Croatia summer outreach, #2
Thank you for your continued prayers. Yesterday evening, we finished the third and last day of our Vacation Bible School. The weather was so hot here that we moved our club to later in the evening, but even so, there were fewer kids in attendance. However, the kids who were there did a great job paying attention to the Bible story, singing the songs, reciting the three Bible memory verses, and…

Croatia summer outreach, #1
Thank you for praying for us. As you may know from the previous post, we were delayed for two days getting to Croatia. Just today, our luggage finally arrived, another three days late (for a total of five days late). But, the team in Croatia, as well as all the summer teamers, have been great, have rolled with the changes, and have done a great job being flexible. As of this writing, we have…

At Kansas City airport, getting ready to leave We were supposed to leave Kansas City on Wednesday morning to connect in Chicago, and then Munich, Germany, and then go on to Zagreb, Croatia. But due to bad weather, the KC flight was delayed, so we missed the connection in Chicago. A very long story short, we couldn’t get flights, so we had to stay in Chicago two nights at our own…

(See pictures below of others who also got a copy of the Gospel of Luke in their heart language.) As you may recall, though we are making good progress in translating the Bible into several Roma languages, there are two languages in which we were only able to finish translating Luke. For…

Greetings from Kenya!
Swahili for “Welcome to Kenya” Bible translation requires many hands on deck. Our organization’s goal of seeing the Bible translated into 1,000 languages by 2050 means there is a lot of work to do. That means that in addition to checking the translation of verses in specific languages, I need to help train others to be qualified to check verses in other languages, too. To help equip me for this…
