Hello!!!! I just finished reading your fic construct a summer home and it is so beautiful omg. Quick question, as I am slightly new to nhl and the kraken. (also sorry if this is actually answered in the fic and i didn't see it) but, is Vince's injury based on something that actually happened to him? and what exactly is his injury (in the fic and/or in real life). I understand in the fic it is quite severe given that he can't fly. Anyway, wonderful wonderful fic, loved what i have read very much and am very excited to read anything else you post <3

Yes! His injury is based off his injury on march2024 against the Calgary flames! The video still makes me squeamish so watch at your own risk. I blew it way out of proportion on purpose to fit my Narratives but it did affect Vince’s play for awhile. And that’s why we all hate the flames.
