It's clear from Elias’s gleeful tone as he gently touches a smooth ivory ring on the fourth finger on his right hand after carefully folding the blue handkerchief back into the pocket of his charcoal-black jacket, that this is all battle of wills to him: a game. "This is my first clear day in months!"

Say, if I ever need one of your many tomes, I simply wouldn't be able to risk sending my assistant in my place. You, in all your ruthlessness and pride, may harm him to... retaliate against me for perceived slights, after all. Hypothetically, of course."
