Hi! I've recently discovered this, and I had a couple questions! So, as someone who is still in school, I was wondering which breeds are the best to adopt for someone who is out from about 7:30 to 4pm, sometimes fiveish, as well as ok with loud noises such as music or goats. You've mentioned adamantly in the past that housing dreams and Tommy's together is a very bad idea, but would a Wilbur be ok near a dream? Thank you!
Wilburs are significantly more likely to contract villainification when housed with a dream, but my understanding is that they will not attack each other. Do with that info what you will. Note that I am not an expert on either breed.

So update on the wild Dream that’s around my house: I’ve considered getting something to trap him in. But that means he could be trapped during a weekend and I’ll have to have the cage inside my house which is a big no-no because of my Tommy and Ranboo.
I’m going to consider buying a trap and asking one of my neighbours to set it up, or look for any plants i could plants that ward off Dreams but not Tommys and Ranboos so they can still chill around in my garden. But that will be hard.
If anyone has any tips i would greatly appreciate them!

hi!! love your blog, it’s so cute hearing about your tommys!! i’m looking on getting one, but i have a jack manifold of the dsmp variety. he keeps stealing wires and tools from around my house and i think he’s trying to build a bomb, which i know is a stress behaviour for a jack manifold. would a tommy work as a friend to keep him company while i’m at work? i can’t remember if they get along well with jack manifolds or not
Almost certainly not. I've heard of a few cases where they get along, but I REALLY wouldn't recommend having a tommy and a jack manifold in the same house

Hi! I asked a lot earlier about a good mcyt for me while im in school, and i thought i should give an update!
I know this breed isnt in your expertise but i wanted to share what i had learned about them and a question near the end :)
I found an abandoned pair of Hermits (hermitcraft), a Doc and Ren. It took a lot of coaxing but once i had the Ren secured in my car (weakness for sweet food it seems), the Doc followed without resistance (just lots of glaring).
I took them to the vet, and they were relatively healthy all things considered. I wanted to try just fostering them, but fell in love with their charm.
Heres some quirks i've noticed:
-Doc has the tendency to try and dismantle any electronics nearby, this has resulted in my dedicating an entire room for them to stay in while im away so my poor coffee machine stays in tack.
-Ren does similar things, but with furniture. it seems they both want to create things from scratch so i have made a deal with a local thrift store to buy unfixable items for cheaper.
-Doc is SUPER independent, basically never comes up to me for pets, i would start using a machine feeder for him too but he would obviously just destroy it.
-Ren on the other hand is CLINGY, Doc doesnt seem to mind having him on his heels at all times, and i certainly dont mind the cuddles (even if he sometimes crushes my poor lungs.)
The pair seem quite happy, but im always watching for things i can improve :)
Now for my question!: Doc looks quite similar to a Sam, and I was concerned about potentially triggering some tommys trauma. Whats the relationship between Sams and Tommys like?
Doc is very respectful, but can be abrasive when annoyed (he also forgets his own size)
Picture of the babies!!:
Aww! Cute guys :) Tommys are generally alright with sams, as in, they aren't natural enemies. Though a particularly nervous tommy will get anxious around pretty much anything unfamiliar, plus, an easily annoyed mcyt (which it sounds like your doc might be?) rarely mixes well with a nervous tommy, since any time they get brave enough to release energy they get growled at. If you want a tommy, try to get a more resilient one, maybe an origins?
(Previous(I think))

Other diseases/illegal breeds
Woobification- Can affect any of them but is most common in the dsmp class and dsmp bench trio. Symptoms are self-pity, crying a lot, developing puppy dog eyes and others around them slowly becoming more like caregivers than they are normally. Fatal because the woobie will eventually stop eating out of fear something bad will happen
Villainification- Most common in DSMP Wilbur. Symptoms are red eyes, becoming meaner than normal and being feared by other MCYTS. Fatal if the villain self destructs
Parentification-Common in older MCYTS such as Philza, Mumza, Puffy and Awesam. Symptoms involve younger MCYTS becoming dependent on them, becoming softer and more parental, and over protective of younger MCYTS. Is related to Fridging. Is not fatal but does alter personality and can disturb younger MCYTS so should be taken to a doctor
The Crimson- WARNING:HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS. QUARANTINE MCYTS WITH THIS DISEASES IMMEDIATELY. Commonly originates in DSMP Bad, Skeppy, Ant and Hannah but can easily spread to other MCYTS. Symptoms are hostile behavior, cult like behavior, drawings of eggs and red growths on their skin. Not fatal but a cure has not been found at this time
Double Life Syndrome- Two MCYTS who share lives due to a genetic defect. Commonly happens in the Hermitcraft class and if they are born near each other. Results in both MCYTS sharing lives. Common pairs include Grian and Scar, Pearl and Scott and Soliditary and Tango. Must be very careful with these ones.
Hardcore-MCYTS specifically bred to have one life instead of the usual three or unlimited. It is now illegal to do this. Can happen to any MCYT however nowadays Hardcore Philzas are the most common. This is due to a Philza’s already high survival tendencies making them perfect for fighting arenas and have bets placed on. Must be treated with extreme care and a hardcore Philza is required to have a comfort Mumza or Technoblade with him
@demonadelem here ya go I added one more :D

