About us
Tokyo Crusaders take part in two competitions throughout the year - the Shuto League in autumn/winter and the Tokyo Cup in spring. We also have several friendly matches throughout the year. Our annual dues are ¥15,000, which entitles you to club shorts, club socks, club warmup shirt, club polo shirt, JRFU registration and additional sports insurance. Your dues also help us pay for ground fees, referee transportation, league fees and competition fees, to name just a few. In addition to these fees, we charge ¥1,000 for each match in which you are on the pitch for more than a quarter. Training sessions in Japan tend to work a bit differently than the rest of the world. Because almost no amateur clubs in Tokyo have their own ground or clubhouse, they are forced to book one of several municipal grounds throughout the city to use for matches and training. However, because demand for grounds is so high it's very difficult to consistently reserve a specific time and place to use for training. Combine this with members' widely varying schedules and mid-week training sessions are rarely doable. The training sessions we do hold are generally done on weekends when we don't have a game. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in playing rugby with us. Do note, however, that we are strictly an amateur club and are therefore unable to offer any sort of contract, job or visa assistance.
