers tea. Missy arrives a while later, and accepts tea as well.
Missy reasons that The Last, knowing no one else will preserve the memories of the planet when he's gone, is planning some form of revenge on the universe. Before he dies he will activate an armada of destroyer probes will wipe out any life they encounter, each powered by a fragment of the Perpetual Topaz.
Doom wants Missy to prove she's the Doctor by finding a non-violent resolution, and certainly not just take the Topaz for herself.
Missy is unable to come up with a plan, and is about to just leave when the poison Doom put in his tea kills him before he can trigger the armada.
Doom leaves, telling Missy she didn't poison her cup simply because she wasn't a job yet. Missy goes to take the weapon, only for Doom to have triggered a total self destruct.
In the TARDIS, Missy assures the Doctor the Perpetual Topaz no longer exists in this era, and mentions Doom, but thinks it isn't important, wanting to know where they will be saving next.

Four Hours of Doom's Day
A supplement included with Issue 592 or Doctor Who Magazine, these 4 short comic stories start of Doom's Day.
Hour 002: Target Selected
Having already dealt with her target, Doom finds a kindred spirit in River Song, who tells her the one she's looking for is one of the exhibits at the Waxwork museum on New Calamino, and she has a mission headed there. The spectre of death right behind her, Doom heads off.
(Doom believes she has missed the Doctor here)
Hour 003: The Plastic Population
Renowned anti-plastic Minister Scaling is being interviewed at the museum, where Miss Ness Stean is attempting to convince him with a model in the heroes gallery and his own Tiny Twin, dolls which take the form of their owner. While astonished by his Tiny Twin, he wants to get back to drafting his Anti-Plastics bill, but has his measurements to take.
Doom is hidden in the Heroes Gallery, happening to be next to a Waxwork of the 6th Doctor in a spacesuit. Her target is the Minister, on behalf of the Plastics Lobby. She grabs a gun, and notes something about the Doctor waxwork.
Ness Stean reveals the Tiny Twins are intended to replace the population, growing by taking in plastic, using a nearby plastic pool.
The Doctor suddenly joins Doom in bursting in, only for the Minister to decide to side with Ness Stean, seeing it as a way to be rid of plastic and stop more being created. With Autons surrounding them, Doom takes the chance to shoot the Minister, his body lands in plastic, disrupting the Nestene processes.
Doom holds the Doctor at gunpoint, demanding to know what happened on New Venice, but he says he can't help her, he's the Wrong Doctor.
(This confirms Doom is not seeking the 6th Doctor. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12)
Hour 004: High Noon in Hollywood
Doom is in 30's Hollywood, currently on a western set, but the only people she can find are Cybermen, she flees them, and further through a horror set.
Her target is Polly Church, an actress soon to appear in Queen for a Day. She wonders what is motivating the client, Polly's father, to sanction the hit, only learning on entering the dressing room and finding Polly is also a Cyberman.
Surrounded by Cybermen, she fends some off with her Plastic Gun, and then grabs from a storehouse some grenades, using them to destroy the Cybermen, and warps out, still holding the grenades, as well as a prop treasure chest and smilodon.
Hour 005: The Horn of a Dilemma
In medieval times, Doom finds her mission sounds difficult, but heads towards a nearby market with the treasure and grenades.
She finds a group pedalling Unicorn hair and horn as curatives, and offers to buy the unicorn, refused until she shows the treasure. She claims to be a great hunter, that her coat is werewolf fur and the smilodon was her latest kill, and claims she wants to kill the unicorn.
A certain young lady tries to stop her as the Unicron is fetched, Doom whispering she can help her, showing the stage grenades.
The girl uses the flashbang, and when the smoke is cleared the unicorn is now a horse with a horn tied to its head, the girl claiming a unicorn hair made her injury worse.
The crows turns against the unicorn peddlers, believing they are a hoax, while Doom and this girl, Jo Grant, meet up. Doom was hired not to kill a unicorn, but the idea of the unicorn, as they were being hunted to extinction.
Jo and her friend will try to get the herd to safety, but Doom is out of time. She needs to find the Doctor, not noticing Jo enter the TARDIS.

Hour 001: Hour One
Note: It seems like everything should be releasing in chronological order (for Doom) this time.
We start with a prose story on the Doctor Who site.
Doom is in New Venice, currently struggling to cope with the fact she's dying, in a city where the party never stops.
The headquarters of the Lesser Order of Oberon, The Office, is disguised among a city built to hide it. Terri, currently there, tries to ignore Doom's call, before relenting, only to immediately put her on hold for a Judoon Vice Admiral.
When Doom gets back to her, Doom tells her she's been set up by coming here. Terri confirms the kill at Duke Derek Gamma's Masked Ball, but Doom starts explaining that as she was shooting she realised the Doctor was there. Terri only here's the Doctor has been killed without an active bounty. Doom clarifies the Doctor wasn't killed, and she's much more concerned with the fact her vortex manipulator shows she has 24 hours to live. Terri seems more concerned with paperwork.
Doom thinks back to how she went out to the balcony, and somehow the old man noticed her, and tried to warn her off, telling her who he was, she refused to listen.
She wants to find the Doctor again. He had warned her, so she hopes he can save her. She hopes the next 24 missions will give her the chance to find him.
She sees literal Death coming for her, and begs for her next assignment.
She has 3 options: The Alderton Array, Madrigal's Escalation, or Stormcage. And she knows at Stormcage there will be someone who knows the Doctor very well.
(Notes: The Doctor. Doom encounters a Doctor who warns her against killing her target, evidently aware of what will happen if she does. This is the particular Doctor she is hunting. Based on the limited description of him as elderly we can limit he possibilities to 1, 2, 3, War and 12, and arguably late game 7 or 11, but I would discount them. I would also discount 2 due to foreknowledge, and War because he shouldn't be introducing himself as the Doctor. Personally, the dialogue sounds most like 12. We'll see for now, see checklist below.)
