Aunty Shell's chicken pie
Cook chicken, carrots and celery until soft, add chicken stock and water and chicken soup, cook til nice. Put a layer of puff pastry in pie dish. Add chicken and then add another layer of pastry on top. Bake until crispy.

Koeksusters
4 cups flour 1 yeast cube or 1 pot instant yeast
125g marg 1/4 cup sugar
Pinch salt 1T mixed spice
Mix all dry ingredients with marg. If using fresh yeast dissolve in 2 cups Luke warm water and add to mixture. If using dry instant yeast mix with dry ingredients and then add water. Knead well and allow to rise for about 1/2 - 1 hour, covered to keep warm. Roll the koeksusters and boil in oil.
Syrup:
2 cups sugar 2 cups water
1tsp apricot jam 1 tsp vinegar
Boil all together. Dip koeksusters in syrup after boiling and roll in coconut.

Pickled fish
Fillet fish (kingklip) and dip into well beaten egg and fry in oil. Place in a large dish. Let 1 up vinegar and 1 cup water simmer with a few onions thinly sliced for about 30 minutes. Onions must be crisp when removed. Place over fish. Mis 1 heaped dessertspoon curry, 1 dessert spoon flour, 1 tsp sugar and a pinch of salt to a paste with vinegar water and boil stirring u til thick. Add a knob of butter. Pour over fish. Leave to cool.

Chip Chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken pieces
3 TBS Butter
1 TBS garlic
Cheese and Onion crisps
Melt butter and garlic and roll chicken pieces in butter. Put in baking tray. Crush crisps and sprinkle over.  Bake until chicken is cooked.
