This is more of a hopeful thought than a confession, but I’ve seen a lot of posts expecting Lia to have natural hair like Sean in the spin-off. Narratively, though, that wouldn’t really make sense, especially if season 2 picks up right after the finale (unless there's a time skip, I guess).

With Sean, his hair change feels more like a soft retcon, like ‘oh, he’s had twists all along, there weren’t any black hair styles in gacha life.’ But Lia’s hair is different. It means something. It’s canon that she literally straightened her hair when she became friends with Zoey. There’s even that flashback in episode 8 where she has braided, curly hair. She literally changed everything about herself to fit in with her white peers. So if her hair just suddenly changed back to natural off-screen, it would feel like a disservice to her arc.

Also, I noticed a lot of the people making these comments probably don’t know much about Black hair. Like… Lia was probably relaxing or silk-pressing her hair for most of her life. Going natural takes time. There’s heat damage, there’s a whole process to it. I don’t think she’d make that kind of drastic change right after the finale. It would be a journey, not a snap decision!!!

Tldr: PLSS NO OFF SCREEN HAIR CHANGE PLSSS MAKE IT A PLOT POINT, JUST ONE SCENE ROSY PLSS!!!!

I’m sorry to say it, but the over-saturation of Drew content is very slowly chipping away at my enjoyment of Drew’s character.

Which sucks! Because he is interesting. He does have cool stuff going on. But so do a lot of other tmf characters, who I feel like barely ever get as much attention.

And I hate how I can slowly feel myself growing bitter towards his character. Because again, he does have depth and all that. And a lot of the content made for him is awesome! But I’m too petty for my own good, I suppose.

I’m just hoping season two will help remind me why he’s cool and what I liked about him when I first watched the show.