Which Doctor is Doom Hunting?
Fugitive, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, War, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, Curator.
As of now technically any Doctor is a possibility, although I'm not seriously considering the Curator, 14, or 15, and due to the descriptor of being male, Fugitive or 13.

Doom's Day announced
Reviving this blog as a new event in the vein of Time Lord Victorious has been announced. This one I feel probably has the advantage of focusing on one specific character. Will try to do this one real time. As of now there's only 2 announced products I can pre-order.
In theory the event should consist of at most 24 stories, both currently announced products, one from BBC Audio and one from Big Finish, appear to account for 4 of those each, so there's another 2/3 to be announced. I wonder if they'll be continuous.

Time Fracture
The interactive adventure is honestly quite tangential.
Due to the nature of this event, every showing will be somewhat different, and the attendees are split across several routes, I'm unsure how many, after the prologue portion.
A book I received with my VIP pass includes two documents, one a letter to you from The Doctor, saying that you have done this multiple times, and to look out for those who are on their first journey. The other is a formal letter from Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, explaining the appearance of the Time Fracture in WW2, and the history of it.
Prologue
The volunteers are welcomed to UNIT HQ, the site of Operation Time Fracture by UNIT soldiers and a number of scientists, including Drs Courtney and Yates from the Field logs, as well as Drs Sullivan, Leeson and Shaw. The volunteers are welcomed into the hub, where Courtney's Portal Stabilisation Gateway is being readied for a test run, the plan is to send 2 volunteers through the Time Fracture, to 1940, and discover the Time Destructor hypothesised to be responsible for the Fracture opening.
In the Black Archive, Dr Shaw tells a group of volunteers that they believe the Time Fracture actually originated in the future, and asks their help in convincing the others to change Operation Time Fracture's parameters.
In addition, one(?) volunteer can be contacted by Davros and given a device to help him invade Gallifrey.
A video message from Kate Stewart plays, outlining the mission, and as preparations are made to open the Time Fracture for the chosen volunteers to start their journey, Daleks suddenly attack UNIT HQ. Most of the scientists go to fight them off and are exterminated, while Dr. Courtney aims to protect the volunteers. The Daleks breach the control room, and are only repelled by the TARDIS materialising around them. A video screen plays a message from the First and Thirteenth Doctors, who aren't willing to risk disrupting the Time Fracture by entering themselves, ask the volunteers to enter and find the pieces of the Time Disruptor to find a way to stop it, Dr. Courtney activating the gate and sending everyone through.
Act 1
This is where the story branches the most, and some areas you just won't see. There are 2 gates, and then once through, you wind up with one of a handful of roaming characters and will be take to a few destinations.
Guides:
Captain Steven Davies of Victorian era Torchwood, on managing to return him to his office you find it merged with the present day Hub, where there is a piece of the Time Disruptor and a receipt to pick up a Kerblam package, retrieving it you find a USB with a message from River Song imploring the volunteers to solve everything, then Davies takes the volunteers to one of a couple of locations and leaves them to be picked up by another guide.
2 different incarnations of the same Time Lord, who are aiming to stop schemes to save Gallifrey at the cost of the rest of the universe. In my case one of them picked my group up after Davies left us.
I see a mention of Time Agents, but I never encountered any.
Time Lady Zoria, a Gallifreyan Agent working to gather the pieces to the Time Disruptor.
Brian the Ood, assassin hired to eliminate Zoria and possibly retrieve the Time Disruptor pieces.
And static locations.
Borlls' Salvage and Export Emporium, where the Pigman owner hordes junk including a Time Disruptor part.
Elizabethan England, where Elizabeth I and William Shakespeare have been joined by Sir Robert, the time displaced Sgt Robert Dudley, who warns that the queen has the Coronet of Rassilon.
Karn where a member of the Sisterhood tells of how Ohila found Dudley after he first fell through the fracture, and sent him on, and points the volunteers to Brian.
Leonardo Da Vinci's workshop, where he wears an eyedrive due to periodic harassment by a Silent. He created the Time Disruptor for Zoria, but believed it to be a Temporal Restorer to undo the damage, but the fact that it is to be detonated on Gallifrey means it will instead cause the Time Fracture.
Zoria winds up killing both Borlls and Dudley to get Time Disruptor parts, and everyone winds up having to flee when Cybermen emerge from the Cyber Tombs of Telos.
(Somewhere is Time Fracture there is specially filmed video of the Fugitive Doctor, but I don't know what story is behind it.)
Intermission
Everyone is gradually brought to Space Liner ZZ1 where there is musical entertainment and drinks. One Time Lord manages to get the destination set to Gallifrey to stop the Time Disruptor. Zoria finds the last piece of the Time Disruptor, and gets in a shootout with Brian, before fleeing, him following after. The Time Lords gather their groups and guide them in willing a route to appear to get them to Gallifrey faster. Leading the group through a side door, the Volunteers find Brian's body, meaning Zoria has the completed Time Disruptor.
Act 2
The Time Lords lead you through the Henriks basement, where to save you from Weeping Angels they stay behind. You make your way through the Kassaavin realm, up the Heaven Sent tower, and into the Under Gallery, where the regenerated Time Lord leads you through the Gallifrey Falls No More painting to Gallifrey.
There the survivors of the High Council are debating the use of the Time Disruptor and whether to reassurect Rassilon. A new Romana is specifically against both, and expels Zoria from society after she presents the Time Disruptor, the members of the High Council who sent her out casting her aside. The Volunteers are added to the High Council for an emergency session for the debate, eventually the ritual to resurrect Rassilon takes place and he activates the Time Disruptor, immediately afterwards Davros leads a Dalek assault on the Capital.
