Microsoft Office, like many companies in recent months, has slyly turned on an “opt-out” feature that scrapes your Word and Excel documents to train its internal AI systems. This setting is turned on by default, and you have to manually uncheck a box in order to opt out.

If you are a writer who uses MS Word to write any proprietary content (blog posts, novels, or any work you intend to protect with copyright and/or sell), you’re going to want to turn this feature off immediately.How to Turn off Word’s AI Access To Your Content

I won’t beat around the bush. Microsoft Office doesn’t make it easy to opt out of this new AI privacy agreement, as the feature is hidden through a series of popup menus in your settings:On a Windows computer, follow these steps to turn off “Connected Experiences”:

File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Optional Connected Experiences > Uncheck box: “Turn on optional connected experiences”

Second time using homemade bookcloth and I’m getting a hang(ster) of it 🤭 But this was the FIRST TIME I didn’t ruin HTV! I always use permanent vinyl with my binds but now that I’ve been dipping my toes in with bookcloth, I had to crawl back to HTV and make an offering to the vinyl gods.

Photos of Hangman and Rooster are from the movie, and the aircraft manual was pulled from online. The photos in the polaroids are all public domain images from the USNA and DVIDs.

⚙️ ”In All Timelines… In All Possibilities…” a @weatheredlaw JayVik anthology ⚙️

I’m quite proud of how this one turned out so figured I’d share it here.

This was my first time doing sprayed edges and it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be! The acceleration rune was printed at my local public library using icosplayinsanity’s Jayce Acceleration Rune printable file. Airbrushed it that pretty sky blue and then threw on a few coats of glow in the dark blue paint.

All the chapter header art are screengrabs from “Arcane.” I had a lot of fun going through and finding ones that would fit each story, especially since most of them are modern AUs.

🌳“Don’t Let the Forest In” by CG Drews🌳

This is my first rebind in almost a year: featuring homemade book cloth (thanks, mom), my first cutout, and assorted greenery from Michael’s. I knew going into this rebind the general look I wanted, so it was a matter of problem solving (and a lot of hot glue) to make it a reality.

I first read this because of QBC, and since then have lent it to a few friends. Highly, highly recommend this book for any horror fans out there.
