i love you, i've always loved you, i will always love you

it's commitment, it's devotion, it goes often without saying, but is felt nonetheless. it's accepting that you would travel to hell and back for them if they asked and knowing that they would do the same for you. it's an old ache, long after they've burrowed deep into your chest and settled there like a weight- grounding, an anchor point. even when you're apart, you can still feel the shape of them, it's like phantom pain. neither of you can help but succumb to the other's gravity, yet neither of you fear the collision. it means that you trust them, that they make you feel safe, that they feel like home.

Katsuki had a secret, and Shouto loved that he was the only one who knew about it.

When they first met--in fact, when they first started dating--he would have never thought that Katsuki had such a romantic side to him. He wasn't always smooth with his words and was a bit awkward about small public displays of affection. Of course, that had changed a bit over time, but when it was just the two of them, Katsuki would drop all of his gruffness at the door and engulf Shouto with a sometimes overwhelming amount of love. It was special, it was wonderful, and it was his.

Katsuki's actions spoke louder than words, and in this instance, he decided to surprise him with a rooftop picnic under the stars. Shouto could tell he put a lot of thought into this impromptu date, from the homemade dishes, to the plush blankets underneath them, to the gentle flickering candles enveloping them in a soft yellow light amidst the night sky. Shouto didn't know if the warmth he was feeling was from the candles, or the blanket covering them, or the happiness bubbling up in his chest. He curled into his boyfriend a little more tightly than before and gazed up at his face.

Katsuki looked beautiful in the glow of the candles and the twinkling of the stars. He almost took Shouto's breath away once he noticed the small upward turn of his lips. Though smiles were less rare than they used to be, Shouto felt as if the newest one was as special as the first.

He reached for Katsuki's cheek and pulled his attention away from the sky. In return, he received a small sound of confusion that he quickly cut off with his lips. Shouto couldn't help it; he had to kiss him in that moment. The mood was perfect, the date was perfect...everything was just perfect. The moment he felt Katsuki relax into the kiss, Shouto felt himself pushing himself closer, wanting to show his appreciation for what his boyfriend had done for him.

Though they had been dating a few weeks, being in his arms with his head buried in her hair was something she was still getting used to. Her fingers grasped onto the back of his hoodie, as if she was using him as an anchor to keep her from flusteredly floating away.

"I changed my shampoo and my conditioner recently. I thought that the strawberry scent was really pleasant without being too strong, so I'm glad you like it too."

It's been a little while since I've been on the roleplaying scene, but I'm back! My name is Lana, and I'm twenty-five years old! . If you were on one of my previous blogs, hello again! If you're new, welcome!