All the Doctors make contact, and guide the volunteers in releasing Artron Energy into the Time Fracture and closing it, saving the universe.
The Volunteers are returned to UNIT HQ, where their actions have prevented the Time Fracture from existing, with the UNIT staff unsure what happened.
(Continuity Notes: This is the Time Fracture used by the TARDIS to bring the Doctor to the Dark Times. Presumably the appearance in London was a result of the disruption in time caused by Adelaide Brooke being alive on London rather than dead on Mars. Brian's death here means this cannot be before his involvement in Time Lord Victorious, and yet his ending leaves him in the Dark Times and planning to retire from assassin work, while he here dies.)

All Flesh is Grass
The 2nd BBC Books offering and the climax of Time Lord Victorious, it starts with the 3 main narrative threads meeting as seen in the end of The Knight, The Fool and The Dead.
Prologue
At the Dawn of the Dark Times, Birinji was already ancient and wise, a society living so incredibly slowly up until death came. They had to flee, though some tried to reason with them first. An old woman, Yinji, now knowing what it meant until the Kottutuh came, gathered what she could and waited for the end.
After other worlds, a Kotturuh came to Birinji, and started to judge some grass, and realised immediately they were there too soon, and her oeople would not listen to her, but she had to stop them. War started, and everything on Birinji died except her, she was exiled to the dead realm, until she found the biodome.
Birinji is dead, no matter where you look, until you find the biodome, teeming with life. One sentient creature lived there, tending to the plants and animals and insects. Her name is Inyit. Long ago she came there with her people, and a people that lived a million years ago died in hours. Inyit tends to the little paradise and waits, the Last of the Kotturuh.
(Continuity Notes: Part 1: Following on directly from the end of The Knight, The Fool, and The Dead, the 3 Doctors have come to a confrontation. 10 has, after Waters of Mars, traveled through the Time Fracture into the Dark Times and met Brian, who was lost in time after meeting Eight in He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not, and winding up in the Dark Times came to work with the Doctor. 8 has in short order experienced Echoes of Extinction, He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not and The Enemy of My Enemy, and brought the Dalek Time Squad, who have been assigned to work with him after the Restoration Empire's issues beginning with the Daleks! Series, instigated by the receipt of The Last Message, and through Defender of the Daleks, where they recruited an earlier 10 to help them face the Hond. 9 has come from after all but the last page of Monstrous Beauty, after leaving Rose with Centia he has joined up with the Coffin Ship freed by Drogann with the Synthetic Blood.)
Chapter One
The 10th Doctor overlooks the bridge during the battle, as the battlecruiser and its fleet, thinking of how primitive his people are in this era, he thinks he might be overcompensating with the collar and the death sentence on the Kotturuh. But he is the Time Lord Victorious, the universe will have to adjust to no Kotturuh, the last few of their fleet are below on Mordeela. He had been debating whether to launch the attack, when the 8th Doctor turned up with Daleks, and the 9th Doctor with Great Vampires, telling him he was wrong, and he resolved they were wrong, they were working with the enemy, and he ordered an attack.
8 is unsettled sharing space with Daleks, who he has helped reach the Dark Times. He finds the Time Commander, Executioner, Scientist and Drones tediously Dalek, but the Strategist terrifies him, its old casing and unpleasant smell. When they arrived in the Dark Times he had learnt from the Strategist the Emperor had determined he was the likely cause, and he had to stop his future self. Then another Doctor had turned up, working on the same goal. They'd both judged eachother and Ten, and he'd been sure Ten would listen to reason. Then he blew up Mordeela. The Strategist recommended Extermination.
9 finds the Vampire's hands cold, and the Coffin Ship in general. He is helping these Vampires find a home while Rose recovers, and work out what is wrong in the Dark Times, and he came to Mordeela to find his future wiping out the Kotturuh, and his past with Daleks. He assured the Chatelaine that he'd see reason. Then Mordeela exploded, and she mocked him.
The Daleks attacked immediately, destroying 5 before Eight can even protest, and he does, trying to force them away until the Executioner swats him away, asking them to stop, the Strategist refuses, he had warned 10 after all. Eight pulls himself up, and reminds the Daleks Ten has a species destroying weapon, and the Time Commander opts to give him a moment.
The Coffin Ship attacks the fleet, Nine watching the Chatelaine give instructions, but he feels their efforts are wasted given the Daleks.
Ten watched the battle, shocked his past selves did actually fire on him. As the Time Lord Victorious he orders his fleet to fire back.
Chapter Two
As the battleship is rocked by explosions, Brian contemplates his nature, and vexed by current circumstances, consults Mr. Ball, who is unhelpful. Brian is surprised by Eight being alive, and a 3rd Doctor. He suggests to Ten using the weapon and adapting it to their enemies, the Doctor is against it, but Brian is sure he'll learn. He presents some weapons he has collected in the Dark Times, Racnoss Web guns, Jagaroth warp thrusters and Grelsh Soul Orbs.
Eight is concerned as Dalek Drones pour out, insisting Ten will surrender, the Strategist noting they do not trust him. Drones wipe out survivors from the destroyed sheets, as a Scientist starts cutting through the command ship airlock, immediately detected on the bridge. An explosion briefly worries Eight that Ten has sacrificed himself, a pulse of green light from the explosion is held off by the timeship shields, but destroys scout ships. Eight takes a console from a Scientist, discovering the attack Uxaerian doomsday particles, he can block with power from the TARDIS, noticing the Executioner is nearby.
Nine consults the Chatelaine, Madame Ikalla, for a way to stop Daleks being totally annihilated, awakening the Great Vampires guards, the Bloodsmen.
