I guess the sub text is that Nesta doesn't like Mor's dress becuase its slutty. That’s my initial reaction when you call it slut shaming. Other than Nesta maybe saying she wouldn’t make Mor take her clothes off in public??? I don’t know, I’m clutching at straws becuase I just read it as "How grateful you must be that I'm not going to steal your clothes... becuase they're hideous" and it being particularly hurtful becuase Mor is proud of the way she dresses.
I think Nesta is hurt by the comment and bites back becuase so much freedom and choice has been taken from her, for a fae to imply that she was going to steel even more...
Ok I know I never post about ACOTAR on here but I have a question thats been bugging me for years. This isnt salt or hate or anything its a genuine question
How was the dress interaction between Mor and Nesta a prickly one? Like Mor came up to Nesta, touched her dress and said something along the lines of 'i like it so much i might just have to take it for myself' and Nesta said 'lucky for you i dont return the sentiment'
And everyone in the fandom seems to unanimously agree Nesta was slut shaming Mor??? At least when it first was released people thought that? How? I dont tend to notice when something mean is said so I admit maybe Im missing something so can someone explain please?

@faenet event: Archetypes ➵ Utopia
“We are lucky to have him, Feyre.” I turned from the door. “I have known many High Lord,” Amren continued, studying her paper. “Cruel ones, cunning ones, weak ones, powerful ones. But never one that dreamed. Not as he does.” “Dreams of what?” I breathed. “Of peace. Of freedom. Of a world united, a world thriving, Of something better—for all of us.”

You know, I think Nesta is possibly the only character who could change the way the Inner Circle functions if only for the fact that she is so contentiously regarded. She messes everything up, everything they have learned to live around. It makes so much sense that the Inner circle doesn’t accept her–or don’t really try to get to know her or to understand her. Because realistically, she brings up things they don’t want to deal with.
When Nesta is hurting and depressed, she’s the only one who isn’t ignoring the trauma and moving on. She reminds them that all isn’t right in the Court of Dreams. If Nesta shows feelings for Cassian, she’s messing up the weird loveless triangle that Cassian, Mor, and Azriel have going on. If she doesn’t show love to Cassian, Cassian is forced to face his own insecurities about being worthy of love and being born a bastard and so he ignores her constantly because what else would you do if you can potentially be rejected.
If she doesn’t do a job that Rhysand assign’s her, not only does he not have her in his arsenal when the potential of her powers is extreme and he’s lost the powers of his second in command, he also faces the fact that Feyre isn’t completely content and he’s dealing with insecurity about Feyre and her possible resentment towards him in the future. Not to mention that Nesta could potentially remind Rhysand of his own traumas, since they both mirror each other in personality and background. Elain, too, loses her foundation because Nesta isn’t there and “taking care” of her happiness so to speak. If Nesta doesn’t heal, than Feyre cannot forgive herself, because she still blames herself for being the cause of this whole situation.
All of this puts Nesta in the middle, so I am so glad that SJM decided to make this continued series. Her POV was a sliver of the book and yet there she was always being talked about–spending their money, not going to events, drinking, moving to the “slums” of Velaris, not talking to Cassian, not speaking to her sisters. She was spoken about more than she was probably in the book. And Nesta is generally regarded as the outsider looking in. Never interacting, but examining, judging. She’s there, but not really. This is the reason why I actually loved ACOFAS so much, because even though Nesta was barely in that book, she overshadowed everything. A prodding stick in their side that’s telling all of them “something is off here.” A haunting of a sort, something dreadful coming even if they want to close their eyes and pretend it’s all a dream.
Because let’s not forget we have the queens to deal with and Nesta wants them dead as she’s said before. Nesta is going to Illyria so that puts her in the center of that conflict, and she still has so much untapped power that it puts her in the center of almost every conflict, especially the one that probably has to do with Koschei being a death god. She is cauldron incarnate, so the potential for her character to be world-changing is amazing and oh my god I can’t wait for this book!!

soft nessian: a series
I saw this picture from Pinterest and felt like I had to draw the Cassian and Nesta version. All I want from ACoSF is Nesta with her hair down around Cassian and if they’re planning military strategy together too then that’s also cool

Nesta Stans,
If your upset imagine how Sjm feels reading the absolute hate comments about the character she
BASED OFF HERSELF
Like she stated multiple times that acofas was written during a difficult time for her and she projected those emotions onto Nesta as an outlet. Then the fanbase completely ripped that charecter apart.

This is random, but I was thinking we use lots of ‘o’s when we talk about something being ‘too’ much... i.e being a lot.
So, we should use lots of ‘o’s when we talk about something being ‘soo’ much!
I think it would clear up the very small amount of confusion that sometimes occures in rare situations...

NO. Just NO.
Maeve tricked an entire country into thinking she was the sister of 2 Gods so she could rule over them. Not only that but she tricked a male into thinking someone was his mate so she could kill the mate to ruin him so that he would swear an oath, which she manipulates to force him to kill multiple cities worth of people as well as allowing him to make friends with her other oath people even though she occassionally forces them to whip each other, not even to punish the person being whipped, just becuase she can whip that person to hurt the other one who did do something she just didn’t like.
Amarantha was a sadist, but she never actually conquered Pyrithian, becuase she wasn’t an evil mastermind like Maeve.
Maeve: You were brought down by a human... becuase she solved a riddle... you staked your conquest on a riddle.
Armarantha: ...whoops
If Maeve and Armarantha met
*Armarantha and Maeve trying to determine who is more evil
Armarantha: I tortured an innocent girl
Maeve: I tortured my niece
Armarantha: I beat up my lover's mate
Maeve: I beat up my niece
Armarantha: I forced a girl to do three dangerous tasks so she could get her boyfriend back, but I ended up killing her anyways
Maeve: I... What?
Armarantha: it's true
Armarantha: I also forced her to stab the man she loved through the heart
Maeve: Wow
Maeve: teach me your ways

So confused about how this is a problem. Gavriel is great!
Will someone please kill me. It’s been literal ages since I’ve read Throne of Glass and Mack knows I’m finally re-reading it so she’s decided to spam me with memes about it. Today I got a photo of my fiance right next to fanart of Gavriel… MY FIANCE LOOKS LIKE GAVRIEL! My daddy issues really decided to just go for it…
They have the same hair color and length and the same eye color. Why did Mack have to bring that up??? I am never going to be able to unsee this. I accidentally started dating real life Gavriel. I will now be passing away.
