Did you know that there are 2 differnt types of polished concrete with various finishes? All of which can affect the look and price? The 2 many types of #polishedconcrete are classified as a #GrindandSeal or #MechanicallyPolishedConcrete . . . . . . With both a Grind and seal or Mechanically Polished concrete we grind back the cream or top of the concrete to reveal as much or as little stone as you want to see. Cream, Random or Full exposure. With a grind and seal we then seal with with a matte, semi gloss or high gloss. We can use anything from an Arcrylic to a Polyaspartic coating all depending on the intended use for your space and life expectancy requirements. With Mechanically Polished Concrete is the actual concrete it self that shines not a topical coating. After exposing the aggregate we grout the floor and do a number of steps of densifying and hardening the floor before we polish it a number of times to reach your desired level of sheen which we offer in Honed Matte Gloss Super gloss Northern touch . . . . . #MechanicallyPolishedConcrete starts with a solid foundation as the end results are that of the concrete shining naturally with out the enhancement that some topical sealers will provide. . . . . . Our view is that a properly #refined floor should allow water to bead off without the help of a sealer once polished.