Brian and Ten watch the destruction, a Dæmon Heathfield around the Victis Fleet, holding over the remains of Mordeela. Paurel, chief engineer of the Taratella is working to boost the engines, calculating her increased earnings, when a pale figure appears aboard, then two more, approaching, teeth bared. The Taratella and other fall out of formation towards Mordeela. Ten insists they save the rapidly expiring crew but in a moment the ship is empty. Nine is concerned by tge Bloodsmen bringing captives back.
Eight is surprised by the vampire army, as the Scientust contemplates study of tge Vampires snd other Dark Times species. 3ight is uneasy with Nine using Bloodsmen and the Daleks.
Ten is desperate to stop the fighting, a beam from the ship drains the Coffin Ship and the Timeship, everything frozen. The 3 Doctors make mental contact, Ten criticising Eight working with Daleks as Eight questions his genocide. Ten feels justified, Nine notes he can't believe Ten is changing time so casually, Ten justified it because the Kotturuh caused a child her death. Nine thinks about nearly going to wipe out the Vampires because of what was done to Rose, but says he'd never go that far. Ten then rallies on Eight, knowing he got started changing people's fates. Eight points out even the Daleks know Ten has gone too far. Nine leaves, judging both of them for their armies, Eight and Ten agree to calm their sides. Ten awakens to find Brian launching another attack.
Chapter Three
The attack from the mercenary ship is soon responded to by the Daleks and Undead. Victis Fleet ships flee or blow up, until only the flagship remains, the engines crippled. The crew of the flagship have realised that as the money is now to be split just between them, they will be hugely wealthy. Ten believes the day is lost, dropping the collar, but Brian reminds him of the Kotturuh Death generator. He uses parts from the collar to rewire the Sonic Screwdriver. The Time Commander and Ikalla both demand surrender to them, Ten sends a message taunting his past selves and drops the Death Generator into Mordeela, sealing the gateway, and allowing the ship to flee as Mordeela collapse into a hole. Brian understands the Doctor fleeing, likening it to his assassinations.
Chapter Four
10 and Brian are on the planet Entranxis, seeking weapons inside a statue. The Kotturuh are dying, but Ten knows the Vampires and Daleks need dealing with, especially the Daleks, which Brian has used to convince him to go to Entranxis. Entering the Hall of Supplication, the Death-Brokers bid they kneel, and start to present him with a Vampire when Eight and Nine arrive to rescue the vampire, Nine holding a Spider Plant.
Eight had always been concerned about the Daleks. They seemed to have ignores him, the Commander and Executioner committing atrocities, the Strategist hiding, but kept the TARDIS from him, the Scientist accompanying him inside when he recovers some items, then in his cell tries to work out their plan. Hearing signs of what they're up to, he escaped aboard the Coffin Ship when the Daleks attacked, bringing a Spider Plant from the TARDIS.
Nine had been receiving explanations on the Coffin Ship from Madam Ikalla, who eventually revealed she was the only true Vampire aboard, while he sought somewhere for the Free Undead to settle. In the attack he found Eight, having already warned the crew, who were escaping, and they joined forces.
Ten finds the torture of the captive Ikalla abhorrent, as all three release her from the cage. The three argue, Eight noting his history with Brian inclines him to distrust him. The Brokers try to keep them there when the Dales attack, 4 Drones entering, killing the slaves and seeking to capture the Doctors and Ikalla.
(Continuity Notes: Part 2: during the time skip, the events of Minds of Magnox, all 5 parts of Tales of the Dark Times, and Mission to the Known have all taken place.)
Chapter Five
The three cause a sonic resonance to distract the Daleks and Dealers, and run. Ten, Brian and Eight wind up together, Nine and Ikalla getting separated. Ten disagrees that he needs stopping, but both recognise the Daleks need to be stopped.
Nine, separate from the others, continues through the Halls of Supplication, and finds someone following him but not speaking, suddenly leaping at him.
Chapter Six
Ten, Eight and Brian run out of the Halls of Supplication, the Doctor summoning the last ship of the Victis Fleet to collect them, as the Death-Brokers take flight against the Daleks, bit also attack the group when spotting them. A shuttle collects them, pilot Tom saluting the Admiral-Doctor to Eight's consternation.
Nine throws off his attacker, Ikalla, who is lashing out due to pain, but expresses relief the crew is safe. She explains the Death-Brokers were going to present her to the Daleks, who are collecting interesting specimens in the Dark Times. None examines the dying plant, and has Ikalla follow him to his TARDIS.
The Daleks destroy the Death-Brokers' dragons, as the shuttle docks on the remaining Victis Fleet ship, dubbed by Ten the HMS Donna. The ship is contacted by a Kotturuh ship, broadcasting to the planet that they're bringing them death. Before the Time Lord Victorious can order the ship destroyed, they go to battle stations as a Scout Ship appears.
Chapter Seven
Nine and Ikalla flee the Daleks, who are referring to a Symbiont they want.
The Daleks destroy the Kotturuh ship.
None brings Ikalla and the Plant into the TARDIS. She has become angry, not willing to go back to her people yet. He offers her to come with him, names the Plant Hector, and has the TARDIS travel to the HMS Donna to talk to himself.
Chapter Eight
Ten suggests the Symbiont could be Ikalla, then the Kotturuh, but Brian points out the Daleks merely destroyed them. Nine wonders of they could find other surviving Kotturuh and work with them to stop the Death Wave, but Ten considers it done. Nine points out the real issue is how their absence affects the future. Eight sees the Kotturuh as as bad as the Daleks, leading Ten to see nothing wrong with wiping either out. Nine is furious both of him have lost their way, and takes Ikalla in the TARDIS to seek Kotturuh.
The Time Commander listens as the latest captives scream, witnessing subjects placed on suspension. The Scientist joins it, explaining the Fellonian telepathy that makes pain experienced by the whole species. The Strategist notes with the Scientist the limited value of the samples without the Vampires, noting their similarity to the Daleks.
