He shoves the broomstick on the other’s face, in order to try and halt their progress.

Suddenly his alarm clock started to ring! He could have enjoyed those extra 5 minutes of sleep.

               “ b--because... because!! ”

     because... he didn’t know the answer, alright? he panicked and flew off to the closest person on his mind. morty was sadly his first choice seeing as lance was slightly intimidating and he didn’t want this to be a huge deal yet. regardless of his efforts the bird slides in successfully, falling onto his ass in front of the window, on morty’s floor. oof!

               “ i’m just worried, alright?! do you think the pokemon are alright?! they’re usually sleeping at this time of night! ”

"Tell me Falkner, what other job can you see yourself doing other than being a Gym Leader."

               “ you’ve never asked me such a personal question before. forgive me for being taken aback. ”

     a different job? that wasn’t something he had thought about since becoming a gym leader years ago. as a child he had fantasized about many different jobs, namely those related to his father in some way. but if he had to choose...

               “ i would expand upon my aviary, i suppose. create a sanctuary for flying type pokemon for rest, care, and rehabilitation. if you mean a real job... well, then i guess something akin to a pilot would suffice... or maybe a pokemon ranger? would that be interesting? ”

     one of his idols or a very beautiful, talented man?

     he just goes silent and closes his eyes. this was too much. too hard. too... embarrassing. far too embarrassing for him to even think about. the man just stares at steven for a moment, hand clasped over his face in attempts to retain his decency, before he just shakes his head and shuffles away a bit.

               “ ... i am not worthy enough to do such a thing to either of them. but i truly couldn’t bring myself to throw myself at miss winona. do not tell wallace about this. ”

               “ my... friends. my comrades. you truly know how to make a man sweat. ”

     clearing his throat, he raises a fist to rest at his chin. a hard choice, to say the least. if he was honest, he cared for them both very deeply... of course, falkner had a deep connection to all his fellow gym leaders but... these two were as close to him as someone could get. how uncomfortable.

                    “ well... if you want me to be honest... do i truly have to pick? ”

     siiiigh. bugsy was adorable, there was no denying that. very soft and kind. he can’t help but want to press his hands to his cheeks... or something like that. and on the other hand, morty was... frustrating! a laidback, annoying, attractive-- ugh! he wouldn’t allow the other to have the pleasure! hmph!

                “ bugsy! now begone! ”

     his brows furrow as he thinks on the choice. will was mysterious... what did he have to hide under that mask? and psychic type trainers always knew too much for him to be comfortable. and karen... he doesn’t think too much on her, lips tugging into a deep frown.