So, you want to get a tommy
Great! Tommys are wonderful creatures and full of personality. But there are things you should consider before getting them:
Tommys have a very long lifespan compared to dogs or cats- 35-40 years to be exact. A tommy is a big commitment and if you're on the older side you might even need to pass yours on to another family member.
Tommys are extremely energetic, overwhelmingly so. By the time I finish tiring out my tommys, I'm usually sweating and exhausted (love them though)
The most popular breed of tommy (dsmp or canon depending on who you ask) are significantly more prone to anxiety than other breeds. Please do not get one just because you've seen them online
Tommys have diets that may be upsetting to some people- they eat bugs and shellfish (and fruit), if you're upset by either, don't get one, please.
All that being said, here's a quick and dirty guide to getting your first tommy!
Choosing a tommy
There are lots of ways to choose a tommy, there's plenty of shelters to choose from and most house every kind of tommy. I recommend going in person and picking whichever you feel the closest to- but picking a specific breed is fine too! I'll leave a guide to the two breeds I know best (feel free to add info about other breeds)
DSMP/Canon - As previously stated, a very popular breed of tommy. They form strong bonds with owners and other pets and generally mix well with other popular mcyts such as tubbos and wilburs. However, they are easily startled and can be very messy due to being burrowers. They're also known to experience strong 'play aggression' and can accidentally injure others if they get too riled up.
Origin(s) - I know much less about this breed, but I still feel confident speaking on them as I have fostered origins tommys in the past. Origins tommys are much more mentally sound than dsmp breeds and do not have the major caveat of having to eat bugs as they are completely vegetarian! However, they do have minor flight abilities, which may be a turn-off for some owners.
Setting up your home for your tommy
Tommys need an outdoor area of at least 25 sq ft for digging and general enrichment. Tommys who are let outside unsupervised should be belled to prevent damage to the local ecosystem and the tommy themselves, as they have a bad habit of eating birds and squirrels, fur and bones, which they cannot digest.
All tommys need a small, private space to hide and rest in. A cardboard box will do just fine under most circumstances as long as it is large enough for your tommy to stretch out in to prevent claustrophobic anxiety (which dsmp tommys are especially prone to).
Lastly, tommys need chew toys. Chewing is their main way of relieving stress and expressing joy and not having a consistent outlet for it is extremely upsetting for them.
Additional advice
Tommys cannot swim and should not be let near bodies of water deeper than knee-height.
Dsmp tommys are terrified of heights and should not be placed on counters or tables.
Tommy's Can be picked up by the scruff

Believe it or not, this is fine! (Well, the price is a bit low...) Tommy's are one of the few mcyts that can be safely scruffed into adulthood (and it is very funny)
who wants this thing? selling him for 2 pounds and a pack of gum.

Any advice on how Tommys are with Wilburs? I’ve truly wanted a Wilbur for quite some time now; but ive had my tommy longer and I’m afraid of them either not getting along, or upsetting my tommy. But ive also heard theres times they’ll get along perfectly?
Wilburs and tommys generally get along very well. What's important is that the wilbur isn't easily upset. A wilbur with a quick temper can get annoyed by a tommy very easily- It's unlikely for a wilbur to hurt a tommy on purpose, but there can be a lot of growling and whining and shoving and nipping from both sides. Wilburs and tommys bond very quickly and easily, so if you want to get a wilbur, you should be very sure about it. My advice is to take your tommy with you to pick a wilbur so you know which one would be best with your tommy- Note that wilburs don't necessarily need to be high energy to pair well with a tommy, just calm and attentive (tommys HATE being ignored).

Well hello there!
I am an owner of a Tommy and a Ranboo. My Tommy needs to wear his own type of pyjamas so he won't injure himself, my Ranboo just likes them!
Feel free to ask about my pets!