The Commander and Executioner were issued orders, away from the Strategist, in the event of failure to prevent damage to the timeline, to acquire the ultimate victory.
The HMS Donna evades attacks from the Dalek Saucer. Eight recalls with Brian his falling through the Time Vortex last they met, suspecting the TARDIS had a hand in Brian winding up in the Dark Times, and the Time Fracture that was used to bring the TARDISes there, and notes he thinks Brian has had a bad influence on Ten.
The Daleks stop attacking the HMS Donna, and destroy all life on Entranxis, leaving Ten and Eight with a reminder of what they need to stop.
Chapter Nine
Ten affects repairs while telling the crew their initial mission, stopping the Kotturuh, has succeeded. Thagassian Chief Engineer Menden helps him with a hot engine part. He tells those who want to leave now the Kotturuh are done they can leave, but he is taking the Daleks.
After 3 days they find a wrecked Coffin Ship. Ten and Brian explore, finding dead vampires, but Eight and the ship are take captive by angry Bloodsmen.
Nine is glad Ikalla is watering Hector, and gives him a vial of his own blood to drink. He tells her he's not here to interfere in the Great Vampires' war with his people, but can find a way to give some of them a better life. She warns her death will instantly kill all of the Free Undead as their sire, as a Great One dying kills all sired by them. He wants to free them from that, but she sees it as trading debt to the Great Ones to debt to him, and leaves the console room.
They have come to a dead world, which Ikalla sees mist have already received judgement, but Nine saw this world on the Kotturuh map when in Contact with Ten. They come out the valley of the gods to a village, meeting an old woman who misses the gods. Her people kept the traditions up, but they have forgotten what the gods were or who they were. They have come to await the new arrivals.
Kotturuh arrive at sunset, 3 emerging from their ship. They dismiss Ikalla, and focus on the old priestess and her people. It offers her people peace, noting they are also dying without their work completed. Before they give death Nine interrupts. The Kotturuh recognise who he is and that he has not yet brought their end. He asks why they're still working with their fates sealed. It concedes their deaths are inevitable and Mordeela sealed off, but they have a destiny they must work for. The work began on Birinji, but it may be that was where things went wrong. They seem to be forced to accept they should have held themselves to the same standards as those they judged. Then the Daleks come.
Ten approaches the Bloodsmen, talking to leader Gelsin, they were seeking Ikalla, who they know is with Nine. They ask him why the Daleks would wipe out the Coffin Ship.
Nine begs the Kotturuh to judge the Daleks, but they see them as outside their design. They refuse to help him, and are all exterminated, Nine concluding they seek to make themselves the new Bringers of Death.
Brian considers the situation, wondering if he could manipulate the Doctors into killing, and wanting revenge on Eight. Gelsin's men report the pilot of the ship was killed, surprising Ten who now wonders they they wanted Ikalla, before being made to realise the Daleks have a Great Vampire captive.
Chapter Ten
On the Dalek Saucer, a Drone briefly depicts a blip. Ten, Eight, Brian and Gelsin have used Ten's TARDIS and Bloodsmen tech to track Eight's TARDIS and the Great One.
In the TARDIS, Nine and Ikalla discuss the Vampire view on the Kotturuh, as he sets course for Birinji.
The group narrowly avoids a Dalek detecting Gelsin.
The TARDIS scanners detect nothing on Birinji, but Nine and Ikalla go to explore, spotting a biodome, they move the TARDIS there, Nine taking Hector into the garden.
Gelsin can sense the Great One and waits for the door to open, as Eight and Ten try to open a vent, they get inside and spot the Dalek Strategist passing right by, possibly recognising their presence. They get closer, the screams of the Great One echoing.
Ikalla is struck by the beauty, as the Doctor spots a Kotturuh, as she knew they were coming, and expects them to bring her death. When Nine insists he wants to save the remaining Kotturuh, she announces they are already dead.
Ten and Gelsin observe the Strategist and a Scientist study the Great One, recognising the high pain threshold, they are preparing to extract DNA to experiment.
The Kotturuh, Inyit, and explains she came to Birinji after believing they had made the wrong decision. The Kotturuh believe themselves charged with their work by the Ruler of the Universes, but she noted oddities in that view, the Vampires, who are effectively enabled by giving finite lifespans. They considered the Vampires their divine opposite, but no help came when the Gift was brought to them. Inyit brings up the work of the Gardener in knowing what to remove to shape the whole properly, and the Kotturuh were the same way, but she recognises they are no different to other life, without them Death would eventually just spread from Mordeela on its own. Instead of a natural death, they, like the Vampires, became predators. She came to Birinji to give life there another chance, recognising her initial mistake. She then criticises Nine in not raising Hector well.
Ten and Gelsin recognise they have to stop the Daleks, and destroy the Great One. He points out they only entered this chamber by a door possibly left open deliberately, which the Strategist looks up to him and confirms.
Chapter Eleven
Eight convinces the Daleks to take himself and Brian prisoner to the Time Commander, claiming to not have left the ship, and observes the Daleks have an end destination in mind. The Daleks refuse to disclose the Ultimate End, and warn the Doctor's usefulness may be at an end. Brian suggests the Daleks want the Kotturuh gone so they can't judge them. The Doctor observes a scout ship has been sent to wipe out all on Birinji.
Inyit explains how her philosophy has changed on Birinji, Nine doesn't understand her meaning, although Ikalla does, Inyit is something new now.
Ten and Gelsin are told to observe the creation of the ultimate life from the Great Vampire, the Strategist beginning the work without authorisation from the Time Commander, causing mass power drain, the DNA absorption more than expected.
Inyit explains to Nine that change requires death.
The Great Vampire dies, the Dalek Mutant breaking containment, with the Strategist and Scientist concerned, Ten and Gelsin rin as the mutant starts to rampage.
