How being Bilingual can benefit everyday life
As I have mentioned that the Spanish language and being bilingual will help me as a Business Owner. I will be able to have more opportunities and it will put my brand on the map! However, being bilingual not only will help you with your future occupation, but it can help you in everyday situations. One of the most important situations is if you are traveling to a different country. While being in a different country it is vital that you can understand when others are communicating. Even if you can't understand, then it is good to have a translator with you or if someone is bilingual. When my Dad and I went to Puerto Vallarta, it was hard for us to hold a conversation in Spanish. We can sort of comprehend the words, but we were not fluent. Luckily we went with my cousins and Uncle. My Uncle is a decent Spanish speaker and I would consider him Bilingual. He was basically our translator and helped us out throughout the trip. In some cases when tourists don't speak Spanish, then native Spanish people can take advantage of raising the price for anything when they would not normally do it to someone who is a native Spanish speaker. Also, if you have a friend that speaks Spanish, then it would be good to know how to respond. There can be a life or death situation when you would need to respond in Spanish. You just never know when you need to use another language, and I believe it is very important to be a bilingual person!

Family Background and importance of passing languages down for generations
My Great Grandma Elpida on my Dad's side was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico. My Great Grandpa Sergio on the same side is from Cebu, Philippines. Also, my Great Grandma truck on my Mom's side is from Mexico City, Mexico. My family tree is full of diverse backgrounds, and I've always took heavy pride in that. My Great Grandma Elpida moved to Wilmington, California and envisioned a better opportunity there instead of being in Mexico. My Great Grandpa Sergio also left Cebu to start a better life in Wilmington, California. My Great Grandma truck also left Mexico City to live in San Pedro. Most of my family went to the Harbor area, and I'm very thankful for that. Sometimes I sit back and realize that I really could potentially be living in Mexico or the Philippines. I don't mean that in the bad way, but I'm grateful my Great Grandparents noticed the opportunities of America. There is only one important piece I wish my Great Grandparents passed down. Their parents were bilingual, but my Great Grandparents stopped speaking Spanish and Tagalog to my Grandparents. Once that happens, then chances of becoming bilingual become slimmer. I believe it is so important to continue passing down teaching of diverse languages. If you are bilingual, then make sure to continue teaching the language. You don't want something beneficial to go to waste. When I become bilingual, I will make sure to pass it down to my children. This is almost like a chain reaction, and my children will pass it down to their children!

How Spanish can help me as a future Business Owner
There are many impactful ways that Spanish can help me benefit as a Business Owner in the future. To me Business is all about expanding and connections. I want my Business to be global, and it would be important to be bilingual. If I become bilingual in Spanish, then that can help me communicate with someone who speaks Spanish. Not all people speak English, and if I can't comprehend what someone is saying then I can lose out on Business. Another benefit that would help my Business is that I would be able to hire employees that speak Spanish, or are bilingual. Not only would I hire Spanish speakers, but I can hire other people that are bilingual. This will boost the diversity for my company, and many others from around the world would notice. This will continue to bring in revenue and boost the expansion of my Business. I always wondered what makes a brand global and how all these successful Owners bring in good connections. The key to this all is having a strong Bilingual team. When I think of the designer brands Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Dior, Burberry, etc. all have bilingual employees. They care for diversity and realize not only Americans shop. This is exactly how all these designer brands make millions and millions. I will be working very hard to become bilingual, and I would want the same result to happen for my Business. This is a beneficial agenda, and others should push to become bilingual and fluent in other languages.