Inyit explains to Nine that the Kotturuh, whatever the truth of their history, discovered the death energy and hoarded it, asking Nine if he wants to know what happens when the last Kotturuh dies. If the Kotturuh are all gone the death energy will be unleashed catastrophically.
The Saucer fails, Eight and Brian start an escape as the Time Commander targets them, limping. Backup power gives them a chance to escape, and run into Ten and Gelsin to prepare to escape, but Brian deliberately stays behind as they teleport out.
Inyit explains the legend is if the Kotturuh die out before bringing death to every lifeform, then unstoppable death will be unleashed, though she doesn't know if it is true.
Chapter Twelve
A Dalek Scout shit attacks the Biodome, the Donna materialises into the ship, sending both crashing, and the Doctor's meet while the mercenaries work to restore the dome. Ten is forced to accept the possibility that the Kotturuh myth could be true, or at least that it is too big a risk to act, accepting he was wrong to try to wipe out the Kotturuh, and his past selves were right to try and stop him.
The Time Commander and Strategist argue fault over the Doctor's escape, the Ultimate End being jeopardised, and the failure of the Strategist's experiment, though it denies any failure. Brian surreptitiously listens in.
Nine cradles Hector, keeping him from Eight, while Ten reflects on how their attitudes lead to him, and his mistakes, wondering if he is too tired. Seeing Inyit and Ikalla work together to protect some plants, he declares they will fix things.
The Scientist and Strategist present to the Time Commander the Symbiont, a horrific lifeform and their new weapon. The Commander sees it as useless, but being undead it cannot die. It starts attacking the Time Commander, damaging it's casing until the Strategist detects Brian's presence, sending the Symbiont after him instead. He flees, killing his first Dalek as he does so. He eventually reaches the drive chamber and studies the current destination.
On Birinji Ten receives a phone call from Brian, informing him that the Dalek Saucer is headed for a specific set of coordinates for their Ultimate End, recognises by the Doctors as Gallifrey.
Chapter Thirteen
The Dead thinks he can't live in a universe without Gallifrey, the Knight and the Fool don't broach the subject, but they agree to head for Gallifrey, leaving Ikalla and Inyit, Hector in Inyit's care supposedly a gift given for something.
The Commander and Symbiont corner Brian, who has set up things to force conversation as attacking him may destroy the ship, so a conversation can be had.
The Donna rushes through space quick as it can to Gallifrey.
Inyit and Ikalla talk, wondering what it will be like when the Door to Death opens.
Brian attempts to negotiate passage back from the Dark Times, promising not to stop their attack on Gallifrey, but the Daleks confronting him announce weapons recalibration to prevent drive damage and attack.
Eight and Nine watch the approach, as Ten has taken his TARDIS for some purpose.
Ten materialises his TARDIS on the Saucer to get Brian back, threatening what will happen if they attack given the same TARDIS is in two places on the Saucer. Inside Brian explains his plan, attempted noble sacrifice and all, but is grateful the Doctor saved him.
The Strategist believes the Ultimate End is compromised, but prepares a strategy, a Scout Ship leaving the Saucer.
Gallifrey had avoided trouble with the Jagaroth, Uxaerians, Daemons, Osirans, but as they enter space have become enemies to the Vampires. The Donna materialises, Ten imagining a child seeing and imagining the future. He has returned to being Time Lord Victorious. Eight talks about after saving it going home to tell Romana different accounts and annoy K9, not noticing how the other two react. Ten offers them new clothes.
The Donna appears above Gallifrey, the Dalek Saucer on the edge of Kasterberous.
Chapter Fourteen
The Donna has little weapons. The Executioner doesn't care for the Strategist, but sees worth in the new forces. Brian deploys a reflective shield which absorbs attacks, then reflects them at the Daleks, shattering their cases.
Out of weapons, the Doctors have Mended evacuate the mercenaries, and Gelsin the Bloodsmen. Nine and Ten privately note Eight has no idea what is coming.
Shattered Dalek casings continue moving.
Ramming the Donna into the Saucer should destroy it, aided by the double paradoxes of 3 Doctors and 3 TARDISes, but before they can make that plan a reality, they notice the still moving Daleks, as the Executioner deploys more Symbiont Drones.
Ikalla surveys the garden, and a sleeping Inyit, before seeing with horror a Dalek Scout Ship appear on Birinji
The Donna goes to ram the Dalek Saucer, when 3 Coffin Ships appear, Gelsin having summoned aid from the Free Undead. They open a path for the Donna to the Saucer. As the Doctors note the lives being lost, Ten finds the last gift he received in his pocket.
The Dalek leaders survey, largely sure of victory.
A single Symbiont Scout lands on Birinji. Inyit awakens at Ikalla's nudging.
A Coffin Ship is destroyed, and the Saucer targets the Donna and fires.
The Symbiont targets Inyit, who refuses Ikalla's attempts to shield her. Noting the Daleks deliberately sent something not quite Dalek, she gives one last Judgement to it.
As the Doctors and Brian wait to die, suddenly the Dalek Drones burn up and die.
The Daleks hurriedly determine how many of their forces were Symbionts, and of the Judgement has spread to pure Daleks. The Strategist orders they must proceed to Gallifrey.
Ikalla helps Inyit, and notes she doesn't know of the Symbiont was Dalek enough to effect the others, but she feels the Gates of Death opening.
Chapter Fifteen
The Doctors note it isn't over yet, Eight intends to get the Daleks out of the Dark Time, getting from Brian a Bloodsmen Apparator, Ten gives him his last gift before he goes.
Daleks have become hysterical, to the Strategist's annoyance. It sees there is still a chance to destroy Gallifrey of it takes control right now, but Eight appears before it can start. Knowing their Ultimate End, he puts on them pressure that the Judgement is still coming for them of they stay in the Dark Times, and if they stay they will have seconds. The Strategist is about to concur, but the Commander insists on the Ultimate End. Eight, annoyed, produces the last crystal of Mordeela and throws it into them, and uses a remote detonator to trigger Brian's sabotage, detonating the engine and throwing the Saucer onto the Vortex. He takes off, rushing to find the TARDIS.
Brian informs Nine and Ten the Dalek Saucer is gone, and they decide to drop the robes. Nine and Ten have a last look at Gallifrey before rushing to their respective TARDISes, the Donna burning up in the atmosphere.
The two TARDISes land on Birinji, Nine and Ten heading to the Biodome, where a dying Inyit notes she gave Ten a crystal with her energy, she can see him coming but won't last long enough to ask if it was used well. Ikalla asks her futilely not to die. Recalling Yinji, the last creature to see her face, Inyit shows Ikalla her face, and tells her she thinks the Gates of Death are only opening for her, and she welcomes what she sees.
Ten and Nine stroll on happily, Nine wanting Hector, Ikalla informs Ten bitterly that he has won, but accepts his understanding of what he did wrong, and reveals Inyit gave her some of herself. She is the last of Birinji, the last Kotturuh, someday the last Vampire.
Nine and Ten note that now, life will be defined by itself, Ten knowing he went too far bit thinking he was headed the right direction.
The too joke and mend things, trying t explain to Brian how they'll recall things afterwards.
The now unemployed mercenaries come to Birinji, then as many Free Undead as would need Ikalla's summons, her altered biology allows her to free them from dependence on their masters. She explains their new roles, noticing Hector is thriving.
Ten prepares to take Brian home, bit he and Mr. Ball want to make a home there.
Ikalla and Brian watch Nine and Ten wall away, noting they both lied about coming back. Each TARDIS vanishes, leaving Birinji to its own devices.

Genetics of the Daleks
Big Finish's final contribution to the event is a story specially commissioned by Escape Hunt as a tie-in with A Dalek Awakens.
Medical Officer Harville Chuke attends to Pilot Jake Finlay, newly out of cryogenic suspension aboard Starship Future. As he was the 3rd pilot, Finlay knows they should be 20 years into the voyage. Satisfied, Chuke awakens reserve Security Officer Erica Swann, who hopes they're at Tiergarten Star. Unfortunately they're still 30 years out, she's been awakened because the previous SO had an accident. Once they're recovered enough to move, Chuke will show them their cabins. They meet with Captain Graff, 102 years old but slowed to around her late 40s or 50s, and explains the previous SO was electrocuted. Science Officer Brooke found a Dalek, brought onboard from ice they were taking on for fuel. Brooke assures Swann it's safe, it's kept half frozen, has no Gunstick, and no Mutant inside. Brooke intends to unlock the Dalek's secrets to advance human technology.
Finlay checks power out of mild concern over the previous SO's death, he notes power spikes on recent weeks consistent with someone traveling in the area, and Swann is sent to check for signs of activity.
Brooke is secretly harbouring the Dalek Mutant, which has promised him the Dalek technology in exchange for a machine he's constructing for it. Brooke killed the SO, and has been smuggling parts from the hold. Swann meets with Chuke on private, indicating she and perhaps him aren't officially supposed to be there, and she was not registered as an SO. The previous SO was getting suspicious, but died before Chuke had to deal with him. Finlay checks the personnel records as well, as it may be true there are 10,000 people on cold storage, given her capsule was right next to his he feels he would have remembered her. Graff dismisses herself. Finlay finds records that Swann went into stasis almost exactly the same time as himself, but also that she woke up for a brief period after only 25 days, one day before Starship Future launched.
Swann discovers parts have been stolen, and is reporting this just to Graff when an alert reports unauthorised activity on the outer wing.
Finlay finds Chuke at the stasis pods. Chuke confirms his suspicion that Swann is an imposter, and gives him the chance to realise Chuke is part of it.
Swann finds Brooke emerging from the outer wing, claiming to be visiting his brother and brother-in-law's capsules, he refuses to stop and she reports to Graff, but there's still an unauthorised presence.
Chuke admits the real Chuke and Swann are dead, left in an airlock before take off, along with around another dozen gang members. Chuke has managed to hack the Helix system, both altering records so his cohorts match the files, and making the system think he is still in the medbay. He intends to have total control by the time they reach Tiergarten, and Finlay is either going to help him or die, a threat is made his family if he tries to report.
The TARDIS materialises, and the Fourth Doctor emerges, ranging to the Time Lords about their diverting him again to do their dirty work. He takes a look around, gets a decent appraisal of where he is, and notices some recently opened Cryo pods. Swann confronts him, accusing him of stowing away, not unreasonably, but then of recently emerging from stasis, which he concedes is more reasonable. She detains him and takes him to Graff.
Interrogations begin from the crew, the Dalek Mutant becoming aware of the Doctor's presence. He opts to be largely honest, while they assume he's the thief. He enquires about what alloys have gone missing, and then explains that he can tell from the condensation some cryopods were recently opened, which Chuke denies since only he can do that. Graff orders the Doctor confined, and Swann and Chuke to check the pods.
With the Doctor onboard, the Dalek opts to accelerate it's plans, having Brooke activate the machine. The power drain to the warp core is detected immediately, but Helix is unable to show cameras in there.
Chuke and Swann lock the Doctor up, conclude he's an investigator awoken by Swann's predecessor, and Swann decides on a while the Doctor will "escape" forcing her to kill him for the sake of the crew, and cover up the thefts. Except Chuke isn't the thief.
The device produces a replacement Gunstick for the Dalek casing, which Brooke fits and properly installs the Dalek within. The Dalek reveals it can produce more Dalek units, and when asked about the mutants, explains Brooke has already provided them, as it has him under mental control.
The Doctor is reciting poetry, when he notices the cell had deactivated, he reports this to Graff and requests a more secure cell. Graff concludes this seems to point to the Doctor not being responsible after all, and perhaps she can use his help. Swann is confused by the Doctor not escaping, and is contacted about the security camera failures by Graff. Swann recommends to Chuke they use the camera failure as their chance to takeover the ship, while she deals with the Doctor.
Swann enters the containment room, targeting the Doctor, realising she aims to kill him he distracts her, allowing Graff to get the drop on her. Brooke approaches Chuke, threatening him with a Gunstick. Chuke mocks him until the gin fires, and threatens him to awaken everyone in section 4. Which Chuke was doing anyway.
The Doctor and Graff interrogate Swann, the Doctor believes she isn't responsible for the sabotage, and grows concerned when Graff mentions Brooke's Dalek. Finway is notified of the revival happening, contacting Graff and asking she meet him.
The Doctor reasons the Dalek was still in the casing when Brooke opened it, and enslaved his mind, and warns one Dalek is enough of a threat. With the Doctor aware of its presence, the Dalek opts to abandon covert methods, ordering Brooke to bring the Doctor and working to melt the ice.
The Doctor and Graff find the armoury empty, and are confronted by Brooke. The Doctor has Graff run, and allows Brooke to take him away.
Chuke finds Swann and frees her, their fellows are waking with the rest of section 4, weapons in medbay to arm the gang, then they can kill the rest.
Graff reaches the bridge, and Finlay seals it off, relating what he knows of Chuke and Swann. Graff wants the power to that section cut, which will kill all of them. He refuses to kill innocents, especially his family, even as she threatens him.
The Doctor meets the Dalek, and questions where it will get the mutants to pilot its new Daleks.
Chuke and Swann go to one of their awakening allies, but he is mutated, and it declares them enemies of the Daleks.
The Doctor recognises those cryostasis are being mutated into new Dalek Mutants, the Dalek's cells implanted on their bodies by Brooke. The Doctor appeals to Brooke's humanity, and the Dalek paralyses the Doctor to prevent interference in it ordering Brooke to mutate himself.
More and more Dalek mutates awaken, to Chuke and Swann's horror, their attempts to kill the mutates fail. Swann abandons Chuke and flees intending to kill Brooke.
The Dalek says it cannot mutate the Doctor into a Dalek, and notes his appearance matches the 4th Doctor they have records of. He has encountered other Doctors, noting a future Doctor was responsible for the destruction of the Dalek Time Ship. The Doctor does not wish to know about future details, as the Dalek tells him he will become a warrior and destroyer, opposed to all he believes in, capable of committing genocide, the Time Lord Victorious. The Doctor doesn't believe it for the most part, but it claims it seeks to warn him away from becoming what it knows of.
Graff is unable to kill Finlay, and Swann contacts them, informing them of the Dalek Mutants, including the children, Finlay is inconsolable. Helix is unable to seal them in.
The Doctor tells the Dalek that when he destroys the Time Squad, he will remember the Dalek, and know he is doing the right thing, the Dalek notes he is condemning the humans aboard Starship Future to become Daleks by that decision. The Dalek starts moving, and Brooke has mutated, and is placed into the Dalek Fabricator.
Finlay detects the power surge from the Fabricator, trying to disconnect power is unsuccessful. Standing orders are expiring of the mission is compromised, then it must be aborted.
The Brooke Dalek emerges and calibrates, as Swann reaches the Doctor. Swann decides to try and destroy the fabricator, and give the Doctor a distraction. Brooke is going to shoot, but is ordered not to die to proximity to the Fabricator, risking it breaking. The Doctor runs, one Dalek shooting and missing, and Swann enters the Fabricator, activating it. The malfunction of the incompatible lifeform causes the Fabricator to explode.
Graff is trying to lead the mutants as the Doctor reaches her and Finlay. He relates Swann's fate. He needs to reach the server room, Finlay is told to lead him, Graff is trying to lead the Mutants to the airlock, loosing them into space.
In the server room, the Doctor accesses Helix, to use it to find the Daleks, seeing this the Brooke Dalek intends to go to the server room, but the original activates Helix's defence system, just as Finlay realises they can do that, pinning them both down with laser fire.
Graff overrides the airlock, luring the mutants inside and opens the door, all of them are sucked into space, herself included.
The power drain caused by the depressurisation causes the defences to stop, the Warp Core power needing to focus on core systems. The interval before backup power starts allows the Doctor to send a electrostatic pulse back to the Daleks, overloading them right before the ship repressurises. Automatic systems nominate Finlay as acting commander.
Finlay sees the Doctor to the TARDIS, he needs to get to work waking the backup crew and explaining everything. The Doctor says he may visit Tiergarten when they're settled, and leaves to Finlay's shock. He heads to start the revival and then tidy up the research centre.
Finlay believes the Daleks incinerated inside their cases, and wonders if he should dump them in space or retain them as trophies, but one starts moving weakly, and exterminates Finlay. The Dalek is damaged, but can repair if it accesses the Warp Core, and plans to do so.
(Continuity Notes: as has previously been noted, the Dalek is a Dalek Drone from the Time Squad sent to the Dark Times, a survivor of the events of Mutually Assured Destruction. It awakened in The Last Message, sending out it's warning message, which was received by the Dalek Emperor and lead to it eventually being in the Dark Times in the first place. After that it attempted to recover in The Hollow Planet, but was shot into space, where, frozen in ice, it was eventually found by Brooke here. After this story it makes its way through the ship in the short video, and still on Starship Future, attempts to repair itself in A Dalek Awakens. The Doctor could be from any point he's known to have traveled solo, this would definitely be after Genesis of the Daleks and probably after Sarah left.)
